three outta five

*spoilers ahead (like heaps)*
this book had so much goddamn potential. i was underwhelmed to say the least. the story line was great but they really missed out on making this a slow burn. one chapter she stole the money the next she got caught.. like gurl come on. one second they hate each other the next they are so attracted to each other. THERE COULDVE BEEN SO MUCH ANGST. it felt like a lost opportunity. i loved rebel so much cuz of her backbone and then she stayed at the house after getting kicked out (dignity?? self respect??). everything felt so goddamn rushed. but then there were scenes that were so slow as well. MAKING STEPHAN GAY WAS UNECCESARY. it felt like they had nothing for him so they made him gay. I WOULD HAVE LOVED IF HE ENDED UP WITH ONE OF THE TWINS. i am also pissed that rebel and stephan didnt get a shot. DANTE'S MIXED SIGNALS WERE SENDING ME TO BE HONEST. UGH.

i apologise for the rant but it was necessary.

it's not that the book was bad it's just that i really hate wattpad books where the dialogues are so stupid and make no sense. like i get you want to write a fun lighthearted book but if they're supposed to be mafia bosses why are they acting like they're dumb. it's just boring tbh how not serious and how stupid the whole plot is.

dnfed this.

This definitely was something, i LOVE programming and coding, so seeing the female main character being such a badass AND A HACKER definitely brought me joy, so yah i loved this book even though the love interest is a fucking irritating bitch but slay he’s in the mafia so I still like him.

ok im gonna do this the simple way.

it was SO GOOD FROM THE START. but it went down hill right after chapter 10 😭
i hate the way the author writes. i hate the relationship between Rebel and Dante. i hate almost everything about this book.

one thing i LOVED and probably the reason i didn't give up on this book was Angelo. he is so precious! <33 the side funny character everyone loves. i LOVED his jokes and his personality. my loveee <33

then, i liked the plot and the story. it was okay ig.

but the book was awful and horrible and just bad!! they didn't even kiss and already had intimate moment 😭😭it was so cringe and cliché. it killed most of my brain cells.

at that point i just skipped through most of the chapters to the end

"Once you find a reason to live, you tend to want to stay alive as long as you possibly can" - Dante Vino
So this is my first Wattpad book in like such a long time, and it's amazing, gosh I missed these mafia romances, I liked the way rebel was portrayed, a brave, bold independent woman, and yes, I loved that at the end she did everything for her mother even though the ending was a bit sad tbh. For Dante, gosh Dante, my dream guy, the typical guy who doesn't believe in anything about love but once you discover love it's a powerful tool, I loved how he treated the romantic way Rebel, I would have loved a bit more spicy scenes but that one spicy scene was enough🥺 I love these two but if I had to choose between Dante and Rebel, I would go with Dante, i just felt more connection to him. But hey I can be Dante's sister in law, with cute baby Angelo ✨🥺

Tropes: Mafia, Found Family, sunshine x grumpy, romance 16+, abused (not too much, trust me)

Where do I even start? I underestimated this book, ngl. The story info was about a girl who obliviously hacks into the strongest Italien mafia and steals $5 million. So I expected this helpless girl who falls in love with the leader, or some cliche shit like that, but boy was I wrong. And this will be one of the only times I'm glad I was wrong, cause this story was a good story.

Without spoiling too much, I didn't expect the way that our lovely badass main character met the big bad don (iykyk). I always enjoy the strong, badass female character vibe in a book and the grumpy hot guy. Can we talk about Rebels personality please, because she had me laughing from the beginning to the end. When shes in the same room with him, he expected this fragile middle aged women to be sitting in a chair, scared out of her mind. Hah, his expression was priceless to say the least.

And now we get to the reason why I'm not giving this book 5 stars, because the plot was really good, don't get me wrong. I was a bit disappointed to how fast they got down to business... Hear me out, I know some tropes involve both characters to look each other in the eyes and then suddenly can't keep the other one out of the head, saying how their body craved for the other, and vice versa. I wished that it took a bit more time to get to that point, but nonetheless, I pushed myself to keep reading, wondering where this will go and I'm glad I did. That's the only reason why I didn't give this 5 stars. The beginning of their relationship was the only thing that was fast paced, but in a way we could still keep track of their development so props to the author for that one.

Hope this review helps with reading the book, btw it's on Wattpad ✨

i don't normally do reviews of anything, this is my first one ever, but I just need to talk about this book.
Listen, this book has an amazing plot, it had so much potencial, but then just from nowhere the book became de cringiest thing ever, and then the characters go from nothing to a lot without even a kiss?! and magically they are all in love in the period of 2 minutes, i don't know, that didn't make sense to me. And what the hell is wrong with Dante? he's all about his family but he give two f about his sisters and only focused on Rebel when they have been in danger.
Also, I don't dislike re-reading if its for one or two chapters but it this book from 10 chapters of the book, 5 of them where re-reading things that are not relevant to the history.
I got to the half of book and nothing really interesting happened. Plus the characters and meant to have a +200 of iq but they act sooo stupid sometimes that its frustrating.
I hope im not he only one who thinks all of this.
I dnf this book, I really tried not to but it was impossible.
PS: sorry if something was bad written, English its not my first language. :)

The female protagonist is very immature, shames women who put on makeup and then proceeds to buy makeup after she steals money but its okay because "she's not like other girls" and she has an IQ of 252 so I don't have any right to judge her.The hero made me want to tear my hair out of the roots. He's a perfect cardboard character who is confused and confuses us readers by putting an asshole personality in one chapter and then in the next rushes to pluck a rose in bloom to put it on gift wrap😑 One chapter they are passionately verbal sparring and the next chapter they are pleasuring each other. What did I just read?

I loved this book so much i feel like people were harsh on the reviews a lot i really enjoyed it 😂😂 there chemistry was so cute and i loved the way they all had witty comments and banter between them and the whole family vibe i feel like tht also rlly made the book. But also i enjoyed the style of writing. However my only bad note was there were some good opportunities to have such good storylines and there weren’t rlly any 😭 they felt a bit quick and rushed which was the only bad thing bc it all felt like i was reading the same thing over again in some places which wasn’t bad but it meant they were a little bring. But overall i did enjoy it

The blurb of this book had me hooked in about 0.5 second. Not only are the main characters likeable but just about everything I would love to be in this world. Error 404 depicts what I truly believe is one of the most badass but charismatic characters I have read. From the moment she started hacking to the charity ball, I couldn't remove my eyes from the book. Once again, her character does not bow to the likes of a man and her IQ is impeccable. Although I will say, she deserved to be treated better then the male lead did but I’ll accept it since its a mafia romance. Definitely would read again.

We all know how mafia books can be sometimes over done, typical, cringe, or lacking an actual plot.

This one however ? I don’t even know where to start with how good it is. The depth, the plot twists, the buildup, and the extremely well written emotions.

Its all there . Its not your typical “need saving” kind of girl. Its a character filled with a persona that gets built beautifully throughout the story. This author amazed me with the way she built this book! You cannot expect a thing Literally!! And that’s why I loved it.

Any other mafia book i read, I compare it to this one . And so far, none have succeeded to live up to this book’s standards.

Honestly at first i loved the plot (and still do) but the romance at first wasn’t it at all. It made me want to dnf so many times because rebel would always go back to dante when he would do something very wrong. On the other hand dante never really never apologized for anything he did at all. He said so much that hurt her really bad. The last 20 chapters was amazing and i would love to see the new hacker and see how she is going with the russian mafia.Honestly everybody was my favorite fr. Loved the twins and we never found out who was the lil rat. And i loved anglo and harry just everyone 😭.

i would rate it a 4 for constantly catching me off guard and making me cry in the middle of the night but I can’t do that. It was such a good story and I loved how much rebel was smarta** towards Dante. I wish I could have a physical copy!
