I have a feeling that this may be the main emotion I have when I reach the end of every book in this series: I can’t wait to see what’s next for Harper and Einstein. Again, the mystery was a twisting thing that led to questions and answers about a great deal more than what was right in front of them. Harper makes great strides with her family’s traditions and a few of her own ghosts, opening up several possibilities for the future. Where this book concludes, leaves me absolutely rabid to find out what’s going to happen next.

Harper Kagel is looking forward to a relaxing vacation away from Steepwick. Bay House is not very far from Steepwick, but with the winding roads, it takes a while to get there. When Harper and Lola arrive at the B&B, they will join Hannah and Maeve. Maeve has been contracted to do interior decorating at the B&B and Hannah has been helping her. The B&B is situated near a steep cliff with a wonderful view of the ocean. The new owners, Jim and Carol Martin, are planning to spend some time at the B&B.

Jim enjoys running around the property in the morning, especially near the cliffs. Jim Martin had arranged for a special dinner to be delivered by a famous chef and crew while he and Carol were out on their own. After dinner, Harper and Lola take Einstein for a walk. Along the way they see what looks like the Martin's Mercedes on the side of the road. Checking out the car, the find it empty. As Harper and Lola start to return to the house, Einstein starts barking and wants them to follow him. As the moon shines out from behind a cloud, Harper sees a body on the rocks below the cliff. The body turns out to be Jim Martin.

How did Jim Martin die? Was it an accident or murder? If murder, who killed him? Why was he killed? Can Harper and the Cold Case Club solve the mystery?

Vickie Carroll has a great addition to this series. She has wonderful characters and unique situations that will hold the reader's attention right from the start. There are plenty of twists and turns to keep you guessing clear to the end and looking forward to the next book in the series.

Harper, Einstien, and the rest of the Cold Case Club find themselves on the trail of another criminal. And this is a very complicated case with lots of off links. I honestly couldn’t follow how they figured it out. It was just too convoluted and intermingled with a different case they had been working on.

While the mystery didn’t seem to flow for me, the last part of the book really focuses on Harper and her relationship with her past and her family. I loved this part and wished there was more of a focus on Harper and her character growth. I enjoy the other ladies in the Cold Case Club, but they tend just to run together, and I can’t keep them apart.

Much of this book takes place at a beautiful bed and breakfast on a cliffside with a gorgeous view, but I never really got to see a lot of it. After it was described once, it seemed like it was forgotten until parts of the location were important to the investigation. I wanted to feel the warm sun while they were talking at the pool and shudder as they looked over the edge of the cliff, but I never really felt any of that.

“A blessing and a curse in equal measure shall you have."

Harper has settled back in Spellwick, running her cousin's bookstore and living in the house she also inherited from her cousin Hazel. And Einstein, her dog :" a human trapped in a Westie...” .
She's also" inherited" a space in the CCC-the cold case club, but right now they need to help solve a twisted mystery of a B+B owner in another town which seems to have connections to the CCC case. Can they figure it out before Einstein gets tired of paddling around on his pool float?

I love the titles (ICYMI they are major arcana tarot cards)of the books in this series. And although the mysteries are grand and intelligent, the story of Harper Kagel coming into her own powers is what will keep me coming back. Highly Recommended 5/5

Prediction Murder: The Fool is the second book in this cozy mystery series. Harper, Einstein and her friends in the Cold Case Club are on vacation .. but not apparently from murder.

This is a good cozy mystery but it has rather too many twists for this genre. It provides some but not all the answers to the questions from book one which leaves plenty of scope for future books. However, the characters are good and Einstein - the human in westie form - is completely and utterly delightful. He is also a great help once he can drag himself away from the water and his pool float. The cover says it all.

Sadly, for me, the appeal of this book is Einstein rather than the storyline. This is only my opinion so if you enjoy a good, quirky, cozy mystery then I suggest you get this book and enjoy.

This second book of the Prediction Murder series is much less intense than the first. There are suggestions of possible confrontations throughout and there is a death of a stranger, but that takes place nowhere near Harper and her friends, and it is solved by the authorities. The random conversations Harper has with Police Chief John about possible scenarios leading to the murder are separate from the actual investigation and did not seem crucial to solving the murder, even with the vague Tarot Cards reading.

I received a free copy of this book for my voluntary honest review. I read this book with constant expectations of some kind of confrontation or evil attack, but the end of the story came first with a cliffhanger. I am not a fan of cliffhangers.

Harper & the CCC go for a vacation only to be embroiled in another murder. Harper learns more about herself & makes a decision that will keep her in Steepwick. The new murder & one murder from the first book gets solved but the death of her cousin does not yet. I think I like her dog companion & protector, Einstein, the most in this series. I received a free copy. This is my unbiased, voluntary review.

Harper is all settled now and running the business. Harper also inherited a spot on the CCC. They have a cold case to solve. Einstein is my favorite character in the book.Grab the book and see what they need to solve.

Hazel has settled a bit more into her new life and seems well-fitted. She's a novice but she's a great thinker, analyzer and really puts in the work, proud of her progress. Mystery solving does some twisting and turning and kept me on my toes. Cozy, magical and warmth of blooming friendship. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

So much for vacation for Harper and her friends. While Harper did grow in knowledge, and we were provided answers to book 1, yet not completely, still to be solved; Hazel's death. Like most Einstein is my fav character in the series. The "human Westie".

Harper and her friends spend time at a B&B to solve a cold case but find themselves with a fresh one to solve, too. Harper draws closer to her spiritual heritage.
