Very nice!

Volume 12 took me back to the first couple of volumes of Goblin Slayer. It's pretty straight forward, there's a mission, gather information, kill goblins, celebrate. It was a fun read, with tons of action and an interest reveal at the end of the volume that was cool.

The Priestess got some good character development, i already knew she's capable but it was refreshing to see her in a "new role". The wizard boy also seems interesting, i hope he gets more to do in the future.

Overall: Super fun volume.

Non so quanti mesi siano passati dalla lettura del volume 11, ma è finalmente giunto il momento di tornare alle avventure dell'ammazzagoblin numero uno e dei suoi compagni. Questa volta a guidare il team sarà la piccola sacerdotessa - in moda da aiutarla a ottenere la tanto agognata promozione -, con l'aggiunta di un ragazzino alle prime armi, che finirà per combinare un casino. Il problema di fondo è sempre lo stesso: gli avventurieri tendono a sottovalutare i goblin, bollati come esserini schifosi senza cervello. La verità è che, come hanno potuto constatare Goblin Slayer e compagnia, i goblin si stanno facendo sempre più furbi e infami. Ergo, mai entrare nelle loro tane senza un piano preciso, altrimenti il rischio di fare una brutta fine è dietro l'angolo. A peggiorare le cose, almeno a livello emotivo, per il ragazzino, c'è il fatto che la sorella maggiore è stata uccisa proprio dai goblin - cosa che colpisce il nostro protagonista, visto che anche lui ha vissuto la stessa traumatica esperienza.

Per il resto, vediamo dei piccoli segnali di crescita nel nostro sterminatore di goblin preferito - si è trovato una squadra che lo supporta totalmente, ha un harem di spasimanti in costante ampliamento (certo, resta da capire se lui ne è consapevole oppure no, e temo che la risposta sia negativa), ha cominciato ad avere dei contatti con gli altri avventurieri (è stato pure invitato a farsi una bella bevuta), sta aiutando, a modo suo, ad addestrare i neofiti nel nuovo centro di addestramento. Per essere uno a cui piace stare da solo direi che ormai si è costruito un giro di amicizie/contatti di tutto rispetto.
