Tre & Shanelle run into each other after 18 years of not seeing each other. To both their surprise the love they shared as trends is still there. After hashing out what Shanelle thought caused their breakup, they hookup. Yet another misunderstanding on Shanelle part has her running from Tre again🤦🏾. Months go by and she ends up in his city doing a book signing and he tracks her down and give her a heartwarming gift. Instead of running from him, this time she runs to him🙌🏾.
Communication is key in all relationships cause as the saying goes "when you assume things you make an ass out of yourself".
What a heartfelt story! I could feel Shanelle's despair, as she tried to navigate through her career change and love life. Taking the time away to get her writing on track, another complication comes into her life when she runs into Tre. Tre and Shanelle were high school sweethearts, but more than that, they really knew and understood the others soul, their purpose and believed in the others dreams. Running into each other again, made all of those feelings come flooding back. After clearing up a misunderstanding, Tre is ready to jump in headfirst, never to lose her again. Shanelle is afraid, holding back and trying not to allow the failures of her mother enter her life. I loved how Tre was so encouraging, supportive and loving to Shanelle, even if she chose not to be with him. He truly wanted what was best for her. I rooted for them, and my heart smiled when they came together. Beautiful read! 👍👍👍
First thing first, this was cute. Short and sweet. I’d love to have the marketing plan that made Tre’s manager so ecstatic lol. This read was inspiring. I wish I had Shanelle’s confidence. Like I be wanting to quit my job and go after my writing career but I second guess it. And I love Tre’s support. The way he’s able to help her manifest her dreams and sees her potential. I love that when they’re together, it’s just the two of them, no pressure, carefree, letting their minds and hearts be free, and just be one with their artistry. It was dope and I’m glad I have the author a try.
After reading novellas of characters that enjoy, I sometimes feel slighted, because I just want more. Shanelle and Tre were enjoyable. I hated that we didn't get much background - no drama, no fuss, just enough character interaction to make me keep reading, but I wanted more. Ms. Wilson even created secondary characters that were likeable, which speaks to her skill, because the book was not even a hundred pages and each character could clearly be heard and seen separate from the main characters.
HOWEVER, back to Shanelle and Tre... I wanted to know more about Shanelle's time in marketing and the process to becoming this person, I wanted to know more about Tre and when he decided and who knew he could sing...this was a tease, but it left me smiling at the end.
I definitely will be reading more of Ms. Wilson and I suggest for you to read her too...ain't nothing like sweet love, baby-making love and best of all BLACK LOVE! 4 Stars
Really cute story. If it’s meant to be, it definitely will be. Shanelle was stressful 🤧 she definitely cheated herself out of so much time by not using her heart instead of her eyes. A part of me feels like Tre could have fought harder but timing is everything. What’s for you will always be there. Love has no time limit.
Really enjoyed this second chance romance of Tre and Shanelle who find each other again as adults after heartbreak as kids. They had great chemistry and I liked that both were turning new chapters in their respective crafts and more than just romance was sparked by their reunion. Super cute story!
I'm loving these great short stories. I love they way the author can write a short story but it gets to the point and it's not boring. It feels like reading something to give you a break for a minute and then get back to what you are doing.
Shanelle and Trevante haven't seen each other over ten years, but when they run into each other, Shanelle is upset with him for breaking her heart. Trevante finally decides to tell Shanelle the truth of what really happened. When Shanelle found out the truth she let her guards down with Trevante and they spent a great weekend together until she saw another woman entering his hotel room. Three months later, Shanelle go and get her man. This was a great read of a second chance love. Shanelle and Trevante had great chemistry and I was glad they found each other again!!
This wss a really good book. Shanelle and Trevante are high school sweethearts who reconnected with each other. They had some issues that they worked through and got back together.
True love will always prevail. Shanelle got on my nerves a little. If she would have spoken up, she wouldn’t have wasted so much time but they say timing is everything. I loved how Trevante helped Shanelle reach her potential. Love a good, second chance at love story.
Tre and Shane were high school sweethearts. Fast forward to life taking them different places only to reunited. Their story is one of inspiration on the love highway. Enjoyable and relaxing vibes in this story.
I love how these characters, Tre and Shanelle were both seemingly at a crossroads in their careers and love lives. It was the perfect time for a reconnection.
I like it when I read a story and I can feel a strong connection to the story and the characters. This one was smooth and kept me turning pages. I loved it.
