The new Annabelle Archer box set is a perfect introduction to the Anabelle Archer wedding planner/murder mystery books by Laura Durham. It contains 4 superfun books - Better Off Wed, For Better or Hearse, Dead Ringer and Review to a Kill. In the first one you will be introduced to Annabelle Archer, a wacky Washington D.C. based wedding planner and her friends/cohorts as they plan weddings and solve murders. By the end of this first book you will feel like you have known them forever. Annabelle has a talent for discovering dead bodies, and each book has a different premise revolving around the wedding industry. You will also be introduced to several insane bridezillas whose ideas of the perfect weddings are so over the top you will be hysterical when you imagine the scenes! Laura Durham does a great job of mixing in comedy, romance and mystery to create the perfect cozy mystery reads. There are just enough clues to keep you guessing and entertained throughout.
Even if you have already read some of the books in the set it is still a great value. And they are even fun to read the second time around! The set would make the perfect gift for any of your reading friends.

DELIGHTFUL!
Laura Durham’s delightful Annabelle Archer Series is one of my favorites! She has conveniently packaged Books 1-4 in this set for a great Beach Read, carpool line reading or anytime reading! Annabelle is head of Wedding Belles, one of Washington, DC’s top Wedding Planners. She has a fantastic assistant and has a great group of independent contractors that always work her Weddings - a Hairstylist, Caterer & Florists. Between them working together like a well-oiled machine, they can please even the craziest Bridezilla of all! Funny thing though, something mysterious always seems to happen at their venues. Something like MURDER. Good thing they have a hunky Detective assigned to their first case. Wonder if he’ll be more involved than just being a detective? Such entertaining, laugh out loud, books that keep your attention from beginning to the end. I was provided an ARC of this book by the Author. This is a great set of the first four books in the Annabelle Archer Mystery Series. Each book is filled with quirky, charming characters set in the wacky and stressful world of wedding planning. The mysteries are very different from each other and consequently have a slightly different feel. What they share in common is the plethora of suspects, great clues, danger and suspense. In addition, it was delightful to see how the characters grew and developed over the four books. The writing is creative and witty with just the right amount of humour and suspense to hold the readers interest. I look forward to more books in this series.

Being a wedding planner can be murder
Four thoroughly enjoyable stories of murder and robbery against the sometimes chaotic backdrop of weddings and bridal shows.
Having been in the bridal industry myself, I particularly enjoyed the story set at a bridal show. It brought back memories of the craziness of the pre show set up and the crush of hundreds of giggly brides.
The characters are fun and the mysteries are all very cleverly developed. Clearly the author knows DC really well so the reader feels like they have visited the places described.
I definitely recommend reading these books.

Laura Durham has quickly become one of my favorite authors and this series is the reason! Delightful characters plopped into outrageously funny wedding or wedding-themed events have you smiling, giggling, and then laughing. Add in the mystery and suspense of a murder and you have a winning combo. The only thing these books will leave you wanting is the next book in the series! Absolute enjoyment!

If you like mystery, murder and wonderfully hilarious mayhem the Annabelle Archer books are for you. Who knew that wedding planning could be so dangerous and such fun. Laura Durham is to be congratulated for putting together a team of the most delightfully eccentric people I have met in print whilst weaving a well planned murder or two into the mix. I have not put a finish date because I am now re-reading the books and still laughing.

Lots of luck, knowing just the right people, and a bit of smarts helps these two wedding planners solve the murders that just keep popping up around them. Annabelle, Kate, Richard the caterer best friend, Fern the hair stylist to the wealthy, and Leatrice, the nosy but sweet elderly neighbor manage to gather clues that the police can't while always ending up in hot water themselves.
A bunch of wacky characters which makes this a funny series too.

Got this set as part of a stuff your Kindle day and have zero regrets about it! Such a fun collection of stories about Annabelle Archer wedding planner and moonlighting detective on the side!😆 Each character was fleshed out and memorable! No character felt unnecessary to the plot, which I loved! Sometimes when I read books that have a long list of characters, I feel like the plot gets crowded because there's to many people to keep track of. I appreciated the change of pace! However, I didn't give these books the full rating because I really didn't appreciate the body negativity jokes. Having Annabelle constantly thinking she's not fit and not eating and comparing her body to her friends in a joking matter was not okay. These books would have been better had they not included those jokes.

I had only read the first book in this set, so I enjoyed getting to find out things like how Annabell's relationship with the detective progressed and how Butterscotch (the dog) came to be known as Hermès.
I liked all the stories, but Dead Ringer was probably my favorite. Lots of twists and action. Review to a kill felt just a little edgier than the other Annabelle books I've read. That's not a bad thing, it just surprised me a little. All in all, it's a good collection with a good variety of characters and mysteries and I had fun reading them.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Cozy mystery with a scoop of DC!
Well-written, with well-developed characters and a splash of reality! Living in the DC area, I recognized the different areas described in the book, including Georgetown’s parking limitations, so felt more involved in the stories. I even looked up the restaurant and the bridal store named in the books, and found out both were actually real locations! Highly recommended!

Refreshing, New and Very Entertaining.
I have it a 5 Star Rating because caught and held my attention from chapter 1 till the end. It was funny but mysterious. You can't tell what the next book in the series could be but you can't wait to jump into the next book. All the characters are believable. It's a must read. Thank you Laura Durham.

The bonus epilogues are worth adding the box set to your collection
I'm one of those guys who watches the bonus features on DVDs, so when I saw that this box set had a couple bonus epilogues I decided to get it. The short vignettes give glimpses into Annabelle and Reese's early relationship and are fun to read.

Fun reads
Loved reading the books. Lots of adventures and mis-adventures to keep the reader intrigued and involved trying to determine the guilty before getting to the end of the book. A must read for anyone who likes comedy, romance and mystery. Wonderful memorable main characters.

A really fun read

Fantastic Read
I thought the Annabelle Archer Collection Books 1-4 were fantastic! I did not want to put them down. There were twists and turns and surprises everywhere. Great writing Laura Durham. I highly recommend these books!!!

Fun
Absolutely charming. I have always loved interesting conversations and patter between characters. Very stereotyped but cute and fun.
I even watched a part of a Kitty O'Day movie.

totally unrealistic fun
These books are clean in all aspects and can be thoroughly enjoyed, laughing as you go from happy to horrified as nothing is really taken seriously except being considered a suspect for a murderer.
