A Cat Named Lump

Rate this book
A collection of the gloriously weird and mildly gross for ages 5 to adult. These poems will make you laugh out loud, raise your eyebrows, smack your forehead, and think "I don't know what just happened, but I want more."
48 poems with illustrations. 88 pages. 10,000 pounds of fun. A teaspoon of strange. 2 cups of catchy rhymes. Mixed in a large bowl and baked at 400 degrees. Don't eat it, though.
Remember, it's okay to laugh at the gross things life throws at you. It's even better to share those laughs with your family and friends.

I post new content and poems twice a week.

I write humorous and weird poetry and stories for children and teens. Occasionally I even write a few serious things. Working on 2 more books during the times that I should be sleeping.
My day job is electrical engineer and dad of 3. My daughters are the inspiration for many of my poems and stories. My talented wife edited and designed my first book and published it.
Besides children's books, I also enjoy science fiction novels and physics books.

This book is so great! I find myself chuckling at the cleverness and silliness of the poems! There’s some new ways of describing things I’ve not heard before, but are very accurate! For example, he describes being about to puke as going to “remix the salsa” or “burp the rainbow.” One of my favorites is “The Noah’s Ark Burger,” which raises an important question of what animal does baloney come from?? I also really love “Nursery Grimes!” This book is a lot of fun and both children and adults (at least the cool ones) can enjoy!

Very clever and fun!! My grandchildren think the poems are hilarious and if I’m being honest I find them pretty humerus too!!

It's my own book, so I may be slightly biased with the rating. Had a great time writing these poems with my family and working with an artist that has a unique style. I do get a chuckle every time I read it, especially "Feeling Fancy".
This book is for ages 6-12, but some poems are a wee bit gross. Not all parents will approve - just the cool ones with a good sense of humor.
