Unlucky people die around Jaz Archer. Like her sister, killed in a high-speed superbike crash two years ago.

That’s how the press told it. But Jaz knows the truth. Able to manipulate luck, Jaz took too much, and killed her sister to save herself.

Haunted by her sister’s screams, Jaz abandoned Davin Carino and his street-racing crew, and made a new life for herself managing a casino far away from the buzz of fast cars and Davin.

But you can’t outrun luck, and when a freak accident at the casino claims a customer’s life, Jaz is to blame once again. Reeling from guilt and more alone than ever, the timely arrival of a mysterious woman throws Jaz’s world into chaos. The woman tells Jaz magic is real, and it can bring back her sister. All Jaz has to do is win an ancient relic disguised as a superbike in a street-race.

Seems too good to be true, but if there’s a catch, Jaz doesn’t care. She’ll do anything to get her sister back. Including returning to Davin Carino and the crew she walked away from. If there’s a magical bike ripping up the street-racing scene, Davin will know.

It’s time to go back to the street, time to race. Time to win.

Whatever the cost…

The Fast & The Furious with magic, Snake Eyes is a heart-pounding, street racing urban fantasy. Previously published as Run of Luck, Snake Eyes has been substantially extended, improved and updated, including new characters, emerging battle couple, more heat, and an entirely new ending. So buckle up, hold on tight, and enjoy the ride into the magically enhanced LA street-racing scene.

Two-time DragonCon Finalist & Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award semi-finalist--- "Wait a second. Let's cut to the chase. I write kick-ass urban fantasy & sci-fi novels with conflicted characters, breathless action, and no-holds-barred dialogue. My books may not leave you feeling all fluffy and warm inside, but they will excite you. There will be plot-twists, angst, probably a few dead bodies, and very likely your favorite character will turn out to be the bad guy. Don't say I didn't warn you..."

I’ve been reading this author for some time, so I know that she really likes to bring a lot of heartache to the reader before the HEA…or should I say mostly HEA? LOL! While this rewrite of the short (that I never read) was a little melancholy, there wasn’t as much heartache as I’m used to. I’m not complaining mind you, but I wanted to make readers of this author aware. I felt so much for Jaz and her wounded heart over her sister, and I would love to get more about the side characters. We get a glimpse of illegal street racing, casinos, and agents of fate. This was a well-written, fascinating story that I’m hoping the author will continue with even more details about all of those things. Highly recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

Lady Luck may not be as lucky as she thinks. Especially if she doesn't know what's really going on. If you enjoy a good race, some shop talk and uber kraziness, then this story is for you. There are fights scenes, and this one time, adults acting on their passions. I've always loved Pippa's writing. I highly recommend this book and the author.

This was a well written book. Pippa is one of my favorite authors. There was intrigue and mystery and danger. I've never read "racing" books but this one delivered! The only thing I would have liked more of was hearing more of the "magical" element!

Interesting premise

Pippa Dacosta excels at urban fantasy. This novel was no exception. I hope this is the start of a new series so the characters are explored in more depth.

Snake Eyes

Great start, amazingly building to a hyper climax, then tuckered out. Please leave us with more of a cliffhanger. Please!
