I didn't choose to stay with him, but it wasn't up to me. I fought him, I cursed him, and then he savagely made me his.
Romeo Serano and I were strangers whose paths shouldn't have crossed.
What we have is wrong, twisted, and dark, yet it is impossible to stop.
I should be planning my escape, but he starts revealing secrets of my past. Things I never imagined.
Who is this man? But more importantly, who am I?
Our violent delights have pleasurable ends...
*If you are a good girl dreaming of a knight in shining armour, then step away from this novel! If you fantasize about hot, wildly sexy alpha males, then this one's for you! My heroes are dangerous, dark, and demanding—a HEA guaranteed with no cheating but lots of pain and pleasure. You have been warned! Proceed at your own risk...
As a teenager, Faye used to read at night with a flashlight underneath her bed covers. She fantasized of bad boys who stopped at nothing to capture the hearts and bodies of their women, and of equally strong heroines. Make no mistake, there are no damsels in distress in her world.
Her addiction is the “enemies to lovers” trope, and maybe that’s why when she first met her husband, their chemistry was just as sizzling as their disapproval of each other. But as in her novels, passion won, and now they live through their happily ever after.
By day, she is taking care of her household. By night, her shadow self emerges to satisfy her undisclosed desires. Literary and not.
Not quite what I expected when I read the summary of this book. I found though that I really enjoyed reading it. The twist at the end had me guessing what would happen, and I really liked the surprise that waited. I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes a story that starts out a little on the cold side between the main characters and ends up with them madly falling for each other. I hope that everyone enjoys reading this as much as I did.
A good story line, it kept my interest but was a bit adolescent at times. If it was written in a more sophisticated way and with more emphasis on the deepening of the relationship between the two main characters and an expansion of the underlying story line relating to the infiltration of drugs into the clubs, it would have been a riveting 5 star read as the bones of a good book were all there.
I really enjoyed it. The female main character seemed to switch her feelings on being kidnapped incredibly fast. One minute she was fighting against everyone, trying to escape, the next she'd accepted it and became his girlfriend. Apart from that, it was great.

😬😮💨 I dont remember if this was shown as an ad on fb or insta but one of those is where I found it for free. I can see why.. the writing.. isn't the best, poorly developed characters very one dimensional.. the plot.. uuhh ok. The beginning of this story a woman asks to off some girl and the MMC takes one look at her picture and says mine. She naps her and the FMC is like *shrug* guess this is my life now.. not a single fight given.. and just does what the MMC wants no questions asked.. the spacing is weird in the ebook format idk if it'd be the same in physical format but it had so many spaces between each paragraph and the paragraphs were like 2 to maybe 3 sentences so I feel like the spaces were there for extra pages.. you know what we all did in middle and high school very sneakily added extra space to make our 3 page paper into the min 5 required lol that's what this felt like.. and then this author really likes butts because every two seconds.. her butt jiggles.. my butt vibrates lol... made me uncomfy. I'm giving this a 2 because I made it through but it's a very gracious 2 stars
This was a quick fun Mafia read. You can get this one for free if you join her email list and I thought I'd give it a try. Romeo has recently taken over as Don of the Mafia in New York. He's visited by the widow of a successful businessman, who has discovered her late husband left his fortune to his estranged daughter. She asks Romeo to assassinate the daughter, but when he see's her picture he is instantly attracted to her.
Of course as soon as Romeo he meets Jennifer he decides that he doesn't want her dead and formulates a very interesting way to keep her safe. This story follows him essentially taking her hostage and their progressing connection. I enjoyed it and am definitely going to explore some more of this author's books.
I enjoyed this quick read, it had all of the action just a shorter version, well worth reading.
After the death of his father, Romeo has taken over as Dom of the Mafia for New York, running all of the businesses, then he gets a visit from a widow of a wealthy businessman wanting his services to kill the estranged daughter that he had left his fortune to. Immediately when shown a photo of her Romeo knew she had to be his, so instead of killing her he kidnapped her for her own protection, the story follows them as she fights against him but they slowly get to a more of an understanding.
This is the second book I have read by this author and now going to look for the next one to read.
This book was just ok for me. The girl is taken by Romeo to kill her but he likes her and locks her up in his playroom and she just goes with it and spreads her legs. He uses her when he wants but in exchange she gets answers on her father that she neve knew. He tells her everything towards the end about her step mom wanted her dead so she could get the inheritance Romeo and her now new name Jennifer plot a plan against her step mom since she betraying Romeo as well. This book was just ok for me
Unusual behaviour for a ruthless man, Barbara, wife a rival had tried to hire him to eliminate her husbands daughter of a previous marriage, reason her deceased husband left his business to his daughter, When Romeo saw her image he was immediately smitten, he wanted a new play thing but also felt the need to protect her. I would have given it 5 stars had it been a longer book, maybe we will hear more about them in a later book now the characters have been established
I found this book while I was going through my ebooks. From the title and the short descriptive paragraphs I didn't think that I would like this ebook but I read it anyway because the title intrigued me. I was very happily surprised at the out come. I can safely say that I would love to read this book again. I love how everything played out and at the end both Romeo and Jennifer did get what they both was really needing, someone to love.
It was okay, personally i almost didn't finish it because im not a fan of the whole stockholm thing. And it moved way too quickly for me. I like mafia and dark romance but this didn't have a whole lot of story mostly just spicy scenes. If he would have explained the situation in the beginning instead of just kidnapping her i might have liked it more, but i will be checking out the authors other works as well just to see if i like them more 😋
I enjoyed the spice but the plot was meh but maybe that was the point? I would have loved more time in the "red room" there was so much potential to explore dominance play but it fell short. The clubs! Why didn't we get much play in the clubs? The ending was anticlimactic but the epilogue was sweet... There's not much danger in this dark novel nor is there much darkness so I give it two very generous 💀💀 danger skulls and it gets a zero darkness but the spice is a 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ out of 5
Sorry to say I cannot recommend this book. From the first page it was rushed and predictable. There was never a doubt where the story was going only when it would get there. Normally I enjoy this author but as in too many cases these days the stories are uninspired and depend on readers to purchase based on the author’s past work.
I will seriously have to think before choosing this author again.
I honestly wanted to give this book 4⭐️but i couldn’t simply because I needed more details on Romeo. He doesn’t speak in depth about anything. His mom is like a footnote as is his brother. Is Mario the butler or his right hand man? In ur other novel (which i adored Her Cruel Captor) Claudio was a Jokester but fierce. There weren’t enough connectors for me bt. The main characters other than flaming hot 🌶️🌶️🌶️sessy times. 😏
Genuinely good! I love that a mafia boss can break and cave while slowly losing control when it comes to love. The kidnapped falling for the kidnaper per say gave some intense back and forth at times I wanted to yell and tell her to run but then ended up changing my mind this book will keep you guessing. Some things I wish would have gone into more details but it was ok that it didn't was quick fun and extremely sex filled book.
I honestly didnt know what i was reading the very start of this book was violent and degrading to FMC and to have a ever after ,what he had done to her .And also in what mafia life does our alpha not be able to stop a female from beating his woman.Found this book very childishly written and defrading.

I didn’t hate it. But I didnt love it. For someone who is being kidnapped and held against her will she was very complacent. It was kind of predictable. The book had great potential. But it was easy to read and it was fun. Definitely something to read in between if yo ur e having a reading slump. 🤷🏻♀️

Romeo was from a mafia family. He was asked by another mafia related family to kill Jennifer. Jennifer’s real father died and Jennifer’s stepmother wants her dead. She needs to control it all, bit it was left to Jennifer only. Romeo falls for her at first glance and needs to protect her. By the way Jennifer never knew her father or what he was. She grew up poor. Now she has control.
This is the first book I have read wrote by Faye Pierce and I will definitely be reading other books. The storyline is good going from being kidnapped to their happy ever after. I like how the story is written giving insights, thoughts and feelings from each character and not just wrote from one character's point of view.
Well where do I start. At first I thought it was going to a tame mafia read but wow I was mistaken. Romeo is a good man (both in and out of bed) and Jennifer is his ideal women. The twists and turns will leave you wondering how this will end. Plenty of spice!! As soon as I’m finished leaving this review I’m off looking for my own Romeo (he must be out there somewhere 🤞🏻)
Good story. It was nice what her father did in the end, but she needed him as she was growing up. She was lied to all her life, because her mother couldn't deal with his business. But, in the end it worked out. Romeo was depraved. He didn't have to treat her the way he did. She would've cared for him and trusted him in the beginning if he treated her with respect.
Romeo and Jennifer are perfect together, they brought the best out of each other in every way! His protectiveness over her mixed with the spicy dominance, does things to you! Spice:🌶️🌶️🌶️ The ending made me so happy! I’d love to see more of these characters! First book by this author, can’t wait to read more!
I found this free on FB or Insta and I can see why. Badly written and lots of editing issues. I really wanted to like it but just couldn’t. I think it would definitely have more potential if it was rewritten and fleshed out more. The whole thing is so rushed that it’s difficult to connect with the characters and at some points the story is hard to follow.
Now here was a story I was not expecting. Mafia boss as a fierce protector of someone he’s never met? The steam level of this book is 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️! Maxed out! I loved every second of this book! It had me sitting on the edge of my seat just to see what how long information can be drawn out. This was a great read.
The first half of the book, I really just could not get into. The way Romeo goes about things just irritated me and rubbed me the wrong way. But after the first half of the book I really got into it. Granted it feels more Stockholm syndrome than anything but I'm a beauty and the beast girl so that's okay!
Really enjoyed it the characters defo great on me the more I read through it and I just had to read more and I find it was just so easy to read the style of writing wasn't so bunched up ect so made it alot easier there's a bit of a plot in it and I'd say its a bit spicy not too deep but just enough to enjoy it
Jennifer has been scraping by. She has always believed that she is the produce of a one night stand. Romeo has a reputation as being a hard man who will do anything. He is hired to kill Jennifer so she can't inherit her father's assets. How will Romeo do the deed? Can he accomplish it without getting caught?
This was a quick read at 200 pages, it was very well written and the storyline gets you from the very beginning and keeps going to keep you from putting it down. I read this in one sitting. For being a shorter book it doesn’t seem rushed at all. I definitely recommend this if you love- kidnapping, mafia, love, smut🥵, and the most important for some.. a HEA.
A little different than what I was expecting. Romeo is hired by Jennifer's stepmom, Barbara to kill her, who Jennifer doesn't even know she exists. Jennifer is left a large inheritance by her father but Barbara will not allow it. Romeo ends up kidnapping Jennifer to keep her safe. Jennifer gives in and falls for Romeo. Lots of spice! The ending had a nice twist!
This book was a fun short read filled with tons of steamy scenes. Definitely some angst with a great ending! I only wish there was a bit more plot and scenes like the last few chapters, but overall a good read. The characters could also use a bit more depth while the writing could use a bit of work on more adult phrases rather than teen. It kinda felt like it was left unfinished.
