A native New Yorker, Chris Keniston was on her way to Australia when she fell in love with North Texas. Little did she know the balmy seventy-degree October days would turn into fry-an-egg-on-the-sidewalk heat in August!

Twenty years later, she started scribbling short stories about her favorite TV shows, giving them lives more to her liking - and the elusive happy ending. Not long after, a dear friend dragged her to a local writers’ meeting. After winning multiple writing contests and making the finals in the Romance Writers of America’s prestigious Golden Heart contest, she now spends her days, and nights, writing contemporary romantic fiction with lots of emotion, plenty of surprises, and, of course, the happily ever after.

Chris lives in suburban Dallas with her husband, two human children, and two canine children. Though she loves her puppies equally, she admits being especially attached to her German Shepherd rescue named Gunny. After all, even dogs deserve a happily ever after.

Eileen is the glue that keeps the Farraday clan together. She has so much love to give and is never afraid to impart wisdom as she showers love. Keeping Eileen is her happily ever after. Her's is a tale of self sacrifice, lost love and family tragedy. Out of the ashes of her broken heart, she has impacted a great many lives and wormed her way into the heart of countless readers. So I am so glad that she finally gets the chance to find a little happiness of her own. Keniston proves that love has no age limit and hope is never ending.

When I saw that Aunt Eileen was finally getting a book I had an inkling how things would go. Now that I'm done reading this one I found my thoughts were right. I did like learning more about Aunt Eileen's life before coming to the ranch. It makes a person wonder what Eileen's life would have been like had her sister not died. I like the choice that Eileen made of who to be with.

I also like the side story where a blast from the past showed up. It was interesting how their life seemed to mirror Eileen's in a way.

Keeping Eileen: Farraday Country Book 11 is by Chris Kensington. This book ends the Farraday Country series for now, hopefully there will be more. It is a fitting end to a delightful series. Each of Chris Kensington’s books is just as good as the one before it, even better. The characters are tremendous, the descriptions of the countryside and the weather are wonderful and so realistic, and the plot is simple but meaningful.
Eileen Callahan gave up her career as a singer to be with her sister, Helen, after the birth of Helen’s daughter, Grace. Then, after Helen’s death, Eileen stayed on to help Helen’s husband, Sean Farraday, raise his sons and only daughter. Eileen became the “mother” of all of the children and eventually, the town. She was forceful and stubborn in her own right and had the might and right of the Farraday’s behind her. She was simply a force in the town and yet she was deeply loved, respected, and adored by everyone in town. Now, her past has returned to town. Glenn Baker, her one-time fiancé, is back in town. He has something he wants to talk to Eileen about, besides to apologize for abandoning her when she needed him most. Can Eileen trust him and her feelings once again? What will Sean Farraday’s reaction be as he was the one who heard her cries when she realized Glenn was gone for good? Can he forgive Glenn for hurting Eileen? Add in the terrible twistedness of Nature, and you have a whirlwind of fun in one book.

Keeping Eileen Farraday Country Book 11
Chris Keniston
Eileen Callahan could not believe her eyes. So she closed them, thinking the apparition would go away. When she opened them, Glenn Baker was still standing there. “Leeni” was not sure it was nice to see him.
It did not take long for the Farraday Family Grapevine to kick in high gear. In a very short time, everyone in Tuckers Bluff knew who Glenn Baker was, had suspicions as to why he had come and who he had come to see. Eileen was both scared and intrigued. But more than one person was down-right upset, even furious! No one more than Patriarch Sean Farraday.
Fancy, sister to Allison who is wife to Ethan Farraday, just had to come back, and see for herself. The band she was with was on a short break and she had to see Brittany one more time! Just to see that, her little girl was doing…ok!
What do Aunt Eileen, Glenn Baker, Tornados and a Ghost Town have in common? Why, Farraday Country of course! Nothing causes a Texas country town’s people to circle the wagons, more than a major event bordering on calamity. Someone turning up after 25 years helps stir the kettle more. By golly, where in heck have those gray dogs been hiding!
For the answers to these and to really find out what’s going on in Tuckers Bluff, pick up your own copy.
I was given an ARC but the Review is amine and freely given.

After her sister died, Eileen postponed her wedding to help Sean, her brother-in-law, to care for her newborn niece and his six sons. Eileen lost her musical career and her fiancé. Now twenty five years ago, Eileen is surprised to have Glenn find her. Sean is afraid that he will lose Eileen. I receive a free copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntarily given review. This is a wonderful sweet book and series. I love this story. Eileen has always been part of the background, but now can be seen as the loving, capable and talented woman that she is. This book can be enjoyed as a standalone but is richer as part of this series. I recommend this book and series.

Chris Keniston wrote another fantastic addition to this already great series. Aunt Eileen has been a very endearing character from, book 1 so it was nice to see her get her man. You'll have to read the book to find out what man though.

It was also fun to catch up with the other family members and see what is going on around town. This well written book draws the reader in from page 1 and will hold you till the very end, to the point of not wanting to put the book down. Great story & great series that everyone needs to read!

I could not put this book down. Keeping Eileen was a surprise and was just wonderful.
A newcomer comes to see Aunt Eileen. What does he want. Wait and see.
But oh so much more. It warmed my heart. I love this series.
Farraday’s always stick together.

Now since all the kids have found love, the house is not full of the kids all the time, as they have their own lives. But when Eileen’s past comes back to Tuckers Bluff, she has some real choices to make about her future.
Also as a side topic Fancy, Brittney’s mother, comes back into town to see her and wants back in her life. Now that she has her life in order and can provide. She is hoping that Ethan and Allison will be willing to let her.
Keeping Eileen is full of making the right decision to live the rest of your live story, where we have seen things play out, but now they are making the choices for them to have happily ever after.

Eileen gave up her dreams to take care of her nephews and niece. But, what will happen when her past shows up in her town?

Eileen is shocked to see Glenn in her hometown. Glenn, who she used to be in a band with and was also engaged to! After she told him she was helping raise her sister's kids..he left and started a new life. But, he's back and wants the band back together. Can she leave her family and finally live out her dreams?

Great story! I'm glad I finally got to see what Eileen was really about. She was so much more than just a mother to her niece and nephews.

I will admit I struggled with this one. Eileen has always been the one to keep the family in line. She gave up her finance years ago and a career. When a blast from the past comes to town, will she stay or go? She goes from no love interest to two of them. Glad Eileen got her own book. I also like meeting Fancy, Brittany's mom. Hoping there maybe a book about her and her best friend - loved him. Gotta love the match making dogs!!!

This has been a terrific series. Aunt Eileen & Sean have been in the background in every story. There supporting all of the kids but kind of an after thought. Now Eileen’s past has come calling. She gave up a promising singing career when her sister died & she moved back to help Sean raise the kids. Now, her former fiancé has appeared in town & is reviving memories. Will Eileen go back to him? Will Sean acknowledge the feelings that have grown over the years?

Allison is raising her niece after her sister abandoned her. Fancy didn’t think she could give Brittany a decent life. Now, she’s on tour with a band starting to make a name for itself & all she can think of is her daughter. She wants to go back & get her. With the encouragement of a close friend, she sends Allison a message that she’s coming to visit. Will Fancy pull Brittany away from the only mother she remembers & her biological father? Or will she realize that Brittany’s better off where she is?

Chris Keniston has given her readers an excellent series. Each story builds off the others & each seems to give credit to a family of matchmaking dogs. The stories are realistic & believable. The men are strong alpha types while the women are tough & sexy. They have a strong sense of family & loyalty. Each can be read as a stand alone but personally, I’d read them in order. The stories are written to build off each other. Eileen is what we consider the strong, tough Western woman giving up her own interests to step in for the sake of family & love of children. Sean is the typical patriarch that descended into grief at the loss of his wife & slowly climbed his way out. Too accustomed to thinking of Eileen as his sister in law instead of a love interest. Both stories in this one dealt with waking up & looking at all consequences & the road taken and determine the correct course for each one for the future. This was a terrific addition to the series.

Keeping Eileen by Chris Keniston is a wonderful addition to the Faraday Country Series. I have enjoyed every Faraday book, I have read, but this one touched me more than the others. I loved how Eileen was such a multi faceted character. The fact that her nephews didn’t know what a star she was, made the book even more realistic. We often only see in people what we expect and not what they were or will be. One of the key elements in the series - yes the dogs - appeared as well. I think there are many things that makes this series so good, but for me one of the main ones are the people. They are good, down to earth people. Even though few people might understand a ranch family in Texas. Everyone can recognize the person who is always there for their family, neighbors and towns. The Faraday family is that and Eileen was the key lynchpin for many years, so what happens when an old love from the past shows up?

Keeping Eileen by Chris Keniston is a great read.

Another happy ending in the Farraday family! Beloved Aunt Eileen gave up her singing career to take care of the Farraday kids, especially newborn Grace, after the sudden passing of her sister Helen Farraday. She also lost the love of her life, jazz musician Glenn Baker, who decided not to wait for her. And she has grown to love her life as the matriarch of this ranching family.

At the opening of the O’Fearadaigh Pub in Tucker’s Bluff who walks back into her life but Glen Baker, now a widower. He wants to pull her back into his world. So is Eileen ready for another chance at love? And when do the match making dogs show up.

A heart warming story set in the West Texas Hills and part of the Farraday Series. This is a family that will make you want to pack up and move to a small town in Texas.

I truly loved everything about this book! Having read all of the Farrady Country
series, it a storyline I've always wondered about. It's heartwarming & funny.
Someone from Eileen's past contacted her. He is the one who broke her heart.
Eileen wonders why after all this
years, Glenn wants to see her.
Sean is not happy about this.
He cares about his sister-in-law/friend.
He remembers hearing Eileen sobbing night after night in her room, over Glenn.
It is great to caught up with all the Farrady's & their lives.
Keeping Eileen is an engaging,
feel good romance. Great characters
& story makes it's perfect!
A MUST READ FOR EVERYONE!!!

I’ve loved the Farradays from Adam in book 1 and have truly felt like I was a part of the family. In all the books I kind of knew where the story was headed but enjoyed the journey nonetheless. In Keeping Eileen, there were several surprises and I couldn't read this book fast enough. Chris Keniston continues to grab the reader and take them for an awesome ride again and again! I'm so happy I found this author and I hope she'll continue to somehow weave the Farradays through the entire alphabet. Everything she writes is golden! This series is a "must" read!

Another great story from Ms Keniston and a fitting finale to an awesome series where each of the children and three of the cousins found their happy ever after in Tuckers Bluff. The adage you don't know what you have until you may lose it is fitting for this hopefully not totally last book in the Farraday Country series. Beautifully written, grabbing your attention from beginning to end. The dogs play a part yet again and just who it is that wins Aunt Eileen heart is best if you read it for yourself.

If you were like me when you read the first book in the Farraday series then thought to yourself why are Eileen and Sean not together? Here is the story we have been waiting for! It’s great to see the clan so protective and Sean spun up. Finally the wake up call he needed. Also you learn more about the dogs past and future...... Pick this up you won’t put it down till you have finished their story.

Nostalgic look at Aunt Eileen's life before she was immersed in raising her nephews and niece.

Sweet, romantic story of love that was put on hold for family. Eileen's exfiance comes to visit and she suddenly realizes what true love really is. Another singer who happens to be Brittany's mother finds her answers when she comes to Tucker's Bluff. Follow the family as they find their happily ever after.

Out of all the books in this series, this was the one I wanted to happen the most! Twenty-five years is a long time not to notice what was right in front of your face! This is a series I will be reading again. In a way, I hope there will be a Christmas book for this family with everyone together family and friends. I would highly recommend this book.

It was so much fun reading Eileen’s story, and I’m very happy with how it ended! I didn’t expect to be reading about her, but with the way she was front and centre in everyone else’s story, it’s perfect. It is a fitting end to the series (if it is the last?), everyone gets their HEA. I was given a copy so I could voluntarily leave my honest review.

This book is all about Eileen and a trip down memory lane. You'd think she would know her mind more than be dazzled by an old beau who couldn't be bothered to understand her. I wish there was more of Sean. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

So glad to see Eileen's story! It took Sean Farrady long enough to see they were meant for each other. I've enjoyed this whole series and Chris couldn't have ended it with a better romance than one between Eileen and Sean. Well done!
