Away From Keyboard #9

Protecting His Target

Rate this book
Ronan
After a stint in the Irish Defense Forces, I drifted. No purpose, no place I felt truly at home. Until I joined Second Sight, Boston's leading security and protection firm. It's more than a job. It's a family. One I don't deserve. One of these days, they'll see through my sarcasm and bravado and realize I'm just a screw up.

My first solo assignment? Hunt down a trained assassin and stop her. Whatever it takes. But the more I learn about Zephyr, the more I wonder if there's more to this case than meets the eye.

Zephyr
I was set up by the only family I've ever known. On the run, always looking over my shoulder, unable to trust anyone. Until I land in Boston, searching for the one man who can clear my name. The only other person to ever escape the Strauss Cartel.

I should have known I was walking into a trap. My only hope of survival? Convince the Irish hunk holding me at gunpoint I’m not the person he thinks I am.
And wonder what it would be like to kiss him.

Protecting His Target is the 9th book in the Away From Keyboard series. Each book can be enjoyed as a complete standalone, but characters from past books always show up sooner or later.

Update after Audiobook:

Both Will Watts and Sofia Lette are new narrators to me, but that didn't deter me from desperately wanting to listen the moment I could get my hands on this audiobook. While I have many 1-click authors, the only time I know I'm guaranteed to enjoy an audiobook is when it's one of Patricia Eddy's. The narrators are always impeccably cast, and with a wide range of accents, emotions and action-packed material to wade through, they hit the mark every single time.

Will Watts hit all the right notes with a swoon-worthy brogue that I could honestly listen to all day. He perfectly conveyed Ronan's constant struggle between doing what was expected versus doing what he thought was right. Alongside him, Sofia Lette has quickly become one of my favorite female narrators, by packing all of Zephyr's sass and vulnerability into each and every line. Her broken yet stubborn strength was so clear during the climax of the story, and as a listener, it was impossible not to get swept away.

I'd absolutely recommend a listen to this, whether it's your first time through the story, or you're revisiting like me.

Original Review:

It's always a good month when there's a new Patricia D. Eddy book being released.

Protecting His Target was a thrilling read, very much in line with the *very* tall bar set by the other novels in her Away From Keyboard series. While we've seen Ronan on previous missions, I enjoyed getting past the barriers he'd built around his heart, and watching as he infuriated himself trying to break through Zephyr's own misgivings.

But this man—this amazing, romantic, handsome man—is turning me into someone I don’t recognize. Someone with wants. Needs. Desires. All of which could get me killed.

Their banter throughout the book was second only, in my mind, to the verbal slaps we often hear between my (yep, claimed) dear Ryker and Wren. In fact, it'd be no stretch to say that Zephyr is definitely a new favorite character of mine.

The true mark of a good novel is the emotional ride it pulls you through, and there was no shortage of that here. I laughed ("Sit still and look pretty" nearly had me choking on my meal at the time"), cringed in sympathy, and cried more than once. Though the heroes featured in these novels often toe the line when it comes to their missions, it was a whole new level when Ronan felt he had to stand between the woman he was falling for and his brothers-in-arms.

Despite being a highly anticipated release, this book met every expectation. While newcomers to the series could easily step in and enjoy the story on its own, I'd recommend enjoying the series from the beginning so you can truly appreciate all these characters have to offer in their found family.

Though I have a copy on preorder, I received an advanced copy from the author, and am leaving my review voluntarily.

Nine times out of ten, Patricia D. Eddy's books get a five star review from me. And the book always deserves it. Not this one. This one deserves six or seven, or more. This deserves its own place in my library so I can go back to it again. Lots of reasons for this, but the first, and main one, is that it is a well written book about ... family, love, trust. There's another reason or two, but I'll get to those.

This book is Ronan's story. Ronan and Zephyr. Ronan has been introduced previously in the "Away From The Keyboard" series, so we aren't a total stranger to him. I liked him by the second page of the book. The fact that he's scared to death of Dax enamored him to me from the first. That he believed in Zephyr from the second he met her, grabbed me second. The book has more paramilitary action than a couple of others in the series, but every step taken by any character fits the story. There isn't any head-scratching asking yourself why someone is doing something. You are in the minds of Zephyr and Ronan each step of the way.

And interesting heads they are. Especially when Ronan dares laugh at Ryker. That alone deserves an award. Then we have Wren telling Ryker to "look pretty". I'm pretty sure my coffee and the keyboard weren't supposed to meet like that. Then we have the secondary character which blew me away. We'd met her before, but she attracted my attention enough that my focus was no longer on the story, but on ... Raelynn. She only has two or three lines in the entire book, and is part of the action, but she's a keeper (note to Ms. Eddy. This is a hint - Raelynn needs to be let out of the TBW pile). She's funny, irreverent, and fit so well into this series, it was perfect.

And of course, because family is the most important thing to this bunch, we see most of them at the end. Because the lesson in the book is one that Zephyr learns. They pull out all the stops for family.

Ms. Eddy, you wrote a good book. The ARC was wonderful! The emotions, as always, were real. This book reminded Ronan, Zephyr and me that family isn't necessarily the people you are related to. Family are the ones you love, care for, and trust.

I am at the point I really don't know what to say! This book really pulled at the Heartstrings, I actually cried at certain parts. I believe this has been my favorite book of the whole year! I love all her Away From Keyboard but his one was amazing. I can't put into words what this book meant to me but I will say this if you don't read it, then it is your loss! All books by Patricia D. Eddy are wonderful and I highly recommend all of them but Ronan and Zephyr is by far my favorite and I recommend that you read it. Great great job Patricia!

What do you do when it is your job to hunt down an assassin but your gut is telling you that things are not what they seem? In Ronan's case he finds himself drawn to the woman he has been hired to bring down. So when sparks fly and walls are destroyed both Zephyr and Ronan find themselves working against all odds to fight for her freedom. Will those that want her dead stop them in their tracks? Or will Ronan and all of his Second Sight family members stop everyone in their tracks? Once again Patricia D. Eddy takes the reader on a wild ride that they will not want to get off. From the opening pages I instantly fell in love with Zephyr and only wanted Ronan to help her. It does not get any better than mayhem and romance - you will not be able to put this book down.

Edited to add - the audiobook was one of the best I have listened to in a long time - perfect narrators with awesome accents that just add another layer to the story - PERFECTION.

I absolutely love this series and could read all the books over and over again. Ronan and Zephyr made my heart melt, they were so tentative with their feelings but you knew they would be perfect together. Ronan had such doubts and was lacking in self confidence, he didn’t need to, he was made for Zephyr. How he completely and instinctively trusted her was so beautiful to see. Fantastic support in the book from Dax, Trevor and the second sight team, a true family. I loved West when he arrived an alpha to the core! Ryker and Wren - oh my heart!! Overall another fantastic read- Patricia you spoil us! I can’t wait for the next book in this series , maybe Raelynn or Tank? Rogue survivor is next though and I know I will love it.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "PROTECTING HIS TARGET". This was definitely one wild intense mind-blowing rollercoaster ride, full of violence, danger, torture, betrayal, trust issues, passion, fear, humor, twists that you didn't see coming such an addicting non-stop action storyline.
Ronan Murphy has always felt like an outsider until he joined Second Sight Boston's leading Security & Investigations Protection Firm they were all family but it was still hard for him to feel part of them.
Dax informs he's promoted Ronan after their last mission & he's getting a solo assignment to tract down Zephyr a trained assassin who apparently murdered oneone but she was set up by Alex & Francois Strauss Cartel brothers she stole info from them they'd hunting her for 4yrs.
Ronan thinks theres something off about the case when he gets Zephyr at gun point something about her he knows she's not a killer & decides to help her prove her innocence.
I definitely recommend to get this extremely well written story that has you on the edge of your seat to the very end & what an ending it was.
I'm so looking forward to the next book in this series "ROGUE SURVIVOR" Connors story who is QUINTONS brother can't wait. PHENOMINAL READ!!!!!

As with every other book in the Away From the Keyboard series, Patricia Eddy sweeps you up into intrigue, mystery, fast paced action, emotional turmoil and steamy romance. You root for the characters throughout despite knowing they'll get it right and have a happy ever after. Ronan's lack of confidence in his skills and abilities tugged at my heartstrings. Zephyr's "on the run" existence was equally disheartening. One of my favorite themes that runs throughout is how Dax and Ryker stress the importance of the team being considered family. Family always have each other's backs...no matter what. What a fabulous story!

Patricia Eddy writes gritty, military romance and takes you on a roller coaster of emotions!
Projecting His Target is book #9 in the Away From Keyboard series. You'd think by the 9th installment the story line would start getting stale and repetitive, but you would be wrong!!
Patricia's stories are always fresh and have me on the edge of my seat while reading or listening.

Zephyr and Ronan are both looking for a second chance at life when their paths intersect. She's on the run trying to clear her name and he's been tasked to find her and bring her in to Second Sight.

Will Watts and Sophia Lette narrate this book and Will does some fantastic accents!! That Irish accent was.... so fine!!

As far as this book goes, it's probably one of the more tame in the series and least triggery (is that a word? probably not!)
Now, that doesn't mean it wasn't great, because it was, there was just less trigger topics for the average reader. There was still plenty of suspense, torture and heat!

If you're a fan of military romance with a big dose of suspense/thriller aspect, this book is for you!!

I found this story to be so gripping that I just couldn't put it down! I can't even say how much I adored Ronan and Zephyr together. An unlikely pair for sure, but they are such a perfect match. Her strength and vulnerability balance out well, and Ronan really understands what she needs. There was a lot of intrigue and turns that kept me guessing. I was so engrossed in the plot that I hadn't realized how much time had gone by while I was reading. The romance was absolute perfection, and I can't wait for the next one in this series!

Overall Grade: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Patricia D. Eddy’s brand of romance marries the idea of formed families with fractured heroes and heroines. In doing so, it creates stories that feel grave and important. Add to that insta-love romances, and the depth of romance provides a backdrop for her compelling romantic suspense. To read a Patricia D. Eddy romance is to delve deeper into love, into life. It isn’t a light-hearted foray into love; it feels calculatingly necessary for romancelandia.

Eddy’s newest story, Protecting His Target, returns her readers to her popular Away from Keyboard series. We are once again back with the Second Sight folks, specifically Ronan, the loner muscle who found himself shot in Eddy’s Rogue Protector. Ronan struggles to find his place in the Second Sight family and oftentimes waits for Dax, his boss, to relieve him of his duties out of some misguided sense of self wrought by his family of birth. He distances himself from this work family, thinking he’s misunderstood. The heroine of Protecting His Target is Zephyr. Zephyr has been on the run for four years, charged with the assassination of an important governmental employee. At the outset of this book, Zephyr is almost captured by the cartel that used to “own” her. Continually on the run, Zephyr struggles to trust anyone out of self-protection. Ronan crosses paths with Zephyr when he’s tasked with finding her and bringing her to the authorities. When he reads her file, he notices some inconsistencies, and he begins his search with doubts about her guilt. Once he meets Zephyr, he decides she couldn’t be guilty and goes to great lengths to protect her and clear her name. Unfortunately, he tries to do this without his Second Sight team, and he puts Zephyr and himself in danger. Will they lose their lives before they express their love for each other?

I love Eddy’s ability to craft militaristic, romantic suspense. She has this knack for pulling you into that aspect of her stories. Sitting on the edge of your seat, you hope for the best for Eddy’s heroes and heroines, but she doesn’t make it easy on her readers. Instead, as she does with Protecting His Target, she makes it nervewracking.

A Thrilling Emotional Rollercoaster Ride! Excellent Story & Narration🎧📚🎧
Protecting His Target
Away From Keyboard, Book 9
By: Patricia D. Eddy
Narrated by: Sofia Lette, Will Watt

Patricia D. Eddy delivers another amazing romantic suspense set in her “Away From Keyboard” world. It is great to be back in that world for this ninth book of the series, each book stands on its own, but they are all amazing and I recommend enjoying the books in order because characters reappear in each other’s books. If you are new to the series, you will not feel lost or like something is missing, the author provides everything you need to know in descriptive detail. This book is Ronan’s story, former Irish Defense forces and new to Second Site team and he feels like he found where he is supposed to be, his only hope is that his team members accept him. Dax assigns him to his first solo job, he is to track down Zephyr, a trained assassin who is reported to be in Boston. Zephyr made the mistake of getting involved with the wrong people, the Strauss Cartel, she escaped their hold but has been on the run since. The Cartel plays dirty and planted evidence to set her up and now she is a wanted woman in more ways than one. She is looking for the one person who can help clear her name, but every step she makes the Cartel is not far behind. But she is a survivor who is street smart and a chameleon that can adapt to her surroundings. But Ronan has his own skills, and he catches up to her, a first solo assignment well done right? Nope, turns out not is all as it is said to be, including the intel Second Site received. Zephyr has hit rock bottom, can she trust Ronan or will he throw her to the wolves, like her own blood did? This fast-paced, action-packed story is cleverly plotted with plenty of drama, angst, twists and turns, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions and a romance that was meant to be. Patricia D. Eddy, thank you for another amazing story and a thrilling and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Sofia Lette and Will Watt are the perfect cast to bring these characters and their story to life. They had a complete understanding of the characters they portrayed, gave each a voice that fit the character’s persona to a tee, sounding believable and just as I pictured the characters to sound. Will Watt played Ronan’s role perfectly, accent and all, Sofia Lette did the same for Zephyr, both were great performing all the secondary roles too. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and projected them into their performance. These talented voice artists are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this terrific listen

Protecting His Target
Away From Keyboard #9
by Patricia D. Eddy
Narrated by Will Watt & Sofia Lette

So, who needs sleep? I obviously don't because when I started this audio, I just could not stop. I love this series, it is one of my favorites, and am so excited that I had the opportunity to listen to this, even if it was the middle of the night! Second Sight has given Ronan his first solo mission. Find Zephyr. Can't be that difficult, right? But something about her case just does not feel right. Being accused of a murder she did not commit and leaving the cartel has had Zephyr on the run. Now caught and being protected by Ronan, she finds for the first time in years she can begin to breathe. But she knows it's all a dream. Until Ronan shows her what the true meaning of love and family really is. The suspense is high, with chase scenes and things that made me cringe. Zephyr is an amazing character, strong, smart and resilient, she is not a woman you want to mess with. Ronan is the ultimate protector, the kind that is easy to fall for knowing he will always be there for you. Brave, cunning and loving, he couldn't be a better hero. Amazing thrills and a great love story, Patricia D Eddy again had my attention. Taking us back to our favorites, Dax, Trevor, Riker, Wren with others from Second Sight and Hidden Agenda give me that protected family feeling. It's like coming home!

And the narration! Oh my! Will Watt brings an Irish brogue that is to die for. He has way of bringing a story alive, becoming his characters and making the incredibly real. I love how he can go from Irish to American and never give a hint of his own English accent. Phenomenal. Sofia Lette is new to me, and I absolutely loved her. She has a warmth in her voice that engages the listener, and at the same time she gave Zephyr an edgy feel. I will definitely be watching for more from her. This was a perfectly cast audio and I loved it.

Ronan is part of second sight but doesn’t feel like he really belongs, yet everyone treats him as family but he feels lacking and brushes off almost every gathering with everyone. Zephyr has lost her family, not once but twice and even now after four years on the run, her own brother is hunting her. When Ronan gets his first solo assignment after his promotion to bring in Zephyr for a murder, he doesn’t expect her to bring down all his defences and defying every order Dax lays out and stalls bringing her in. He believes in her innocence and that she was set up, he just said needs the proof and get Zephyr to trust him.
Oh man this story pulled at all the heartstrings, both Ronan and Zephyr with their pasts, for Zephyr the heartbreak and losing hope after many years, the torture and betrayal from her brother and her strong will and surviving night after night, never giving up…wow. Ronan and his vulnerability of feeling lacking and putting it all on the line for Zephyr. The story flowed beautifully w/o skipping a beat and page after page falling deeper into these two.
An amazing read with steam, suspense, danger, betrayal, love, hope, family and amazing characters….another hit in the Away From the Keyboard series.

Each Away From Keyboard book draws you further into the characters and the series, and this may be one of the best, for a variety of reasons. A big one of those reasons is that we see so much of Dax, Ryker, and Wren as well. The main characters in this book, though, are the biggest reason. Both feel alone, neither feels they have a family any more – and Second Sight is as determined to make Ronan realize they are his family. At the start of this book, Zephyr has been betrayed by just about everyone – even though she doesn’t realize quite how many yet. That she is able to trust Ronan and, eventually, feel part of Second Sight is a testament to Patricia Eddy’s writing and our investment in the characters. There is a great deal of heat – with pure terror at times as well as suspense. I wanted to carry on reading when this ended, just so that I had more Second Sight! This book is much richer if you’re familiar with the characters from past books, but, if this is your first visit to Second Sight, you are in for a wonderful surprise and a plethora of books to read to meet them properly.

Literary Gold!

When you’re framed by the people you trust most, who is left for you to trust? One wouldn’t think it is the guy who tries to shoot then kidnap you. Though, when he’s doing those things because he is a genuine good guy sometimes a girl needs to take a leap of faith. However, does trusting him with your life mean you can trust him with your heart?

This book was the whole gambit of emotions. It made me laugh, it made me cry, it kept me on the edge of my seat and I literally stayed up all night reading it. It wouldn’t let me go until the last word was read. And the journey was worth every bit of the binge reading bender hangover I have today. I can see myself turning around and re-reading it immediately and being happy. It doesn’t surprise me that I was so caught up. I swear that Ms. Eddy writes a better book than the last with every book she writes. I seriously spend all my time waiting for the next journey! Happy Reading my friends!

*****This review is for the audiobook*****
This series is so good! Such beautifully broken characters who have experienced loss and trauma and spent their lives and their considerable skills to protect others in various branches of the military, and now working for Second Sight. Ronan and Zephyr start out on opposite sides, but they just fit together perfectly once they each let their guard down. She is feisty, smart, and on the run, determined to survive and prove her innocence after being betrayed. He is a fierce protector who recognizes her truth right away and risks everything. This is a fast-paced thriller with some twists I definitely did not expect. The story and evolution of their relationship flow naturally even under the extremely high-stress circumstances. Protecting His Target is a great addition to this favorite series!

Patricia Eddy always thoughtfully casts her audiobooks. Will Watt and Sofia Lette are both fantastic narrators who hit the mark in this excellent audiobook with all of the complex emotions, situations, characters, accents! Will is an aural chameleon! I definitely recommend this series and this book!

Away from the keyboard must be one of the best series ever written the only problem I have with it is that every time I read another addition to it becomes my new favourite and this is no exception. Zephyr and Ronan definitely live up to the beautifully broken theme that is central them of this series

We have met Ronan before in earlier books in this series but now we get his story and find out why he doesn't believe that he fits anywhere or is good enough. Zephyr has her own problems she is an assassin that has attracted the eye of Dax as a personal favour to a friend and Ronan is the one tasked with her elimination The only thing is that aren't adding up for Ronan When Wren and Ryker become involved and the truth comes out then the entire Keyboard family will jump in to save Zephyr because now that she is Ronan's she is one of the family

Another emotional and action filled romance story by the amazing author!

This is book #9 from the AFK series and a standalone. I do recommend you read the other books in the series because all of those other stories not only show the brilliance of the author's writing, it gives history and more emotional attachment to all the characters.

Zephyr and Ronan's story, I at first thought would be like a Stockholm syndrome storyline but it was more than that. It told the story of two different people and their own definitions of what family is. Their experiences might not have been the best from the past but it brought them together, their bond to each other and to the family that matters.

Made me wish I had this kind of family too.

Lots of tears, love and action is in this book so grab it now!

Another amazing story from Patricia D Eddy that I could not put down. I have loved every story from the AFK series and this one is no different. Ronan had been a favorite of mine and I'm so glad he got his own story.

"Protecting His Target" is action packed from the very beginning and I could not put this story down. Zephryr was such a strong woman and a complete baddie. Patricia never skimps on writing strong women with equally strong men. I was crying at the end of the book because I love the family message that is in every book she writes. Yes, you can do it alone. But you have a family that you built and that has your six, always. We get lots of my first AFK love, Dax, which made me very happy. And a wonderful update from Ry and Wren. I cannot wait to listen to the audiobook of this when it comes out.

This is the ninth book in the Away From Keyboard Series, a Romantic Suspense/Military Romance. This series is interconnected with the amazing Gone Rogue series. Ronan and Zephyr's story is breathtakingly well written, and captivating! Ronan is a handsome character, protective, caring, and supportive. Zephyr is a wonderful character, strong, smart, and determined. They are perfect together. The supporting characters are amazing. I loved to see again the characters from the first books in the series, and from the Gone Rogue series. The world building is enthralling, suspenseful, and action packed. The plot is well crafted, filled with mystery, and twists and turns. Some scenes are very intense. Will Watt and Sofia Lette did an outstanding job with the narration. They are perfect as Ronan and Zephyr. I love their voices together. I HIGHLY recommend this series!

Hoopla listen narrated by Will Watt and Sofia Lette (first time listener for her).

Kinda excited about this cause I haven’t listened to this series, I listened to the Gone Rogue series that lead me to this one. Let’s go!

Will Watt is fun and it’s entertaining when he uses an American accent! It’s so interesting because he is such a professional. I liked Ronan, I just needed him to be a little more ruthless. Seriously, why do these guys not realize NEVER let your girl out of your sight!?!

Zephyr is a badass. Pure and simple, she is hardcore! It was actually pretty difficult to listen to her torture. Seriously, 4 years of running but thinks she is safe with the old guy? She believes she should be loyal to her brother…dumb. Sofia did such a great job!

The only thing I had an issue with was the lack of chemistry. But they were both really good!

It's funny when you kinda know what to expect and the author you know so well manages to surprise you! I'd classify this book as unique in the Away From Keyboard series (which I totally recommend you read first as it only adds to the experience). Although the narrative is familiar, Patricia manages to write this story in a different way, but nonetheless super thrilling, fast paced, emotional and gut wrenching. I absolutely adore Zephyr, her strength and what she surely will become. I don't want to give away any of the story but LOVE the recurrent appearances of my favourite characters throughout the book. Also the mention of my birthplace, São Paulo, although connected to a negative circumstance, put a smile on my face. Can't wait for the next books in the series!

One thing Patricia Eddy is brilliant at, is creating characters her readers become attached to. Ronan and Zephyr are my favorite couple next Ryker and Wren. Ronan..gosh. He is strong and capable. The world sees him that way. But inside, the man struggles with insecurity and self doubt. In other words he as real as you can get with a fictional character. Zephyr is the same. Vulnerable and lost, but so so badass. Eddy's characters are not all spit and polish. They do not fit a type. They are broken. But together are whole.
I loved these two together. They help each other smooth over those rough edges and accept each other's shortcomings and individual strengths.
The whole series is crazy good but this one was a standout for me.

As always, this author has delivered a book that will hook you and leave you bereft when you read the last word.

Ronan and Zephyr's story is the latest in an already-impressive series. And a worthy addition in every respect.

The characters are like new friends, joining the ranks of the old who rally 'round when needed and do WHATEVER is necessary to get them their "forever".

The action is thrilling without eclipsing the emotion filling the page right along side it. And you long to jump into the fray and help theae two people find theur family. And each other.

If you like excitement, sentiment, and HEAs, then this--and ALL the AFK books!--are a MUST READ.

I was so excited to see another addition to "away from the keyboard series " I simply live pstricias writing and this series, In my opinion is her best.
the gut wrenching emotions that keeps you on edge when the hero or heroine go through the captive scenes just makes me hold my breath and scream for the team to hurry up. and then wonderful relief when it all pans out.
I enjoyed Ronins story even though it was shorter than most of the others but this book being devised on home soil, I find with most stories, the author's tend to have a shorter plotline.
will did an awesome Irish accent and Sophie kept the heroine solid. love hearing old faves come to the fore and it makes me want to reread.

Always go with your gut and Ronan does just that when he goes after Zephyr as something doesn't add up, he knows he is going against what he was told to do but when your gut screams as you, you listen. This book starts with an adrenalin rush and keeps a quick pace as you try to work out what's really going on and whether or not not only Zephyr but also Ronan will make it out alive and whether they will act o their attraction that is simmering between them. You have to trust your team and family, but it's hard for both of them especially Zephyr however they both need help to save her while the bad guy seems to know where she is at every turn. I always loved Wren, but I think Zephyr is vying for top spot now with her mad skills.

Another amazing read with nonstop action that grips you from the very beginning . Zephyr is on the run and Ronan is the one charged into finding her and bringing her in. What Ronan wasn’t expecting was to believe she is exactly what she says she is and that’s innocent. Now Ronan wants to protect his target. Will he be able to help her or will those hunting her find them? Will Dax help or stop them when he realizes Ronan has gone rogue? This action packed book has it all emotions, steam, action, and it will keep the readers hanging to the edge of their seat trying to figure out what will happen next.
