Rate this book
The second book in a brand new Mountain Man adventure series from Peter Alan Turner!

Mountain Man Bear Willis and Captain Adam’s expedition reach the Sierra Nevadas with high hopes the worst is behind them. However, disaster strikes when the trappers decide to split into three groups.  Bear Willis and his pregnant wife make a decision that forever changes their lives.

With little food and no more than their bare hands and grit, Willis and Little Sparrow battle predators and an unforgiving Northern Plain’s winter in a race to reach the Pawnee village. But will Bear be able to save his wife and unborn child? Will Little Sparrow return to her people? And will Bear ever find his grandfather, the legendary Eric The Viking?

Teeming with action and Mountain Man survival skills, “ He No Die!” is a nonstop tale of the struggle to cross a wilderness. A wilderness littered with the shattered dreams, broken wagons, and unmarked graves of those pioneers who failed. Will Bear Willis and his wife joined those who die searching for a better life? Or will they conquer and survive?

Writing has always been a lifelong dream. Finally, at 71 years young, that dream became a reality. I am honored to be part of Dusty Saddles Publishing, the leading publisher of Western Novels. Currently, I have several Western Series on Amazon: Chet Henderson: Texas Ranger Adventure Series, Bear Willis: Mountain Man Series, and Willie McGee: Mountain Man Series. Along with a co-write with my granddaughter.

In creating my Westerns, I wanted to do three things, be authentic, create likable characters, and tell a good story. With a lot of hard work and prayer, my books have been well received, so, I must be doing something right.

I live with my wife of fifty-three years and our cat Moxie on Rattlesnake Ridge. We are lucky that our children, grandchildren, and great-grandson all live close by. When I'm not writing, I enjoy woodcarving, fishing, and pampering my classic Jaguar.

I donate a portion of the profits from my books to Veteran charities, including the Veteran’s Independence Project.
