Women are turning up dead, clocks found mysteriously around their necks, ticking away the seconds before their death. Can FBI Special Agent (and psychic) Laura Frost stop this serial killer before time runs out on his next victim? >
FBI Special Agent and single mom Laura Frost, 35, is haunted by her talent: a psychic ability which she refuses to face and which she keeps secret from her colleagues. Yet as much as Laura wants to be normal, she cannot turn off the flood of images that plague her at every turn: vivid visions of future killers and their victims.
This time, Laura's visions aren't just confusing-they run directly counter to the evidence. Following them can get her fired.
But not trusting them can mean a life.
Will her gift lead her down the wrong path?
And will this killer's sick mind games finish her off for good?
A page-turning and harrowing mystery thriller featuring a brilliant and tortured female protagonist, the LAURA FROST series is rife with murder, mystery and suspense, twists and turns, shocking revelations, and driven by a breakneck pace.

Already Missing By Blake Pierce This was pretty good. I liked the mystery. Good use of the psychic visions. Disappointed in our main character's FBI partner. Doesn't seem like what he would do based on earlier books. Whatever. I enjoyed the story anyway.
4th book in the series and pretty much the same. Plot is so-so, I am actually more hooked in Nate's death omen than the main deaths in the book 😅.
I do like that we are following several stories within the series ~ Laura's gift and her struggle coming to terms about it, the story of Amy, Nate's forthcoming death (at least Laura now has an idea how it will happen), and Laura's child custody issues. Kinda helps get to know Laura more.
What I don't like tho, is how much of Laura's ''being a good detective'' is actually due to the fact that she is having visions. When in a bind, instead of harnessing good 'ol detective work, she finds something (anything, actually) that can trigger the visions to help her solve the crime, and the situations are really framed in a way that appears as if she had no other choice but to 'psych' it all out 😅
Killer motive (thus far): Revenge and survivor's guilt
I had never heard of this book, but when I saw it ready to borrow on Hoopla through my library, I just gave it a shot because I wanted a quick audiobook for the day.
This book was TWISTY! It kept me guessing and on the edge of my seat the entire time. Usually, I don't care much for detective POVs, but this one really did work for me. I thought the concept was so original! This would honestly make a great, suspenseful movie.
Well, this episode of the Laura Frost series was slightly better than the first three. Laura finally tells her partner Nate about her gift and his first reaction is to assume she is mentally ill and should get professional help. Surprisingly, this eases most of the tension between them that has been simmering since book 1. Nate later moves to the idea that Laura is doing this for attention but on more reflection decides that is not the Laura he knows. He own it and apologizes to her. A welcome change in their professional partner dynamic. So this installment in the series is a bit more real since Laura confides in Nate but their relationship is still not what I was hoping it would be. I'm not sure I like the very slow pace that author Pierce seems to be taking with the unfolding of Laura's life. Then there is the current killer that they are looking for. I am getting bored with the crime always being a serial killer and I wish that author Pierce would put a little variety into these crime stories. Not sure I will continue with the series. There are 9 books so far with numbers 6 through 9 to be published in 2022 or 2023. This book, 3.5 stars rounded down to 3.
Another good story in the series. Laura still has to learn how her visions work and how can she prompt them to happen and make her workflow easier. But things are not on the bright side for her, she has finally decided to tell her partner how she knows things or finds places, and the outcome is not positive. On the other hand, she has everything to be happy, she got custody of her daughter every weekend and that is something she can really look forward to. As a member of the author's ARC team, I downloaded a free copy of this book through Bookfunnel and this is my honest opinion.
I'd guess the characters will keep you here. I enjoyed the 4th book of this series. As I learn more about Laura and her relationship with Nate, her daughter, and other characters, I just need to know more. What happens to Lacey? Does Nate's death omen happen? Will Laura fight her demos? I find myself not caring about the actual FBI cases and just in it for Laura and her dramatics, and how she navigates life. The killer in this book was interesting, I did figure out the motive before it was revealed. I am enjoying this series. On to the next book!

Wonderful book! Laura finally comes clean with her partner about her special gift & he DOESN’T believe her! Then off they go to Georgia to investigate the clock murders. This is a book that will keep you up reading. Loved it & can’t wait for the next in the series! Thanks, Blake Pierce for the wonderful books you write!
Always interesting stories by this author. The main female character uses her psychic skills to help solve murders even if her male partner does not believe this is possible. An ARC member and very grateful.
I rated this series of books a five star. Exciting heart thumping will they save them in time. Her visions and her past as well. I loved this book I couldn't stop reading it. I will recommend it to my friends and family.
Laura Frost is still struggling to convince her partner she really is psychic but he’s starting to come around. She sees the victim but only gets partial location flashes. It’s heartwarming that she gets visitation with her beloved daughter.
Definitely a good paced one of the series where my line of thinking went hand and hand with Laura’s. Felt like I was apart of it this time. Interesting thoughts from a certain perspective peaked my interest as well ♥️
A serial killer that leaves clock around victims necks with how much time they have left. Throw in an FBI investigator that's psychic and you have a twisty listen.
Likes this one better than the last. Plot was tighter and there was movement in the overarching plotlines. I like the changes Laura's made throughout this book especially.
Blake Pierce is an awesome writer love these Laura Frost books once you start reading you have read the whole book in a day all Blake Pierce book are awesome
This suspense thriller by Blake Pierce was so awesome. This book 📚📖 let me into the life 🧬 of Laura Frost and Nate Lavoie. I am hoping beyond hope that this partnership will get worked out for the better. Then there's her daughter Lacey who I hope will give her incentive to stay sober. We know that Laura has a psychic ability which she is haunted by. This book was 📚📖 was definitely hard to put down. I loved that she is able to keep track of Amy Fallow and get custody of her daughter but you know nothing is ever simple or easy with Laura Frost and those she cares about. I loved that you had Laura tell Nathaniel her truth and what he does with It is up to you Blake Pierce. Can't wait to read the next book 📚📖. This was to me one of the best of the books 📚 so far. I Highly recommend this series and definitely this book 📖.
