This was a short novella that is part of the Tis The Season For Romance anthology.
If you love the Until series I’m sure you will absolutely love this little novella. It seems like all the family was mentioned and kids and grandkids are extremely abundant in every chapter.
Unfortunately, I didn’t read the Until series. So for me, it was a ton of characters I couldn’t keep track of and wasn’t invested in. They seem like a cool family though.
ABOUT THE BOOK: Bestselling author, Harley Humbug, needs an escape. From the current state of her own love life. From her deadline she blew past weeks ago. From Christmas that’s just around the corner and the bad luck it usually brings with it.
When a snowstorm causes a road closure, she chalks it up to one more thing to go wrong. Little does she know the detour will take her to a town she never knew existed, and right into the path—and possible arms—of a man who might just be her real-life muse.
______
REVIEW: THE DETOUR by K. Bromberg is a contemporary, adult Christmas short focusing on romance writer Harley Humbug, Mayor / bar owner Saint Nick and a snowstorm that strands our heroine in Saint Nick’s Hollow.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Saint and Harley) THE DETOUR follows the quick building relationship and one-night stand between romance writer Harley Humbug, and Mayor / bar owner Saint Nick. Harley Humbug has lost her muse; she is struggling to write, and the holidays are something of which she is not looking forward. Stranded in St. Nick’s Hollow, a virtual Christmas village Harley will get the inspiration she needs from the man that stirs something she hasn’t felt in a very long time-magic.
THE DETOUR is a character driven, short story with a sexy hero and a lost heroine who will find her muse in the unlikeliest of places. The story ends abruptly, I am hoping for more.

BOYFRIEND is a story of family, friendship, betrayal and lust. The premise is engaging; the romance is sweet; the characters are colorful and fun but the story line ends rather abruptly. I am going to presume the author has plans for their continuing story.

BLIND DATE by Monica Murphy
REVIEW: BLIND DATE by Monica Murphy is the most recent instalment in the author’s contemporary, adult DATING romance series. This is twenty-six year old. jewellery clerk Amelia Lee, and twenty-one year old Isaac Jones’ story line. Several characters from the previous DATING instalments appear as secondary and supporting characters.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Amelia ad Isaac) BLIND DATE follows Amelia as she is tasked to select a Christmas tree for the family owned jewellery store, and runs into twenty-one year old, tree farm worker Isaac Jones (first introduced in HOLIDATE #3), a young man who would unknowingly become her blind date aka plus one for her friend’s wedding To Isaac and Amelia’s shock, neither one was aware of their impending matchup, a matchup that would become a happily ever after.
BLIND DATE is a story of family, friendships and love. The premise is inviting; the romance is sweet but mostly implied; the characters are feisty and flirty.
This is a novella in the Tis the Season for Romance holiday anthology. If you have not read Ms Reynolds books about the people in this novella, you will be lost, as I was. This is an update to former characters. It created interest for me to seek out these characters in their respective books, but I had no idea who these people were. Each chapter was devoted to a particular couple.
This novella was featured in the 2020 'Tis the Season for Romance collection. It features all of the original and second gen Mayson clan couples. With single POV from one person in each duo, this was a great way to catch up with my favorite characters, even without steamy scenes.
🎄Code Name: Grace Code Name: Grace is a novella in the Jameson Force Security series by Sawyer Bennett. You can read each book as standalone but I recommend reading them all since they are badass and unique. At the end of Code Name: Rook we met Clay, an FBI agent who hasn’t seen Jameson’s resident psychiatrist in nine years. And now that Corinne saw him she isn’t going to just let him walk away again. They had a bond and she knows he felt it too so she makes a plan. To get him to talk. To listen. No better time than the holidays, right? Will he put up a fight or give in? I am so happy they got a story even if it’s a short one.
🎄HONOR by Kristen Proby 5 Hearts
Honor is the first book in the Heroes of Big Sky by Kristen Proby. It’s also part of the Big Sky series. I have read a few but not all of the Big Sky series so it was fun to go back to Cunningham Falls. Nick was injured while protecting Princess Nina and now he has to rehab away from duty. At least it’s in a beautiful lake house in Montana but what he isn’t happy about is having a babysitter disguised as a nurse. Jordan just moved back home from Arizona and a family member has hooked her up with a live-in nursing job. What she didn’t expect was him. A sexy and grumpy hottie who isn’t a fan of Christmas. Will she get him to love Christmas? Will he let her nurse him to good health? These two are so fun, sexy, and sweet.
All these romance stories are excellent! Cannot pinpoint which story is the best. They all are so good. From a second chance meeting, to a fake boyfriend, to a Magic town, to an old friend, to a wedding stranger, to a bodyguard crush, to a babysitter, to a big family Christmas and to a meddling grandmother, they all found love in some strange conditions and adventures to the delight of readers. Cannot say enough how great they are. So enjoy.
The Right One: This did not feel like a Natasha story. First, was Leah married to Alan or was he a boyfriend, both were said. Needed a good editor or formatter. Honor: The fabulous start of the Royal Edition. A Mayson Christmas: I love that so many couples had a little snippet of extra love. Shielding Jayme: Wonderful story of love and acceptance. Love doesn’t always happen in your twenties, the best come to those who wait. They appreciate it more.
📖 ¦ A Mayson Family Christmas by Aurora Rose Reynolds
Cada capítulo es más hermoso que el anterior. Volver a leer a toda la familia Mayson narrando su víspera o mañana de navidad fue un regalo de parte de la autora. 🥰🥺🤧
Sarina Bowen and Monica Murphy's stories are the standouts of this collection! (And happily both authors turned the stories into full length books!!! YAY!)

This anthology gathers together multiple beloved voices in contemporary and romantic suspense fiction, offering readers a seasonal treat packed with swoon-worthy heroes, strong heroines, and holiday magic.
Unlike long-running sagas like J.R. However, many of the authors included-such as Kristen Proby, Sawyer Bennett, Sarina Bowen, Devney Perry, Natasha Madison, and Susan Stoker-each have extensive romance series and spin-off books that fans may want to explore after finishing their contributions here.
The collection falls firmly in the romance/contemporary romance genre, and it's recommended for an adult audience (18+) due to mature themes, passionate love scenes, and adult-level relationship content. Readers will likely find it a cozy, sweet, and occasionally steamy holiday escape-perfect for curling up with during the festive season.
