The Single Dads of Seattle #3

Saved by the Single Dad - Mitch

Rate this book
Loving yourself is the first step on the road to healing.

Welcome to Seattle, the Emerald City and home to The Single Dads of Seattle. Ten sexy single fathers who play poker every Saturday night, have each other's backs, love their children without quarter, and hope to one day find love again.
This is Mitch's story ...

Single dad of Seattle, Mitch Benson can't move, can't blink, can't think, let alone do his job and photograph the woman on stage. Every fiber of his body wakes up when Paige McPherson starts to dance. She pours out her heart, bares her grief and pain for the world to see-the same grief and pain that has ruled his every waking moment since his wife passed and left him to raise their daughter alone. Paige is dancing his truth, and in that moment, Mitch knows his life is going to change.

Paige never thought she'd notice a man again, but there's no ignoring Mitch-or the message in the photographs he takes. Learning to dance has reignited her passion for life and shattered the protective shell she's built around her heart. That's not good-no matter what anyone else says, it's her fault she lost her son, and while she's on the healing path, it's a long journey and one she's determined to take alone.

Mitch knows Paige thinks she doesn't deserve a second chance at love, but he can't bear to back away from the one woman who makes him feel alive again. He's willing to fight for their future, whatever it takes.

Paige can't deny her attraction for Mitch, but moving forward means betraying her past. Now she's faced with a new dilemma-quit her job as the head pastry chef at a very prestigious Seattle restaurant and strike off on her own, or stay working for the boss from hell. Paige isn't sure she's ready for all the changes. Can the single dad save her in time? Or will grief and indecision swallow her whole?

**Note: This book can be read as a standalone. It includes lots of steamy scenes, cursing, and of course as with all my books, this has an HEA and no cliffhanger or cheating. If you like single dads who take charge, this book is for you.

A Canadian West Coast baby born and raised, Whitley is married to her high school sweetheart and together they have two beautiful daughters and a fluffy dog. She spends her days making food that gets thrown on the floor, vacuuming Cheerios out from under the couch and making sure that the dog food doesn't end up in the air conditioner. But when the kids are at school and it's not quite wine o'clock, Whitley sits down, avoids the pile of laundry on the couch, and writes.

A lover of all things decadent; wine, cheese, chocolate and spicy erotic romance, Whitley brings the humorous side of sex, the ridiculous side of relationships and the suspense of everyday life into her stories. With single dads, firefighters, Navy SEALs, mommy wars, body issues, threesomes, bondage and role-playing, Whitley’s books have all the funny and fabulously filthy words you could hope for.

Putting the Past in the Past

Whitley Cox The Single Dads of Seattle bks 01-04

Mitchel "Mitch" Benson and Paige McPherson are both single and not ready to mingle, but life has other plans for them. I really like how real they are. Life has thrown them some crap. They've handled it differently, but come out of it in fairly good shape.

“I wish you could see yourself the way others see you. The way I see you. How beautiful you are, inside and out. Your strength, your heart. Those are more powerful than you realize.”
-- Mitch Benson

The stuff with Paige's childhood bully turned adult bully gets a little too much page time. We get it, Marcie is a terrible human being. That said, I love how Paige puts her in her place. It's long overdue after all her antics over the decades.

This does dip into some spiritual aspects of death and communing with the dead. There are also some cute and funny moments with the kids. Ah, from the mouths of babes come some of the best lines

I read along with the audio book, both as parts of The Single Dads of Seattle bks 1-4. The narrators are Matt Hicks and Stella Hunter. I really like Stella. I like Matt, but he's not a favorite male narrator.

Per finire una richiesta all’autore e all’editore.

Saved By The Single Dad is the prize winner in this series to date. The author takes you on a multitude of emotions that at times will have your heart just about bursting out of your chest. As Mitch and Paige burrow their way deep under your skin you will feel the heartache that these two have suffered from their losses. Paige is a character that you will admire, respect and be inspired by. Mitch is a man not seeking out love but embraces it all the same when it stares him right in the face. Their story is emotional, inspirational, empowering and poignant. A story that will make you laugh, cry and everything in between. These two light up the pages even in the darkest of times. If it is passion and a soul-stirring story you are looking for, then your search is over.

Saved by the Single Dad, Book 3 of The Single Dads of Seattle series, was about Paige McPherson (Eastwood), a classically trained pastry chef, and Mitch Benson, a professional photographer.

Paige and Adam's marriage suffered greatly after the birth of their daughter, Mira. Paige had multiple miscarriages, followed by the stillbirth of their son. This took a toll on her mental health and their marriage fell apart. Paige took a sabbatical from work and spent some time in a facility that focused solely on her recovery. With all of that going on, she relinquished most of the custody of their daughter to Adam.

Mitch had endured a trauma in his life as well, that being the loss of his wife, the mother of his daughter, Jayda. Although he had been living in Arizona then, he needed to return to Seattle to be near his family and friends.

When Mitch's sister Violet's (the FMC from the previous story) dance studio was invited to participate in the summer festival in the park, she asked him to photograph the event for her. One of the final performers was a last-minute fill-in—a single adult female dancer. Once Mitch laid eyes on Paige, he was enamored and determined to get to know her. Unknown to him, she was the ex-wife of his sister's new love interest, Adam Eastwood (the MMC from the previous story in the series). While he felt the pull of their mutual attraction, Mitch knew enough of Paige's history not to push her into something she wasn't ready for, so they took it slow.

This story was full of angst, drama, heartache, love, and enough controversy to keep the flow of the plot moving freely and with only a minimum of issues. The emotional rollercoaster was in full swing with all of the usual twists and turns everyone enjoys to read about. There were a few things that got started but never resolved that I found to be a bit frustrating

Both main characters, while fully developed and mature, only needed a small amount of growth, which they both managed to do with a minimum amount of fussing. It was nice to see that there wasn't too much push/pull between them, as well as the well-deserved comeuppance for any of the rotters that may have shown out in the book.

I'm not sure I would have chosen these two to be a couple considering their connection to the main characters of the previous book. For me, it would be awkward if my new husband was always able to see his ex-wife whenever my brother came around with her on his arm, especially as he had still been in love with her at the time of the divorce. Mitch's stepdaughter would also be the stepdaughter of his sister...and her niece? Yeah, that would be awkward.

I gave this story a three-star rating, mainly because of the odd relationship that surrounded this couple and the previous book's couple. Otherwise, it was a decent story.

This girl is on fire I tell y'all... It's one book after the other and I couldn't be happier...
This little, let get real here not that little, is on cloud nine...
Whitley Cox is in my book life for not that long but she will stay there forever. Her books are sweet, intense and despite the problems or dramas the characters face she has the ability to hook you up wanting to read more and more to find out what will happen.
It happened to me and every book is a new journey...
Saved by the Single Dad is her latest release and it's the third book from the Single Dad's of Seattle series...
This new book explores the lives of Mitch and Paige.
But I need to tell you something. Even though all books are standalone I advise you to read this series from the beginning. By doing so you will meet each character and understand this series better. Trust me.
Mitch, as you had already guessed by the title, is a single Dad. A widower to be more precise. He's a photographer by profession and tries to juggle his life between his profession and his daughter. This talks Inst easy so he often has the help of his sister Violet.
He's not ready to give his heart again but on a dance show...
Paige is broken. Life had given her an amazing husband and a beautiful daughter but the loss that she experienced left her broken and incapable of love and living her life. She was advised to find something that could bring her joy, where she could be herself so she enrolled in dance lessons...
I'm so in love right now... This book is perfect.
It has an amazing plot, super engaging, very intense and heartfelt. These two had so much pain inside their hearts that it was wonderful to see them getting lost in each other.
Pain can cloud your judgment so you need to have faith in love to change you from the inside out.
Life has some surprises along your journey and you must be prepared for it. Change if you must but don't lose yourself in the first place.
This book will give you love, family bonds, friendship, desire as well as pain, loss, suffering and so much more than that.
The hot stuff will make you forget the world around you... Dayum those scenes...
It was perfect to keep track of the characters from the previous books and I can't wait to read about the new ones.
Whitley... Oh, girl, you rock... Please don't take to long to give us the next book.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Saved by the Single Dad
(The Single Dads of Seattle #3)
By Whitley Cox

Continuing on my Whitley Cox Single Dad kick and each time I’m impressed with her cast of characters and this wonderful single dad family who are always there for the other dads.

This one is Mitch and Paige’s story! What gave me a chuckle was when I was reading book 2 I said to myself wouldn’t it be funny if Mitch (Violet, from book 2’s brother) got together with Paige (Adam’s ex from book 2). I had no idea I was that good a predicting things! But to me it made sense.

Mitch is a widower, having lost his wife and their twin sons a little over a year ago. It had been him, his daughter Jayda and his sister Violet. With Violet finding Adam and Mira, Mitch has decided now is the time he can start making the move into finding a spot for his photography business. It just so happens it is almost right next door to Violet’s dance studio.

Paige didn’t just lose herself, she had miscarried a few times, then Mira had been born but it was the birth of their stillborn son that had been the catalyst to her losing herself. She and Adam have been divorced for a year and she is still fragile but she working hard to get her life back. When there is a change at her job and an old nemesis primed to continue her bullying that Paige decides she needs a job change. Encouraged by her parents and Adam and she makes a decision to work for herself. A big step but I think this might be what she needs to take new steps not just at her job, but letting new people into her life.

One of the things I have realized I enjoy about Author Whitley Cox’s books is the true-life problems her characters have. In this story it is about Paige’s mental health issues and what it is like to deal with miscarriages and stillbirths. We know it happens, we may even know people it has happened to but unless you have been in their shoes it is so hard to understand what these families go through. It’s not just the woman that has to deal with her feelings it is a whole family issue.

As you read you learn so much about Mitch and how he is healing after the loss of his wife and twin sons, you see how Paige is learning how to cope and spending more time with Mira and we are see how they both grow and learn more. Paige most especially, with her working to love herself again and finding happiness with Mitch it makes for beautiful story of growth, self-care and self-love.

Audiobook review- I really enjoyed Mitch and Paige's love story. It is a heart warming, and a beautiful story about finding love again after loss. Not only did they become stronger together but also individually. Specifically Paige. Her character growth is what stands out most for me. If you read or listened to Dancing with the Single Dad will know Paige to be Adam's ex wife and mom to Mila. After the loss of another child and multiple miscarrages she became deeply depressed. After some intensive therapy and healing she is finally smiling again and able to take back the parts of her life she lost due to her grief. Mitch is Violet's brother and single dad to Jayda. He lost his ex wife and unborn twins in a car accident and has never been quite the same since. I loved how Mitch helped gain her confidence back by pointing out her greif and past didnt define her. These two healed each other in so many ways and by the end of the story by heart was full. Narration- the book is narrated by Matt Hicks and Stella Hunter. Stella is one of my favourites and as always her ability to deliver such an emotional and passionate story was phenomenal. Matt Hicks is a new to me narrator, I struggled with some of his performance. His pitch was off at times, and I don't feel his voice matched who I had in mind for Mitch but it didnt take away by love for these characters or this series. I hope there will be more audiobooks to come in this series as it has quickly become a favourite.

Wow, just wow! We pick up right where we left off with dancing with The a single Dad. Mitch is mesmerized by Paige and can’t stop watching her dance. Clicking his camera and capturing her movements and expressions is exhilarating. He wants to know her and realizing she is Adam’s ex-wife he treads lightly. Paige is still trying to find herself after all the loss she’s suffered and picking up the pieces. Still she doesn’t see how much she’s accomplished all she sees is her failures. Mitch and Paige are so made for each other, both still grieving their loss, but finding a way to cope with everything. Their daughters are best friends and they will be spending time together. Can Mitch help her see herself the way he sees her? Strong, brave, and confident and the woman he’s falling for? Can Paige accept all the Mitch has to give her and more? The inner struggles are there but with the love and support of her friends and family, will she be able to finally see herself the way everyone else does? Their story was emotional, fun, steamy and deliciously yummy! I loved them and I have to say they are my favorite couple! I love how all the single dads are intertwined with these stories and we get to know what’s going on in their lives too. Great read, highly recommend it!

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, sadness, secrets, pain, and heartbreak.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first
Hired by the Single Dad (The Single Dads of Seattle #1)
Dancing with the Single Dad (The Single Dads of Seattle #2)

This is Paige and Mitch’s story. Paige is in pain and believes that she failed as a mother and wife. After months of therapy she seems to be getting better but is she ready to move on? Mitch lost his wife but knows if he has the chance to love again, he would. After meeting Paige and getting to know her he is falling fast, but is she? She is still dealing with the grief of losing her son will that hold her back from being with Mitch. She is all set to make sure she has no more babies but it that the right decision for the both of them. Or will they want things neither are willing to give in to?

I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I recommend this book.

5 star review of Saved By The Single Dad (The Single Dads of Seattle #3) by Whitley Cox

This series has fast become one of my favourite series. Having read the first couple of books in the series, I was excited to read Mitch and Paige’s story. I love single parent books and this has fast become one of my go to genres.

Saved By The Single Dad is my favourite so far. What an emotional roller coaster of a read this book was. I cannot remember the last time I wanted a couple to get their happily ever after as I did Mitch and Paige.

I knew going in to this story that my emotions were going to be all over the place but wow,
Whitley Cox, really ticked all the boxes on this one.

Paige has closed herself off from life, having lost so much, she has no plans to fall in love, whilst Mitch is immediately attracted to the beautiful pastry chef.

However neither Mitch or Paige can ignore the smouldering chemistry and feelings that sizzle between them.

Can Mitch convince Paige to take a leap of faith? Will the tragedies of their pasts be to hard to overcome? Can their blossoming love bring together these two lost and lonely souls?

There were times when I laughed and times where I cried. It will make you swoon and I think you will be hard pressed not to fall in love with all of the characters.

I loved that we see the other members of the club. The camaraderie and friendships amongst the men is awesome. Their banter had me laughing so much at times as did the antics of Mira and the other children.

Saved by the Single Dad is not only a story about overcoming loss, of working through ones grief, it is a story of friendship, of taking a leap of faith and taking a chance on love.

A Must Read Story That is Heartrending and Heartwarming.
Saved by the Single Dad - Single Dads of Seattle, Book 3 by author Whitley Cox is so far the one that reaches into your heart, squeeze it multiple times and leave you in tears. This author is very skilled at putting into words the emotions and psychological status surrounding all types/stages of grief.
What I loved about this storyline is that it remained hopeful even when it dealt with the darkness of a mother’s grief. It was hopeful because the author layered in support and creative outlets, recognizing sometimes there are no words but there can be expressions used as a release. Examples are dance, cooking, photography, and painting.
This storyline gave us wonderful characters, Paige, Mitch, Adam, Violet (the two couples), Mira and Jayda the children. The men’s club really took a backseat in the book but that’s ok. I didn’t miss them.
I’m not going to summarize this storyline as I can’t do it justice. I will say that it ends with healthier, emotional couples and had HEAs. I loved the proposal for one of them (I won’t say which couple).
Finally, I wholeheartedly recommend this book, and the series, for your reading enjoyment and pleasure. Peace.

I gotta say for a romance dealing with the heavy subjects of Saved by the Single Dad, it was a joyful read. I know that sounds a bit disconcerting but Mitch is such an upbeat guy, even with his loss. Once he spots Paige, he wants to get close to her. He shows her with every word and gesture how amazing she is to him. Paige is dealing with the aftermath of some terrible losses and dancing is something she can do as a creative outlet. It is really helping but she is still very wary when Mitch shows his interest. She can't see herself the way he does but she takes a chance. Their story is truly a beautiful tale of two people who are meant to be together. They balance and compliment each other and it is amazing to have a front row seat to their lives. Ms Cox has a great talent for breathing life into real characters that steal you heart. I cannot wait to see more of the Single Dads of Seattle!

Ms Cox, you've done it again!

Paige is trying to find her way after her divorce from Adam (from Dancing with the Single Dad) when along comes single dad Mitch, himself a widower.
Mitch is a photographer, and uses his skill to start Paige on the road to loving herself again - and falls for her himself on the way.

This is a story that could have been difficult to read, touching on the emotional side of miscarriage and how difficult it can be to cope with the loss, but it's written in such a way that you really start to understand how badly Paige felt about herself. There aren't too many ups and downs in this story (thank you for that, I was tired of constant good then bad through a book) but it's such a good love story it doesn't need them.

A great read, I would recommend this book without reservation and I'm looking forward to the next in the Single Dad series.

Saved by the Single Dad by Whitley Cox is a contemporary single dad romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Matt Hicks and Stella Hunter. This is the third book in The Single Dads Of Seattle series and can be read as a standalone.

The book does come with a trigger warning: "discussion of past child loss, miscarriage and self-harm."

This is the third book of Whitley's that I have read and it definitely won't be my last. I loved the relationship that bloomed between Mitch and Paige. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

I can't wait for the next book in the series Living With The Single Dad to be released on audio so I can get Aaron and Isobel's story.

Matt and Stella did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like single dad romances or contemporary romances.

This book is one of those hidden gems in my opinion. I was expecting a book where they see each other and hit it off right away. With a great deal of hot steamy sexy times. That the hero was into having control. Well, he is but not the way I thought. What I got was something more. They have great chemistry and attraction. I also got heavy drama and angst with a little girl that makes you fall in love with her.

I received an Advanced Reader Copy. I am voluntarily leaving a review. Paige is the ex-wife of Adam and Mitch is the widowed brother of Violet (Dancing with the Single Dad). Paige and Mitch are both grieving their own losses, but find that there is a chemistry between them. Will they be able to find their way past the grief to find love again? This is the third book in the series. It can be read as a standalone, but, in my opinion, better if read in order. This book is, by far, the most emotional tale of the series. You can feel their losses as well as their chemistry. This is a solid 4.5 star read

Audiobook Review: Saved by the Single Dad (The Single Dads of Seattle # 3) by Whitley Cox, Narrated by Matt Hicks & Stella Hunter

Cox is a whiz of the heart and it shines brightly in every story she writes. With sprinklings of humor and an abundance of emotion Saved by the Single Dad is an inward examination of love from every angle. Mitch and Paige take you through love at it's most heartbreaking and hope at it's most beautiful. It's not always easy to watch but Hicks and Hunter turn it into a profound experience.

Saved by the Single Dad
Mitch and Paige
I really liked this book. It was difficult to read in spots, neither characters backstory is a happy one. But in the long run, they need each other.
Mitch is a single dad. Doing his best to raise his daughter after his wife was killed in an auto accident.
Paige is herself a single parent. But the losses she’s experienced in the last several years have left her broken. Barely able to care for herself, let alone her daughter.
This book picks up exactly where the last book left off. (It’s not necessary to read the last book)
If you’ve read the previous books, you’ve met Paige and know her backstory. She’s Adam’s ex wife. (Dancing with the Single Dad) She’s taken up dancing to help her focus her grief. And she’s extremely talented. She conveys so much emotion in her dance. It has helped her regain some control in her life.
Mitch is Violet’s brother, from the previous book. The first time he sees Paige on stage dancing, he’s absolutely mesmerized. So caught up in what’s she’s doing he completely forgets he’s there to photograph the performance.
This story is ultimately about healing.
By photographing Paige, Mitch is able to finally get her to see in herself, what everyone else sees. A beautiful, strong, independent woman. He reinforces it everyday, and eventually breaks through.
Paige shows Mitch that his heart is big enough to love again. It’s just taken the right woman to open himself up to the possibility.
I love this group of single dads.
Mitch and Paige are great characters, perfect for each other.
Their daughters were adorable.
It was an easy read. Held my attention throughout. A few minor editing issues. But nothing too bad.
There story was relatively drama free. Paige does have a great scene where she finally stands up to a bully from her past. But no huge break ups or issues with Mitch and Paige.
Dual points of view.
No cheating.
HEA.

I know this was Mitch and Paige's story. I liked both characters. I liked the kids. I liked the poker club guys. I was glad Paige's nemesis got what she deserved. I was glad Mitch and Paige got their HEA.

It seemed to me especially after Mitch made the sacrifice at the end that this was really Paige's book. Paige was rude to Mitch, yet when her feelings got hurt, he was the first person she turned to. Mitch supported and encouraged Paige every step of their story. Even through her business decision.

Mitch opened his photography studio pretty much on his own with minimal to no encouragement from her. Oh yeah. She helped him paint. Oh, and she did watch his kid in an emergency situation.

It still felt like Mitch was doing all the giving and she was doing all the taking. The one time when Mitch was struggling, the dialogue became all about how Paige thought he was going to dump her. She didn't acknowledge Mitch had his own personal trauma. It was all about her and what she was feeling.

Even regarding Mira, it became about her. I understood her situation, but she basically left Adam handling everything and divorced him. NOW, she decides She wants more time with Mira. She needs more time. She is ready for more than being a weekend mother. She talked to Adam, but it felt like she was taking advantage on some level.

It wasn't a bad romance, but by the end of the book, it made me look at Paige differently.

Paige and Mitchel were strong secondary characters in Dancing With The Single Dad so they came into this book well developed. This book is a stand-alone so you don’t have to read book 2 first because the author does a great job of replaying the moment Mitch first set eyes on Paige. As always, with this author, I tend to like the H more than the h and it was no different in this book. Mitchell truly steps up throughout this book always keeping Paige’s insecurities assuaged. He also really steps up at the end of their story. I miss this author’s darker works but that’s just me.

Meine Meinung

Vorab
Es handelt sich hier um den 3. Teil der Single Dads of Seattle.

Awesome Story & Narration🎧 Heartfelt & Riveting!

Saved by the Single Dad
The Single Dads of Seattle, Book 3
By: Whitley Cox
Narrated by: Matt Hicks, Stella Hunter

Whitely Cox continues to wow me with another fabulous addition to her “Single Dads of Seattle” series, a series of standalone books, each one featuring a different single dad from a group of men who bonded and hangout together, play cards, share thoughts and have fun. This third book is Mitch Benson and Paige McPherson’s story, they met in the previous book, “Dancing with the Single Dad” which is Adam and Violet’s story, Mitch is Violet’s brother and Paige is Adam’s ex-wife. Mitch and Violet have a great sibling bond, they help each other and have each other’s back, both are starting their lives over in Seattle, we saw Violet open her dance studio and in this book we see Mitch flourish and come in to his own as well. While photographing the dance event in town, he found his muse, Paige. But Paige was still dealing with her own personal struggles and wanted nothing to do with him or his idea. Mitch had his own struggles, but he hid them well, he also did not give up on Paige and when a nightmare from her past comes back in her life, she has more issues to deal with. But it turns out that gave her the push to do something she always dreamed of doing. It was great to see her come into her own as well. This book quickly became my favorite of the series, I just loved how everything played out, it is a beautifully plotted story with plenty of drama, heartfelt emotions, a touch of angst, humor and some wonderful hot and passionate romance. As always, the children, Jayda and Mira, were adorable. Whitley Cox, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride, I loved every minute of it.

🎧📚🎧 And for the wonderful narration, Matt Hicks and Stella Hunter were the perfect cast to bring these character and their story to life. They had a complete understanding of the characters they portrayed, gave each a voice that suit their character’s persona to a tee, sounding believable in every role they played and just as I pictured the characters to sound. You could hear how much heart they put into their work as they captured all the characters’ emotions and projected them into their performance. They set the perfect tone for the story and their pacing was spot on, both handled the witty dialogue with ease. These talented narrators are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this fabulous listen.

Whitley is the queen at delivering emotional heart-wrenching stories that will have you aching for more! With each story I read in the Single Dads of Seattle Series, I fall even more in love with her writing and this mixed matched group of dads finding their matches. This is a series of standalones, so you don’t have to read the first two books to understand this one. But I will always recommend reading standalones that intertwine because it offers more insight into the supporting characters and sometimes the main ones too.

I was super excited to read this story because the heroine is the Ex-Wife of the hero in the previous book in this series, Dancing with the Single Dad. It was so refreshing to see a couple that has parted ways each finds their happiness.

Paige is still trying to pick the pieces up of her previous life after the loss of her son. Mitch is still getting over the death of his wife. When these two are brought together by their daughters, they instantly feel a connection. Where Mitch is determined to show Paige he likes her, Paige is afraid to pursue anything. Will she take a chance on Mitch? These characters have gone through so much and their journey is beautiful.

This story delved into the really real topic of miscarriage and how it can impact a person. I have said it already, but I love that Whitley is not afraid to write about hard struggles that so many people face but are afraid to write/talk about. Each book in this series tackles a hardship and each time it creates awareness and understanding. And it will honestly have you falling in love with her stories and characters.

Saved by the Single Dad is 100% my favorite book in the series thus far. As the series progresses, the heroes get hotter and the heroines become more complex. I also liked it a lot because as the series progresses we are able to learn more about the previous couples. And with this being a ten book series, I can’t wait to see what’s coming next!

Saved by the Single Dad is book three in the Single Dads of Seattle series but can be read as a standalone. Paige and Mitch were introduced in book two as they were very much connected to the couple highlighted in book two, but again you don't need to read that story, though you totally should, because it was awesome.

Paige has been struggling a bit but recently found dance as an outlet, which has helped her tremendously. She is also a pastry chef and has found a lot of success with her work. She has visitation with her daughter due to some things she has gone through and is working to be the best version of herself she can be while trying to be the best mom she can be to her daughter. She is not looking for love. It is funny how life works though and gives you what you need even when you don't know what that is. Mitch isn't looking for love either, but isn't necessarily opposed to it. He is a full-time father to his daughter after the death of his wife and a photographer.

I really liked Mitch and Paige together but I absolutely adored Mitch in general. He was caring, patient, giving, compassionate and just all around amazing. I loved that Paige recognized her need for help and asked for it and was doing all she could to makes things better for herself. She had been through so much. And I really liked how she gained enough confidence to eventually stand up for herself.

I think Mitch and Paige had some great chemistry. I would have liked to have seen some more scenes involving Paige and Mitch's interactions with their children to highlight those growing relationships as they turned into a family, but overall I really enjoyed this book.

4 Stars!

Whitley Cox is back with the third steamy, swoony, emotional, heartfelt, heart-soaring, unputdownable installment in The Single Dads of Seattle series and oh my goodness y'all... this story was so so good with so many emotions and yet so relatable in so. many. moments.

Deeper, richer, more intense in storyline than the previous two books in this series... with two very unforgettable, heart-tugging characters that'll have you on an roller coaster of ups and downs... Saved With the Single Dad, a standalone in this series, is Mitch and Paige's story and their journey at a second chance at love.

How can you find love again when life has left you jaded and worn down, over and over? How can you heal after suffering the ultimate loss? Grief is hard and life consuming but sometimes life throws us a curveball we never even saw coming at the very exact moment we need it. And from the very moment these two connect, they find they have a spark.. magnetic attraction.. undeniable chemistry.. that neither can deny. He wants her and he'll do just about anything prove to her she deserves love, everything that comes with it, and so much more.

Mitch and Paige, gah these two y'all! I really really liked them, especially Mitch... swoon to the max! And sweet Paige, she nearly broke me at times only to have me bursting at the seams in others.

Whitley is on my radar now after three really good books in this series and I'm definitely planning to check out her backlist in the near future.

I totally recommend this book.

I liked this audiobook so much more than I expected. It is a stand alone, and if you haven't listened to others in the series it might be better to start with this one so you won't have any preconceived notions about Paige (the h). And then go back and start from the beginning of the series because the first one is still my favorite.

First off, the title doesn't sound like my thing. I prefer strong heroines and would be much more likely to go for something called "Saved by the Single Mom". The actual events of the story didn't make the h seem helpless, so don't rule it out because of the title.

I was also really hesitant--and I mean REALLY hesitant-- about the h being the brother in law's ex-wife given the circumstances of her divorce (disclosed earlier in the series). The storyline somehow made the relationship seem acceptable, and I appreciated the dueling banjo references. This book had very extended steamy scenes (definitely no closed doors).

So why did I listen to the book when I wasn't sure I'd like it? Because I like the series and really want to make it to Liam's story AND (even more important) it's narrated by the fabulous team of Matt Hicks and Stella Hunter. The two of them did an excellent job with the narration and onomatopoeia added some extra fun to the audiobook. It was very low angst and I'm so glad that I took a chance and listened to it.

Note - There are references to past events with miscarriages and a stillborn baby that could be a possible trigger. They aren't events in the present storyline.
