When the past and present collide
Grace lived a sheltered life within the mafia, but that all changed when her mother was murdered, and her and her father went into hiding for 6 years.
On what is supposed to be the happiest day of her life, turns into one of blood and carnage where violence reins down, her father is murdered and she finds herself a hostage victim to four men Hale, Lucas, Zaid and Ciro, four men who also have ties to her past.
They treat her like the hostage that she is, interrogating her about her father and what he may have been hiding including his betrayal of the people that were considered family.
Tension begins to boil between Grace and the four men, including s*xual tension.
But when Grace escapes she finds herself back in Brian’s arms, only to be betrayed again, and when they come to the rescue, they realised that she is telling the truth, and that she is much a victim to her father’s deceit as they are to his betrayal.
And then they discover a traitor in there midst, which doesn’t bode well for all of them.
Then Grace comes face to back with Damian Novak head of the Novak Syndicate, despite all she’s been through and all that she has ensured she faces him with a strength and determination making her men all that more possessive and protective over her.
Grace becomes a target, threatening her, hoping to scare her into compliance, but she will bow down to no one.
And then Hale suffers a blow when his father is murdered, something only Grace can understand, and he’ll do anything to exact his revenge on those responsible.
The traitor is revealed, but it doesn’t come without consequences and those consequences come in the form of her mother who she thought was long dead.
But the woman who she knew back then, versus the women she meets now is not the mother she know or remembers, her mother is cruel, calculating and rules her empire with an iron fist, one Grace has no plans to be part of ever.
Grace unwittingly takes on more that she can handle when she is approached by the FBI, determined to prove the innocence of her men, and when her men intercept a trafficking ring, things begin to connect, and Grace realises she is in way over her head.
And when her mother and her syndicate is taken down, she comes clean to her men about the choices she made much to there dissatisfaction of having no control of the outcome, but getting a positive outcome nonetheless.
Grace becomes acclimated to the mafia’s way of life, Hale giving her a voice and allowing her to weigh in on decisions that affect them all. She truly has become a savage queen.
This book has it all murder, madness, mayhem, dark romance, love, revenge, vengeance, violence, adrenaline seeking suspense, twists, truths and betrayal.
This trilogy will take you on a wild ride and will have you turning page after page. This book had me from the beginning right til the end . This author definitely knows how to write and I’ll be coming back for more.
And those MF, MFM and MFMM were steamy, uh uh they were off the charts and through the stratosphere and had all of the feels.
The bittersweet moment was when Hale admitted to being in love with her along with Lucas, Zaid and Ciro and she reciprocated same, but the crux for me was that ending, plus the bonus chapter, now that is a happily ever after well deserved by all, if I say so myself.
