This was a gripping thriller where the characters are thrown into a horrific event and while it turned out to be pretty brutal towards the end, which caught me off guard initially, the violence was justifiable. I don't really read novellas to be honest, I was just a fan of this new author and decided to read all of his new stuff that was coming out. I'm more of a novel reader, so I'm hoping the writer goes in that direction, since I find these books to be very visually written (it says in the 'about the author' section that he is a screenwriter, so go figure) - looking forward to more!

Couldn’t put this book down! A fascinating thriller that shows how far some might go to ensure their own survival in a life threatening situation. Made me cry, laugh, shudder and wince as I felt empathy for certain characters and loathing towards others. Great read
