ADDIE
Justin Gentry had always been my best friend and I had always been in love with him.
When our friendship imploded, I was shattered.
Which was how I wound up in the arms of his enemy.
Yet I refuse to have regrets because then I wouldn’t have my daughter.
I’ll hold my head up no matter what and nothing will stop me from giving my little girl the life she deserves.
I thought the last thing I needed to deal with is the return of the inked Marine who was my biggest heartbreak.
But with my daughter in danger, I have little choice but to accept his help.
These days Justin is not only back in town but he’s living in my house, gallantly pretending to be my boyfriend in order to keep us safe.
I told myself I wouldn’t make the same mistake twice.
After all, I should have learned my lesson about the consequences of falling for a Gentry boy.
But the heart doesn’t always listen to reason.
And it seems I’m ready to risk it all again.

JUSTIN
There’s no escaping my last name, not in this town.
Some of us Gentry boys have been villains.
The rest of us choose a different path.
Sometimes it’s a tough legacy and I’ve made my own mistakes.
However, six years in the Marines couldn’t make me forget Astrid Delgado.
Wherever I go, Addie has stayed on my mind.
Now the shy best friend I took for granted has become a stunning woman I can’t look away from.
And there’s nothing I won’t do to protect Addie and her little girl.
I’m willing to break every rule there is.
Until she’s mine.

I absolutely loved this second chance at love and getting it right and founding there happy ending. I was rooting for Justin through this whole book. Six years ago two best friend’s made some mistakes; being on the cusp adulthood as a teenager is very confusing time and it defiantly was for Justin and Addie. Justin made choices thinking he was protecting Addie only for it all to blow up anyway. Fast forward 6 years later. Justin home from the Marine’s and wants to make things right and wants to put himself back in Addie’s space. Addie fiercely protective single mother and doing her best to give her daughter everything she needs. When trouble is at Addie door Justin steps in to protect her and her daughter Addie has to decide if forgiving Justin really worth the risk. I’m leaving so much out because I don’t want to give much away. It’s definitely a must read! I want my own Gentry please!

Astrid “Addie” Delgado and Justin Gentry were best friends growing up until one day everything changed. Now 6 years later he has returned home from the marines and is ready to start life in Emblem again, but is Addie ready to forgive him? He needs a roommate and she needs a little protection….Having to move in and pretend they’re a couple might be more difficult that first thought when old feelings arise. Can Justin do his job and not fall for Addie and her little girl? A great addition to the Gentry Series and a sweet yet emotional friends to lovers, second chance romance. The letter Addie wrote will really tug at your heartstrings and really sets up the feel for this touching romance. Get ready to fall for another Gentry and a cop at that! Told in dual POV

Losing Justin left an enormous hold in Addie's heart and her life but the one saving grace was her daughter Sara who made everything worthwhile. Her need to be cautious is understandable but the feelings she has for him hasn’t diminished over time as he shows her that he is a man that she and her daughter can count on.

Justin made the best choice he could at the time even if it broke both their hearts. Now that he is back, he is determined to show Addie they have always belonged together and become the family they were always destined to be.

Justin is swoony as he fights for the woman he loves while Addie shows how strong she truly is. Captivating characters create an enchanting romance with all the feels.

Gentry Rules

“Because I never wanted you to only feel indebted to me. I wanted you to fall in love with me again.”

I've read a few Gentry books and I've enjoyed them. This one had some special angst. Justin and Addie were best friends but with some mistakes made haven't seen each other in 5 or 6 years. When Justin comes back into town it's a big shock. He wants to repair what was broken. He just needs Addie to give him a chance.

Her daughter was so sweet too. And that ending with the party?! So precious.

I feel like I've visited the Gentry world for years and each visit is better than the last. This was really good examples of best friends to strangers to lovers with the typical CB small town feeling and an obsessed MC and a strong FMC with a corker of a kid. Justin and Addie's story was beautiful from start to finish.

Oh the feels!

I was not prepared for how much I loved this book, or for how hard it hit me in the feels. What a beautiful, painful ride. And an HEA that made it all worth it.

This can totally be read as a stand-alone - honestly, not sure which precious books I’ve read, and it didn’t not take away from this one at all. You just know these Gentry’s are a big complex family.

I love how brilliantly this story was written. We see that Justin and Addie have been best friends since childhood, see their relationship progress as teens and ultimately fall apart his senior year, and now five years later he’s come home to win her back. But it’s written so well that there’s no disconnect in the flashbacks, no drag in time as the story shows us glimpses into their childhood and behind without weighing it down, nor an awkward “jump” as it flashes forward in time. It’s definitely not always written, well, and I very much appreciated that this story was done so well.

The emotions are strong. It’s a reminder to how confusing and difficult those teenage years are to navigate. Being on the cusp of adulthood and trying to be grown, but still not having the maturity of adulthood and life experience behind you. Justin and Addie made some horrible decisions that altered the course of their lives forever. Justin was so set on protecting Addie, so sure he was making the right choice, only for it to blow up sms push her right into the arms of his enemy right in front of him. Broken, Addie reacted in emotional impulse, like most 17 yo so often do. These two had such hard childhoods, such big emotions they couldn’t navigate, and somehow nothing went according to plan.

This was one of my favorite Second Chance trope type stories. Yes, mistakes were made. Yes they were both hurt by those mistakes. But they both endlessly loved the other one. It was easy to believe their reconciliation, for it to not feel forced or fake, because not only was there so much more to their story than the other knew at the time it imploded , but they were also able to look at it now as adults with eyes not clouded by teenage emotions and immaturity. These two always should have been together, but maybe things had to happen the way they did so they could come together as adults. So so good.

Astrid "Addie" Delgado has been in love with her best friend for years, but when they finally kiss... Justin Gentry suddenly wants nothing to do with her...

She's confused, she's heartbroken... and then she finds comfort in someone else's arms...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Gentry Rules was a sweet and heartbreaking, second chance romance! Addie and Justin once shared an unbreakable friendship... until it wasn't. Years later, Addie is a single mom, and Justin has come home from the military... and they haven't seen each other in six long years...
Addie and Justin's story was a true lost love tale, where Addie has moved on with her life, because she absolutely had to... that is, until Justin comes home to Emblem, and everything changes...
I loved Addie, she was a pragmatic, single mother who would do anything for her little girl. And while she made one BIG mistake as a teenager, Addie has never done anything but embrace her life with her daughter.
Justin was young when he left town to join the military, but the years he spent far away, thinking of Addie, did nothing to help him forget the only woman he's ever loved. And now that he's back, he is going to show Addie, and her daughter the kind of affection that they both deserve...
I enjoyed this read, and the second chance romance between Addie and Justin was truly heartfelt. With a little bit of suspense thrown in, this book provided a solid and entertaining story.
I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.
“It’s us now. As it always should have been.”
Gentry Rules was a beautiful, heartbreaking and emotional story of second chances and love and friendship that stands the test of time. Justin and Addie shared an undeniable bond that was shattered on one unforgettable night and soon after Justin left town to join the Marines. Now he has returned and he’s determined to take his rightful place in Addie and her daughter, Sara’s lives.
Addie was a beautiful character. She was such a fiercely protective mother and I loved how she made the best of her circumstances in order to provide a loving home for her daughter. She had always loved Justin, but their relationship had ended in tragedy and pain so she tried to shutter her heart from him. I loved how even though she had been hurt, she also was brave enough to let Justin into her life again.
Justin was an absolute sweetheart with an insanely dirty mouth. He had made mistakes in the past, but once he realized it, he had done everything in his power to make up for them even if it was done secretly. His devotion and protectiveness of Addie and Sara was so sweet and will give you all the feels.
This was such a sweet and heartwarming story that was full of depth and wonderful characters. Justin and Addie have an electric chemistry that leaps off the page. Plus there was also a hint of suspense and drama with heart-pounding moments that leads to a gripping conclusion. Justin, Addie and Sara (plus Lucy) are absolutely adorable and the connection between all of them is deep, true and full of love.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.
This is the story of Addie and Justin. Addie and Justin are best friends and she has always been in love with him. However their friendship doesn't end well at all and it nearly destroys her. However she can't regret that relationship or she would not have her daughter. She is bound and determined to give her baby girl the best life she can possibly have. When her daughter is in danger she can't exactly say that she is sad that Justin now and inked Marine has come back in town. She needs him to protect her daughter and the best way for him to do that is for him to live with her and pretend to be her boyfriend. He on the other hand knows that being back in town and with his last name there is no escaping who he is in this town. The Gentry's are always talked about and not always in the best of ways. Their all thought to be villains by some of them have chosen their own paths in life. and tried to escape that reputation. However, no matter what he has tried to do Addie has never lost left his mind. The last place he ever expected to find himself when he got back to town was living with the best best friend he has ever had and he is more than determined to protect her and her daughter. And then he is going to make her his. I loved this story. I loved the characters and there are moments in this book that will just put the biggest smile on your face. The kids in this book are everything and I loved every second of this book.
Astrid and Justin were best friends growing up. Their last year of high school things changed. Justin pulls away because of his horrible home life and Astrid begins to think he doesn't care for her any more. She sleeps with his enemy, gets pregnant and shuns Justin when he tries to talk to her. Fast forward 6 years later and we find Justin moving back to Emblem after serving his term in the Marines. He becomes a police officer and is intent on getting back into Addie's life. She is not much of an adult about the situation still and tries not to discuss the past. I have to say that I didn't like her or her friend's attitudes towards Justin. He didn't in any way push her into doing what she did. She was the immature one and needed to own that. I felt she owed him a big apoligy, especially in light of what we find out he has been doing for her. She came off as kind of ingrateful and I didn't really care for her. Justin was a stand up guy and did what he said he was going to do. Sara was a shy 5-year-old and Addie didn't seem to know how to help her. Sara's father, Chris, was an absent parent and I was not too thrilled with how Addie tried to still play him up to Sara. The friction with Chris's family was a lot in this book. I wanted more from Addie in protecting her daughter. She set this whole fiasco in motion and she needed to deal with the aftermath. It was not Justin's responsibility to step up the way he did. I didn't really feel she acknowledged that.
"You and me, Addie, Soon. Forever.
Swoon, Swon, Swoon, what isn't there to love about Gentry Rules, I have always adored a Gentry story, those men are hard as nails but they know how to put the S in Swoon, and Justin is a double capital S in this delicious yet tender second chance friends to loversr romance, there is no doubt that Addie and Justin are perfect for each other, but when he left town 5-years ago at 19 he broke his best friend Addie's heart, who had always loved him, but there were reasons why he left and went into the Army, but his heart always remains with Addie, however, his departure drove Addie into the arms of another resulting in adorable 4-year-old Sara who captured my heart and holds a piece of it still, her sweet nature, her beautiful personality made this story an even more compelling read, but now Justin is out of the Army and back in town, with a new job and a determination to show Addie and little Sara that he is here to stay and make them a family.
Cora Brent added some great twists and turns, Addie's ex and his family were always going to be trouble, and the storyline that emerged there again added another side to this must-read.
Cora is back with another signature redemption story, Gentry Rules, a new standalone, single mom, second chance, friends to lovers romance. This is Justin Gentry and Astrid "Addie" Delgado's journey. We first met Justin and Astrid in the book Landon (Ruins of Eblem series and Justin's older brother).
Justin has grown up so much the last several years. He went from an angry, rebellious, neglected teenager to a strong, ambitious, and attentive man. He's lucky enough to have had some guidance from his brother, and cousins who have shown him the importance of family and what a family should be and how a man should act. And of course the Marines helped mold and shape him too.
Astrid was selfless, caring, and compassionate. She lacks family and doesn't have much of a support system, but has made a happy and loving life with her daughter. She's hard working, intelligent and a good mother. She's an all around class act in my opinion.
We get some guest appearances from some of our favorite Gentry's that we know and love. Some adorable moments with the kids, steamy moments between Justin and Addie, and of course a lot of emotional elements. I always love me some Gentry's. Looking forward to the next one!
Justin and Astrid’s story was good. They were best friends growing up and she had a crush on him. She wanted more and even though he started seeing her differently, he didn’t want to ruin their friendship. At some point he became distant and stopped talking to her. She got angry and heard rumors about him with other girls, then she ended up being intimate with a bad boy who was Justin’s enemy and got pregnant. The reason Justin grew distant from Astrid was because his Dad was a bad influence on him and got him into drugs. He decided to enlist in the Marines and served a couple of tours. He then decides to come back to town. Astrid is now a single mother to a very sensitive 5 year old daughter. Her grandmother that raised her died and she inherited the house. She works as an Event Planner at a winery. Justin is now a member of Emblem police department. Astrid’s daughter’s father, Chris is still bad news with an even worse family. Astrid was told that Chris had a tab at the mart that Astrid shops that he pays for her groceries and things for the daughter. It ended up being Justin who paid for everything. Chris eventually gives up parental rights and Astrid and Justin get married. I had not read this author in a while and earlier books I enjoyed more.
Such a beautiful story of how the actions from high school can trigger the future you might not ever have imagined for yourself and yet you wouldn’t change a thing.
Astrid could never regret her teen actions, especially as the result was her beautiful daughter, but what she has learned is that some things are just not worth getting bent out of shape over….especially when there are more important things to be worried about. I loved this attitude and her acceptance of her life, her willingness to forgive and her desire to make the most of everything makes her such a lovely character.
Justin has regrets from his teen years, if not for his older brother he would not have had the successful military career he’s had nor had the means to leave, make something of himself and then be-able to head back to Emblem. A journey with one goal…to right his greatest wrong, his biggest regret….losing his best friend Addie.
Such a lovely story of second chances, realistic hopes and a beautiful family.
With some edge of your seat drama, well placed intimacy and heart warming moments. I really enjoyed this standalone within the Gentry family.
Gentry Rules is the emotional and beautiful story of Justin and Addie. It's set in the wonderful world of The Gentrys, one of my absolute favourite fictional families EVER!!
This story packs in all the feels, Justin and Addie were childhood best friends, but then everything changed, Justin left to become a Marine and left Addie heartbroken. When he returns years later he never forgot the girl he left behind and now he will do anything to make her his.
I loved Addie straight away, she's a strong, kind and fiercely independent single mother to little Sara who melted my heart with her little sidekick Jones, so sweet.
Justin is such an amazing guy, the Gentry men really are a special breed. They are protectors and providers through and through. Heroes with big hearts, they fight for what they want and they're willing to play dirty to get it.
Loved this story and I couldn't put it down, it was heart warming, full of angst, drama, passion and romance. The chemistry between Justin and Addie is smoking hot, Justin is a real dirty talker who delivers on his promises. 😉
I enjoyed all the little moments with rest of the Gentry clan too, these Gentry's really do Rule. ❤
Justin Gentry may have just taken the spot for my favorite Gentry. While he may seem a little rough around the edges, he has a heart of gold much like the rest of those Gentry boys we know and love so much. Justin and Addie were best friends most of their life. Until one night their friendship imploded. Addie was left to deal with the aftermath while Justin went off and joined the Marines. Addie never regretted that night because it gave her Sara, but she also never got over the loss of her friendship with Justin.
Justin comes back to town and wastes no time at all putting himself back in Addie's space. He is determined to show her that they are meant to be together. I loved them together so much. Not only was he great for Addie, he was so good to Sara. It showed Addie what they were missing in their lives. He proved that he was always for her, even when they were on the outs and not speaking.
I loved going back to Emblem and getting an update on some of my favorite Gentry's. This story was filled with so much love but also a good kick of action and some suspense as well. I loved every single second of this story and I wish there was more of it!!!
Review:
The first book I ever read by Cora Brent was the OG Gentry's boxset, and I've been in love ever since. I know anytime I pick up one of her books, I'm going to be immersed for hours. Her heros are always protective of their women and the ultimate alphas.
Justin Gentry has just been discharged from the Marines after 6 years. He is back in Emblem to win the heart of his best friend Addie. To prove that they are meant to be together.
Addie got pregnant in high school with her 5 year old daughter Sara. Her daughter is her whole world. When the Frisco's threaten to take custody of Sara, Justin moves into her spare room.
Justin & Sara are so cute together. She needed a daddy to step up and be present in her life, to love her like she deserves.
Justin & Addie are explosive together!!!
I’m conflicted about this book. I loveee the Gentry’s and have read all their books but this one just feels average and very forgettable.
The story is about Addie and Justin, they were best friends growing up in Emblem and in high school something happened in Justin’s life where he started ignoring Addie. This broke her heart since she was in love with him and led he to have one night stand with the town asshole: Chris and getting pregnant with his baby at 17 year old.
Justin’s goes to the Marine Corps and six years later he comes back with the hopes of reconciling with Addie and get to know Sara; her daughter.
For me it was just an okay read. It just reminds me why second-chance romances are not really my thing; the reason why he stopped speaking to her was stupid. This all could’ve been a conversation, but instead he pushed her away and treated her horribly for what?
I actually really liked her daughter Sara, it felt like she was an actual character in the story and not just thrown there.
But still, I don’t think this is a romance that I’ll come back to read. It was just okay.
Enthralled. Thats the word i would use to describe how i felt about this book. Honestly i was reading something else when i got this. Ususlly i have to finish what i'm on before starting something else. I got it. I thought i'd just have a sneek peek see whats going on. Never put it back down 😂
Loved every second of it. The title says it all, Gentry rules! Oh yes, they definately do!
Addie, strong single mom, whats not to love about that?! Strong, independant, sweet, i adored her! And sweetie pie Sara was just adorable, i loved seeing her grow in amongst the Gentry family.
I was also, of course, enamoured with Justin. He's all you want in a hero. Sexy, sweet, loyal, humble, protective, gah! That Gentry stock sure is a good one!
The story kept me right there with them. Seeing them battle for not only themselves but for the family they were meant to be was just amazing. Loved the suspense in this one, i was just waiting and guessing all through.
It was also fantastic to see some previous couples and our main daddy Deck! Love em all!
Fantastic as always! Just love this family and i can't wait for more more more! Not sure there will ever be enough books to satisfy my need 😂
Highly recommend!
I have always enjoyed the Gentry books - from the start of them to this current generation and this one is no exception. This book is a friends to lovers and a second chance for Justin and Astrid.
In this return to Emblem - the troubled starting place of the original Gentry's, we have Justin who has just returned from serving in the Marine Corp to become a police officer to this troubled town. Upon his return he has decided that he is going to go after his first love - Astrid aka Addie. In the meantime, Addie is a single mother who has trouble enter her life and Justin is the one that comes to her aide - her once best friend.
Both characters were well written and relatable. Their story moved along well and kept me interested throughout and that is before we discuss the chemistry and interactions between the characters.
Can this pair overcome the mistakes of their past? Will the trouble in Emblem be too much for these two strong characters? Stay tuned to this latest installment in the amazing series.
Perfection!!!!!
Wow. Just simply….WOW.
Cora Brent is one of my favorite authors so I shouldn’t be surprised when I finish one of her books and am just struck by how amazing the story is but yet, every time I finish a story - I’m left with that feeling.
Addie and Justin have a very long road to find their HEA. But my goodness is it a good story and even better & satisfying HEA. You’ll experience heartbreak, mystery, intrigue, laughter, excitement and most of all, love. A kind of love that is all encompassing and can withstand anything because it has deep roots.
We also get to spend some time with dear old friends in Emblem and with the extended Gentry family.
These books stay with you. The characters come to life. Even in the large extended Gentry universe, you know who everyone is immediately because they feel like real people.
I cannot express how much I loved this book. I don’t know why Amazon doesn’t let me leave 100 stars. I’m looking forward to more adventures in Emblem!!!!
Addie and Justin’s tale is a beautiful addition to one of my favorite book families. The Gentry’s always have me at hello. I always know going in that I will become an emotional mess as travel down the story’s telling. This one is no different. Eek.
After reading the initial four books in this series I know any future books I need to plan for a story about young love with multiple twists and turns. This always author always tackles challenging topics that typically revolve around poverty, abuse, and abandonment. Sob. Having said that Ms Brent writes characters that find good people as support systems and have a tenacity which helps them rise above hardships.
In this book we get childhood best friends who wind up not seeing each other for several years. Our Gentry son Justin joins the service and our heroine Addie has a baby with someone else. Does it sound messy? It is… SOOOO GOOD.
YIKES I want to recap the entire story but I won’t. I will say one last thing. You will be impressed with the awesome kids in the book and all the cameos from my beloved Gentry’s have me swooning. Ok enough said.
Happy Reading Everyone! XOXO
I did not know how much I needed Addie and Justin's story until I was so engrossed in it that I didn't want to stop reading! The perfect combination of danger, suspense, romance, drama and insanely dysfunctional family made this book so exciting to read. I always loved the Gentry boys' stories, and having read them all before made this cousin's book even more special as so many of the past characters are featured and lend a hand in helping Addie and Justin get their HEA. There was as much steam as there were adorable children who interacted and brought the families closer together. Past relationships from high school rivals were mended and became healthy memories instead of just more teenage angst that leads to angry adults. I always love to read new books by this author and am always pleased with the results of her work, but I especially fell in love with Gentry Rules and am so thrilled I got to experience it.
Cora Brent has absolutely blown me away once again with another phenomenal Story With Justin Gentry And Astrid aka Addie Delgado in Gentry Rules. Justin and Astrid where best friends growing up until something happened on Graduation night and then everything changed and Justin left for the Marines. Now he is back and working for the Emblem PD and He is going after his first snd only love Addie,but will she be able to forgive and forget the past? Or will the Frisco clan finally get their revenge on the Gentrys ? This book is about second chances for love and enemies to lovers romance. It's compelling and captivating and heartbreaking and learning to forgive and forget and find love all over again. I throughly enjoyed this book and it's also will have you enthralled from the first page until the last page. It's a book hangover story as well. I can't express how I'm reeling after reading it because I'm still choked up over it. Cora Brent you absolutely blew me away.
If you have never had the pleasure of making the acquaintance of a Gentry Boy, you are tragically missing out and I highly recommend that you rectify that ASAP! A great place to start would be right here with Justin and Addie's story. Oh, the things these two will do to your heart. As you dive in and begin to read that prologue you will find yourself completely captivated as your heartstrings get very firmly tied up in knots, and a huge lump forms in your throat. Yeah, this romance will definitely have you all up in your feels as it leaves you swooning. Justin, Addie and Addie's daughter Sara quickly and easily steal your heart and their story is an incredible blend of intense emotions, rich drama, lush heat, decadent sweetness, tantalizing twists, pulse-pounding action, and sharp poignancy that is absolutely irresistible.
Justin and Addie were best friends, but she always loved him, but when their friendship imploded, he left town, leaving her with a broken heart. Now Addie is the single mom to an adorable 4-year-old Sara, who she will understandable do anything to protect. Justin returns home after serving in the marines, and when Sara is in danger, he moves in with Addie to protect and keep them both safe.
This is a beautifully written story which is an easy to read, friends / lovers, emotional roller coaster, with family, friendships, consequences, witty banter, humor, a fake relationship, danger, suspense, intrigue, second chances, and love, which leads to an entertaining, tragic, twisted, unpredictable, and steamy small-town romance.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
Gentry Rules was a second chance at friendship and romance. Justin and Addie stole my heart from the very first moment. You could feel the connection radiate between these two and also the hurt that stood between them. Justin was a man who had made many mistakes as a teenage boy, ones that he would regret forever, however this marine was ready to show that he had never forgotten her and that she had always been his. Addie was a strong single mum with the most beautiful little girl and her love for her daughter shone bright. This story is filled with drama, family, secrets and a love that has stood the test of time. Justin, Addie and Sara will wrap themselves easily around your heart and you will find it hard to put these book down.
There’s nothing I can say more than I’ve already said about Cora Brent’s writing of the Gentry family! They are one of my absolute favourite families that’s been written.
With every book release, there’s that special something that brings the warmest feelings when getting to know a new member of the family, and Justin was no exception!
Going back from the days when Justin and Addie knew each other and spent so much time together a divide eventually came between them and would cause them to not speak for years.
But when Emblem is where both of them are for the first time in a long time, it’s time for both of them to face the history they both can’t let go.
Another fabulous book for the wonderful Cora 😍
4.5 Justin Gentry Rules Stars!
This guy, could there be anyone better than him to make the Gentry name shine? Justin has certainly grown up and proved himself worthy of forgiveness and the happiness he deserves. I was drawn in from the jump, the characters were relatable and easy to love. Addie's story tug at my heartstrings; to see her be in control, work hard and being an amazing mom made me feel so proud of her. Let's not forget the show stealer, Sara ~ she was the sweetest little girl, it was so nice to see her coming out of her shell. The loyal, supportive Gentry family also deserves a shout-out! There was nothing I disliked about this book, besides a character or four....
Every time I sink into the Gentry world, it's like being snuggled up in my favorite blanket, and surrounded by all the people and things I adore most. The next gen characters bring all the swoon and spiciness and made me fall so hard and fast, especially for Justin. He's so sweet, fierce, and protective, and it only makes him all the hotter! Addie and her daughter melted my heart along with all the well known and loved past favorites of mine. Sometimes rough around the edges, the Gentry family continues to show up for one another, standing tall no matter what is thrown their way. It was so great to be immersed in their world again, and I'm excited for more.
