Nigel grabbed his boss by his collar and slung him around like a rag doll. Pinning him up against the cocktail bar, Nigel leaned in and growled through his teeth, “Sir, my reputation is one you should have researched better.”
When Nigel Logan accepts a lucrative photography shoot during an international regatta in Miami, he didn’t know what he was getting into. His decision to sail his beloved sailboat MisChief to the venue proves near disastrous for himself, his best girl, Candice, and his boat.
Once finally on the job, the excitement, the parties, and good times place Nigel in an embarrassing position which could compromise everything he loves. While taking action to set things right, a young Nigerian girl pulls him deeper and deeper into an unthinkable truth that brings out his worst and best qualities.
And... When Nigel Logan is at his worst... he doesn't get any better.
Kirk Jockell loves stories. Growing up with ADD--nobody knew what it was way back then--his imagination ran wild. Little stories constantly danced through his head. His Mom would say, “He lives in his own little world.” Over Fifty-three years later, he still does. The only exception is, now he puts his little world on paper. He wishes he had done so sooner.
Kirk sleeps most nights in Flowery Branch, Georgia but considers Port St. Joe, Florida as home. He is an avid sailor, a photographer of sailboats, and a lover of small batch bourbon. He lives with his wife Joy, Dixie, the smartest dumb dog in the world, and a black cat named Stormy that pukes a lot.
Another A+ Nigel Logan adventure! The good ole gang at Port St Joe are amazing fun and keep the readers on their toes as well as rolling on the floor laughing. They are friends and we love their antics. At the same time Nigel’s uncanny ability to attract trouble lead readers on different adventures and dilemmas. From bad storms to really bad guys, it is hard to put down an escapade with Nigel Logan. I loved this book.
The gang of familiar characters in Traffic is like being with old friends! There are exciting twists and turns that leave you wish ing you could read faster! And of course, Port St. Joe feels more and more like home!!! Travis McGee step aside, the new Chief in town is Nigel Logan.
I love Nigel Logan. I, too, am a retired NCO and love small-batch bourbon, so we share common interests. However, I am not a water or sailing enthusiast. Some of the technical details of maneuvering and navigating the boat went right over my head. It did not distract from the story. This is a great series. Kirk Jockell knows his subject well and writes an interesting and addictive story. Ready for the next one.
