Interlude story no plot whatsoever

This book felt like what should have been the beginning of the next book. The author got to 250 pages and figured he would try to make money off it. There was little to no plot, no great development and the main character Waldo was maybe in 25% of the story. All it did was add some aftermath from book three and move the main character to his next objective. He did nothing to change the story at all just rode on a boat. I still enjoy the series but this book was disappointing.

Really a good series but this book is luke warm at best

Seems a bridge for (hopefully) a next book rather than a real Waldo adventure on its own.

PotC stuff was weak and unoriginal. Fantasy trope nods in previous books worked well but the outright parody here was heavy handed.

No proof reader? There was a fair bit of what looks to be accepting spell check results without confirming they were the right word choice.

Not up to the quality of the rest of the series - which was excellent - this felt like a fan contribution or Dragon magazine add-on story for Waldo and the real effort was put into fleshing out the story for the other characters.

Still love the story

This was a great continuation of the series. Where book 3 focused almost entirely on Waldo's group, this book seemed more equally spilt between Waldo, Lilith, and Melissa. It seems like the proverbial shit is very close to hitting the fan.

My only complaint was that I wish it had been longer. On the flip side of that, I've read a lot of books that should have been shorter. Too short is better than too long.

An Interlude

This is a book that focus on Melissa and Lilith. Their plot-lines make more than 70% of the book (at least that's what it felt like). I could tell in a paragraph what happened to Waldo and friends. It's more like a book 3.5 instead of a book 4, really, since nothing happens.

So this just keeps getting worse.

The first book was hilarious, now it has given up on humor and is trying to be an epic story involving several nations and war. The entire plot of the main character is two boat trips where nothing happens.

Great story.

I'll be waiting for book five. I'm sensing that the end is near and all will be ready for the finale.

I really do love this series. Ok so judging by reviews I’ve seen a lot of people consider this book short and not worth bothering.

True it is relatively short, but considering the time it took to release book 3 after 2 compared to 4 after 3. I’d certainly prefer more frequent releases with a slightly shorter book. After all it’s not that short

Aside from that it still a lot of great content I expect from this author. Surprisingly less of Waldo in some respects but a lot of the world and story set up occurred in this book that I think will ultimately improve things going forward.

My personal experience is that can be an incredibly difficult thing to do without making things boring. The author succeeds as I never felt I had to slog through the book at any point.

I’m looking forward to seeing more of this series ‘blessed be the rabbit onto you’

Feels like half a book.

I feel like nothing really happens in this book. Waldo travels, Melissa continues to be an amoral fanatic, and Lilith schemes. The characters are all static.

5 You Can't Solve Every Problem By Eating People Stars

The Rabbit Who Lived is the fourth book in the Waldo Rabbit series by Nelson Chereta.

Oh my Lordy! I absolutely devoured the terribly spiraling fate of all within these pages. As we finally discovered something more of Lilith's plans to bring her final son and heir safely back to Alteroth. Along with the way in which th Great Rabbit religion has forever changed Tirokai. It is still a mystery whether this country will come to aid the White or Dark Mages against the other...

Outside of Lilith being devastatingly beautiful and cunning during these pages, this book felt entirely full to the brim with filler. There were no big overtures to change Waldo's quest. He seemed to stumble from bad omens to fortunate moments of luck with no real direction. But I can definitely give the benefit of saying it was completely fascinating and too consuming to put down.

I wonder how he will tackle acquiring a dragon? Especially when there is a real possibility that Worlds End is ruled by one, given the glimpse we were given at the end of this book?

Also, it's so entirely funny when Alice speaks sense towards something Waldo didn't even consider. Usually, she's playing angels advocate on his shoulder.

So short, but I loved it.

I'm really. REALLY. GLad the author has not gone FULL harem on this series. The series skirts the edges and pokes fun at the trope, but never does the author force the personalities of the characters to bend to some juvenile fantasy. I had serious doubts about reading this series for that exact reason. It just wouldn't make since for Alice's character to share him willingly. Nor does Waldo's pragmatic nature even allow for an interest of fantasy. Props to the author for creating the characters, creating the circumstances, and then locking them in a room to see what happens

This was an entertaining continuation of the series. Loved the fact that Mellissa basically was thrown the book to Waldo's Great and Noble Rabbit Religion and essentially does an eyebrow raise sigh and say "fuck it". It was also kind of funny how all White Mages now kind of have a bone to pick with Waldo now cause of the Great Rabbit. Also.... Melissa is kind of a mini-Lilith in this book which is pretty creepy. Poor Waldo.. he has a crazy Yandere on to him... Wonder about the dragon. Kind of hoping its also gay so Gronk will have a friend..*wink, wink*.

First let me say I love the Waldo Rabbit series. Having said that, this book was nothing more than a necessary bridge to whatever is next. Honestly it should have been the first half to book 4, with another 300 pages to make a whole book. I guess that’s not how books get written these days. Needless to say it’s not the best book in the series. Please please write the next book soon. And I’m really ready to see how this all wraps up. I think 5 books should be ok to get this story told. Another 2 or 3 books and your just milking us.

This book is primarily just focused on the aftermath of the previous book and moving to the next location, it didn't really move the plot forward much, it honestly felt more like a novella that might happen between books rather than an actual book in the series. There were some fun events that happened and I liked learning more about Lilith and how events in the world are moving forward. At the rate that this series is progressing this series is going to be 15 books long and all of them very short.

Very disappointing - I’ve been a big fan of the books so far however this was a waste of money. Badly written as if the author was unsure of where to take the story next. Not really a book more like a novella and I stopped counting the errors in the book as there were so many, I guess not proof read. It would be nice for Waldo’s story to end in the manner of the first three books which if you have not read them are fresh and full of humour, really good reads but not this current tale, sorry.

"Пътят към Ада е постлан с добри намерения" - една от най-добрите поговорки, която много, много често се оказва вярна в живота, връзките и политиката. Дали обаче пътят към Рая може да е постлан с лоши намерения?

Когато един млад "черен магьосник" тръгва по света да върши злини и да се докаже като достоен наследник на фамилията си, нещата някак успяват никога да не се случват точно така, както той си представя, че трябва.

Jack seagull...really, I didn’t notice parody anywhere else? Satire sure, parody not so much. It’s odd to add it at this point, felt lazy. This felt like filler on the ship, really hating the MC now, he's just too consistently f*cking stupid! Don’t know if I can continue this...The ONLY redeeming quality of this, is that we get a few lines in a POV swap that hints at the protag’s plot armor being godly given...

As great as the others!

So funny!! My only hangup is the long time it took to come out, I have been checking every week for months!

The book has a few typos, but no huge issues. The same feel is still there as the other three, but now with some more side views of melissa and lilith.

I loved this 4th book. I feel the author did a great job adding layers to Lilith and her assistant. So far, out of the 4 books in the series. Third one was okay, all the other books have been absolutely great. Yes, there is less time with Waldo in this book. However, I think it was needed in order to see everything else that is going on in the background. I can not wait to start book 5.

May the blessings of the great rabbit be upon you

Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Glad I didn't have to wait as long as for book 3, looking forward to the next instalment of Waldo Rabbit ( tremble at his name)

The Rabbit Who Lived

This book does not appear to have the same intensity as the previous three books. It is a good read, but it does not grab me as the previous three volumes have. It was harder to follow, however I still want to see what the future of the series holds.

I don't know if this was in the previous books, but there is a lot of borrowing from Greek mythology and references in this novel.
The novel is also shorter, and not as fun as before.

This was just filler. Interlude. Nothing else. It took me forever to read, because it just wasn’t that interesting. I do want to know how this series resolves. I hope there will be answers to questions in another edition soon.

Rather depressing

An interlude plot with lots of intrigues, warmongers and a boat trip with a cheap copy of "Jack Sparrow ".

The so called protagonist seems to regress rather than to advance. He is just too stupid and juvenile. Alice also strongly regressed compared to book one. She acts now just like a minion.

I couldn't find much humour in the book either and lost all interest in the plot. I am done with the series.

Needs a proof reader to catch the missing words. Also to catch the repeated words. Outside of that a good quick simple read.
