His cousin, Gustav Hasford, who wrote the semi-autobiographical novel The Short-Timers, on which the feature film Full Metal Jacket was based, was a large influence on Aaron. Aaron decided he wanted to write comics as a child, and though his father was skeptical when Aaron informed him of this aspiration, his mother took Aaron to drug stores, where he would purchase books from spinner racks, some of which he still owns today.
Aaron's career in comics began in 2001 when he won a Marvel Comics talent search contest with an eight-page Wolverine back-up story script. The story, which was published in Wolverine #175 (June 2002), gave him the opportunity to pitch subsequent ideas to editors.
In 2006, Aaron made a blind submission to DC/Vertigo, who published his first major work, the Vietnam War story The Other Side which was nominated for an Eisner Award for Best Miniseries, and which Aaron regards as the "second time" he broke into the industry.
Following this, Vertigo asked him to pitch other ideas, which led to the series Scalped, a creator-owned series set on the fictional Prairie Rose Indian Reservation and published by DC/Vertigo.
In 2007, Aaron wrote Ripclaw: Pilot Season for Top Cow Productions. Later that year, Marvel editor Axel Alonso, who was impressed by The Other Side and Scalped, hired Aaron to write issues of Wolverine, Black Panther and eventually, an extended run on Ghost Rider that began in April 2008. His continued work on Black Panther also included a tie-in to the company-wide crossover storyline along with a "Secret Invasion" with David Lapham in 2009.
In January 2008, he signed an exclusive contract with Marvel, though it would not affect his work on Scalped. Later that July, he wrote the Penguin issue of The Joker's Asylum.
After a 4-issue stint on Wolverine in 2007, Aaron returned to the character with the ongoing series Wolverine: Weapon X, launched to coincide with the feature film X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Aaron commented, "With Wolverine: Weapon X we'll be trying to mix things up like that from arc to arc, so the first arc is a typical sort of black ops story but the second arc will jump right into the middle of a completely different genre," In 2010, the series was relaunched once again as simply Wolverine. He followed this with his current run on Thor: God of Thunder.

Volumul conține.... da, încă fac chestia asta, pentru referință, pentru că altfel nici naiba n-o să-și mai aducă aminte ce am citit aici...
Deci. Volumul conține două povestiri: „Inamicul statului” („Enemy of the State” din seria Wolverine (2003) #20-25) și „Ținta: Mystique!” („Get Mystique!” din seria Wolverine (2003) #62-65).
E evident de la o poștă că ambele fac parte dintr-un tot mai vast.
„Inamicul statului” e un început de ceva: dușmanii din umbră ai lumii (pana mea, am uitat cum le zice la facțiune) l-au prins pe Wolverine și l-au spălat pe creier în stil Hollywoodian, astfel că acum e un fel de roboțel reprogramat care face tot ce vor ei. SHIELD și super-eroii se luptă toți să-l oprească, dar când reușesc, își dau seama că în locul lui a fost capturată Elektra.
„Ținta: Mystique!” e un final: Wolverine o urmărește pe Mystique prin Afghanistan ca s-o omoare pentru o trădare pe care n-am văzut-o. Ni se spune că au un trecut, și vedem cum s-au întâlnit în 1921, dar tot avem un gol de decenii în care habar n-avem ce-au mai făcut și vedem doar referințe. E ca și cum am fi picat într-o telenovelă cu karate pe la jumate.

O singura precizare am: desi calitatea grafica si hartia sunt foarte bune, "lipirea" paginilor de cotor este groaznica. Am citit-o si deja mi se desfac multe pagini din mijloc.

Am terminat acest roman grafic în câteva ore, se citește foarte repede si este foarte multa acțiune, nu te poți plictisi.
Mi-a plăcut foarte mult ca au fost foarte multe gânduri ale lui Logan, în comparație cu Black Panther.

Prima parte: Wolverine este recrutat de Hydra și devine asasinul lor.
A doua parte: scene din trecut, prima întâlnire a lui Logan cu Mystique, și din prezent, unde Logan este pe urmele ei pentru a o omorî.
Recomand, cărțile se pot citi și separat!

Super fain volumul si interesant. Nu ma asteptam ca Wolverine sa inceapa sa treaca de partea raului in prima parte. Pana la urma dupa multe sarificii s a putut ca wolverine sa isi revina.
In a 2 a parte vedem cum Wolverine si Mystique au un joc dea soarcele si pisica inca am ramas cu semnul intrebarii daca la final Mystique s a folosit de pistol

Muy buen comic, tiene dos historias completamente independientes acompañadas de buenos dibujos.

Pues no está mal pero esperaba algo más en cuanto a guión. Lo mejor el dibujo, por lo demás no es más que una sucesión de escenas de lucha, el personaje da para algo más. Me ha gustado más el segundo arco con Mística.

Me habría gustado leer el final de la primera historia, en vez de dejarla a medias. Pero en general ambas son muy entretenidas.
