I enjoyed this book. Blake and Indie had a good story that started in Always Fraser. This book was different because it really mirrored Always Fraser just from Blake and Indie's POV.

Indie and Blake both had rough backgrounds growing up. Having read the first book I struggled a little in this one because some of the chapters broke off abruptly but started where I felt like we were missing things at the start of the next chapter. I had a hard time buying into Blake's background. It didn't really fit with the storyline.

Overall, I thought these two make a great couple and were perfect for each other. I loved that there were a couple of things that took me by complete surprise and I wasn't expecting.

Can't wait to read Theo's story.

Eventually Blake was so much more than I expected!
I had been introduced to Blake and Indie in Always Fraser and suspected something had happened between them so was excited to read their story.
It did not disappoint!! I absolutely loved the characters and the bonds they all had. Indie and Blake were the ultimate couple goals. Their relationship may not have been conventional but I just loved them together and their chemistry was seriously intense.

The story, for the most part, follows a similar timeline to Always Fraser and at times I felt I knew what was coming but then we hit half way and OMG the story exploded. So much action, so many twists and turns I didn’t see coming, so much drama and so much angst. I was glued to the pages and loving every minute!
There was one twist that broke me and completely surprised me but I don’t want to say anymore on that or give away any spoilers.

Well played AK. Steel! The story, the characters and the writing were awesome. I can’t wait for Theo’s book now.

Ahh I’m so excited to read Blake and Indies story. We meet them in Always Fraser and they are so awesome. You get the feeling there is something going on with them but you don’t know for sure. Now we learn it all.
Blake has been avoiding his family obligations. He doesn’t want to get into the family business and wants to stay in Byron and work with Fraser and Ash. He knows time is running out but he wants Indie. When they meet Indie isn’t looking for a relationship. Her longtime boyfriend left her and she wants to let off steam. They both try to fight their attraction at different times but we all know that never works out.
I love that it starts at pretty much the same timeline as Always Fraser. Sure some of the story is kind of the same but we get the different perspectives. It’s different and it really works. You see why certain things happened and really fall in love with all four characters even more.
Even after two books it leaves you wanting more.

In book one we see glimpses of Blake and Indie, but I was excited to see that we would be getting more of their story. Blake went into business with his friend Fraser, and they are successful but the more we get to know Blake we see that his family is completely different than he is or wants to be. Blake’s family is kind of like the mafia and expect him to eventually come home to take his place in the family, but Blake doesn’t want that life. Blake is a hard worker, loyal to his friends, kind, can be an alpha when it comes to what he wants, he is an all-around wonderful person. What starts as a mild attraction and fling it slowly starts to become more for both Indie and Blake. Their feelings become involved, and they find themselves wanting more from each other. Blake knows he has to protect Indie from the future he is supposed to have but he can’t seem to bring himself to let her go. Can they make things work even when a future is already laid out? Will Blake let Indie go in hopes of keeping her safe? These things are what is constantly on their minds but when threats become real, and lives are in danger how will things play out? There were a lot of twists, turns, action filled drama that I never saw coming and was quite shocked by them. This book was such a fun ride that would melt your heart one second then have your head spinning with questions like what is happening, but in a good way. I loved this read, the characters, and the twists. I can’t wait to see what will happen next!!

3.8 ⭐️

This is AK Steel’s second novel in the Broken Point series. Two thirds of the book occurs at the same time as Always Fraser but there isn’t much overlap. These two had very different lives to Elly and Fraser.

There are many parts in this book that I could read effortlessly but there were also many parts I struggled with. I found both Blake and Indie to be almost immature at times and Blake was a little Tactless in his conversation skills but when it flowed, it flowed easily and read well.

There were a couple of inconsistencies but that can be attributed to early learning and areas for this writer to be aware of in the future.

I look forward to what you come up with next Alicia.

Blake and Indie - friends with benefits to lovers, Australian mafia family

In this life, Blake co owns a development company with his best friends. In his old life, he was suppose to take over the family business for his father. He meets Indie one night and she captivated him but knowing he has yo leave back to Sydney when the time comes, he doesn’t want a serious relationship.

Indie just got her heart broken by her high school sweetheart of 9 years, when he said he wanted yo travel the world before settling down. That night she meets Blake, only to tell him her name is Violet. A year later she is working at a coffee shop and runs into him again, only to be called by her real name by Elly her old best friend.

The writing style is not my cup of tea: it feels like reading cheap smutty book. The descriptions (especially of sex scenes) felt underwhelming(the beginning and middle were fine but it was like the author got bored with the endings of those scenes).
The hero is too soft and blah for my liking. The whole ex gf drama just shows how pathetic he is.
And for f* sake. "The feminist in me .."?! Authors should stop putting this line in their books, especially prescribing it to doormaty heroines. It is just cringey.
What else is cringey? Words like "sweetie", "honey" etc being overused.
All in all, the book is about two petulant pushovers. The plot is not great, writing is not great. Reading this book was not a pleasant experience. It was boring. And a waste of my time.

This is the second book in this series and is Blake and Indie’s story. Blake runs a successful business with his friend Fraser, and he and Indie shared a hot on1-nightstand, with Indie giving a false name. When fate destines these two to cross paths again 6-months later, Blake now knows who she is, and the chemistry between them is intense. Blake has some family expectations to live up to, but will they have a chance at bring together? This is a well written story, which is filled with angst, secrets, emotions, family, loyalty, twists, action, drama, danger, suspense, and love. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I recommend.

Second books by A.K. Steel and it's quite a success. Eventually Blake was and absolutely beautiful romance novel, with so much emotion, passion and hot scenes.

I couldn't wait to read the story between Indie and Blake. I loved them so much in the first book (Always Fraser).

The relationship between indie and Blake was simply magical and outstanding. I really wished they had their HEA.

Love the drama add in this story it brings a good suspense.

What an awesome follow on from AK Steel's debut novel. This is Indie and Blakes story and follows the same timeline as Elly and Frasers story from book 1. There's some sizzling chemistry and attraction that starts as a secret fling. As we get to know Indie and Blake we get a few twists as secrets come up from their pasts. Blakes family ties try to grab a hold of him and endanger those closest to him. There's mystery and suspense that will keep you turning pages to find out what happens. Just when you think it's all over a final twist will shock you and will leave you anticipating Book 3.

Absolutely Amazing

I loved this book so much! Indi and Blake have off the charts chemistry, their story was exciting full of twists and turns.. there are some massive surprises thrown at you that I was not expecting at all! I absolutely love when an author is able to surprise me with a story and A.K Steel 100% did that with this book!
I loved the Australian language it is used perfectly and isn't overly use or over the top.

I think you could read this as a stand alone but it is so much better if you read Fraser and Elly's book first.

I can not wait for the next book!

Just like the previous book, it’s a 3.5 ⭐️

We get to meet Blake and Indie and hot damn, chemistry is smoking. I loved that the author decided to throw in the difference of the type of family Blake is in and that tidbit about Indie’s father, (did not expect that) although nice to know, however really felt like it came out of nowhere. But hey, it’s what she got from it that matters I think.

I think Ms. Steel is a comfort book type of an author. A pillow talk author (?) does that work? Anyway, she’s been a joy to read.

I only read the story because I had already made a commitment to read it. But after reading a couple other books by this author it's not my kind of book. It's still very well written it's just too soft for me.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Felt so bad for Blake for most of this book. The pull towards Indie and the push from his Dad to come home must have been hard to deal with but he did it. Loved this book immensely. Great YA read
