Pei Shaoze unintentionally heard about a novel called Accidental Mark. Once he woke up, he found he had transmigrated into the alpha scumbag in the book, Pei Shaoze. The omega protagonist of the novel, Cheng Xia happened to have his pheromones out of control. The original scumbag not only took the opportunity to mark the protagonist but also killed the protagonist’s parents and ruined his reputation. The protagonist was completely blackened and returned five years later to stab the scumbag to death.
Pei Shaoze, “……” What type of melodramatic plot was this? Why not invest well in movies and TV shows when he was the boss? His brain was used to bully the protagonist. No wonder why he would be stabbed to death.
Therefore, he thoughtfully sent Cheng Xia home and helped select a school drama for Cheng Xia. “This drama is suitable for Cheng Xia and has the potential to be popular.”
It turned out to be really popular. Cheng Xia said, “Thank you, President Pei!”
“Cheng Xia should expand his shows and challenge himself.”
Cheng Xia whose fans soared to the tens of millions. “Thank you so much, President Pei!”
“Do you want to try this drama? I think you are talented enough to handle this difficult role.”
At the awards ceremony, Cheng Xia said, “The person I want to thank most is President Pei!”
On Pei Shaoze’s birthday, all the stars of the company came to congratulate him. After the party, Cheng Xia personally sent Pei Shaoze home. The young man’s cheeks were slightly red and his eyes were shining as he stared at Pei Shaoze. “President Pei, in fact, I know your feelings toward me and I like you very much.”
Pei Shaoze, “……?”
Later, it was found that Pei Shaoze was a producer in every one of Cheng Xia’s shows.
The fans said, “This alpha is pretty good. Xia Xia, hurry and chase him!”
Cheng Xia answered, “I’ve caught him :)”

do you ever read something that is just a little bit too fluffy? at least for you at that moment? that’s me with accidental mark. i breezed through the first half but once it reached the 40% mark i started to lose interest. it’s not because the plot or characters weren’t interesting but rather it’s because accidental mark is as slice of life as slice of life gets. and that’s sadly not what i’m in the mood for rn
HOWEVER!!! please read this book!! if you like ABO, transmigration, age gaps, and entertainment novels you should read accidental mark because it’s WORTH IT!! the romance was adorable& pei shaoze is the greenest flag ever (to the point where i occasionally wanted to whack him over the head for trying to be so respectful & gentlemanly toward cheng xia when cheng xia himself wanted him to do the opposite). i thought the writing was really good too, especially with how it went in deep with the entertainment industry and the filming process. the misunderstandings were funny and slightly annoying but because both the characters were so lovable i honestly didn’t mind the fact that president pei was always 10 steps behind cheng xia
p.s. i’ll eventually return to accidental mark to do a reread to fully appreciate how sweet everything is!!!
I feel like sometimes the author focuses too much on the main characters they sometimes forgot to put a personality to some of these side characters and they come off as really bland to me and there's not much to differentiate. Also this couple kinda has the same vibe like an Hollywood couple how they get surrounded by the paparazzi and the media a lot, it was very cute. Okay not Pei shaoze literally forget about his real life family from the moment he was reincarnated in the book like 💀💀 there was no mentioned of them until we reached 85% of the book.
This isn’t my first time reading Omegaverse and a transmigration novel so the setting wasn’t difficult for me.
I liked the main and the side characters! The story telling was easy to understand. I laughed how Pei Shaoze (was confused about the whole concept of this new world LMAO.
I loved the passion Cheng Xia had for acting and how Brother Pei always supported his Xia! Pei literally changing the plot of the original book to make Xia have a better life was so touching.
Overall the story stayed away from drama and angst, it was so sweet! And I must say that it’s slow-burn, they don’t end up together quickly, they really get to know each other and then the romance blooms.
I very much enjoy myself from start to finish! Also the extras made me tear a little bit but i’m glad it all ended well!
I’ve been having a rough time focusing on plot-heavy books lately because my free time just can’t keep up anymore. But one thing I always look forward to, whenever I actually get a moment to breathe, is reading. I saw 意外标记 recommended as a fluffy, light-hearted danmei with nothing too deep, and honestly, it was exactly what I needed. It took me an entire week to finish, but I enjoyed every minute of it. It wasn't hard to recall the story even with long breaks, because everything flows so smoothly, and the novel had so much more heart than I expected. I genuinely liked it!
Pei Shaoze and Cheng Xia is such a wonderful couple. I have nothing bad to say to them, I like them so much! Nothing felt overly sweet or cloying and I was simply having the best time every time I opened their book. They're also so funny! I especially liked in the early parts where they don't talk in the same channel; like when Cheng Xia is already thinking about their wedding but Pei Shaoze is just thinking about their first date, haha! Moreover, Pei Shaoze is such a good alpha, and Cheng Xia is such a lovely omega, they feel almost too good to be true, but in a way that hits the perfect spot for me. I also love the omega empowerment in this story, and I really appreciated how everything stayed smooth sailing. Sometimes, books like this are exactly what I need to get through the week.
I’m so glad Shaoze transmigrated, because he ended up helping everyone around him. Aside from the couple, I adore Shaoze's younger brother. Pei Shaoyan is such a good and hardworking kid, and seeing him thrive made me so happy. I love how everyone gets a happy ending. I even cried at the extra where Shaoze and Cheng Xia grow old together and die at the same time, like THEY ARE SO SOULMATES, I SWEAR. And then they meet again in the real world! I'm just so, so happy for them.
All in all, it was the perfect comfort read, and I'm so glad it found me when I needed it most.
I think this is my first time reading a story with this setting, but it was very refreshing and very easy to read!
I loved the main characters, as well as the supporting characters! I also enjoyed the acting scenes and the explanation about the acting industry!
I laughed at many parts of the story. Pei Shaoze changing the course of the original story where he transmigrated and ignoring the system was pure gold !!! I also laughed out loud at how he was trying to understand (with a lot of difficulty) the new world he was in.
Cheng Xia is a sunshine !!! I loved him soo much and I loved his never-ending passion in acting! I also laughed so much at his witticisms and how his imagination was running wild every time he was with Pei Shaoze !!
It's a story with a lot of fluffy moments, I must say, it's also a bit slow-burn (Quite a lot) however, I consider that I made the decision to read this story at the right time, for I couldn't stop reading and was totally captivated by the novel !!!
Loved it from beginning to end, a very nice and beautiful story. I also really liked the extras T-T they were so cute ❤️❤️
It's one of the best omegaverse's settings I've read. Only for that, it deserves a 5-star rating. The story was also great and the couple couldn't be more sweet, healthy, and well-balanced. It's hard to find an AO pairing like these two. I must admit that some details were left loose if I had to find faults. It didn't affect my reading, I only realized it when I finished it. For example, MC transmigrated into a game and had a system guiding him. From the very beginning, he didn't plan to follow the rules of said system, and that was cool. But to 'win' the game (and survive)MC had to complete missions or lose points if they failed. And he did fail on purpose. He had 35 points left around the middle of the story, but the system stopped reminding him of missions or how many points he had left. I forgot about it until the end 😂. I guess the author forgot too, LOL. Either way, that was not too relevant to the story. It was an incredible read for me! I need more omegaverse like this one, please!!!
This was so fluffy and exactly what I was looking for. I'll admit I was hesitant to start because I thought the synopsis meant Pei Shaoze would start in the novel-world after "accidentally" marking Cheng Xia, but he gets there right before and honestly bless this book and author. First off, the BEST kind of misunderstandings-- the ones where no one is hurt, they are just on different wave lengths for a bit. Then, OPEN COMMUNICATION! Pei Shaoze respects Cheng Xia and lets him know what is going on in the company and what is going on in the background, so Cheng Xia won't be surprised, shocked, caught off guard, or worried. We are here for alphas that respect and trust their omegas, thank you very much. Pei Shaoze is also very decisive and doesn't try to fix and keep relationships he know might be toxic later, he just cuts them off-- problem solved-- and like this is the best??
I think my problem with some of the angsty novels is that they don't feel realistic and act OOC in order to make problems. This book is 100% fluff so it felt like the characters were real. Do have to mention the Midas touch here-- they encounter pretty much zero obstacles because they are *that* amazing. They are amazing at everything they do and wow who couldn't love them??? So, if you're looking for a bit more conflict, you might want to pass on this one.
The ending made me tear up because of how happy I was and how absolutely loving this couple is. TBH, I was sooooo worried how the book/real world thing was going to go, but props to the author. I cannot imagine a better ending. Thinking about it and the e m o t i o n s they felt are seriously making my eyes water again. Ilovethemsomuch!!
Now, excuse me while I go find another book by this author to read because I need more! *I need more of this writing and more stories by them, I do want to mention that I think the flow and rhythm in this book is super well done even if the time table of the acting and production seemed very quick*
I kinda liked how the mc didn't use the system cheat code but used his own brains to create opportunities for the love interest and made into him a star, this was fun read
De verdad, disfruté mucho esta novela. Recomendada 💜
Refreshing reading. But it has a long way to go to compete with what I call " danmei masterpieces " Worth the effort, it gives an idea about the entertainment industry. Though I'm not sure if it's real or not 3.5*
ABO universes don’t really do it for me, but the author approached this concept with respect. For that, I give them kudos. At no point in the novel was non consent romanticized (which is a frequent problem in ABO stories), so I could still get into the plot without worrying about uncomfortable fetishization.
I gave this three stars for two reasons: 1) the age gap and 2) too much fluff. They really didn’t run into any problems, so after a while, the novel just dragged for me.
I rarely read novels with ABO setting. It's not that I don't like it, I'm just not used to it. But after reading this novel, I might consider reading more of this kind of setting.
This is such a sweet and fluffy read that was a good stress reliever. There was actually no deep plot and was mainly focus on the Pei Shaoze (MC) changing the dog-blood events from the OG book and protecting and paving the way for Cheng Xia (ML). I was actually hesitating when I read the 'misunderstanding' tag but fortunately, there were no angsty and frustrating misunderstandings that dragged the story, just sweet and funny misunderstandings that actually developed their relationship into a deeper one.
This novel has a seme protagonist and Pei Shaoze is such a good MC! He never took advantange of Cheng Xia, emotionally and sexually. He's such a cold and indifferent gentleman. On the other hand, Cheng Xia is a sunny, adorable and lively baby that deserves everything in the world. I also loved his wild imagination, when he already imagined his wedding with President Pei, their children's names and where they would go in kindergarten, when in reality, Pei Shaoze still considered himself as the 'father figure' who cultivated his seedling. He's so adorable! I really loved his cheerful aura! I actually can't imagine this sunny baby being tortured in every aspects in the OG book by the scum OG Pei Shaoze. I'm just glad that our own MC Pei Shaoze came and changed Cheng Xia's fate, treasured and protected him and preserved the pure cinnamon roll.
I also adored Pei Shaoyan as a supporting character. He's the actual wingman and the number one shipper of his older brother and his Cheng-ge. I also loved his character development, from an unruly and delinquent to gradually becoming a responsible person.
If you're looking for a quick, fun and relaxing story with a simple storyline, this novel is for you. Definitely a stress reliever. I highly recommend this one to everyone!
This one is just pure diabetics. If you want a completely unproblematic omegaverse, with a supportive and respectful MC and a cute and hardworking love interest, this one is for you. The two grow closer slowly, and even when they’re on completely different pages (accidentally), they’re always harmonious and supportive. While there are antagonists, they’re small and inconsequent and easily dealt with. The story is mostly a slice-of-life type of tale about two people falling in love and developing in their relationships and careers.
My only negative comment would be both characters reaction to kiss scenes. If Cheng Xia’s goal is to become a top actor, he can’t really avoid kiss scenes, and if Pei Shaoze wants to support his career and growth, he can’t just continently find excuses to erase all kiss scenes from Cheng Xia’s scripts. And yet, the book takes great care to mention how Cheng Xia feels uncomfortable to kiss anyone other than Pei Shaoze, even as part of a scene, and how Pei Shaoze can’t stand to watch Cheng Xia kiss other people so he finds a clever way to ensure it doesn’t happen. To me, that’s not really romantic or conducive to the character’s goal ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Aside for that, it’s just super sweet and super healing story (with a good translation!). Read it when you just need to unwind.
Story and Setting –16/20 Characters –18/20 Relationships –17/20 Translation – 15/20 Reading Experience –15/20
This novel being in the POV of the gong made for a different reading experience. The story started out strong but as it progressed, I thought there was too much filler content that could have been removed. I ended up skipping some chapters at a time after reaching the halfway point of the story and it didn't affect my understanding of the story at all.
I did like Pei Shaoze (MC) because he was mature, kind and respectful, not only towards Cheng Xia (ML) but also to the other characters. I liked how protective he was over CX but he didn't try to possess or dominate him. Instead his priority was to ensure CX's happiness and successful career. And although he was business-savvy, he wasn't the brightest when it came to feelings and the ABO world so that was kind of funny.
Overall this is a light-hearted and fluffy novel with two adults in a healthy relationship despite the age gap. Then again, it wasn't a huge age gap. The writing was easy to read and the plot was fine, it's just the pacing was a bit slow and the characters quite shallow so I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would.
picked this up again after so long. worth the time! it's such a fluffy warm story about an alpha & omega (they have twins at the end 🥳)
i like they have a relationship that subtlety declare and so loyal to eo. the details about omega's journey of acting & alpha's as producer also jjangg 👍🏻
Bacalah kalian bagi yang butuh crita : - teramat ringan - penyejuk hati - super green flag gong x cutie shou - showbiz progress from zero to hero - abo - mpreg - Transmigration
- Pei Shaoze, GONG IDAMAN. He is walking green flag banget. Dari awal dia kerja profesional banget, ampe jadi ideal partner, ahh.... Bikin sy tergila gila. - Cheng Xia. Ini shou ajaib apa jenius. Udah dapet levelan Pei Shaoze, karirnya MELEJIT. Sluruh hidup dia bikin ngiri banget sumpah. Aku beberapa baca showbiz kebanyakan fokus nya their relationship within their work at the backstage... Jadi aku liatnya , ini crita ngasih pelajaran bagus jg soal esensial nya menjadi artis kek gmn. - ceritanya dari 0 ampe akhir banget. Pokoknya riwayat Psz x Cx ngalir ampe *bip*. Aku yg baca bener bener kebawa " arus" plotnya dgn damai sentosa. Sedih, seneng, bahagianya terasa sekali.
Ah pokoknya se SMOOTH gitu critanya.
T A P I
Aku baca jd cepet banget krn scene nya terlalu obvious. - NODRAMA DRAMA. Memang rasanya ni cerita terlalu sehat jadinya, jd skali ada moment yg agak dramatis, jdnya biasa aja. Kurang menantang... ( Tapi dibumbuin Pei Shaoze, jd ga hambar... Wkwk. )
Bukan berarti no drama ga ada adegan sedihnya. Ada malah aku pernah nangis krn ni buku haha
So yeah, rekomen banget buat yg butuh bacaam selepas baca yang berat berat!
A nice, sweet, cute story about the entertainment industry.
Pei Shaoze is a serious businessman with little interest or time for romance. On suddenly waking up after transmigrating into a novel he recently heard from his sister, he is surprised and badly culture-shocked on realising it is an ABO setting. Yes, that ABO setting.
Things are unintentionally comedic in his relationship with a new and upcoming artist - Cheng Xia, an omega - who is the protagonist of the novel and the character who Pei Shaoze is meant to build a positive impression on. This is the first time I've read a novel which takes the culture shock value into account!
Pei Shaoze keeps treating Cheng Xia like a younger brother at first, to be cared for and supported. But in this strange novel world, they're on opposite gender spectrums and his special "care" is misinterpreted every time as romantic interest. Of course, once the relationship genuinely develops, those old misunderstandings end up proving useful.
The age gap between them does feel a little strange at first - especially to Pei Shaoze himself. He was 30 years old when he transmigrated into a 26 year old novel Pei Shaoze, while Cheng Xia is just 18. He continues to feel mentally 30 throughout, so the relationship development is well shown and begins mostly from Cheng Xia's end.
As for the power imbalance, one can say that despite Pei Shaoze being the boss and Cheng Xia an employee, Cheng Xia's status as protagonist helps bridge that gap. In the original novel, Cheng Xia ends up stabbing Pei Shaoze as revenge, so his protagonist halo is quite strong.
In the end, all I will say is that this is a wonderful comfort read! Do give it a try if you're interested. The translator has also done a wonderful job!
Pei Shaoze transmigrated into a novel and he was supposed to be a dirtball. Cheng Xia, the protagonist whose pheromones went out of control was marked by the original Pei Shaoze and ruined his life. In five years Cheng Xia will stab him to death. Pei Shaoze who didn't want that decided to help Cheng Xia to avoid the dark future. It was another cliché story where the male lead will help the protagonist in order to prevent his death in the near future. I didn't like the part in the story wherein it got a bit too long on the shootings and other movie stuff, it was detailed so much that it got a bit dull in the middle. The development of the romance between main characters was a bit poor, they could have done more so that we would really feel the romance. The pacing was okay, wasn't too fast nor slow. The story was also quite predictable first they would misunderstand each other and the next thing they'd fall in love with each other. There wasn't too much unnecessary drama and action. After the whole conflict was solved, I was expecting that the story would be more wholesome, and I was also expecting to see more of their kids and their journey towards parenthood, I was patiently waiting for that only to be disappointed. But still, it made me feel giddy so, and I like how the story ended. Although it was another typical story it was a good one, I would recommend this to those who enjoys this kind of trope, it may get a bit boring still, it was enjoyable.
To tell the truth, this is not what I've expected but its a very nice novel. I'm not disappointed at all!
The story itself is sweet and warm. We have some cute misunderstandings, but its not drama, its a sweet comedy. I'm very happy that the relationships are not based on abuse or drama, they speak, trust each other and this is so nice. The MC is steady and mature, a bit cute it his own way. I like this types of man, and ML is a really god pair for him. They work together, help each other and support though the story.
ML is a cute and sweet baby being pampered by MC, but not useless. He can fight for himself if needed and the personality is nice. A bit naïve, cute but serious and hard-working. I'm happy for my MC to have this sweet little orange with him.
The plot is quite simple, slice of life without specific direction of face-slapping or revenge. Its an entertainment story, and I've read a number of similar, but this one has its own taste. Is it because the prospective is different? I'm not sure. But there is really some unique taste than others entertainment novels. Its a good point here.
In conclusion, I can't say its the best story, but this is definitely a wonderful read. I was laughing and my heart was very sweet reading this. Not boring, not dramatic, but very very comfortable. Totally recommend to give it a go.
The whole novel is just really chill, at times got a little boring to me BUT that ending saved it OH BOY
I wish that ending was the ending for the main story and then the extras would just show snippets of how their life turned out in the real world without the ABO setting but it's fine ig, understandable 😌
Anyway, this was a VERY SWEET story, sometimes too sweet it gets a little cringe-y, y'know, like how if you have couple friends and every time they flirt with each other you just get this ✨cringe✨ and then the very strong feeling of being a third wheel 🥲
That aside, it's really quite interesting, specially how it shows a glimpse of how an entertainment company works? Obviously it's probably not the same as the real thing but still, the author must've done their research about the entertainment industry so it must hold some truth in there.
Anyway this was really nice, took me a while to finish it cause I got distracted but EY I FINISHED IT SO THAT'S WHAT'S IMPORTANT 😃
