To become a Queen, Freya has to give up everything....
There's only one way to become an immortal, and that is to take up the mantle of everything that she is not. To become fae. To lead a court. To become the Autumn Thief herself.

But Freya's life isn't that easy to change. She is thrust into a series of trials held by old gods who have seen a thousand years pass. She must impress them, or suffer the consequences.

With the Goblin King at her side, Freya must give up everything to become something wholly new.

An Autumn Thief.

The stunning conclusion in this five book series for fans of the Labyrinth and Sarah J Maas!

bro how was this the end of this series? literally so many unanswered questions like why tf does freya's mother hate faeries so much, despite her husband being a changeling? who tf is the goblin king--like how did he get his powers? IDK BRO for a 5 book series, i would've expected some of these more basic elements to be covered. it was a quick read, and i needed something to breeze through--which this provided, but like, i'd never read this again nor would i recommend this series to anyone, UNLESS they were solely looking for some quick entertainment.

also, why were the romantic scenes written so awkwardly LMAO

It’s been a while since I’ve binged a series like this and it was so fun just devouring all of these books. All of these read super quick and the world was so fun and magical. This was a great end to the series and was so sweet.

3.5 for the series overall and this book.

Now, I'm aware this is unabashedly an episodic soap put in book form. But I still can't help wishing this story and the characters (excluding Freya, depending on the book) were more fleshed out. I loved the ideas presented not only in this book, but the whole series:

*There's real burden to being the hero; Freya deals with imposter syndrome, and living in the past shadow of heroic deeds/adventures and worries if settling into domesticity will end up making either her or Eldridge unhappy.
*This book has Freya meeting Death and anxiety personified (the creatures who set the trials for becoming the Autumn Thief act as intrusive thoughts that Freya has to shake off). Death in particular asking Freya to sacrifice herself was oddly powerful; Freya had a hard time coming to that conclusion, having to reiterate what each challenge/person meant in the long run. Death even becomes exasperated with holding her hand to get to the end goal. But he asks her to trade her past self, and in turn mute the memories that cause her pain. It's sort of akin to the suitcase mentality of life: take what's necessary, the things that serve you in terms of growth/happiness, and leave the rest; you only have so much room in the bag.
*Death is almost like Hades, in that his name inspires fear, but his deals are actually quite justified.
*Freya getting her dream in the end: way back in book one, she laments on actually wanting a man who loves her/having children of her own to combat her loneliness. But she's convinced no mortal man would want her. Freya actually spends most of her trials in early pregnancy and gets to marry Eldridge in the end, a man who had to grow alongside her.
*Eldridge morphing from alpha hole to cinnamon roll by book's end.
*Also, Eldridge being part owl reminded me of two things:
1.Yet another Labyrinth (1986) ref. where that Goblin King spies on Sara in owl form/flies away at the end.
2.Pana netvor (1979) a Czech BATB film where our beast/prince resembles a molting bird in beastly form.
*Freya thanking Arrow for his friendship throughout the series. I love that little dog.

But... the books were way to short. In fact, this one was probably the shortest. The elements were there, but the writing/world-building needs work. For instance, Eldridge's literal mother and sister were not only revealed, but revealed in their owl forms. Sure, Freya is told by her to-be MIL that Freya's pregnant, but then she literally throws Freya from her realm with little regard to either her son and his pregnant fiancé. And we never see either of them, nor does Eldridge react much beyond Freya seeing him in owl/man form. This series had so much potential to be five star, but I didn't love or hate it, so it's a three for me.

Of Goblins and Gold was the first book I've ever read by Emma Hamm, I find the book totally by accident and I'm so glad that I did. The Of Goblins Kings series is truly a work of art, a magical fairytale that transported me to another place filled with magic and memorable characters. Of Fairytales and Magic is the fifth and final book in the series and it was glorious, Emma has done a fantastic job with the series and gave me an ending that made my heart happy.

Freya and Eldridge have been through a lot, overcoming all that they knew, hunting down missing family members, confronting court leaders, helping with issues all over faerie, and now they are up for their biggest challenge yet. For Freya to become immortal, for her to become the Autumn Theif she must face down the old gods, those who came even before the fae if she wants her title, and Eldrige and Arrow is going to be right by her side through this one last adventure.

Freya once again jumps into an adventure without really thinking it all the way through, she sees the opportunity to be with Eldridge forever and she decided to take something she wanted for once in her life. Freya is strong and smart and is willing to learn, to change, to grow and that is something the fae could use a little of but Freya is also wise at times and cares with her whole heart she would make a great court leader. Freya is tested by some very scary creatures but she doesn't let fear stop her, Freya is willing to tell it how it is so no other will get hurt and Eldridge is right there by her side worrying so very much. The love between the two of them is world-changing and it's was never clearer than in this book. Seriously they made me laugh and swoon. Eldridge and Freya are partners, always willing to protect each other, help each other, and no matter what love each other. I love them so much.

Once again the plot was filled with magic and adventure, Freya has to pass three trials and they take her to different realms, more characters are revealed, and once again it's revealed that Eldridge has been keeping things from Freya, nothing bad, no dramatic fights (Freya actually has a level head in this one) but information is revealed that had my jaw-dropping. I loved learning about the old gods and the history of the fae. How they came to be, what they have as the closest thing to religion, how their governing powers work in better detail, and all of that. Not to mention the characters that make one last appearance, it was a great goodbye to them all.

Of Fairytales and Magic is the fantastic conclusion in such an epic series, filled with magic, love, ancient beings, fae history, a deeper understanding of what the fae are and so much more. I loved every moment of all the adventures with Freya, Eldridge, and the others. They are going to be missed but it looks like not for long because a spin-off series is in the works so hopefully, I will get more of the characters that I have come to love.

Of Fairytales and Magic by Emma Hamm is the fifth and last book in the Of Goblin Kings series. I have enjoyed this series immensely and I'm a huge fan of the 1986 movie Labyrinth which this series makes obvious nods too.
Freya is at it again making an impulsive choice when faced with her sick friends dilemma. She agrees to become the Autumn thief at great cost to her and Eldridge.
I liked the character growth Freya shows in this especially at the end.
There is a nod to my favorite scene when she's facing the Horned God that reminded me of another 80's fantasy movie as well.
This installment felt really short and made me wonder why I hadn't started it sooner

(Received an ARC from Emma Hamm - might contain small spoilers to the series)

ROLLER COASTER!!! Of emotions!!!
The story picks up where we ended with The Autumn Thief at the Goblin Kings castle, on the brink of death, but from what? Why did she portal to Freya and Eldridge bleeding and dying?

Well, the Thief (which we learn her true name - but I won’t steal the fun of you learning it ) she does it for many reasons, one has to do with helping Freya which extended to Eldridge, but the most is to save her kingdom from being passed to someone less worthy of the title AUTUMN THIEF. Freya only wanting to help does something that takes her on one more wild adventure in the Fae realm, and takes us to the Autumn Court (soo excited to be there, just sad we didn’t get to explore it as much as the other ones).

What adventures you might be asking is there left for Freya to do after being: the Queen Killer, Defeated the Goblin King (and winning his heart), made the forest give a spoiled Elf another chance and the ocean slowing time, outsmarting the Spring Maiden, finding both her parents and her sister (I don’t know about you - but I’d be asking for a vacation). But, her next adventure makes her look at herself and her herself worth in the Fae realm.

Going through a couple of the challenges with her was sooo hard (especially when she finds out something special) that my heart hurt. I had to make sure before I continued that something really bad didn’t happen (when you know you know) and it didn’t so I could continue.

The author brought tears to my eyes with, sometimes you need to let go of your past self (as it might be holding you back) to appreciate and see how bright your future can be with the ones that you love at your side.

As always, her trusty friend Arrow is there to try and keep her in line (good luck Arrow as always), give advice and always complain about his clothes getting dirty.

I loved this series soo much. I loved being able to follow Freya become soo much more than the scared of Goblin Magic to something otherworldly. I loved watching Eldridge become more the Goblin King that he needs to be and the man he is with Freya at his side (along with still being that man that tricked her many months ago). I thank the author Emma for giving me access to the arcs and for letting me message her as I read it (I hope she liked being along for my emotional ride). I am sad to see Freya and Eldridge story end, but you can only picture that they will have an amazing life together ruling the Goblins/Fae/Pixies/Elves and watch as other adventures come their way.

2.5/5

A nice little wrap-up of the series. I enjoyed this one more because the quest felt more structured and there was some nice imagery. It was still iffy in how little substance there was, at the end of the day, and I'm a little sick and tired of how in every book Freya and Eldridge argue about her running into danger and him being annoyed about it but her ultimately getting her way. It's the same reused conflict that got old really fast but alas. Some of the worldbuilding elements were questionable (e.g. since when did Freya read the bible enough to remember very specific Old Testament stories? Isn't she basically a pagan girl?) but I've made my peace. I guess.

**𝐈 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐑𝐂 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐛𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫 𝐯𝐢𝐚 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐬𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐭. 𝐌𝐲 𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐦𝐲 𝐨𝐰𝐧. 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐄𝐦𝐦𝐚 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐦𝐞.**

Actually, I've known of Emma's books for quite a while, but never ventured reading any of them, although all her series call to me because of the amazing covers and the plot.

I've been following this series from her instagram page when book three, 𝐎𝐟 𝐏𝐢𝐱𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐬, was about to come out, and since I knew the books were coming out as fast release I decided to wait until the last one was published so I could read them all in one go, and then I saw the author was giving ARCs of the fifth and finall book of 𝐎𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬, 𝐎𝐟 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐜, and I couldn't resist it, I kindly received the ARC and pre - orderer the book as well (now out in the world), because supporting indie authors is very important.

Where do I start first? I haven't read any books that features goblings, and for some reason I thought they were like the fae...let me tell you, they're not. Just as dangerous and charming as the fae, but I like goblings better because fae are becoming too repetitive for me.

I don't want to say much about what the book is about, since it's the last one in the series and it's so worth it that you visit the universe and meet the character from the start. You won't regret it. These five books are filled with lovable and hateful characters, family bonds, love, acceptance, betrayal, sacrifice, turns and turns you don't see before you have them right in front of you and leave you with your head spinning...I did feared for the ending, but as the saying goes "the calm after the storm."

I wish I could read this series all over again, and grow along with Feyra, our main protagonist, who hated goblings and their magic with fiery passion, who starts out as an elder sister just trying to save the younger one and ends up...well, give the books a chance and find it out. ;)

This read is one that sticks with you long after you finish it. It's a bittersweet ending, where the final loops are tied up, and after suffering with the characters...each one of them gets what they deserve. But it's not over! I read that the author may expand this universe with other characters, which I hope she does, first because her writing style is impeccable, it sucks you in from the first line and it doesn't let you go. It's fast paced, but not rushed, never rushed, fast paced meaning that action awaits in the next page. It takes hold of your heart and feelings and squeezes them until the moment is over leaving you with two choices: crying tears of joy or of pain.

If you're on a reading slump, or having a rough time, I highly recommend reading this series, as I said before, you won't regret it. Personally, I can't wait to discover what else awaits me in other of the author's books.

Next up from the author is 𝗕𝗹𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀, first book in the 𝗢𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗨𝗽𝗼𝗻 𝗮 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 trilogy. It releases this September and it features vampires, werewolves, monsters (duh) three sisters, magic...all the good stuff. And it's up for pre - order. I know I'm getting my own copy right now.

Have a wonderful day and take care. You are loved, and you're great. ❤️

I never wanted the fairytale to end. I loved Freya and Eldridge's story so much! Through all five books these two and their merry band of friends and foes kept me entertained and enthralled. From the first book to this last one Emma Hamm spun a weave that both enchanting and unique, beautiful and terrifying, adventurous and romantic. and at times truly laugh out loud humorous (thanks Arrow!!).
It has been my pleasure and my joy to be allowed to join them on this epic tale. I really, really didn't want it to end. This was escapism as it's finest. Just enough nostalgia for all of us grown ups who fell in love with the Goblin King when we were young and impressionable kids with enough new enchantment for all the new readers to keep the tale fresh and unique. My hats off to Emma Hamm on a tale well told.
The pacing of the story over the five books was just right with each book highlighting a different aspect of the Fae realms and each Fae Court with the culmination being the Goblin Court and the Autumn Thief.
Hold onto your horses for this one! I confess I was most looking forward to reading this last one BECAUSE of the Autumn Thief! Throughout all the previous four books the Autumn Thief has been shrouded in the most mystery and the most intrigue. The Goblin Court itself has been the subject of the most gossip so OF COURSE, I need to hear ALL THE TEA!!!! Well, you are going to get all the tea pipping hot! In Book Five of this series! So buckle up buttercups because this last book makes all those others look child's play!
This isn't just an epic conclusion to a five part series. It's THE epic conclusion to an EPIC story!

Awe struck, amazing read

What an amazing series to read! It radiates so much love and wonder that you can't help but wish this world exists. The chemistry between Freya and Eldridge was a slow burn at first. But once it caught on, just like a flame it will engulf you and leave you burning from all the desire and love they have for each other. You cannot help but yearn for what they have into your own life. This series is one of my favorite love stories to read thus far.

Though I do have a confession to make. I've started reading the beginning of this series when it first came out and was absolutely hooked. I read it so quick that I had to wait for the next book to be published. This was 2 years ago. Ever since then, life happened. Like life-altering events happened and I didn't have the time or energy to read anymore. But I never forgot how beautiful this book was. It was pushed to the back my mind like the back burner. It has never been forgotten, but it never had a chance to appear. Today, I am not sure what prompt me to pick up this series again, but I'm so glad I did. I nearly forgotten how magical this story made me feel. So, after 2 long long years, I had finally finished this series.

If you are intimidated by the length of this book series, don't be! Each book is relatively short and can definitely be finished in one day. Even though there are a lot of repetition in the plot, each book has its own adventures and you can't help but wonder how our heroine will navigate through these trials and tribulations. Definitely give this book series a read

A brilliant ending to a brilliant series.....but we all know I would never say no to any future books.

I actually have no qualms with this ending. Normally, especially with romance books, I always have something to say about what I wish the author would have given us more of or complain we didn't get to see enough of life after the final quest. And where I would have loved to see Freya and Eldridge pre-last chapter (I won't say anything about their life there, that would be no fun) the ending we did get surpassed what I have gotten from all other romance reads so I would never dock points for that. Unfortunately, books do have to end at some point after all.

And oh gosh, I thought I loved the quests in the first four books but the trials Freya went through here had me GOING. I was page turning like a crazy person and I couldn't put the book down until I had actually reached the ending. I was completely sucked in.

Watching Freya and Eldridge grow together and grow as people has to be one of my main highlights for this book and this series as a whole. They push each other to do better while also realizing when the other needs support. They do not let each other say in blissful comfort at the expense of others but also give each other strength. This series may be ending, but I know they have a wonderful life ahead of them, and so do their kingdoms.

Pros: This was a fairly satisfying ending to this series. I did like Freya, Eldridge, Arrow and the world. The editing was very good.

he cons: the themes all seemed to be similar in prior books, just the fairy court changed, so it drug on a bit for me after the first couple of books (which I really enjoyed). This one was a bit different with the trials that Freya went through, so that was a plus. Also, for a Goblin King, supposedly the most powerful being in the world of the fae, Eldridge seemed pretty helpless after the first couple of books.

The only really annoying thing in this particular book, was how much Freya loves Eldridge and wants to be with him forever being repeated over and over and over . . . just about every page. We get it and we get why she's doing what she's doing. Overall, I give this series a solid 3.5 stars the first two books were very good and the lead in to this series, the Stolen Goblin Bride, from the Stolen Brides of the Fae series, was good enough to hook me into this series. It is an enchanting, but sometimes dark world with a very strong female lead character and some interesting secondary characters.

This wonderful whimsical tale just pulls you right in and doesn't let you go. I just wish that I could live in that magical, amazing and diverse faerie world. I adore Eldridge and Freya, they are one of my favourite couples. The trials that they have gone through from their first meeting to the hardest one here at the end. Before the magic can destroy the Autmn Thief, Freya must herself steal the magic. It sets her on the path of no return one that Eldrige would have faced sooner rather than later as his love is mortal. Should Freya survive the magic she has a chance to become fae and survive all the ages with her Goblin King and be right at his side always. However should she fail she will lose all that she could ever have wanted and does want to have, a simple wish too no treasure or power, just to be with Eldridge.
These are hauntingly good books. I have said it before and will bore you again with it, they truly remind me of the magic of old Grimm fairy stories. Ones I will re-read many times.

"The old gods have no idea what woman is coming to greet them, and if they did, then they’d all be blindly running for the hills.”

It was a lovely conclusion. A wonderful happily ever after.

It was nice learning a little more about Eldridge's past and family- but as always, I wish there had been more. I feel like Eldridge's character development stopped at book 2 and after that he just became this rather flat character symbolizing perfect/ideal love. I feel like the author is good at coming up with supporting characters/enemies, but not very good at developing them past that. The main character, however, was wonderfully developed. I loved how the trials changed her.

I had a stupid grin on my face reading the ending of this book- really gave me everything I wanted in an ending. The sacrifices made during the trial felt like actual sacrifices, which made it feel more real when she passed the trials- something that was going to follow her forever. Very good book.

5 freaking stars

This book made me so emotional. As a reader who detested the first book, I am surprised at how much I have come to love the series.

The love between Eldridge and Freya was so pure. The devotion, the loyalty. It is something I can only dream of.

Finding out that Eldridge had a ghastly appearance as an owl creature unsettled me for only a few pages. After that, I just couldn’t help but love Eldridge even more when he was in his original form.

I was surprised at how much I loved Death. He was the most feared, so I naturally expected him to make Freya sacrifice their baby or maybe even Arrow. But he was like a wise grandpa, one who was very fond of Freya.

I am glad to see Freya, Eldridge, and Fiona in their ever after! I hope Arrow’s unfailing loyalty to Freya was highlighted more in this book, but I am also already contented with his scenes in the 3rd book when they were at the cave.

Satisfying Ending

Overall this series was definitely unique. I'm impressed by the writer's building of the faery realm. It definitely stands alone amongst all the others that I've read about.

However I feel like the books lacked depth. There were quite a few things that could have been delved into deeper, that were either never addressed, or only very lightly addressed. For instance, at the beginning of the first book, Arrow hated Eldridge. During the entire series, we never learned what happened to his family, or how he got past his hatred. I found myself wishing that the books were longer so that the author could have gone deeper into the thoughts, feelings, and backgrounds of the characters.

The series was worth reading, and had the expected HEA ending, but unfortunately won't make my favorites list.

"The crimson leaves rained down on her shoulders, gently tangling in her hair and smoothing down her shoulders. As though death was trying to comfort her."

You know the feeling you get when you finish Kingdom of Ash? This felt almost as good as that. I've lived a thousand lives between these pages. I've been Arrow bringing Freya tea in Lark's recovery room. I've been Eldridge as his true nature was revealed. I've been Freya as she

This series has made me appreciate nature and the seasons as the living beings they are, full of great mystery and power. It made me hold my love closer in the darkest nights. It's made me see that goblins are not to be feared, but appreciated.

I'm afraid to hit post on this review. I'm afraid to close the book. I never want it to end.

Disclaimer: I listened to the audio book so any spelling errors, please correct or forgive

I'm torn between whether the first or last book of this series is my favorite. On one hand, this book is a perfect ending to the story, but we wouldn't have it without the first book which is also great!

I was worried when Arrow said he would join for the trial with Death - assuming Freya would have to sacrifice a loved one and he'd sacrifice himself. but Death's actual trial and conversation was much better than I could have guessed! And I love that even when she wakes up/ is "reborn", she's still missing her finger. I didn't catch if they said which creature outright - but I love that the Autumn Thief has attributes of a creature that represents them. And Freya receiving dragon features is absolutely amazing.

The ending and epilogue were absolutely adorable too

Wow! What a perfect finally to "Of Goblin King's" Ms. Hamm pored her heart and soul into this last book "of Fairytales and Magic", I feel as if we are also getting a peek into her life. The Autumn Thief wants to help Freya become immortal but there is a price to pay. The story is deep and intricately layered with love, intensity, fear and sacrifice. I felt as if a was reading an ancient mythic saga. One chapter towards the end even draws on ancient teachings from mystical eastern beliefs. For me it was a blend of profound, magical and beautiful story telling. If you enjoyed the series so far this is icing on the cake.

I am both extremely happy, but also very sad. This is the final book in this series, or at least it's the end of Freya and Eldridge's story. This book was by far the most intense and gut wrenching of the five, the storyline continues from where it left off in book 4. The story is so good it had me in tears several times, and doubled over laughing other times. The characters have become almost like real friends, I have grown very attached to them. This labyrinth retelling is a story I will always treasure and hold very close to my heart, because the labyrinth is my all time favourite. This blew that right out the window, which is hard to believe but true, Emma Hamm brought this to a whole new level of amazing.

The series Of Goblin Kings is most definitely one of them. I cannot imagine any way it could have come to a close other than it did through Of Fairytales and Magic.

What would you do for Love? What would you do for Forever? Freya and Eldridge have to answer this question now or risk losing each other and all they have dreamed together.

The Autumn Thief is wounded and possibly dying. The Goblin Kingdom needs a leader. Once again Freya, Eldridge, and Arrow must travel to the Autumn Court and protect its people. This time it seems unlikely they will return safely together, or perhaps at all.

Read this book. Read this series. Read it all again. Read Emma Hamm.

Better

When I started this series, I knew it was geared more towards teens and twenty somethings. So someone my age probably wouldn't enjoy it. Yet, the book covers said to read it anyway. Its only been the last two years that I started reading fantasy books. And have found them fun to read and this series does qualify as fun and easy to read.

The Goblin King is blinded by love and the Hero Freya is a selfish, self centered and reckless hero. I did enjoy it more whenever Arrow was mentioned. I can see Arrow having a book of his own and how he saw the events of this series through his eyes. Also a little more back story to his life. I'm sure Uncle Arrow has a few adventures with Fiona and maybe another little one?

An enjoyable conclusion to the series, where Freya faces her greatest challenge, her mortality. Eldridge, the Goblin King, is immortal, and Freya will grow old, being mortal. However, the Autumn Thief has a solution, but neither Freya nor Eldridge like the idea. Freya, Eldridge, and Arrow travel to where the gods are in hopes that Freya can pass the challenges and become the new Autumn Thief. However, the gods do not want a mortal to have the Autumn Thief title and Freya must convince them she can be the Autumn Thief. Will Freya be able to pass the tests and sacrifice that which she loves most?

A fitting end to a wonderful journey!

I knew given the direction of the previous books this would have to do with Autumn Court, which incidentally is my favorite court (sorry, Summer Lord, I still think you’re hot though) but I didn’t quite picture this!

This was a wonderful journey to take along with Freya, learning more about the Faerie Courts, along with Freya herself.

I loved her trials and seeing more about Eldridge’s past as well. I liked the three trials as well but Death was my favorite.

The conclusion was wonderful and I loved the epilogue and that opening for a new series.

The final book of the series

This is the final book of the series and it have been a rollercoaster of emotions. The characters have been so real to me is like they are friends talking to me. So with is a better sweet closing to such a wonderful series, full of adventures, wonderful characters and a great world. There is so much I want to said but I don't want to spoiled for anyone so I just said: Love you Freya, Eldridge and Arrow your journey have ended but I'm sure I will re-visit you again! Highly recommended read.

Here is the final chapter of Eldridge and Freya's story. The Autumn Thief is found with her throat cut and asks Freya to steal her magic so that she can be with her Goblin King. Freya does, but a mortal has never had this role and no matter what her reasoning was; she must now face 3 ancient Gods to be tested to see if she has what it takes to become the Autumn Thief. Along with Eldridge and Arrow she goes to the court to face these Gods. The Gods are not benevolent and at times cruel but face them she does. But Emma Hamm does believe in HEA so we know that Freya will be OK. But the tests are brutal. But fear not happy endings never fail

This is book five and the final book in the Of Goblin Kings series. Such a bittersweet ending after watching Freya grown and defeat so many obstacles. I love these characters and am so draw into their world. The characters are well developed with compelling back stories, strong motivation and goals. They have bold personalities and make bold choices. They have captivating internal conflicts with multiple difficult decisions to make. The world building is detailed, imaginative and so well done that you're drawn into a fantastic world unlike any other. It pulled me in from beginning to end and held my attention

I'm going to miss Eldrige and Freya. What a great finish to the series. The ending was perfect. Freya once again has to complete a quest but this time it is for personal reasons. Her biggest supporters Eldrige and Arrow sre there to help her. A well written story that held me captive until I finished reading it. I have never been disappointed when I read a book by Emma Hamm. She is one of the few PNR authors that actually take the time to develop characters and world build which is very much appreciated by this reader.

All will be good in the Realm of the Fae.
By the Old Gods.... this book. It is the perfect ending to a wonderful journey.
These two. I can't even say how much I loved Freya's and Eldridge's story. All the emotions!
Emma Hamm did it again, she captivated me into a place of fantasy so magical, there was no way I wanted to leave again. Ever. Sigh, I'm both so sad that this ends here and so very happy for this beautiful ending. Awesome characters -both main and secondary-, amazing world-building and sound storyline/plot. Very much recommended and an absoute must read; the whole series is very unique and special.
