Without our mate, our wolves are on the verge of going feral. We're not even acting like ourselves, and it's only been a few hours!
Mavrin is spazzing out, and snapping on everyone. Cash is stable, but it's throwing everyone off because that's Mavrin's role. Krix is still trying to lead us, but you can tell he's overwhelmed. And I'm... numb.
Jahla has been taken by a psychotic spoiled brat, and we have to venture into enemy territory to get her back. Before we can even leave, we have to figure out how he got in. Someone is responsible because we're supposed to have the most secure pack lands in the country!
That's not even the half of it!
James is hiding something. It's driving us crazy, and he's wearing down my numbness. Once it's gone, Mavrin won't be the only one snapping. I'm not talking about attitude, either. We're not prepared for the bomb that he has to drop, though. I'm talking atomic blast type of desecration!
Turns out, shifters aren't the only supernaturals that are going to be fighting in this war.
My pixie has to hold on for a bit until we can get through this part.
Ok she is meant to be all power ful and even more now they full mated. Yet she is a weak little girl allowing someone to whipper her and hold her down? She has 5 powers all up. Water. Air. Fire. Earth and light powers. Yet she is so weak 1 man can hold he down. I don't even know if I will read onto other books. Don't make out a women is stronger then all then make her the weakest person out waiting for men to save the day. Never been so mad
WTH!!?? NO WHY DID IT END LIKE THAT!!?? I cannot wait for our FMC to come into her self and destroy 💀 her enemies, and is it possible that she is expecting??
Jahla is kidnapped and her 4 mates Denahi, Cashel, Krix and Mavrin need to save her. The boys wolves are about to go feral without their mate. She has been taken to enemy territory and they need to get her back.
Denahi the protector and usually the hotheaded one, is just numb. Marvin is spazzing out and snapping at everyone, he is usually the peacemaker, but now he has a short temper. Cash is stable and asking all the right questions where as usually he is the jokester of the group, keeping things light and fun. Krix is overwhelmed he is usually the one leading the pack but he is finding it very difficult. They have swapped roles and are depending on each other to get Jahla back with them where she belongs. Jahla is trying to protect her mates by keeping their bond shut down as much as possible so they can't feel what is happening to her.
More twists throughout this book, with their Alpha hiding something and they find out shifters aren't the only supernaturals fighting in this war.
This is part one of the Lunar Warriors, it was a shorter book, I can't wait to read part 2. M.D. Butler's writing style flows really well, making it easy to read, the pages fly by. I love the main characters, Jahla, Mac, Cash, Krix and Den and their family and friends. It keeps you on your toes and wanting more, finishing with another cliff hanger.
With Jahla being kidnapped, her guys are struggling to keep their balance and not lose themselves to the instincts of their wolves.
This second book in "the elemental wolves" series has a big focus on the men in Jahla's life and their struggle to find their mate. I liked the fact that the "clear heads" in this case come from unexpected sources. It's always nice to see people find inner strength in a crisis, or the opposite. It keeps characters interesting when they manage to surprise a reader. It is a bit weird that Jahla doesn't use some of her new powers yet, but there are tiny snippets of intel through the book that suggests she has her reasons.
This is a short read and I'm not really sure why the second and third book were cut in two since both books don't seem to be very long... Still, it's a nice series to read, with my favourite trope (fated mates), so I'm looking forward to reading the next book as well.
This book has made the story so much more intense, now that Jahla has been taken. Her mates are working to find her, and they know that since Benson has taken her, he has started war. The writing in this book is significantly better than book one (which just needed a little more editing), and the author has given us a thrilling story that makes us want part two that much more.
I know the author wrote an explanation about why, but I still think it could be one book. To much drama, really? Book one was full of to much drama to start the series. It reads like YA, which it is, but it's not labeled as such. This book has contradictory issues with it's characters and maturity levels.
It gets 3 stars because 1) I'm reading part two of second book, and 2) I've read worse.
The Lunar Warriors is book two (part 1) in the series The Elemental Wolves by author M.D. Butler. One moment Life is bliss & light. Now it’s pain and darkness. Their heart, their soul has been taken and now blood will spill. A glimpse of a possible future almost brings her to her knees. War. M.D. Butler sure knows how to lure you in and capture your imagination. Willing captive here! Enjoy!!
This is a very good read. Some parts are a little drawn out and not completely necessary. But overall I really enjoyed it. Some grammar issues but nothing to horrible. There is some parts that might trigger some things for some readers. I can't wait to read the next book and find out what happens.

I'm still trying to read this series, and it is great. But, the editing and proofreading should have been done better. Truly like this author... but I wish more effort was put into making sure the words were correct and written properly for each sentence. I purchased the series after hoping all was fixed... Yet, now i regret spending the money!
I first came aquatinted with this author with a series she has on Kindlevella. Let me just say she did not disappoint with this book. It was amazing and I cannot wait for the next one to release.
