A native New Yorker, Chris Keniston was on her way to Australia when she fell in love with North Texas. Little did she know the balmy seventy-degree October days would turn into fry-an-egg-on-the-sidewalk heat in August!

Twenty years later, she started scribbling short stories about her favorite TV shows, giving them lives more to her liking - and the elusive happy ending. Not long after, a dear friend dragged her to a local writers’ meeting. After winning multiple writing contests and making the finals in the Romance Writers of America’s prestigious Golden Heart contest, she now spends her days, and nights, writing contemporary romantic fiction with lots of emotion, plenty of surprises, and, of course, the happily ever after.

Chris lives in suburban Dallas with her husband, two human children, and two canine children. Though she loves her puppies equally, she admits being especially attached to her German Shepherd rescue named Gunny. After all, even dogs deserve a happily ever after.

We are moving right along with the Farraday family by author Chris Keniston and I really enjoyed reading Ethan's story. I love this family as a whole but I was iffy about Ethan after reading Declan's story. Since the book went in a completely different direction than I had incorrectly anticipated, I ended up a fan of his. I thought the story line was excellent and the author let us see the growth and maturation in the main characters.

I highly recommend this book but it is much more enjoyable if read the series in order.

Chris, I sure hope you are planning on a story for Sean and his sister-in-law who has helped raise the Farraday brood! That would be awesome. I feel like there is already something there between them.

And can I say how much I loved Finn in this book. My gosh, he was just a dream come true. His gal will have to be a very special woman to deserve him!

This was a highly anticipated read as this whole series has been. These books are a must read!

I knew Ethan would fall in love with Brittany given the chance to get to know her, I mean come on she's his daughter. But with how things were set up I expected a dirty, nasty fight between Ethan and Allison for Brittany. I'm so glad that didn't happen. I was happy when Allison saw for herself how in love all of the Farraday's were with Brittany and that they would let her be part of her life. It was better when Allison and Ethan fell for each other. I do wish we would have learned where they are going to live. I would like to see them stay in Texas with the rest of the family, but know that probably won't happen.

She has done it again!!!! I am totally in love with all of the Faraday brothers, but the women they discover are so perfect for them I can't even be jealous! Ethan's story continues the standard of excellence established with Adam and maintained through each of the other books in the series. This series is for readers who love deeply connected characters with heart and integrity. The frequent bouts of humor and episodes of amazing warmth help make this series outstanding.

Ethan's controlled hard landing while deployed saved the men on his helicopter, but it has "landed" him in the hospital with injuries that are going to take some time to heal, too much time for a Marine helicopter pilot who flies for the adrenaline rush as much as for the love of his country. He knows the recovery period will bring pain and frustration but never imagines that he will spend it getting to know the newest member of the Faraday clan, his much unexpected daughter. Nor does he expect to spend it getting to know a shy but brilliant doctor who touches something inside him, this man who believes that relationships weaken the warrior. For fans of the series, our mystic dog shows up in San Diego and in Tuckers Bluff.

I requested and receive an advance readers copy of this book from the author. The review is voluntary and reflects my views. I always review books I love and I do love this book.

I received this ARC from the author and am voluntarily providing my review.

After a controlled hard landing Ethan wakes up in a military hospital with several injuries that will side-line him for awhile, and his brother and father by his side dropping a bomb shell on him he could never have seen coming. Ethan is a father to a tiny baby girl. Now home recovering and surrounded by his big extended family, he quickly falls head over heels for his daughter. But someone else has arrived in town and it appears she is equally interested in the infant.

Allison feels like she has stepped right into an old country western TV program. News that her sister had a baby and then left her on the door step of the father's family hasn't set well. She hasn't seen her sister in years but she isn't taking any chances with the care of her precious little niece, and although she hasn't thought it out fully, she will do whatever it takes to make sure her niece is in good hands, including to take her back home with her.

This is probably my favorite in the Farraday Country series. Watching the tough military man turn to mush over his infant daughter was so precious. And his whispered words to her the first time he holds her brought tears to my eyes. A must read series, each stand alone book leads to the next brother (and eventually the only sister) who will find a shaggy grey dog crossing his path and leading them to their fate. One sweet love story after another!

Family makes it work

Ethan loved his job flying soldiers to and back from missions that could be deadly, but could save lives. When his plane is shot down he lands it on the side of the mountain but he is the most seriously injured.
Coming home to recuperate he learns that a weekend pickup resulted in a daughter he didn’t know about. This is the story of how he turns from hot shot pilot to Mr. Dad, and finds himself falling for his daughter’s aunt, a surgeon who is sure he couldn’t possibly take proper care of an infant.

Another in the series of the Farraday brothers and how each of them could love and a way of life near the family ranch.

Not as impressed

I read the books out of order.( I know, shame on me) I was really hoping Ethan's story was going to be as good as Adams... I was disappointed. Ethan and Allison's story wasn't very convincing. There were a lot of holes and unanswered questions. Yes, I get that it's a short story and I can't get all my wants fulfilled, but more Fancy drama would have been nice. As a reader, I didn't feel their connection of friendship let alone lovers. I wanted more and felt like it just wasn't there.

I enjoyed Ethan's story, but the sudden love between Ethan and Allison seemed to lack chemistry.

A follow on from book 4 but involves Brittany's dad Ethan and her aunt Allison. Of course there are dogs telling aunt Eileen that the two are suited. Both prove their mettle when a situation needs them the most.

The quick fall in love in a couple of days thing is getting old, but I’ve got to see these through.
They’ve all been fast, drama free, beach reads so I’ll allow it.

I waited anxiously for Ethan to be finished. I love the stories of this family, the Farradays are such a joy to read, and Ethan's was no exception.
I was forwarded a copy for free to review, and I would recommend this book to everyone. But, in my opinion, it was too short, I needed more of Ethan & Allison!
I love Aunt Eileen, she is the backbone to the family. And I love the magic of the dog. One of my favourite lines in the book is...'Mom and Aunt Eileen have found their people'. That's the way I feel about this fictional family...the way Chris writes, I feel like every one of them are 'my people', too. And Finn thinks he's going to live a quiet life now (haha), I can't wait to see what is in store for him!

Ethan

Now, here, after just finishing Book 5 in this series, I am greatly appreciative of Chris Keniston's writing! Ethan actually finds love almost dropped in his lap. Recouping from a 'hard landing' as a fighter pilot, he finds he is a father. His little girl, Brittany, has a mother (Fancy) that just wasn't good for her. In comes Fancy's sister, Allison. The grey wolf type dog enters, he is the matchmaker. I love that this dog is in every book in this series! You will have romance, love, family values, and intrigue as you read this story. It was hard to put down!

I was so excited to get the next installment in the Farraday series! I was definitely not disappointed. I loved Ethan's story, and Allison was perfect for him. This story kept me hooked from beginning to end. I cannot wait until the next book in the series!

The Marine Has Landed.

When Ethan returns to meet his baby daughter, life gets complicated by the mother’s sister showing up to find her niece. While recovering from his injury, Ethan’s family rallies to make sure his daughter is protected. Recommend.

Another wonderful love story about the Farradays

Sweet, wonderful love story built around a baby, dropped off at the police station. The author draws the reader into the situation and keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Ethan Farraday
Allison Monroe

Ethan is a helicopter pilot in the Marines and when his Dad and brother D J come to see him in the hospital they have some interesting news for him in that he is a father. That the mother left the baby and listed him as the father and signed over parental rights. Allison is a Doctor and has been in the Amazon working when she finds out she is an Aunt. She goes to Tucker’s Bluff to find the father and get custody of the baby. This is a good, fast read like the other books in the series. The characters are easy to like. Aunt Eileen is up to tricks to get Ethan and Allison together. I look forward to reading more of the series.

A different rancher/ city girl romance. Subplots could have been expanded a bit more but maybe they will be in other books in the series.
This is the only book from this series my library has.
