Inspiring
The author pulls no punches about the major political and ecclesial crises which we are currently experiencing, but encourages us to bravely face the crises in an active way.

Skip this radicalism and pick up a better book. One that is actually Catholic. I highly recommend these instead:
- The Miraculous Medal by Mary Fabyan Windeatt
- Thoughts and Counsels from the Saints for Every Day of the Year by Bonaventure Hammer
- The Mass: The Glory, the Mystery, the Tradition by Donald Wuerl
- A Simple Path by Mother Theresa

About: Radical conservative man attempts to skew evidence in his favor to hate on education, science, lgbtq+, diversity etc in the name of God
Review:
They start with transgenderism calling it evil and a worse evil than homosexuality. He claims that God appointed us to stop this yet does not have Biblical backup for it. They provide zero scientific evidence, only stories.
Next is Child Porn. We can all agree THAT is evil, but I can't help but view his first paragraph about it as radically encouraging people to see it... to prove how evil it is. You don't have to see it to know it's evil so... maybe rewrite that paragraph.
Then he attacks education. They provide some evidence but skews it in his favor. Simply look up "James Corbett CA Science Teacher" and you will see the truth in the case.
They also mention Sex Ed saying they are teaching "porn" to children yet again provides zero proof. You know what is true about sex ed? It lowered teen pregnancy. Hallelujah.
They talk about "Social Justice Book List" as a bad thing. I did not know diverse books were evil.... (they aren't). Also... They claim to be Catholic, hello? Social Justice is a huge part of Catholicism. Just google Social Justice Book List and you will see the beautiful books that are wonderful to have in your library.
Next they talk about how video games groom children and that a particular game, i won't name it, was aimed at children. A simple google search. No, it wasn't aimed at children. It is an adult game. Lying is against a commandmant.
Next, Adult Pornography. They claim porn stopped people from wanting children, with zero proof. Miraculously, they provided evidence of how porn can increase violence against women with a real report. Good job.
The next topic is Abortion. Here it is the second time the false and nonexistent god Moloch is mentioned, by the way scripture says these gods do not exist as they are just statues and human made. Don't fear a nonexistent being.
They misquote Gov Ralph Northam by saying he was okay with infanticide when he wasn't. Just google it.
Look I am not a fan of abortion, no one seems to be. Abortion is a woman's right though. There are many reasons why a woman would get one. Many men, like the supposed author of this ruse of a book (ha), don't realize (or unfortunately do realize) that having your own bodily autonomy frees the woman from the shackles of society that used to (and maybe still in 'conservative' circles) control women and force them in invisible cages.
The Church. They mention the sexual attacks against boys, men, and girls in particular, something all Catholics are sad to digest. However he blames homosexuality, not Pedophilia. Are you freaking kidding?
This author is controversial. He said people on the left should be shot, even his christian allies abandoned him saying he was Un-Christian. He later "apologized" (because people were turning away from him not cuz he was sorry).
Don't follow false prophets and liars like this author.

I have read many books who sound the clarion call such as this and they are usually well-intentioned but lack organization and contain flimsy supportive material to champion their cause. Mr. Ruse is a journalist and he knows that presentation of facts and an engaging writing style (straight to the point) make the difference in stirring hearts and minds
All thorny issues are presented here: gender ideology, abortion, sexual scandal of the clergy, and in so many words, secular narcissism. After reading, I see a pattern of how the Catholic church has been assailed by those who have relentlessly tried to dismantle the key values that have been established from the beginning of time: family unit, community, and God.
The author exhorts that the time to act is now. Readers will not benefit from feeling despair or daydream about better times. We are put here for a reason. Our souls long for Truth and for something more than shallow diversions.
Thank you Mr. Ruse for writing this book. It's a hopeful and thought-provoking book that illustrates that God can bring about good in many ways, even from evil.

Fantastic introduction on MANY hot topics that are in full force to destroy our present and future humanity. That’s where the book starts and ends - intros. The book could have been longer with stronger, more in depth threads, on all topics. Instead, the writer tells us to go look up more on our own.
On to the references. Website links to articles for references? What happens when those links are dead? There’s different Catholic books out there that will provide a myriad of scholastic research options for the reader to dig in further. This book does not.
Realistically, the writing is not great. Many parts don’t flow and paragraphs end entire topics abruptly. I’m not sure if this was intentional or a bad editor.
SUCH important topics. Better executions are out there.

Eye opening and inspirational
My husband and I listened to this together. We really appreciated how hopeful and inspiring it was in the end because the things we have been witnessing in the world today are unfathomable and extremely overwhelming.

"We are a "let's roll" people, not a "let's roll up in a ball" people." I love this book. A great reminder of who we are. Highly recommend.

This was a great read. I wish that I could have had the time to read it in one or two sittings. The book provides perspective on our time. We are living in an epoch to be sure.

Live a life of truth amidst the lies of the world. Make a commitment to a life worth living by engaging in prayer and service to others.

This book made excellent points and was encouraging to read, unfortunately I believe it took too politically conservative approach than necessary.
