From USA Today and Wall Street Journal Bestselling romance author, Willow Winters, comes a second chance with a filthy mouthed, possessive hero, not willing to lose the love of his life again.
I've got a thing for men who work with their hands. I thought I learned my lesson years ago. But here I am, back in the small town I grew up in, staring down the man who broke my heart years ago. I intended to tell him off. My plan was to flip him the bird and prove to both of us that he hadn't ruined me. I sure as hell wasn't going to sleep with him.
Until he tells me he's sorry. Until he gives me that smoldering look I still dream about. Until he whispers just beneath the shell of my ear... His breath trails down my neck and he leaves an opened mouth kiss right there, in that sensitive spot. "You have no idea how much I've missed you."
My treacherous heart wants more. More of him. More of us. But there's a reason it didn't work before and when you don't learn from your past mistakes, you're bound to repeat them.
Willow started writing after having her little girl, Evie, December 2015. All during her pregnancy with Evie she continued to read and she only wanted to read romance. She was reading a book a day — sometimes two.
In January 2016 Willow was staying up late with Evie and just thinking of all these stories. They came to her constantly so she finally sat down and just started writing. She always wanted to do it so she figured, why not? Today Willow cannot be happier for making that decision!
Short and sweet Stand-alone read Dual, first person
A LITTLE BIT DIRTY
You got to just love when you find yourself a sweet tale about second chance, then you realize it’s set in small town to boot, everyone knows everyone….. but trust me When people say everyone knows everyone in a small town, they aren’t exaggerating….. you might just think this fact can be either a blessing or a curse.
BRIANNA a small-town southern girl who went off to college in the big city somehow in between there she managed to keep long distance relationship with her high school sweetheart Asher, what seem like out of the blue he decides that the relationship no longer works
ASHER The girl he loved has become a woman who wants nothing to do with him. And he knows it’s his own damn fault.
Asher had family secrets and they needed to stay just that: secrets. Even though due to those secrets he lost his best friend and the love of his life two long years ago
God just might have pity on him, cuz she is back home to stay ….. let’s only hope Brianna does as well
I think Willow Winters is one of the most versatile authors on the romance scene right now, and I'm happy that she's finally getting the recognition she deserves. I've been anticipating this book since Willow announced it, and I can finally say that it did not disappoint!
A Little Bit Dirty is a sweet, small-town romance set in South Carolina (my home state!) between a sexy mechanic and the girl who got away. Asher and Bri's story packed a punch, brought the steam, and ended with a pretty little bow. I loved it! I had my kindle read this to me while I baked a cake, so it was nice getting to read a story as sweet as the cake I baked. Sometimes it's nice to refresh with a low-drama, fluffy romance. A Little Bit Dirty is a book that'll make you believe in love. Now I want to go peruse main street in my small town looking for a hot mechanic to sweep me off of my feet...
I do wish this book had a little bit more scenes of Asher as a mechanic (odd, lmao) I wanted to see him sweaty, shirtless, and covered in grease. Other than that... this book was amazing as all of Willow's books are! Highly recommend giving this one a go!
I don't know how to rate this novella honestly. IM GOING TO PUT SOME SAFETY INFO AND SPOILERS!!

THINGS THAT I LIKE: -He’s such a sweet cinnamon roll. Always repairing this for his neighbors and being the type of guy who try to fix everything. -It wasn’t boring. -He has only been with her. I MEAN 😍😍🥵🥵🫶🫶🫶🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌 -High school sweethearts. -He wanted the best for her. -He is building their dream house -2 years separation. -He toke care of his parents when everything went down with his dad alcoholism.
SOMETHING THAT I DIDNT LIKE: -She has been with others after the separation. I want to believe nothing major (no sex just a couple of dates in my mind even tho it seems like more). He’s the extract from the book: his pov.
“I just … I want to know …” The hesitation isn’t like her and I don’t know what she’s tiptoeing around. A crease settles in my forehead and it’s not until she starts her question that it hits me what she’s getting at, “Did you do that with other—” “No.” I’m quick to cut her off. “Stop those thoughts right now, Bri. It’s only ever been you.” She stills at my side before looking up at me, her gaze and expression serious. “You’ve only ever been with me?” I nod, letting her know it’s true. As if there was anyone else in this small town I’d ever want. Everything about this place is a reminder of her, including the people in it. Her expression turns remorseful. It’s in the way her lips part and the way her eyes shine. It’s not like I didn’t see she was with other guys. I have social media just like she does. I know she went out. I don’t give a shit. I don’t care what happened before. “You are my only, Bri. And I don’t care if or who or what happened while you were away.” I thought my statement would soothe whatever she’s feeling, but there’s some kind of residual guilt in her eyes as she fidgets with her necklace. Turning over to my side so I’m facing her, I lean down and kiss her forehead and then run the tip of my nose along hers. “Nothing matters except the two of us right now.”
-The break up scene was a little meh. Not strong enough. -I didn’t like that much the heroine. She wasn’t bad but I love him more. -The dad is an alcoholic. He was sick during the entire book but we didn't know until close to the end. The end is him going to rehab after the big blowup and knowing that he tried to sell the family house to his wife. -We don't know how the parents are going to end. -He was violent with H and his mom. -I WANTED AN EPILOGUE OF YEARS NOT WEEKS.
Brianna and Asher are childhood sweethearts from a small town torn apart by secrets. When Brianna returns home after the breakup, and her car breaks down, the only person to call is Asher. WW always does small town romances so incredibly well. This second chance romance was an super cute and quick read! I just love Willow and her writing - her ability to make you care about characters in such a short period of time is astounding. And let’s not forget her smile scenes….🥵🌶
(I literally hate the half-naked-man cover though pls-) just a small, simple cute stand alone romance what else can I say ?? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ found this on my suggested and somebody commented a link to read it for free, so here we are lol. nothing extraordinary, which is why I rated it a 3/5, but I still enjoyed it.
Fantastic quick read! If there’s one thing that Willow Winters knows how to do, it’s definitely second chance small town romance. I absolutely devoured this quick read in one sitting, and I was wishing that there was more the entire time.
Sweet girl moves back into town and runs into her sexy mechanic ex-boyfriend. These two hadn’t seen each other since a rough and complicated break up (can’t say much as to why, you’ll have to read to find out), and oh god, from the first meeting, I was hooked.
The characters were well developed, and I love that we got to see other people in the small town that basically suggested to us that there was gonna be more in the future for other couples in the same world (at least, that’s what I’m hoping).
There was just enough spicy scenes to consider this to be a little bit smutty 🌶 it was perfect for the short length of the book. I also enjoyed seeing that the conflict play out as it did. Both main characters were well developed even though the length of the book was short, and overall, I would totally recommend picking this up.
I think it’s a great place to start if you haven’t read anything by Willow before, and if you have, definitely pick it up because the writing was very good, the plot was interesting, and the scenes were adorable and hot all at once. ❤️
I only docked points because oh how I wish the book was longer! But other than that, fantastic job!!!
ARC was sent to me for review. All opinions are my own.
Willow Winters has to be one of the most versatile authors I have ever read. She can give her readers dark and down right dirty but she can also give them the exact opposite, light-heartened and sweet. Willow has a knack for sucking her readers in from the get go and make them care for her characters from page one.
A Little Bit Dirty is a super cute second chance, quick read about a small town mechanic and the one that got away. Brianna has just returned to her small home town in South Caroline, when her car breaks down and she's forced to call the only mechanic in town; her ex-boyfriend, Asher. Their first meeting after their break-up two years ago sets everything in motion; ex-lovers to friends (for a hot second) to lovers once again. Asher and Brianna's story sweet yet sexy, steamy and romance, with just the right amount of angst.
The only thing I wish with this story, was MORE!!! More of Asher in his car shop all hot and sweaty, covered in grease. Overall I loved this story and cannot wait for Willow's next book.
Brianna and Asher. Oh my goodness, these two. They will grab a spot in your heart from the beginning. Brianna and Asher broke up 2 years ago while she was away in school, yet she never really understand what happened between the two of them. Two years later she is back home in her small-town, and inevitably runs back into Asher. They both can’t deny they still have very strong feelings for one another. Asher makes it clear he wants her back, Brianna is scared to be more than friends because she can’t handle her heart broken again. Asher will do anything to get her back, and she can’t seem to resist him. Secrets that kept them apart in the past are finally in the open as they try to work things out. Brianna and Asher’s story will suck you in from the first page. I am such a sucker for a second change romance, and coming from this author, you know she will only deliver the best. I adored this story, perfect for a comfy weekend. The sweetness is there, the spice is there, and a fantastic plot is there. I highly recommend this read, it’s short and sweet and just what I needed ! 5⭐️
I am a big fan of WW, and once again she didn’t disappoint me with this latest book. I love a good second chance at love romance and right from the start I was rooting for Asher and Brianna to come back together as a couple. What I didn’t expect was how emotional this book made me. There wasn’t one bit in particular that I could say was the catalyst for what I was feeling, so I think it just stems from my wish that these two could make it work again. There were some secrets revealed that added even more to the story and by the end of the book I just wanted their story to keep going on and on. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.
Asher is the local mechanic and when he hears that Brianna is back in town with a broken down car, he’s understandably sad that she hasn’t contacted him for help, but he puts it down to their past being the reason😢
Brianna is back in her home town after finishing up at college and took a job at her parents’ real estate business and weekends working at the salon. Her plans to stay away from Asher don’t go as planned, especially when her car breaks down and he’s the only mechanic in close proximity😳
An enjoyable story with some unexpected twists😬 I’m hoping Renee’s story is next❣️I received an advanced copy and willingly leave my honest review❤️
(4.8 Stars) Asher always loved Brianna but he pushed her away long ago to keep her safe. Now, she is back in town and just maybe he can have a second chance with his best friend. When Bri’s car breaks down the only town mechanic might fix more than her car..that is if she lets him. This is set in the tequila rose world however, it can be read as a stand-alone. If you love a sweet, small town, second chance romance with a emotional twist you’ll truly enjoy Asher and Bri’s story. Told in dual POV
I felt a bit led on. If you sell me a dirty talking mechanic, I expect a dirty talking mechanic. Asher, though sexy and passionate, wasn’t even remotely that.
Don’t get me wrong, I loved him. He’s loyal and generous and a great character in general. His love for Brianna was beautiful. And yes, he works with his hands, but we don’t see a lot of that. What’s happening between him and his parents, on the other hand, was quite interesting. But it wasn’t all that developped, and mostly resolved off page.
Brianna was somewhat typical for the author–the emotional and kind of fragile woman with a lot of inner strength and resilience, even when she doesn’t think she can go on. She’s kind of lost, but in a way, she’s exactly where she should be so she can get another chance with Asher.
They’re defined as soulmates right from the beginning, and sleep together as soon as they meet again, so there wasn’t a lot of tension or conflict. This book was short, sweet and a bit sexy. Nothing exceptional, but still pleasant.
Quickie
- Series: standalone (but linked to a few other books by the author set in the same small town) - Hashtags: #small town romance #second chance #friends with benefits - Triggers: alcoholism, mention of domestic violence - Main couple: Brianna Holloway & Asher Hart - Hotness: 4/5 - Romance: 4/5 - + the whole plot about Asher’s family was interesting - – I felt there wasn’t a lot of story here
Asher and Bri had that young first love that everyone dreams of, until it wasn’t. They were everything to each other, so of course all Asher knew was that he had to protect Bri. That meant pushing her away and out of danger, but now she’s back and he’s not willing to let her go again.
I loved how he finally opened up to her about everything and just like that, it was like the load was lifted off of him. Just by him having someone to talk to about it.
I think my favorite part, was the house that Asher was building on the lake. He knew who he was building that house for - it was always their dream.
I received a eARC in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and options are my own.
Oh Willow! I don’t know how you do it every time. Seriously, this book was so easy to get into. I mean one minute, I was on Chapter 1 and then in the next minute I was on Chapter 12. If you’re looking for something cute, a little heartbreaking, easy to read, unputdownable and has just the right amount of spice, this is definitely a book for you! This second chance romance will make your heart swoon from beginning to end.
It is a sweet story of fulfilling love's promise against adversity. The scene is a prosper small town, where everybody not just knows everybody, but they stick together and help each other out, decent folks and tradition making which give you a contented feel.
Bri is sweet, but Asher is my favorite - a true man, wholesome and strong, taking responsibility, loving deeply and working hard. He is described as being handsome, but I perceive him as manly, so I think the cover does not do him justice.
I liked this book, Willow is a talented writer and I enjoyed the HEA.
This was a very enjoyable little read that offered some solid feels and lots of emotion. The tension, attraction and chemistry between Asher and Brianna is taut, powerful and incandescent. These two gave some really serious yanks on my heartstrings as their very touching second chance romance unfolded. My heart ached for this duo, and I found them super easy to like. They are so the kind of couple that just has you desperate for that HEA AND Asher was one wickedly hot hottie!! I am posting an unbiased, unsolicited review.
Kindle Unlimited: [ ]YES [X]NO Stand-alone: [X]YES [ ]NO Author: Willow Winters Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 Spiciness rating: 🌶🌶/5 POV: Dual, first person Main Couple: Brianna & Asher Favorite Character: Brianna Tropes: Contemporary small town romance; second chance
Review:
The only other time I had read a book by Willow, it was a really dark one (as dark as the bottom of the ocean). This one is the complete opposite, its a cute feel-good second chance romance. Both MCs are super nice and sweet and their love is beautiful. They could have had a conversation earlier in the book to solve things, but they didn’t. It was the only thing I wish were different, but, at the same time, it only built for the moment they finally confronted each other about their break-up.
If you like sweet small town romances, this book is for you.
I just love how in such a short book it had an amazing small town romance between two characters who used to date in high school and then they end up starting up a romance again. The build up to their second chance romance was such a fun ride and I also gotta say it's definitely one of my favorite romances that I've read so far this year and lastly, I love how Willow captures you from the first page to the very last. Highly recommend for the cuteness as well as the hotness of the whole story.
Brianna's back in her hometown after years, and just her luck but the only mechanic in town is her ex, Asher. She doesn't want to call him, the man who broke her heart without giving a reason, but considering he's only one who can help, she's stuck. But, she'll just have him help with her car and that will be it. No getting involved with him again, no giving him a chance to break her still bruised heart again. Right?
Asher has never gotten over his only love, and now that she's back, will she give him a second chance? He doesn't think so, she seems pretty disdainful of him, but he can't really blame her. But perhaps she's not as over him as she seems? Perhaps they really can have it all again. IF he can tell her the truth of it all, why he broke her heart before. Will she stick around if she hears the truth? Or turn away from him like he thinks she will?
This is a sweet, low on the angst second chance. The small town setting is spot on, and Brianna and Asher are sweet and very deserving of their second chance. There's a bit of heat, tons of heart, and the secondary cast is as likable and relatable as Brianna and Asher.

time to review a book that helped me overcome insomnia when i read it. 😂
𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙨… the characters weren’t all that developed, but i did feel a slight connection. fuck it, yes, i mainly read it for the smut. 😩 i am pretty new to romances like this and it was out of my comfort zone, but i liked it! i just wish the characters were much more developed. i don’t think i have a favourite protagonist in this book, but i do admit that Asher on audiobook sounded kinda hot. 👀
𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙨𝙩𝙮𝙡𝙚… it was simple, quite entertaining and i loved that it was such a short book. as i said above, because of this book i just learned that listening to audiobooks helped me fall asleep better, so expect me to review more romance books. 😂
𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙡𝙤𝙩… i loved the idea of high school sweethearts who ended up breaking up and meeting up years later, but i wanted it to be more dramatic idk, something engaging and filled with tea yk ??? but then the spicy scenes? damn. 😮💨 i’m not really a fan of second chance romances, but this one was great, i just think if i read this physically i’d of definitely disliked it. the audiobook helped SO much, it was really well done. please, if you can get your hands on the audiobook for this, do it !! i’m also not an instant-love trope girl so that was a bummer when they only had to glance at each other and it was over lol.
𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙡𝙡… if you need a quick read to add to your reading challenge—this book is perfect for that!
This is a book that I feel like I waited until forever for - but the wait was definitely well worth it!
I don't want to give too much away, so I will not tell you how the story ends.
I fell in love with Brianne and Asher's story immediately; what a rollercoaster of a journey they've been on! Their story felt real; they felt real. No fakeness, no pretence - just raw emotion and a beautiful story. The way Asher fought for Brianne - his persistence and determination really came through.
Brianne is sweet and beautiful - both inside and out. Down to earth and knowing exactly what she wants, yet so afraid of getting hurt again. I found myself cheering her on all the way through just hoping against all odds that her story ended with an happy ever after.
Asher is a man who is gorgeous, rugged, tough (with just about the right amount of sensitivity to match), with a smart mouth and dirty talk to boot. The love he feels for Brianne is so obvious and so strong, and this is what makes their situation so tense.
Even though this is a quick read, it certainly does not disappoint when it comes to delivering on all things dirty. It is breath-taking, heart-pounding, blush-inducing and downright flirtatious and sultry.
A heart-warming, heart-string-tugging, excitement building, steamy and sexy story! I absolutely loved it, and it is definitely one that I will be reading again!
Thank you Willow Winters for yet another fantastic piece of work!
Friends I'm about to make a bold statement, but Willow Winter's new release might just be my favourite one yet😭😭
Asher & Brianna's small town romance was absolutely everything😍 This is my official petition to @willowwintersshouldbewriting to write them another story 👀
I'm not just saying this to be dramatic, but I quite literally could not stop reading this book, and when I had to take a break, my mind kept drifting back to these characters!
If you're looking for a small town, second chance romance, that does not skip on the spice🌶️❤️🔥 this one is for you!!
And even if you don't think it is, do yourself a favour and pick it up anyway, friends I promise it's that good 😂
A Little Bit Dirty releases April 29th 🥰 A big thank you to the lovely Willow Winters & @sophaloph2.0 for the e-Arc💖
I have been waiting for Asher’s story since we met him in the Tequila Rose series. He’s such a good guy. Loyal to a fault & will desperately do anything for the ones he loves even if it breaks his own heart. But the girl he’s always loved is back in town and he isn’t letting her go.
Asher & his big heart are so freaking sexy. I love that he loves so hard and my heart breaks for what his family is going through.
It’s super sweet & ‘a little bit dirty’😘 that these first loves find their way back to each other💓
Fave quotes: Maybe I had it wrong. Maybe I had everything wrong. “It’s not even halfway done,” I find myself saying. “There’s a little bit left to do on the exterior, and the interior’s a mess. I may take parts of it out and start over. I don’t know if—” She cuts me off and tells me, “Asher, this place is amazing. It’s absolutely perfect.” All I can think, and thank fuck I don’t say it, is I built it for you.—-uh find you a man who will build your dream house even when you are broken up because he loves you that freaking much🥲😍
I love Willow Winters books and was so excited after Tequila Rose and Autumn Nights Whiskey that we were not done with little town. Asher and Brianna are best friends and high school sweethearts, who broke up while Brianna was away at college. When Bri moves home and the two are in the same town again, it is impossible for them to fight their attraction and love. As with many small towns there are secrets that always come out and Bri is learning what she missed being away, especially neither of them ever gave their heart to another. Asher and Brianna's story is super sweet and yes a little bit dirty. I do want to note that this book seemed more like a novella in that it is short and I felt was missing certain aspects of Willow's longer books, still a great read!!!
The history between Asher and Bri comes to life from the first page in this small town romance. Chemistry so hot you'll need to open your own window for a cool breeze. Torn apart from events beyond eithers control, you feel the heartbreaking ache these two go through as if your along with them. There is no denying WW is STEAM SCENE QUEEN and she does not let her readers down in A Little Bit Dirty nor does she when it comes to the matters of the heart wants what the heart wants. This read is packed with all you could ask for in a beautifully written Southern Style love.
Brianna and Asher were meant to be if they knew it or not it’s true! These two were madly in love….broke up and decided they would be friends…for about 30 seconds! This was a adorable second chance at love book with an emotional twist. Asher is a strong man that didn’t want to bring the love of his life down with him. So his master plan was to let her go. That obviously did not go as planned. I really enjoyed this quick read. The characters had great depth and were madly in love even when they were not together, which I loved! This book had all the feels of a small town read and I cant Wait to see what Willow comes up with next! I have really enjoyed her last few books! This one was definitely a great book!
