Wasn’t expecting !
This is the first time ever which i start with the Narrator first, Kim Bretton is an amazing one of a kind narrator, totally understandable fast reader and excellent different voices for each of the characters and she also makes you feel it all, the fear the anticipations and the rest of the feeling which the author wanted to relay truly an amazing job !
Now the Author Christopher Artinian a great writer, so much different then others, his writing make you feel the story was written for you just like you are there watching it all happening, every character is spot on, professional is for sure.
A beautiful masterpiece !
Absolutely without a doubt this creation is fully recommended.

First Political POV and I thoroughly enjoyed it. This gave me an Independence Day Movie Vibe (Only Substitute Zombies instead of Aliens) It kept me more enthralled than I expected with it being in this POV. Thoroughly enjoyed this.

Safe Haven – Doomsday (The Beginning of the End of Everything) by Christopher Artinian and narrated by Kim Bretton is another wow for the series! I love we get to know the origins, but also it still keeps you on your feet so far into the series. I’ve said this plenty of times and I’ll say it again- if you haven’t listened to this series, you’re missing out. Highly recommend you listen if you enjoy the genre or are a zompoc fan.
In this book, we get new characters and the origin of the outbreak (no, I’m not giving the spoiler). The focus is on the bigger picture and the individuals in the government trying to contain the outbreak vs. a smaller group trying to survive in the depths of the apocalypse. It is a refreshing change and a story I’m glad Christopher opted to tell instead of the playing the guess the origin game. Kim did a lovely job yet again- great pace, tone, emotions, and characters. I want more of Andy’s world and what happens next (it’s in the works, right?). This is a book could be a stand alone, but I recommend listening to previous books at some point as you’re missing out if you don’t.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! Most books in the zompoc genre focus on a group of people trying to survive after the apocalypse has started. This book, on the other hand, focuses on behind the scenes functioning of a government trying to stop the spread of the disease.
The characters were relatable and Mr. Artinian has made them very realistic. The decisions that the Prime Minister has to make are often heartbreaking and you can feel the emotions that he feels as he tries to save his country and its people. There are also enough zombie encounters to keep the diehard fans happy with Mia and Zach, two MI6 agents fighting their way out of Paris.
The narrator, Kim Bretton, really brings this book to life and her voices continue to amaze me. Her performance makes you feel like you are actually in the action, not just reading it. I always know that I am going to be blown away when I read/listen to books by this author and this narrator and this one doesn't disappoint!

Unputdownable page turner superb series
This series is such an incredible read impossible to put down. Its a never ending rollercoaster of events which you think phew it's OK now ... only to turn the page for the next onslaught.
The characters are well developed and higly relatable.
Chapters leave you hanging on the edge & you can't read the pages quick enough to see what is going to happen. It's not something that you can second guess .
I found this series after reading The burning tree which is another mindblowing series by this author. So good I also got the audiobooks which amazed me because they somehow took it to a new level I didn't think was possible.
From Safe Haven I read The end of everything which intertwines with Safe Haven . They're all unputdownable very believable gripping stories . I will also Safe Haven & The end of everything on audiobook too, because they are that good.
I highly recommend anything by this author.

Wow, what a great Read!
I was a little leery at first not sure if this book would be a good read or not but I should have known if Mr. A wrote it it would be a fantastic read no matter the topic. The only complaint I have is it ended too soon.
This story was a compelling read, it had everything that we have come to love and anticipate in a Mr. A book. There was non-stop action from start to finish, great new characters and a fascinating storyline. I like to get the backstory of how things started and who was involved etc. Hopefully, we will have another book that explains what happened, how did the virus get to London and why it was never put out the only way to kill the Zombies was a shot to the head. Well done Sir! You keep getting better with each book. I can’t wait until your next book.

Just when you think the Safe Haven series doesn't get better, it does. Christopher Artinian is one talented author with genius and chilling storylines and incredible characters. Doomsday, delivered in the best way possible! It's well-plotted, brilliantly written, hair-raising horrific, the edge of the seat exciting, and unpredictable. Once again, characters development was spot on with well-rounded and diverse personalities. The emotions, the reactions were authentic, fitting the situations characters found themselves in.
Kim Bretton's narration was outstanding. She captured the characters' distinct personalities, injecting the emotions and intensity found in the pages. She made the book come to life. Doomsday is a must-listen, one I'm highly recommending.

Although I found the juxtaposition of this book interesting as this book offers more explanation of when and how the "end of everything" began, I enjoyed it very much. The author has created a whole new set of characters and interesting interpersonal relationships and I hope that Christopher will write another sister series relating what happens to them. Besides fascinating characters, the story is full of action, tense fighting scenes, and surprising sub-plots. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series. Kim Bretton's narration skills are scintillating and her portrayal helps the characters to shine. I was given a free copy of the audiobook and I have voluntarily left this review.

This is a character driven story of how one country, England, tries to stop the zombie apocalypse from reaching it's shores. The government lead by Andy Beck is doing it's best putting out numerous fires like a missing nuclear sub, an aircraft carrier heading for shore that is known to have had an outbreak and the press that is doing it's best to create a panic and make the government look bad. All these events make for an edge of your seat, roller coaster ride of a story. I highly recommend this book and any other written by Christopher Artinian as he sure knows how to tell a story.

Another brilliant book from Chris, this time we get to see how the whole thing started and how the people in charge tried to deal with it. Wonderful characters, great story - all things we have come to expect and love. I am hoping that the characters introduced here will somehow get to be involved with Mike, Wren and the rest of our cast and somehow come up with a way to get us all out of this mess - but not yet, of course because I think there is a lot more of the story to play out before that happens. I relish the thought of what is to come.

This story, this world, these character…. I’m so glad there are good ones in office in some places….. even if they are fictional!
I loved getting the story of how it all began from a political standing. I’m not sure how Christopher keeps rolling out these amazing stories and adventures but I am so glad he does! I can’t recommend his books enough.

A really great read
I have read all the End Of Everything and Safe Haven books and enjoyed them immensely. Doomsday takes you back to the begining and how the government tries to deal with an infectious problem that no one has seen or heard of before.The British PM, Andy, is a leader that you hope you have .This book was such a great read that you hate to put it down. Even knowing what is to come you keep hoping that everyone will be ok. Can't wait for the next episode.

Superb read
Absolutely loved this book right from the very start. You can't help but like some of characters already and are kept on the edge of your seat with each chapter. So very well written and Chris has certainly done his homework and as a fellow Brit I can relate to certain places. Can't wait for the next book and to see what turn of events take place. Enjoyed this Book
Seeing the working of a nation trying to save itself from the zombie apocalypse was a fascinating read. The prime Minister is a man who cares about the people and wants to save his country as other countries around the world fall to this devastating virus. Look forward to more from this author

Loved this!
What a great introduction to the series.
I loved the dialogue, the fast paced action, and the different locations.
The Reanimated were ghoulish disturbing and the spies were super-slippy.
Recommended for zompoc fans who like their writers to be skilled at both scene-setting and character construction.

What an excellent idea, the end of the world not from the perspective of survivors,premiers or the military but from a political point of view,very clever.
This is a must read book, it gives you a sense of growing desperation and panic in the government,it's an excellent story,I loved it

Absolutely Brilliant Book!!!!
Christopher Artinian is an amazing author with a complete grasp on the world he has created. From the beginning of this book, you feel the apprehension of the coming apocalypse in Great Britain. Then, to throw in the side story and its final result .... Just WOW! A must read!

Wow! Wow!
What a great story! I really liked reading this from the government standpoint. As much as I hate politics, this book gave me a small understanding of the difficulty of keeping a country safe. Great writing and character development and unexpected surprises and shocking turn of events throughout the book. 5 stars and recommended reading if you're into zompoc!

Brilliant
This has had me gripped from beginning to end. I'm really hoping that the PM can keep the shores of Britain safe . We all know what happens but you can't help hoping that some of them survive. There is lots of dark humour and fast paced action . Definitely a must for fans of safe haven and The end of everything. Would definitely recommend this whole series.

A fantastic prequel that gives you insight on how it all began
With a new cast of well developed characters I’m hoping to see more of in the future

This story was a great read. Whatever your politics, Andy was a great leader for Britain in it hour of need. He knew the difference between the protocols of government and suicide, and acted accordingly. You want to know more? Read the book yourself!

Excellent
This is a very tense story about the beginning of the zpoc. When the government first learns that the world is being decimated by a killer virus, these men and women have to figure out how to keep their own people safe. Great characters that I really felt for.

Fantastic.....
.....book, but is this the end??? How did the virus reach England??? Not a lot of action but still a terrific read!!!! All new characters! Book is best read at end of series and not at the beginning. Will there be more??? I sure hope so!!!!!

Brilliant read on how the Government, tried to maintain a pandemic free country. Christian Artinian. Has out done himself again with this Prequel.

This an absolute thriller of a story. I am a huge fan of Christopher Artinians books. You are instantly drawn into the worlds of his characters and you don't want to leave. Doomsday is gripping from start to finish and I wish it didn't end. More please. Vote 1 for Andy !
