Fragrance is as vital a part of your home as colour and texture. It can add depth to an otherwise stark room, warmth to a cold space, create a mood for a particular occasion – it can welcome, comfort and entice as much as any other aspect of interior design.
Moving from room to room, Fragrance Your Home offers a practical look at the various, all-natural ways you can create transformative and evocative scents inspired by nature. Using seasonal combinations of 7 core essential oils, you'll discover how to make your own candles, diffusers, dried herb combinations, incense and florals to restore, energise and uplift.
Superb book. From candle making to wreath making this book is lovely from beginning to end. Beautiful photography and very informative about how you use essential oils to make scent to your own taste. A must read for anyone that has an interest in aromatherapy, gardening and slow living.
Absolutely lovely and thoughtful book, a pleasure to read. I really enjoyed the projects, they are very well constructed, which makes them simple to follow for a beginner like me. The author has really thought about how one would like to feel in each room. I liked that the focus is on 7 essential oils and even though the same oils are used, each project has a completely different scent and aromatherapy effect. Pretty clever really and considerate as essential oils are expensive. I also love that the author has selected oils with no ethical or sustainable sourcing issues. Beautiful photography too, a stunning coffee table book, everyone who visits always picks it up and are impressed.
Fantastic book, the projects are beautiful, I want to make them all. I love the layout of this book and how it's divided into sections for each part of the home, adore the quotes through each chapter. A pleasure to read and come back to time and again, stunning images. I have since bought this for friends and family presents and they all love it too. Wonderful book, absolutely love it!
Uh? The 'recipes' are entirely too partially constructed. Like how is mix wooden balls with oil a recipe? Although the author tried to simplify by only using 7 oils, it was way too basic.
