Former Delta Operator Myles Simms doesn’t know when to quit. The concept so foreign to him he can’t give up on Delilah Watts. A woman he’s never met—a woman who might be the enemy yet he’s compelled to save her.

Intel Specialist Delilah Watts never imagined sending an email would be deadly. Kidnapped and left to die, yet she regrets nothing. She’d blow the whistle over and over again if it meant one life was saved—unfortunately, it just wouldn’t be hers.

A man on the search. A woman in need of a hero. A race against time.

This book is full of awesomeness from start to finish! I was completely pulled into the story from the first page where it was a given that Myles was on a mission to find Delilah, a woman whose picture he carried and was loosely connected to their last mission, and he was not going home without her. She called to him on a deeper level than he understood completely and combined with sadness and guilt from a past mission failure he was determined to find her. Whatever it took.

Delilah had a rough upbringing that left her lonely and withdrawn as an adult. She was raised to be invisible, to not stand out, have an opinion, or go after what she wanted. Her mother’s voice constantly hounded her in her mind from old memories and kept her paralyzed from helping herself. She’s never known love or affection of any kind so when Myles barges into her life, she’s overwhelmed and has no clue what to do. He’s her only protection from her boss who wants her dead but trust does not come easy and she’s a mental and emotional mess. Good thing Myles has great determination and strength for them both to protect her and pull her out of her shell.

I loved the developing relationship between Myles and Delilah. He was patient, attentive, direct, and caring and helped her to come to terms with her past. I really enjoyed the growth Delilah experienced throughout the story. They had a fantastic chemistry and made a great couple. Her interactions with the rest of the team, their women, and especially Zane were funny and sweet. There’s a great camaraderie among them all, even in the worst of times, that helps them stand strong.

This story is definitely a page-turner that will hold your interest. There’s plenty of suspense, action, mystery, danger, and sizzle. Though you could technically read this book as a standalone, I would recommend reading this series in order as the missions and other situations with the characters carry over.

Another page turner by this author and once again, doesn’t disappoint as we find out where Delilah is and Myles goes to get her. He’s been searching for her for two months, following the trail of her kidnapper but never actually getting there in time. Now w/o his team, he knows where she is and has to go in alone or risk losing her again. Delilah has had it, she’s alone, scared, hungry, dehydrated and locked inside a house, so when Myles shows up, she finally fights back…of course she is no match and realizes that Myles is there for her and not to harm her. Now they have to lay low in a foreign country, as the danger has not passed and Delilah is not safe….which leads to Myles doing everything in his power to keep the woman he has fallen in love with safe….and convince her she is worthy and can love right back.
SOOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOD!!! HOLY SMOKES!!!! I LOVED these two and the no drama between them, the honesty, the trust, and the steam…oh my oh my…LOVED every page of these two. Myles, the protector and a man who doesn’t hold back or shy away from his emotions or feelings. Delilah, a woman who thinks she is weak but is so strong and worthy and when she realizes it…WOW
An AMAZING read with steam, suspense, twists and turns, some action and amazing characters, as we go along on the ride through Mexico, evading bad guys and making it to safety. The story flowed beautifully w/o skipping a beat, with the ever present banter and hilarious moments with Zane….his dimples…handbook…gloving up….and once again this author hits it out of the ballpark!! Why can’t we give more than 5 stars?!?!?!? 10 ++++++ stars

An exciting (but swoony) military romance

I just loved the way Myles gently, lovingly, and beautifully helped Delilah come out of her self-imposed prison and begin to shine all while running and hiding. Myles and Delilah’s love story has a little bit of everything - sweet moments, fan your face steam, dangerous heart stopping action, painful pasts, strong friendships, and quite a few chuckles, all set against the backdrop of the Z Corps Agency. Expect to feel all the things - fear, love, anger, redemption, tears, joy, and so much all encompassing, nurturing, protective love. Myles has been tracking a kidnapped Delilah for two months and he refuses to give up. Delilah was kidnapped for digging a little too much into the underbelly of the company she was working for. From the first sentence, the excitement and danger does not let up for the rest of the book except for the loving moments between Myles and Delilah that are beautifully woven into the story. Myles, unlike the majority of the alpha males at Z Corps does not fight his HEA with everything he has, instead he embraces it right away. He just then has to convince Delilah. Riley Edwards really is fantastic at crafting beautifully paced, exciting military romances. I am excited to hear what happens next for the members of Blue Team.

There is so much in this book to love, from the characters, to the story, to the “visitors” to the story – I was genuinely sorry when it ended. Myles’ determination to rescue/find Delilah is symbolic of his approach to everything he does, and Delilah is just a joy to read. And Z is in this, and Zane fans will be thrilled at the extent of his involvement (I’m one of those!), and we see all sides of him – the crazy, sarcastic boss; the angrily protective husband, father, and friend; and the gentle, caring man that looks after Delilah when she needs him there most. While this is a standalone, it is enriched if you’re familiar with the other Blue Team books particularly, but that’s not essential. And of course, as part of Susan Stoker’s world, Tex comes to the rescue, as do Ghost, Truck et al. The suspense builds expertly through this story, and there is one particularly heart-stopping moment – but read it and enjoy!

So good!
Myles was undercover and searching for Delilah who had been taken captive.
This was fast paced, high energy and oh so good. I loved the momentum of the story, the push pull and the wonderful way Myles was with Delilah. She was shell shocked and withdrawn and had to learn to trust again. He was in love with her but oh so protective and wanted to take his time with her so she could acclimatise back to everything again. No pressure.
All of the guys were fantastic and the team spirit was the best. I adore books like this.
So well written, all of the characters, both men and women just come to life, it was a credit to Riley Edwards. Brilliant book!!

Lost but now found.
Myles didn't give up when his team couldn't find Delilah, he stayed behind and he found her, but she was tired of just hanging there, she fought back. Totally loved their inner thoughts, "brace, baby, sneak attack, no take-backs".

"King of the Castaways" made all kinds of inappropriate remarks to his guys in this book as usual and as usual they were hilarious. Total page-turner from the first page, I couldn't put it down, it included an all day session and into the late evening. Always, always love when this author's books come out. You have to jump on this wild read, you won't regret it. I'm still thinking of the book days after I've finished. I want to dive right back in and read it again.

Myles and Delilah😍

Myles is on the hunt for Delilah….after Evette figured out she was actually helping her with information, it appears Delilah has been kidnapped. Myles is tracking the leads and finally gets a solid one from Tex🤩

Delilah has been held prisoner and shuttled around for two months when Myles finds her. Unfortunately, the danger is still there and Myles will do everything in his power to protect her and while travelling this path unravel all the emotional damage inflicted on her from her past😕

Loved this story and the hint about Kevin’s book was soooo tempting….is it January yet?

This series gets better and better. I'm in awe at how seamlessly this author pulls off writing a spinoff and making characters from Susan's stories come to life. I've only read a few of the original characters but after this interconnected series, it makes me want to.

Myles was a fantastic character but it was Delilah that stole the show and blossomed.

Have you read any of the other reviews I’ve done for Riley Edwards?

Why not?? You definitely should! Just kidding, lol. (Not really)

The reason I ask is I have a tendency to gush about this author. She’s just THAT GOOD. Stories with fabulous “three-dimensional characters” that are both real and flawed; that evoke emotions from the reader that are lasting. Stories that not only entertain but teach as well. Riley Edwards always seems to have an underlying message in her stories. Nothing that hits the reader “over the head” but have them saying “wait...that’s what I’m dealing with in my life” or “now I understand what I went through with that situation.” I could go on and on about the goodness that is a Riley Edwards book but let me just tell you about this newest one. Because, in all honesty, I think it might be my favorite one yet.

Myles is the third book in the Blue Team books and one thing you need to know about him is that the word “QUIT” isn’t in his vocabulary. His current mission is to rescue Intel Specialist Delilah Watts. And believe it. HE.WILL.NOT.FAIL.

Delilah Watts never believed doing the right thing would land her in her current precarious situation. But it’s not something she regrets. Even with being kidnapped and left to die.

So let’s get into why I love this book so much…

Myles - YUM. Can we just leave it at that? Read the book, you’ll understand.

Delilah - where to start? Vulnerable yet strong. So so strong. Although she doesn’t believe that about herself. Life has taught her that she’s the problem. Funny thing? She’s not. But it takes Myles to help her see that everything she had been told has been a lie. She does have worth and value.

I went through so many emotions reading this book. I laughed, I cried, I put the book down and quickly picked it back up again.

The emotion conveyed in this book is astounding. I devoured the book in a day, I just couldn't put it down. Riley Edwards’s writing just grabs the reader and inserts them into her world of sexy heroes, and emotionally driven subjects and characters. She includes enough detail to paint a picture in the reader’s mind but leaves enough to allow them to use their imagination too.

Delilah melted my hard heart, I felt so much for this character; what she experienced, how she felt. Her journey was heart-wrenching but so beautiful, seeing her learn how to open up and love again. The relationship between her and Myles is just so sweet. Together they are perfect. Sometimes you read a book and the characters have to work at it, at least in my opinion, but not so with Delilah and Myles, they were made for one another. I definitely can’t wait for more of Blue Team and their partners!

Wow

I absolutely loved this book and couldn’t put it down. This is exactly what I expect of a Riley Edwards book. I loved how protective Myles was to Delilah. They had an immediate connection. Now seriously, is it January yet? I want Kevin’s book.

Needless to say Riley Edwards does Romantic-Suspense really really well. No wonder she's been a go to for me when it comes to RS.

Myles was an amazing read from start to finish.
The romance was so well written that even though Myles and Delilah knew each other for only a few days, their love or attraction towards each other didn't feel forced or inorganic.
Like Mary said, When it's right, it's right. One hour. One day. One month. Doesn't matter

Myles is definitely an alpha but he breaks down the walls Delilah has around her heart slowly but steadily. I love how he knew from the minute he saw her photo what he wanted and was NOT afraid to show it at all. I liked that he didn't play the "I'm too broken and bad for her. She deserves someone better than me blah blah blah... " It was nice to see some determination and no extreme push and pull for a change.

I felt bad about how sad and lonely Deliha's childhood was and how that affected all her relationships in life. She finally realised that she wasn't the cold and distant person she was told she was. It was great to watch her come into herself and love Myles.

I had to put this book down a couple times. Not because I wanted to, but because I HAD to. Myles and Delilah literally put my Kindle on fire, that too without any shame. I might have had to take extremely cold showers after each smexy time because... Myles🥵 . Seriously, too good.

I really liked this book but then why not 5 stars? This is a romantic suspense and unfortunately I found the suspense part a bit lacking. And this is because I've actually read Riley's books and she does RS really well. I've just come to expect great stuff from her.
The climax was anti climactic and I kinda felt cheated out of some good action. This felt more about how Delilah grew as a person and how Myles helped her do that.

I know Tamir was a bad guy but he called to me so much. I know it's not possible but I really want his story. I would happily read that.

And finally... ZANE LEWIS.
Oh man! I don't have any words about how much I love Zane. That man is a treasure with dark ocean blue eyes, panty-melting-dimples, infinite sarcasm and a heart made of gold. My kindle is filled with highlights about anything and everything related to Zane. I would fight Ivy, no doubt, but in my mind I AM Ivy so it's allll good.
I just might go and read Zane and Ivy's book again..

Can be read as a stand alone but why would you do that when you can gobble up all these hot alpha males and their stories? Duh.
Can't wait for Kevin's book and Dangerous Rescue! Eeeep!

Myles was absolutely compelling from the first page to the last. I don't know how Riley Edwards does it time after time but her books are among the best I've ever read (and I read a lot.) Myles is edgy, gripping, perilous and smoldering. But more importantly, it's about trust both earning and keeping it. It's about helping someone to discover their self worth and gaining the confidence to flaunt it. Having the irascible Zane Lewis and Ghost Bryson's Delta Force team involved only made this fabulous story better.

Delilah Watts learned early on in her life to be quiet, invisible and what she wanted didn’t matter. She was dismissed as baggage. Myles Simms is exactly the opposite. He was raised by two loving parents who taught him to be a man of honor and integrity, to be self-assured, there was nothing he couldn't accomplish, and how to love a woman. Following Delilah's trail for months Myles became fascinated by with her. Learning all about her and getting her to trust him become equally as important as keeping her safe and protected.

You were lost but now you are found! Those words are so much mean so much more to Deliliah than it first appears. Myles had been trying to Deliliah for months and once he does the story really begins.

This story is part of the special forces world, so there is a great mix of romance and suspense. The story also carriers over previous storylines from the previous book and other series. Even if you have not read the other series, you can still pick this one up and enjoy it. The characters are well written and as always with Riley's stories the men fall fast and hard.

Myles is another great addition to the Blue Team. This one centres around Myles and Delilah - both of. Which we’ve met in previous books.

I love how many of my favourite characters from other books appear for either small or larger parts.

Great characters, great storyline and plenty of laughs.

Myles was addictive in that I really struggled to put it down.

I can not wait for Kevin’s book - he is my favourite Blue Team character.

Riley Edwards has written a 5-star book. This is the story of Delilah and Myles. Delilah has found some things at work and now she has been taken by Tamir. Tamir has kept her for two months. He has called Zane to let him know where she would be. Myles and his team have been looking for her the whole time she was missing. Zane has called Myles's team back home but Myles has stayed to continue to look for Delilah. Zane calls him and tells Myles where Delilah is supposed to be. When Myles gets to Delilah, things do not go as well as he wants. She doesn't trust him and at first, fights him. Myles finally gets her to go with him after he tells her that Zane sent him. They are almost to his car when they meet a man with a message from Tamir. The message told Myles to keep Delilah under the radar and they would know when the time was right to bring her home. Myles gets to where they are staying and Delilah doesn't want to go in since she is in bad shape. She is dirty and looks like she had been homeless. Abrams wants Delilah dead because she knows what he has planned. Myles keeps her safe for a while. They find out that Alejandro, the doctor that Abrams is looking for is still alive. Delilah has helped him fake his death and go into hiding. Delilah knew where he was and they need to find him. Zane sends Kevin to help Myles but things don't go the way they plan. Alejandro sells them out to Abrams and after Kevin leaves with Alejandro, Myles and Delilah are about to leave when she has to go to the bathroom. Myles tells her to stay in the bathroom and no matter what she hears she is not to come out. Abrams comes in and wants to know where Alejandro is and when Myles tells him that he is gone, Abrams tells Tamir to look to makes sure no one else is in the house. Tamir is the one who took Delilah and when he sees her in the tub, he uses the single to be quiet and then tells Abrams that no one is in the house. They leave and Delilah waits for a little while more. She tries to call Kevin but it just goes to voicemail. She calls Zane and tells him what happened. He tells her that he is going to call Kevin and have him come back to get her. She begs him not to hang up on her so he puts her on speaker and does what he needs to do. Zane can't get Kevin and then he calls in and tells Zane that Alejandro is dead. Kevin is told that Abrams has Myles and he is about ready to go back and get Delilah when she begs him to go after Myles. Zane and Kevin finally agree and Kevin gives Delilah directions on how to get to the airport. Zane has a plane coming in to get her to bring her home. Kevin goes after Myles. Delilah gets a call from Zane to see how she is doing and stays on the phone with her until she gets to the airport. He tells her to asks a certain question of Ghost to make sure he is who he is supposed to be. For Myles, things are not looking good. He is in the middle of nowhere and Abrams wants to know where Alejandro is but Myles doesn't know.
Will things work out for Delilah?
Will Myles make it back to Delilah?
This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

I loved Myles in audio even more than I loved reading his book. Helped in no small part by the amazing narrators who brought the characters to life. Of all the Blue team so far he hasn’t been the most in your face and we really haven’t spent that much time getting to know him other than he is a great leader and Owen called him bossy. Despite this I found it so easy to fall for his charms. Sebastian Yorke played this to perfection and I swooned at the gruff depth of his voice and how he really made the listener feel the emotions and “feels@ he had for Delilah.

I also particularly loved how, despite the high drama of this exciting thrill filled suspenseful story, the falling in love part was so easy. Delilah wasn’t high drama in the slightest, and suited Myles down to the ground. She appreciated rather than railed against his protective nature and quickly grasped what he meant to her and what she meant to him without being a total walkover. Her nature was recognised and nurtured rather than trodden all over and she grew in confidence because of this which was done most excellently by Janine Granda. She managed to get totally on point the range between a woman truly and desperately scared for her life, to the eminently more comfortable and confident woman who word vomited all over Rayne and the girl gang.

Can I shout out to the unmentionable scenes….is it just me or has RE taken things up a notch in this book. She’s definitely hinted at it but I’m pretty sure never actually gone THERE before!!! And hearing it vs reading it brought this girls Lily white cheeks some strong colour ☺️

Interactions with the rest of the Blue team were totally on point as usual and I didn’t think it was possible to fall more in love with Zane, but yet I did. Can I admit to being thrilled Delilah greeted him as she did though…it’s been a long time coming.

I feel like the ongoing storyline from the last few books was wrapped up here, but in her usual stealthy skilled way, RE has woven in her next dramatic storyline that I feel will take us on another heart pounding journey with the badass brigade. This one has been quietly building for a while and I’m eager to see where it goes.

Lovely to see so many of the Operation Alpha characters in this book too, it’s not often Ghost and his team get brought in, not en masse and certainly not the ladies too. I felt they were reflected and portrayed true to the Susan Stoker characterisation too

Unlike Myles, who was a background character in a lot of the Blue books so far, Kevin has been more front and centre throughout (Meat ;) ) and I can’t wait for his and Layla’s book coming up.

Yes she had some residual hurt from her childhood but she quickly navigated those with the help of Myles and from the on, their romance was a sea of calm in the explosion and drama filled mission they were on.

Oh I just love the beautiful sound of Sebastian York. He brings Myles to life. The opening part of the story gets in to what happens to a character from Gabe's book. I get excited when there is an in depth plotline and military type action, this is just it. There is so much more to blue teams mission and its wonderfully written. Riley is so capable of weaving the beautiful family warmth in one book and the next book is action, missions and suspense.
The attraction fires up instantly between the H and h and its cleverly hidden in amongst the angst. I just kept listening, waiting and sinking into the plot. Delilah grew expedentially as the chapters peeled away and in the end, I predicted, she was going to fit right in
I had to chuckle though as Riley described her own book. That was brilliant.
And Zane and Ivy, what a hoot.
The dry humour just kept on keeping on. And to top it off..shiny panties.
The way the 2 got to know eachother was cleverly orchestrated and I continued to get wrapped up as the story unfolded
Then just to make my toes tingle not only does Susan Stokers characters pop up, my favourite heroine...Violet is mentioned as well.
The other thing I'm loving in Riley's books is the duet dialogue in some places. It brings a depth to the discussion between characters that makes it more emotional.
The hotness is so full of heat as Riley takes her time bringing them together. It was the easiest, hotness ever.
The further in to the novel I listened, the more I fell for Myles, he treated Delilah like a true gem and I discovered he's the raunchiest blue alpha yet.
The banter in the blue team books that I've listened to so far, is like yin and yang. Angst and comical dialogue.
Ms Edwards, simply astounds me.
Then as I crested and started the down hill run things got serious. Red Team is explored, which I'm glad I know and the action ratchets up. It all came to a smooth intense ending and I then had the pleasure of just listening and enjoying so many of my favourite characters. Fantastic book.
With themes like ethics and self worth resonating throughout this story it was doubly delightful.
And I can't go without mentioning Janine. Gee she's an awesome narrator.

This is book 3 in the Blue Team offshoot series and I would absolutely read the previous books before reading this one. In this one we get Myles and Delilah's story. At the end of the previous book, we were left with Myles still searching for Delilah and hoping she was still alive. And this book picked right up where that one left off. Myles will not give up looking for her, it's just not in him. Delilah was kidnapped and left to die. She knew what she had was something that other's would kill over, she just had hoped it wouldn't be her. But she also believed that if it saved one life, then it was worth the consequences. When Myles finds her, she has to learn who she can truly trust. And decide on whether to tell them everything and hope they can keep her safe or to just give up and run.

I absolutely loved this story!! I knew it would be intense just because of how Gabe's book ended but I didn't expect it to go the way it did! There was so much more to Delilah and what she was attempting to do, and I definitely didn't see that coming at all! This woman was afraid and yet despite her fear, she still stood up and tried to change the things that she knew were wrong! I loved her!! She has such a heart that you can't help but love her and want her to safe and happy. Myles went through something horrific and it changed things about him-but when you read about it, it breaks your heart knowing how much this hurt him. He will never leave someone in need. no matter if he knows it's a lost cause or if he can't change the outcome. He just can't do it. And I loved that about him. He isn't afraid to be the person who will do something necessary, even at his own expense. These two were absolutely perfect for each other. They complimented each other but they also learned how to be friends and genuinely like each other! I loved every part of this story, including the part with a certain someone! I would love to read a story about him and any of his family as well!! Now I need Kevin's book because I have a feeling it will be epic!

Not as good as most of her other Operation Alpha boks - read on KU

With most of the OA books she has written, the attraction is so strong and so instant it seems like the MCs are struck stupid for a bit when they first meet. Their instant thoughts are carnal. I didn't get that feel in this one. And that's OK but it made the connection between them seem less incendiary. I had forgotten Mhles had disappeared looking for her. His need to protect her started with just a picture but, at first, it seemed more brotherly to me. Certainly more platonic.

****** Vague spoilers but nothing that would ruin the book for you. *****
Another reviewer said it was packed with action and I disagree. Miles rescues her and then spends a few days hiding her. A large percentage of the book is about them being holed up in places. They are found in one location and have to move but the most action at that point is walking away quickly, a small action that we don't even see on Myles' part, and then driving to a new place. Then they move again couple of times but only to get closer to where they are going. We're well past the 50% mark by this point and the action part has been less than 8-10 pages. There is one sequence of action scenes but it is very anticlimactic. The threat is over by 70%. The book was over at 8x%.
**** end spoilers*****

Delilah was only mildly interesting. Miles was good but he didn't draw me in like most of her alphas have. This series, as a whole, has been less gripping than the other team series. Comparing this to the Gold team series is night and day. While generically the same, the amount of action and plot is so much better in the earlier series.

This did have a couple of really good sex scenes. There were more than 2 total but the others were less interesting.

I don't know if I just haven't noticed before but this book has a large number of missing commas. I don't know if all her books have been that way or if her editing is getting more lax.

I will keep reading but I hope she'll get back to books like those in the Gold Team series.

This story is full of twists and turns with plenty of action, suspense, violence and steamy moments that is off the charts HOT!!!! This is another thrilling story by Riley Edwards surrounding the Blue Team and the danger they face to complete each deadly mission, that is a must read! I highly recommend that you read the first two book in this series as the characters interconnect.

Action that frames an emotionally deep story

The Blue team series (as well as the Red and Gold team) is part of the Operation Alpha fan fiction world for Susan Stoker's SEAL of Protection, Delta Force Heroes, and Badge of Honor: Texas Heroes Worlds. This does mean that there are quite a few names in the book that may be familiar to you if you read this world, or not. However, the book can be read as a standalone romantic suspense.

Myles and Delilah's story (Book 3 in Blue team) has both a great action element, but also (as per all of Riley's books) a great character growth element. So, while fast-paced action keeps you turning the pages, you get all the "feelings" in between.

Myles rescuing and then protecting Delilah from her evil boss, them racing to secure proof of her boss' evilness while dodging the bad guys is a good action element that frames the deeper story.

Underneath all the action, we have a somewhat insta-love story. Myles' motto of "never again" has a tragic backstory but plays right into his focus on saving Delilah (and keeping her safe). It is Delilah that shows the most emotional growth in this story. A childhood without love left her a lonely adult struggling with trust issues that her recent ordeal reinforced. However, Myles has a soft guiding hand, teasing out Delilah's inner strength and showing her through word and deed how a different connection to those around her is possible. It is this depth of the story and characters that make Myles another great read from Riley Edwards.

The forced proximity trope does also give you great side characters like Zane and Kevin. If you have not read the other books in this world, the glimpses of characters may convince you to take the plunge.

Delilah and Myles are meant for each other and develop a strong connection towards one another almost immediately. She is highly intelligent and has used her skills to uncover secrets. She was kidnapped by former Israeli defense commando Tamir Cohen who was actually her boss. He was head of security for Aviv Abrams who wanted Delilah dead.
She and Yvette had uncovered documents that Abrams had revealing that he was using scientists to develop AI in order to alter soldiers’ brains.

Myles was a bad ass and knew that he had to rescue Delilah. He was very dedicated, determined and nothing could stop him from doing something that had to be done no matter how difficult. He was able to find Delilah who was abandoned in Mexico just in time before it was too late, and she succumbed to not having been given food or water.

This story has so many twists and turns it will keep you intrigued the entire time to find out what exactly she uncovered, who was involved and why she was kidnapped. It will also feel so happy for them as they grow so close to each other and find out what true love really is and how they cannot lose each other.

Sebastian York and Janine Granda were so amazing narrating this story, I didn’t want the story to end.

“My dad taught me a great many things. How to love a woman, certainly. How to be a man of honor and integrity, absolutely. But it was Mom who taught me by example that I can do and be anything I want to be. There are no such things as limits, no heights I cannot reach. She didn’t struggle, work hard, claw, fight, and put in an ungodly amount of hours because she thought as a woman she needed to. For her, being a woman has no relevance in any conversation. It was about work ethic and she taught that to me.”

This was such a good book, from the first chapter, it was a page turner and I couldn't put it down. Myles is the ultimate hero, who didn't turn his back and give up on finding Delilah, even when his team headed home. There was something about the photo of her that he had, that drew him to her and made him vow to find her. I really loved Myles throughout the whole book, after he found Delilah and rescued her, he was so gentle, kind and loving towards her and really helped her come out of her self-imposed prison and PTSD from being held captive. He really brought her out of her shell and never got frustrated with her.

Delilah was kidnapped for digging a little too much into the company she was working for. Delilah is a smart woman, she has been held captive for months and starts to lose hope that she will be saved. When she finally is saved by Myles, she has to learn how to trust someone and to also believe in her own self worth (also with reassurance and the help of Myles) after having a less than ideal upbringing, giving her very low self confidence and self worth.

Myles, unlike the majority of the alpha males at Z Corps does not fight his HEA with everything he has, instead he embraces it right away. He just then has to convince Delilah to not only trust him, but to also trust herself and realize that she isn't as broken as she thinks she is, and that he won't leave her and will help her fly. Myles and Delilah’s love story has a little bit of everything - sweet moments, fan your face steam, dangerous heart stopping action, painful pasts, strong friendships, and quite a few laughs. Highly recommend!

And the love affair with Blue Team continues with the wonderful Myles - he is strong protective, determined and honourable to his core! Myles felt a connection to Delilah from the moment he saw her photograph and won’t give up until he finds her. Traumatised by her time in captivity, Delilah‘s trust is broken and with her mother’s constant putdowns echoing in her head she doesn’t believe Myles could ever be hers no matter how much she wants him. Always true to his character Myles never gives up and is determined to not only gain her trust but to just keep giving and giving until Delilah realises their connection is bone deep and she can have everything she wants.
An absolute page turner, fast moving, action packed, full of suspense and the chemistry between Myles and Delilah is sizzling hot! Zane fans (that’s me) will be delighted that Z in all his glory features heavily in the story, along with all the usual Z Corps team humour in addition to appearances from Tex, Ghost et al.
I loved the story, the relationship between Myles and Delilah was just so perfect to read and how his belief in her empowered her to believe in herself and become the person she was meant to be.
Thank you Riley Edwards, another awesome book and can’t wait for Kevin!
