If you don't like forced mating (but it was within MCs consent), (physically) torturous H (implicit), and confinement. I sensed a bit of Stockholm syndrome going on, but I couldn't be too sure. The story was about Ivy who was captured during her interplanetary mission. She was then were forced to mate with the captured alien prince. Unbeknownst to the captors, both Ivy and the prince had an immediate attraction toward each other, but what kinda a life that they had expected within confinement?
This was the type of story that was a bit dilemmatic for me to rate. Tbh, I didn't like my H to be way too hopeless. This one was definitely lack in the gruff, ruthlessness of an alpha, and demeanour of a leader; though he had an ability of negotiator. But then again, that might be just my preference and my interpretation of the characters. I felt hopeless when reading the story about this two. They both didn't have in them a survivor soul. But hey, the story was quite okay. I think.

Xavi and Harper's Story . . .
Xavi had been sold into slavery by his greedy, warmongering father, the King. He was beaten by the reptilian captors and had the scars to show their cruelty. Harper was a human navigator-in-training who crashed on a hostile planet. She was taken to a dungeon and thrown in a cage with the alien Xavi. They were expecting the two to breed and produce a child for them, although they didn’t know the reason yet.
Xavi recognizes that Harper is his fated mate, which gives him a new purpose to survive and get them out of this prison. Will he devise a plan to free them? Will she accept him as her mate?

This interesting book 2 in the Fated Mates of Adonia Series was well-written story with well crafted characters. These well written characters, flaws and all, will make you feel their emotions and want to root for them to make their connections. They have wonderful chemistry, personalities, and history. This story has action, adventure, twists, turns, and intrigue. The supporting characters are also interesting and kept me reading as well. Ivy Sparks has done a great job with this book and series.

Fantastic alien world, accidental fated mates, and a HEA that still kicks off a series!
I really enjoyed this. It kicks off with a bang as her ship crashes and she gets taken by the aliens of this new world, which she doesn't even recognize until later. The alien world is certainly no picnic, whether inside the castle/prison or in the wildly barbaric lands we learn are beyond. I found the goal of breeding the kidnapped prince and the human woman to be such a great hook when the reasoning was explored and the vaguely good intentions behind it were laid out. Sure, it wasn't all that great for Harper and Xavi, but the queen's intentions were pretty good no matter how poorly her plan was carried out. Can't blame the lady for trying! I enjoyed the different escape/evasion attempts, the gradual trust building between the fated mates, and the evil dungeon mistress. Great plot, twists, and plenty to concern ourselves with for future books, even if this couple is happy together at the end. Next, please!

The third and last installment of the series. This is Xavi and Harper’s story. Poor Harper suffered a broken leg in the crash. We saw that in book two. And so that injury is a huge part of this story. Seriously my own leg hurt a lot readin this. Hahaha weird but there ya go.
The hero has been captured and is being held as a stud. Guess who his brood are gets to be? And there you have the majority of the book. I wondered how they’d ever get free - because of course they must. That was a lot of stress.
The second book happens concurrently to this one and while they can be read alone, events are such that they should be read in order. The gift of that is a bit of relief at a pivotal moment. I was thankful for that because it let me enjoy the end. So read them in order.
That said this book did feel rushed. The characters were super great. The epilogue is stellar. I wish it had been overall more developed. Just more. It’s an adventure story, so I guess it couldn’t last forever. That’s not really something I can hold against the book is it? Four stars.

Harper crash lands on a planet and taken as a slave. She is placed in a cage with Xavi to reproduce and bring about another heir. Xavi sees that she is his mate and now has added drive to free them both from their torment. The characters and storyline are terrific, with plenty of surprises and twists. First the Queen that holds them and then his uncle and king father try to destroy them. The clan people come through for Xavi as a show of support widens. Once Harper and Lyra finally reunite and it starts another situation that will make you smile. Women can rule the moment at least, and even defeat a mountain climb. Very well done.

A lovely emotional tale. Harper finds herself on another planet from originally intended, as a prisoner. Treated badly by a vicious female alien, she soon discovers she is to be forced to become a mother. Another she befriends, turns out to be the queen, who needs the child. Reason being the father, a deposed prince - Xavi. For political reasons. He soon realises she is his fated mate. They have much to overcome and nasty dictators to destroy. Xavi's own father, the king. Later, his uncle. Harper reunites with her best friend and peace is agreed upon by all. Ensuring they get their HEA. I now need to read Lyra's story! :)

Harper just wants to go home. This is not the adventure she signed up for. Crashing was bad enough, being injured and separated from her bestie is literally adding insult to injury.
This done in one Kindle Unlimited quick read stands well on its own. It is part of a series, with a lot of interesting world building, and fun/fascinating Alien cultures.

Harper and Xavi are captives of the Selensians and are thrown together forced to breed to try and produce a child to replace the one that the Queen lost due to Xavi's people the Zurans. Harper is holding out hope that her friend Lyra will find her and help them escape, but finds that even though they don't want to give the queen what she wants they can't deny their attraction, when Xavi realizes she's his fated mate. Great storyline liked it even better than the the last one. Liked the continuity and the action and the adventure. Great characters. A really great read.

Xavi is prince who has been cast out by his father for not being, thankfully, like him. He refused to kill and so was exiled. Harper crashed on the planet and has been not so much rescued as enslaved. She is wounded, which her captors choose not to heal at the time, drugged and thrown into a room with a beaten male, Xavi. Can love blossom from such a start? They are each the only tenderness the other has received in a long time. The seed is planted but will it survive? I loved this. So clever with the plot, the characters are wonderful and the world describe is beautiful.

Pretty good
I actually really enjoyed this book. I didn’t know till after I started it that it was the third book in a series because it said stand alone, but when I put it into my good reads came up saying it was the 3rd in a series. That irritated me. I like going in order even if books can be read alone. Maybe if I read the other books I would have known what happened to Harper’s friend…. But anyway this was a good book And both characters were strong and down right great together.

This is a heartwarming romance full
of trials and the overcoming of those trials
it is full of excitement and adventure.
With wonderful side characters I got
immersed in this book so fast. I barely

These two battered and bruised souls find love and hope in each other in a dark prison cell. The story was awesome. The characters were engaging and the action was paced to heighten the anticipation. I enjoyed it.

Always Fighting
First off this story was not boring as the characters were developed enough that they had distinct personalities.
The female lead Harper was wimpy but loyal to those she cared for. She never gave up.
Saving as a prince also wasn't what I expected. Read this book to find out more .
If you like alien abduction and banished prince's then this would be the book to read.

Harper’s day goes from bad to worse as after crashing her ship she is captured and thrown in a dungeon with the brutal alien warrior. Looks can be deceiving and Xavi knows Harper is special from the moment he sees her. Can they work together to get free or will their captors succeed in the fulfilling their evil plan?

This story had such a great plot, with twists and characters I was emotionally connected to, that it was a one-sit read for me. I loved how the escapes, or escape attempts? ;), added dimension to the story, along with the reasoning behind everything. Expect danger, suspense, adventure and even interesting side characters to take you on quite the reading ride, too :)

Part of the Fated Mates of Adonia series a well written short story that kept me turning pages. Xavi and human Harper's story of suspense, drama, danger, a really nasty king, villains, friends, and romance. A story that was well worth reading. I want to read more in this series. Dark & deranged villain
This whole book had a dark feel. The situation was ridiculous & the villain was mean for no reason. All the bad guys, (there's at least three), are horrid creatures. The hero & heroine are strong, loyal & fall in love quickly. It was enjoyable. Good triumphs so its a happy ending.

I don't know if I could have forgiven I data as easily as Harper and Xavi did. She did some horrible shit in the name of her dead child and became just as bad and those that killed her child. I would hope I'd be making the right people suffer for her death instead of punishing the innocent especially another mother and child in order to satisfy my pain and vengeance!

It is hard for me to believe Ivy Sparks even wrote this novel. First, how can Xavi take corporeal punishment fifty plus days in a row, plus take fifty lashes then have sex! Really? Harper is a heroine who does nothing but sob and wail, definitely not an independent, strong woman. Yes, I realize it’s fiction, but really, it is not one of Ivy Sparks best.

This is actually a really good story. From the description I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it’s heartfelt and sweet in the face of adversity. I’m looking forward to the next one.

Very good!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Harper is forced into a cage with Xavi to breed with him. He is tortured and she is threatened. There is plenty of sweet, hot steam in this book, along with action and some suspense. I will be reading more of this author.

Mates
Full of intrigue, fighting and lots of love. I can't imagine forgiving so easily but the story must go on. Boy meets girl, they fall in love. Fight evil Jette and king father. All's well HEA. Not that simple but worth the read.
