My football career on the line, a woman who can’t stand looking at my face, and a secret contract. Will my fake fiancée help me get my job back?
Football is my life blood. It’s the only thing I’ve ever been passionate about. Maybe it’s the only thing that I’ve ever loved.
When I find out that I won’t be re-signed after this season, due to the ‘bad PR’ I bring, I’m gutted.
I need to come up with a plan.
Her name is Lia Cohen, and we can’t stand one another. I’ve never been anywhere near pleasant toward her.
But I need her help. I need Lia to pretend to be my fiancée, to save my job and my reputation. She reluctantly agrees and we proceed with our façade. We even take it as far as marriage.
We hit one big hitch in our plans though. I start to develop feelings for my now fake bride.
This is a full length romance novel with a Happily Ever After. No cliffhanger here! You can read any book in this series in any order you choose. Enjoy!

Thoughts :
- I hated Jesse as soon as the book started. I hated his behavior. His fakeness was better than his real persona. He seemed to have a serious drinking problem. I hated that he still checked out OW after he slept with Lia. He never asked for Lia's opinion or consent on anything. Hated Jesse for thinking Lia was boring plain and not special. Then all of a sudden he changed. His changes were so abrupt that it was hard for me to believe that he actually loved Lia. Fu*k him!
- Lia was a spineless woman who quitted her job to be in a fake relationship with Jesse. WTH? She's just pathetic. Hated how easy she was. Her love for Jesse wasn't believable either. Ugh.
This book was a serious miss for me. I did not enjoy it. The synopsis seemed interesting. However, what I got was total BS though. And yes, I'm angry and disappointed.
Jesse needs to settle down in order to keep his job but marriage is the last thing he wants. Lia is a hard working woman, struggling just so she can help her parents. The two hate each other but find they need one another. Their story is worth reading.

What happens when a football star is given an ultimatum? That is the position Jesse the popular football player who makes very poor choice when it comes to women. When Jesse given the ultimatum to change his ways or the team will not renew his contract.
Lia a makeup artist instantly dislikes Jesse from the moment they met. To say she is not a fan of Jesse is an understatement. In fact she doesn't like him. He's rude, stuck up and sometimes down outright mean and he acts like Lia is beneath him in social status. Lia however does not out up with it and tells him where he can stick it.
When Jesse is given this ultimatum he has to think fast. Then his friend suggested a fake relationship the person Jesse turns to is Lia. The one he has always been rude to. This is something Lia has no interest in as she cannot stand the man. Then he offered her a contract with a large money should could really use. The catch is she has to sign a 10 month contract and move in with him and convince everyone it's the real deal.
Will Jesse and Lia pull it off? can they out their dislikes aside and play the role? in the end the end can they actually like each other? You will need to read the story.

This is the first book in this new series by Sloane and it’s Jesse & Lia’s journey to happiness. Jesse is the cocky playboy football player who finds his career on the ropes because of his behavior. When the owner tells him he won’t renew his contract next year because of his ways Jesse decides that he needs to do something and fast. He met Lia during an interview at her work and didn’t leave a good impression. He was rude and a jerk and she had no use for him. When he decides to get a fake girlfriend to change his image he approaches Lia and offers her a deal. The deal was too good to turn down because money usually talks. Lia and Jesse enter into their agreement but what will happen when they begin to actually relate to one another and let their guard down? Will Jesse make the right decision and decide to commit for good? Sloane had written another great book that will hold your attention from start to finish. Nice storyline and good characters.

The old saying "don't judge a book by it's cover" could be the theme for this "fake relationship" story. According to Jesse, a football star for the Stallions she is as far from is "usual type" than a woman could be which is why she seems perfect for his plan to show his team couch that his womanizing ways have come to an end. Lia has met Jesse before and the best should could say is that she absolutely hates him and thought the feeling was mutual which is why his proposal to be his fake fiancé seems to shocking. As relationships go, their fake one seems absolutely foolproof and perfect so when things start feeling real, panic ensues. A different take on the "fake relationship" genre and one that was a pleasure to read.
I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest and totally voluntary review.
Real Fake Husband, the first book in Sloane Peterson’s Happy Ever After Bad Boy series starts with Jesse, a professional football player with the LA Stallions. Jesse, who has a reputation for being a notorious player, is in danger of not being reassigned to the team unless he cleans his image.
Thinking that having a fake fiancée will help his reputation and back into the good graces of his club, he sets his sights on Lia, a makeup artist who, unfortunately, hates his guts.
Real Fake Husband was an entertaining read, and I definitely can’t wait for the next book in the series! If this is your first time to read Slone Peterson’s work, I would encourage you to go ahead and click, you won’t regret it!

Really good story about a talented but spoiled sports star who has it all until his future contract is not going to be offered. Worse it’s because of his personal life, not that he’s not playing as well. Whilst he doesn’t accept that he needs to change his ways he’s soon calculating a way to keep it all. That’s all that matters. Along the way he finds out that actually finding a person who is the exact opposite to the girls he usually goes for is perhaps more entertaining and rewarding. Only when he realises he has let everyone down does he realise what he’s not been seeing. Yes! he grows up and realises just how much he has to lose and that love is perhaps not such a hardship after all.

Lia and Jesse's story wasn't my favorite in the beginning. There was a lot of manipulations from him to get what he wanted from her. I didn't like how he seemed to bully her to get what he wanted and continued to act like a jerk toward her. But then she kinda found her voice and let him know what was what and I think he finally saw her. Truer sayings have never been accurate for him when she left...he didn't miss his water until his well ran dry!! Not that I agree 100% with how she did it, but they turned living a lie into living their truth out loud! He showed up and supported her when she needed him most and that's what loving someone is all about.

I liked Jesse and Lia's story. Jesse is your typical butthole in every sense of the word at the beginning. There were a few times I really wanted to punch him in the throat. But he does begin to redeem himself by the middle of the story. Lia was never afraid to put him in his place, especially considering he needs her. She has her own reasons for agreeing to be his fake fiancé, but she never compromises who she is as a woman. Their chemistry is nice, and the plot flows well. Good read.

Oooooh, I loved this book! I read it in a few hours as I couldn't put it down, I actually didn't want to. Jesse is a professional football player and boy is he a piece of work. He is very arrogant, very selfish and an a$$. He's told by his coach that they're not going to renew his contract bc of his personal life. He's beyond shocked. Lia is a makeup artist and hates Jesse with her whole being lol Jesse comes up with a plan to for Lia to be his fake fiance... What could possibly go wrong??? I soooo loved this story! Definitely recommend
Loved the book it was great, the story was written well and the characters were interesting. Jesse is a football star for LA Stallion, and Lia Cohen a make up artist for a TV station, and they can’t stand one another. I’ve never been anywhere near pleasant toward her. Now he needs a fake wife to clean up the bad boy.

Probably one of the best enemies to lovers free kindle books I've read in a while. The main characters aren't instalove/attracted to each other (tho recognize that they are objectively attractive), they strongly dislike each other for valid reasons, and the male lead is really unlikeable in the beginning. The still manage to hate each other even during the smut scenes before eventually getting their HEA and I think the book worked well.
An entertaining fake enemies-to-lovers page-turner in the Happy Ever After Bad Boy series! It is engaging, relatable, funny, witty, and well written with drama, ups and downs, and more. The characters are likeable and well written with amazing chemistry between them. Definitely recommended!

Not the first time I've read a book by this author, but it has been a bit. I enjoyed this story. I'm not a fan of lying and deceiving others. However, I did like how they committed to their part and learned what some people don't ever experience. Yes, I know it is fiction, but I was in to the story and could see it play out.
I loved the idea of the storyline. I feel like it either should have been closer to an insta-love situation, or a longer book so the angst could play out. It felt like a lot of scenes were forced. The characters were great, very engaging. I just wish the story had room to play out.
Couldn’t stand Jesse and didn’t find anything redeeming about him till the last page. Lia well was portrayed fairly blandly but was the more likeable of the two. She hates the guy but sleeps with him on the first trial kiss. Was just okay but had no real feelings attached to the couple.
The story was good. The story was easy to follow, the characters are good and fit well together. Sometimes you want to yell at the main character as he can be full of himself and he needs help with his image.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. There characters were relatable and the story line seemed real. Very easy to get caught up in this romantic pager turner!

A good fake turn real marriage story that has opposites coming together after realizing what they both needed was each other and to let the feelings happen. I volunteered to read this arc for my honest opinion
There are a few out there like this one, but I really liked this. A different approach that caught me off guard several times. The characters were believable and the story was amazing
It was good, no defined time line, the relationship of the characters is not well developed, they pretty much interact a couple of times(that how I interpreted the narrative) even though they have been in this quasi relationship that they developed.
Such a wonderful way to fall in love. Oh you want me to tell you how amazing it is, I will not say anything more. Just know that once you read this book you will understand everything!!!!
Whoa!! I did not like Jesse at first! If I were Lia, I’d have killed him! I really enough their banter and bickering back and forth! Loved the ending! I did not want it to end!
Read how the angry turns to love😍 A misunderstood football player and the studio makeup artist make believe.. They always say love and hate are two sides of the same coin. So true.
Lia is a bit wishy washy, a flake, going back and forth. Jesse is a jerk. Overall the storyline is good. In the end, they wrap up their HEA in a cute and more adult way. The book is easy to read.

It was an ok book. At first it was hard to read and get into but I gave it a chance. I didn’t really like the main male character because how he acted almost the whole time in the book.
