I guess this is what I deserve after flunking the BAR. What’s not to adore about the outgoing, godlike creature, with hypnotic blue eyes, who could bring medusa to her knees. Disappointed about not passing the bar exam, Courtney has been relegated to being the assistant for her new boss, Elijah, the man who stole her spot in the family law firm. Little does she know what’s coming next.
Another short and surprising romance from Halston Hart. This book is part of a series with For Keeps but can be read as a complete stand alone, as Halston does a great job of summarizing what happened in For Keeps from a different point of view. They both have the same characters with a few new ones that are hilarious, I am talking about Brandon and Rachel here😂. There are some surprises in here that I didn’t see coming and I hope y’all like it as well.

Halston Hart did a wonderful job bringing to life Courtney and Elijah. Their love story was fantastic, and I loved how natural and organic it came across. I didn't expect some of the twists, but my gosh, they made the story so good. It was an incredibly well-written book, and I'd more than likely recommend it to others.

I loved the characters they are engaging and well developed with plenty of chemistry throughout the pages. The flow of the storyline it flowed smoothly and easily throughout the pages.

DNF- so many things in this book are just so wrong. The cheating and all the other bs. Couldn’t continue reading.
