The Maharaja’s Fake Fiancée

Rate this book
A scandal-averse Maharaja.
A free-spirited actress.
What do you get when throw them together and add a fake engagement to the mix?
Depending on whom you ask, you either get a match made-in-heaven or a royal disaster.

Nivy Sharma knows exactly what she needs - the freedom to be herself and follow her passion. Guess what she doesn’t need? A tailor-made husband.

When her meddlesome mother tries to throw her into the arms of a mom-approved suitor, Nivy runs the other way.

Right into the arms of the man who shattered her heart.

His Highness Veerendra Singh can recognise a pain-in-the-ass when he sees it. Especially when it falls into his arms.

Even if said pain-in-the-ass has legs that go on forever and lush lips that just beg to be kissed, Veer vows to run the other way. As he did once before...

But, when the marriage-minded princess of Tejpur sets her sights on him, Veer runs back into Nivy’s arms to propose a fake engagement.

When 'fake' starts to feel very real, Nivy and Veer have to decide what is important… long-held prejudices or the chance for a life with the only person they've ever loved.

Will this be their second chance at love or will their broken past ruin their hope for a shared future?

I just finished The Maharaja’s Fake Fiancee by Alisha Kay, her debut romance and had I not known this beforehand, I would never have guessed that this is her first book!

I absolutely adored Alisha’s vivid, witty and fluid narration. She had me laughing out loud one moment and then smoothly shifting to an emotional state with tears in my eyes the next.

Nivy and Veer won my heart right from the start. They traded barbs and bantered like kids and provided many moments of comic relief throughout the book. Their sizzling chemistry will have you fanning yourself because it will have you feeling hot and definitely naughty! Without seeming crass, the author has beautifully brought to life sex scenes that are elegant and soulful.

I also loved Rani Ma and Jessie. Throughout the book there are hints of another delicious romance brewing in the background and I am so eager to get to that. I will not share my guesses on who this mysterious love struck couple is. Read the book and take your own guess. DM me after and we can trade guesses then!

Sweet, light, engaging and complete with a happily-ever-after we all crave for, this Indian royal romance will have you swooning, laughing, sighing and thoroughly entertained throughout. It has everything you love in a romance and then some. Njkinny recommends this lovely and fun second chance love story to all romance lovers above the age of eighteen. 5 out of 5 super shiny stars to this fun Desi romance.

The story is a fast paced romance which left me with a smile on my face for a long time. Not to mention that the story also stayed with me for long, and is still my go to story when I am in a bad mood.
I loved the characters, be it Nivy or Veer or Jessie or Aryan and even Rani Ma. The relationship between Jessie and Veer and their mother has been portrayed beautifully. I loved the easy camaraderie between the siblings and also between Nivy and Veer.
The story has been written well, in first person from the point of Nivy and in third person from the point of Veer. I loved that we could get a glimpse of their emotions. The book is hilarious and also serious at times. The scenes have been described in detail and could be easily picturized.
I want to read the story of Aryan and Jayshree as soon as I can, because they have kept me hanging.
A must, must read with a warning that this book is unputdownable.
An excellent debut. Waiting to read more from the author.

Veerendra Singh, the Maharaja of Devgarh, have everything in his life, girls went crazy for his looks and bank balance and cross their limits now and then to woo him but his heart holds someone else and that someone was none other than his sister Jessie's childhood bestie Nivy Sharma.
However, the problem was that Nivy left Devgarh 5 years ago to become an actress and she too achieved her dreams but Nivy came back to her hometown after losing her earnings in a film that took a back seat due to lack of funds.

And also in Devgarh, her life was not easy, her mom forced her to settle down and marry and for this, she fixed a meeting of her daughter with Dr Jay that too at the Palace.

When Nivy accidentally met his Highness, Veer, hell loose broke, they ended up kissing each other, though the kisses were meant only to confuse the people forced on them by their mothers.
And then came a plan in Veer's mind which was a fake engagement.

But destiny has other plans for these two. Read this salacious novel to find out how long Veer and Nivy fake this engagement.

This book is a full-on entertainer, from the very first page till the end it didn't allow me to shift my gaze and I was glued to it till the last.

The story is written at a fast pace, however, the thing which put me off was the narration style picked by the author. The story is being narrated from both Nivy and Veer's POV where Nivy's part is written in the first person whereas for Veer's part the author has used the third person narrative.

Strong characters created by the author help to understand the story properly. And the bond shared by the Royal family is something to look for.
Now, for the erotic part - the way everything is described and mentioned can easily turn anyone on 🤪

I enjoyed reading this book so much and would love to read more by the author.
If you are looking for a hot, humorous and sensual rom-com then do pick this one.

The plot of the story is quite well-done and the ingredients that Alisha has put in to cook up this tale feel amazing. The plot has an interesting curve that goes up and down, making the reader turn the pages without a break. The relationship between Veer, Nivy, Jessie and the other characters are well defined and add to the story. The sweet-sour exchanges between Nivy and Veer are amazing, and they seem almost real in they way they have been detailed and described. The plot has flavors of sweet and spicy, and some of the scenes are quite graphic and detailed, hence advisable to mature audiences only. The idea of love has been explored nicely with Jessie on one hand and Nivy and Veer on the other. Alisha has also wonderfully explored the idea of uncertainty and fears in a relationship and how that can affect the people who are in that situation. I loved the scene with the dhaba, and the one with the earrings as it was just the primary characters and their emotions driving it. The climax was a bit cliché, but well done so no complaints on that end.

Coming to the characters, I would say that Veer as a character did impress me, especially with the layers of emotions he exhibits, along with the love he brings out. Another character who deserves a mention is that of Rani Ma, and how her steadfastness and the ability to understand her children adds to their own characters. This is another aspect of love that Alisha has portrayed beautifully. Alisha’s female characters have a steadfastness that I would love to see in the other characters she creates, for each of the characters in this one, be it Nivy’s Mother, Rani Ma, Jessie, Nivy or for that matter Anika exhibit it and are the forces driving the narrative.

A special mention to the nicknames that Veer gets called and calls Nivy in the book as they add a certain rustic charm to the story and makes it a notch better.

Maharaj Veerendra Singh, the king of Devgarh has sworn himself to be away from scandals while Nivy Sharma, a successful Bollywood actress has turned broke and returned to her hometown Devgarh to bounce back to her career. Her best friend and younger sister of Veer, Jayshree Devi aka Jessie has decided to marry the yuvraj of Tejpur and that’s where their worlds collide! Veer is indebted to the king of Tejpur who had helped his family when his father died. With the new proposal from the Tejpur king and Nivy’s mom’s constant bickering, both of them get into a fake relationship! Why both of them tread this dangerous path, what has made Veer scandal averse and what happens to their relationship is worth finding out.

The book has an adorable pair of siblings which I could totally relate to. Veer is like the prince charming and Nivy plays an excellent role in putting him in his right place. And the uber cool, observant and sarcastic Rani Ma makes the story an enjoyable read. The other characters in the story are also properly placed, narration is vivid and the flow is lucid.

I would say, just go, grab the book and start reading it. You would not be able to keep it aside till you finish it.

Closer to a high 3.5. Sparkling, witty banter, and very funny. Nice chemistry between the characters, esp. Veer and Nivy. The royal setting and the supporting characters were all fun (apart from perhaps one very 'cliched to the point of obnoxious' character). However, at times a little shallow (substance-wise) and could have benefited from a little breathing room between the relentless heavy-banter-and-quip-filled scenes. That said, a very good debut, and I enjoyed my time with it. I look forward to future books in the series. The author's note at the end about what we can expect from her heroines and their men has my whole heart (no damsels need apply!). It's about time we had a decent desi rom-com series!

2.5🌟

Something being so stupid that it's funny and you actually like it ....yeah this 🤣
Too close to home at points, but too illogical at others, and could have been a little slower of a pace, given the plot timw to develop.
Also it ended as soo as it began, like I started reading it after dinner today - after 9:30, and I'm writing this review here at 12:20 so...
Dissappointed because this book could have been so satisfying if it were a little lengthier, a bit more well written, and edited, even by an amateur like me, for god's sake!

Ok I'll end it here!

A debut that has wholesome emotions is a debut to go for. I loved contemporary romances as a 13-year-old, the phase didn't last long and I turned to more complex genres but I always rejoice thinking about them and occasionally get back to reading a few books from the same. I love to explore Indian authors with works about romance, there is a noir-ish, subtle and electric feeling about most of them and this book was filled with those.

The author is splendidly skilled with her tots in humor, the witty writing is sublime and one would enjoy the subtleness in them. But she is also skilled in the dynamics of human behavior and the changes in scenes reflected with dialogues and paragraphs will tell you exactly how to be laughing in one second about tits-tats of quarrels and then in the very next, empathizing with the emotional bursts.
The book is actually very beautifully written!

The romance between Nivi and Veer is sweet at times, beautiful at times, and very hot. The details are graphic and vivid! Get ready for them to be saucy but also very soulful.
The main romance was the big focus, sure but a good story also has great side stories and the author did not fail to provide that!

This book is engaging, bubbly, sweet, hot in a few moments, subtle with details and beautifully written! Such a delight!

First, She kissed a Maharaja of Devgarh Palace without any business and intention of kissing him but for all the wrong reasons. Then he kissed him back, again for all the wrong reasons, and now he was asking her to marry him. Nivy was awestruck as they had not set their eyes on each other in five years, and now, His Highness Veerendra Singh was asking Nivy the actress to have a fake engagement with an expiry date just to fool their respective families.

But this fake engagement was getting way out of hand. Nivy moved with her things to the Palace to make the plan look real of course with her mother and Rani Ma’s permission. How things and intentions changed for both of them now or was it was 5 years before?????

It’s a novel mixed with lots of love and lust. I really enjoyed every bit of it that looked like a movie to me. I was imagining things actually wild ones that sent a spark through my whole body and it seems ok for a women of my age. I thoroughly enjoyed your work author Alisha Kay.

An engaging power packed book!

This is a story of a true steaming love over a fake claim, friendships, jealousy, second chance and the typical family drama. I was skeptical before starting the book. But it took me on surprise by its splendid fast paced narration. They were hilarious, sarcastic, funny and parallely deep and filled with emotions. They reminded me of Shilpa Suraj's books which had similar power packed narration. And I truly enjoyed this book as hers. The author knows how to engage the readers untill the end. Along with the frenetic family drama, there were scenes of intense love filled with lust and desperation.
I loved Veer's characters, but Nivy's too a well deserved one. While Veer was an eligible bachelor of the city, with a calm and polite nature; Nivy was confident, fearless and sensitive. The language was flawless except there were some avoidable errors towards the later half of the book.

A second chance Romance

It was a good read.. the kind you finish in a single go. All the characters were well written and adorable in their own ways.
It was funny, Romantic, a bit sorrowfull and thrilling which was a complete package.
I absolutely loved Veer's character but Nivy not as much.
Alisha has portrayed really well through both their characters that not just the past incidences but also the love and support of our loved ones morph's us.
Nivy's character is the one with prejudice but blames Veer.
Would have loved to read more about Jessie's character but I suppose that's for the next book in the series.
Also, the biggest let down was the Epilogue which could have been written a little better and maybe with their future without mentioning other characters in case of any spoiler's.
It felt like an abrupt end.
A light and fun read.

For a romance novel to succeed, certain parameters must be met. The chemistry between the protagonists should be sizzling; The dialogues crisp; the story should move at a fast pace; packed with emotions, and if possible, keep the reader chuckling. The Maharaja’s Fake Fiancee ticks all the above requirements successfully. It is an engrossing light-hearted book, a perfect escape from these gloomy days.

Wonderful Second Chance Romance

Nivy is strong and fiesty, Veer is understanding Haughtines and this book is overall unputdownable.. Liked the plot a lot. Readers looking for a quick light read would love this book... The writing is so great and story so engaging, it would be hard to guess that The Maharaja's Fake Fiancée is author Alisha Kay's debut book. Kudos for penning down a wonderful Romance.

Absolutely loved it!!!

A maharaja romance with no stops. A great, fun read! Completely de-stressed me. The dialogues are witty, the plot arc is well-planned and the characters are well etched. The book hooks you right away. A few allusions are Indian, for sure, but nothing that will trip someone not familiar with the background. I recommend this for a fun, light read.

Alisha Kay has impressed me with her engrossing storytelling in her debut book, The Maharaja’s Fake Fiancée. It’s a steamy romance with a side of family drama and a generous dollop of feminism.

Although the story is not unique, Alisha’s style of telling it gives it fresh life. Somehow, I kept thinking of the Fawad Khan-Sonam Kapoor film Khoobsurat while reading the book. Maharaja Veer would certainly fit Fawad Khan’s character in the movie with his pride, painful history, and personality quirks.

Alisha turns on the steam in the first few pages and you know it’s going to be a wild ride of ebbing and rising emotions. It’s clear that Veer and Nivy have some sort of past, but what that is exactly is revealed much later. Alisha is adept at giving you all the feel with her descriptions of the encounters between these two.

The descriptions of the Devgarh Palace are enough to make you drool, especially if you’re into ancient artifacts the way I am. The rooms, the furniture, the grounds, the properties — I wanted to be right there in the story to experience it first-hand.

This royal-meets-commoner second-chance romance will make you go weak in the knees and turning the pages faster until you get the HEA you didn’t even know you’re craving for. There’s a pleasant twist towards the end where we learn more about “Maharaja” Veer and his various occupations.

Nivy Sharma, the childhood friend of Veer’s sister Jessie, and consequently known to him all his life, was somewhat of an enigma. How does someone who has successfully fought against the casting couch allow herself to be bullied by her overbearing mother? Perhaps successful people are more insecure than I thought. Success is probably fleeting and the rich and famous feel are desperate to keep it in hand.

How can a spicy romance be complete without some evil, heartless characters trying to ruin it all? Between Anika, her mother Sheela Devi, and Nivy’s mother, I couldn’t decide who was more despicable. Nivy’s mother was an especially terrible person but I know that there are many real-life people who would think nothing of putting down their daughters while tolerating every misdemeanor of their sons.

I welcomed the discourse around Nivy’s profession and Veer’s support of her choice to follow her passion. Books should show both sides of society–the misogynistic people putting down women for pretty much everything and the progressive people speaking up to change entrenched beliefs.

The Maharaja’s Fake Fiancée is a desi romance with modern settings and raunchy characters. It mashes together several popular romance fiction tropes — second chance, fake relationship, and friends to lovers–in an entertaining and oh-so-hot story that will have you swooning away.

This is Devgarh Royals Book 1 and I can’t wait to see who gets the spotlight in the next book. Perhaps it’s Jessie and her mysterious decision to marry an unsuitable man?

The title of the book proclaims it a romance, but the reader is plunged into the tragic backstory of the Devgarh Royals on page one itself through a newspaper report, proving that this is much more than a romantic read.

The main protagonists are His Highness Veerendra Singh and Nivy Sharma, around whom the whole plot is woven in a manner that is dexterous and intriguing. Veer’s sister, Yuvrajkumari Jayshree Devi aka the irreverent Jessie is all set to marry Deependra Singh Dogra, the portly son the Maharawal of Tejpur. Likewise, the Maharawal is keen on his daughter, the determined Anika, marrying Veer in an exchange marriage.

Rani Ma, Veer’s mother’s only condition is that her son should marry a girl who will not bring shame to their family. The fast-paced and witty retorts between the mother and her offspring set the ball rolling to make the book a rib-tickler.

Nivy Sharma, the so-called proverbial black sheep of her family, is a rebel who runs away to Mumbai to be an actress. She has her paragon of an older doctor brother, Aryan, who never puts a foot wrong and a Mrs. Bennett kind of mother who is desperate for her daughter to marry and settle down. When one reads between the lines, there are poignant hints, now and then, which indicate why she is the way she is.

Enter the highly unsuitable Dr. Jay Malhotra, and in evading him, Nivy runs into the arms of Veer, all over again after five years.

The dialogues are hilarious and racy, and when Nivy and Veer get into a fake engagement, many feathers are ruffled. While they blow hot, blow cold, the readers are thoroughly entertained by the antics of the feisty heroine, the dashing hero and the incorrigible matchmaking mama. The minor characters also provide myriad moments of amusement. However, any girl who has to suffer a pain-in-the-neck mother like Nivy’s deserves oodles of sympathy.

How does the imbroglio get solved finally? Is there a happily-ever-after in store for the protagonists? The entertainment continues unabated as personalities clash, emotions explode, and fireworks ensue as Cupid aims his arrows at all and sundry, till the last exciting moment when everything falls into place.

The cover image is strikingly appropriate and sets the light tone that makes the book an easy and entertaining read.

The Maharaja’s Fake Fiancée by Alisha Kay is the first book in the Devgarh Royal Series. It is the story of Nivy Sharma who is an actress and lived in Mumbai before coming home to Devgarh, where she meets Veerendra Singh, the Maharaja of Devgarh, again, after five years. When her mother tries to match her up with a man approved by her, and Veer is being sighted by the Princess of Tejpur whom he can't stand, they both propose a fake engagement. What will happen when the 'fake' does not seem that fake anymore? Will they be able to give a second chance to each other or will their past come in their way? Read the book to know more.

This is my third book by the author this year and I am in love with her writing. I read the third book in the series "The Price And The Runaway Bride" earlier than this, and after reading it, I knew I needed to read the earlier parts of the series as well, and "Bad Girl Gone Good" is definitely one of my favourite reads of this year, so I have had high hopes with the book, and thankfully it didn't disappoint!

I loved reading the banter between the protagonists' and the names that Nivy gave to "His Highness". The book has a very fast pace and there is a lot of drama and things happening. The book gave a lot of Bollywood vibes and it was very filmy and entertaining.

The characters have their share of problems and the family dynamics play a key role in the book. Nivy's relationship with her parents is quite complicated and so does with her brother Aryan. At the same time, Veer finds himself quite comfortable with her family, and the contrast gives a beautiful perspective to the story.

Although I felt that the ending was a little rushed and if given a little more time, it would have been more connective. Also, I would have loved to see more of the protagonists' character development with each other and their families. And I can't wait to see more of Rani Ma, hopefully in the next part of the series. The characters of Jessie and Aryan were quite intriguing and I am excited to read about them in the next part.

It's a book that can easily be finished in a day and something that can uplift your mood and recuse you from your reading slump, in case you have! Overall, it was a fun, humourous, fast-paced rom-com that can entertain you.

Full review on my blog:
https://blog.medhaapps.com/2021/04/bo...

Nivy Sharma is back in her hometown Devgarh, after five years of working in the movie industry. Her latest movie for which she invested her entire career earnings is abruptly halted. While she is searching for prospective investors to restart the movie, her mother is eager to get her married to end her passion for movies.

Veerendra Singh, the young Maharaja of Devgarh feels obliged to marry Anika, the daughter of Maharawal for the help he extended after the sudden death of Veerendra’s father. In a bid to get rid of the alliance with Anika, Veer fakes love and engagement with Nivy, best friend of his sister Jess. Nivy also readily agrees to Veer’s idea, to get rid of the suitors her mother is arranging for her.

However, Veer and Nivy have a past and both have their own reservations and doubts about this fake relationship. Will they be able to carry forward this drama without breaking each other’s hearts forms the rest of the story.

The premise of a reunion story in the backdrop of present-day Maharaja is the USP of the story which the author built well. The charisma of Rani Ma and Veer have been established well by the author as their royal lineage plays a major part of their characters’ sketch. The conversations between Veer and Nivy are witty and dripping with sarcasm. The narration keeps alternating between Nivy and Veer but still the author succeeds in keeping the flow intact. The description of the Devgarh palace and Shikar Bari will transport the reader to the grandeur and luxe lifestyle of the royals.

I wish Jess and Aryan’s characters were explored more as they are relegated to the background in the second half. The point of conflict between Veer and Nivy could have been stronger to make the narration more interesting. Also, some sentences have been repeated by the characters making them sound redundant.

For a debut, the author does a very good job and establishes as someone to look out for. If modern day romances interest you then pick this one, as the story entertains from start to finish.

Fun and fulfilling read.

My rating: 4.5/5
Nivy Sharma, a successful actress, returns to her hometown after losing the funding for her upcoming film. When she is forced to meet Dr. Jay by her mother, she tries to escape from the arms of this supposedly perfect but stinky smelling suitor and lands in the arms of her long lost but lifelong crush, His Higness, and Maharaja of Devgrah, Veerendra Singh. He suggests a plan to get rid of the irksome Dr. Jay, which would also help him get rid of Anika, who seems hell bent on marrying the Maharaja, despite his attempts to thwart her advances. Will they be able to escape these unwanted relationships, while also keeping their obvious attraction towards each other, in check?

What I liked about the book:
-> The relationship between Jessie (Veer's sister) and Veer and their mother has been portrayed beautifully.
-> The story has been written well, in first person from the point of Nivy and in third person from the point of Veer.
-> The book is hilarious as the repartees keep you chuckling.
-> The scenes have been described in detail and could be easily picturized.
-> The story ticks all the requirements of a Romcom successfully, right from a sizzling chemistry between the protagonists to crisp dialogues and funny moments.

What I did not like about the book:
-> The character of Nivy's mother and how she constantly keeps putting Nivy down.
-> I wish we could learn more about Abhay and Jessie.

Quotable quotes:
-> There's nothing fair about life. We just have to make the best of what we have.
-> People don't give a fig about your clout, when they have the upper hand.
-> Women are not helpless creatures needing some rich guy to pay for them all the time. We can pay our own way.
-> People are precious, not things.
-> It is unfair on anyone to shy away from the chance of true happiness.

The Maharaja’s Fake Fiancée by Alisha Kay
🌶️🌶️
Looking for a super quick and light read for the weekend?
Maharaja Veerendra Singh, the maharaja of one of the wealthiest cities, is the perfect definition of cool as a cucumber 🥒. Nivy Sharma, Veer’s younger sister’s bff, is an actress who’s taken sabbatical from Mumbai and come back to her home in Devgarh after 5 years. What ensues at the palace is quite a fun read when you want something fluffy to read.

Your typical trope of childhood bff’s older brother, hard to ignore chemistry but obviously not giving into it until you’re put in a situation where you’re forced to fake a relationship which turns into something. Along with a jealous ex and an overbearing mother.

Things I ❤️ about the book:
👉 The story being set in a royal palace in Rajasthan was quite fun to read.
👉 How the author showed the dramatics Mrs. Sharma showed not caring about her reputation going for a toss while she was throwing a tantrum about Nivy’s reputation. It was like reading about a car crash. You don’t want to look but you can’t look away.
👉 This book is definitely PG-13 or perhaps event Adults only 🔞. The 🌶️ scene was a fun addition to an otherwise basic book.

Things I 🥵 about the book:
👉 I found it quite cliché that the girl Nivy keeps referring to the Maharaja by anything other than His highness (like His Hottiness, His Haughtiness). It made me CRINGE EVERY. SINGLE. TIME 🥴. (Who even buys these lines 🙄)
👉 I disliked the fact that Nivy had nobody in her corner from her own family, including her brother who really wasn’t present.
👉 Some things really felt like were left hanging without proper conclusion.

I got this book courtesy Amazon on “Stuff your Kindle” Day.

The book is officially one of my favorites of 2021. It's not just adventurous but thrilling. What happens when the people who loved each other drifted apart and are now are tied into a fake engagement setup?

The book is a bundle of quirky witty conversations between our very handsome Maharaja Veer, and always ready to fight with Veer, but bold in her decisions Nivy, get engaged to handle the worse situation they can be in. But the engagement announcement has made each and every member of the family shocked to the core.

The events that take place henceforth makes you laugh, smirk and feel the need to get inside the book and stop them from making blunders. They are that couple who when fights you feel a tickle.

The book is narrated in a very lucid and unique way. It makes you feel like watching a bollywood film with lot of tadka to mix up the emotions. One minute you get an adrenaline rush and the next moment you are laughing, thinking wait did they just say that!

The storyline is unique giving us a whole lot mixed emotions and the characters are developed beautifully, precisely with handling their childhood story. Their past flaws and issues and smoothly solved in the present which I felt was amazing. The plot felt fresh and exciting.

The queen of the book is definitely the dialogues given to each individual. When there's around four plus characters there's chance not every one would stand out. But with this book you can hear the way the supporting characters have said things. They are unique, witty and memorable.

Overall a really amazing and entertaining book which stays fresh in your head for a long time.

Maharaja's fake  fiancé is the story of Nivy and Maharaja Veerendra Singh who have their separate and one similar past which never leaves them .
After 5 years Nivy who is an actress returns to Devgarh after she is bankrupt and her film doesn't do well and Veer is the Maharaja of Devgarh and brother of princess Jayshree who is a childhood friend of Nivy .
Things instantly spiced up after they met for the first time after 5 years and Veer proposed Nivy to become his fake fiance as he wanted to get rid of princess of Tejpur, Anika  and in return he would fund Nivy's film.
Guess what ?
Nivy agrees to become the Maharaja's Fake  fiancé !
Things get hot ,topsy and turvy when they have to fight with their separate and a common past ,feelings for each other and  bear with Anika's antics to separate them  .

Maharaja's fake fiancé is perfectly cut out to be turned into a movie or web series .

The best part was that the story was not stretched unnecesarily which many romcom writers do and it irks me as a reader .

The books has all the ingredients that makes a romcom perfect. It was short, sweet ,
nail -biting ,heart melting ,unputdownable and it will definately leave a smile on your face .
