OMG this was soooo good! So much going on that I cannot tell you about because I’m not going to spoil anything but seriously this was a book that I didn’t want to put down, in fact I didn’t! I feel asleep while reading because I couldn’t keep my eyes open any longer but if I started it earlier in the day I have no doubt I would have finished it in one go.

Intense, Suspenseful, Erotic, and Captivating are just a few words that I would use to describe Deadly Coincidence.

If you have read any of books in the Brantley Walker: Off the Books Series you need to read this one, and if you haven't started yet...what are you waiting for?

This book is perfect for those that enjoy Suspenseful reads with TONS of heat, LBTQA+ Romances, or the Office Romance Trope.

Happy Reading!!!

This was book 4 in the "Off the Books" series. Brantley, Reese and the gang are back. This was a really good read Reese and Brantley realize that they have a lot to learn about each other. This book had a lot going on in it including Trey who is Brantley's brother hooking up with Magnus who is a dog trainer working with Reese's dog. Baz who has feelings for JJ but she ghosted him during Thanksgiving she wants a relationship with him but is too afraid to let him get close. When her ex Dante Greenwood shows up asking for help he brings trouble to her door. JJ is knocked out and when she wakes she finds a blood bath in her house. Dante has been taken kidnapped. The woman who took Travis's daughter Kate is crazy she blames Travis for her husband divorcing her. This was a really good book that I loved with all the things going on in it the governor decides to pull the plug on the task force which doesn't sit well with Brantley. The guys continue to have hot sex. I loved seeing there relationship progess. The guys are surprised at the turn out of this case. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series. I really want to see how the relationship between Trey and Magnus and JJ and Has play out although I think Bad has a stalker.

This book was everything I have come to expect from the very talented Ms Edwards.
Book 4 in the Off the Books Series and in this instalment we see the Off the Books Task Force investigating a new case but Brantley is keeping a secret and that secret could put the whole team at risk. This case relies on JJ’s skills but that puts her at risk and it’s going to be hard keeping her safe. Brantley Walker and Reese Tavoularis continue to try and make their professional and their personal relationship work but this new case will test them to the limits.
This is a fast paced story full of suspense, mystery, intrigue and plenty of passion, it involves the whole team so we get to catch up with everyone including Travis Walker and his family. I was captivated from the first page to the last line, i was on the edge of seat throughout this entertaining read, I love this team, I love the friendships, the loyalty and the love they share. I need more from this team and I’m excited for what’s coming next.

I like this series so far, but the last two books felt a bit too much.
There are too many plots going on simultaneously, which was a bit messy and not enough context for all of them.

Furthermore, I am not a fan of the twist in the storyline for Baz and JJ, as that will create further drama in the next book or the future when there was no need for it.

I look forward to the next book in this series as it seems to be about Travis, Cage and Kylie but, at the same time, I am scared that it might ruin one of my fave triads at all times.

3.5 stars … I love the Walkers and all things linked but this felt a little too predictable for me. I got annoyed at Baz being such a sucker - for a smart cop, I didn’t buy the sudden issue with him. An unnecessary twist in the plot.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review.

The members of the Off the Books Task Force are at it again, this time spending some quality time together and solving a mystery that has them temporarily baffled. Bentley Walker and Reese Tavoularis continue to find balance between their personal and professional relationship. In doing so, they realize they have a lot to learn about one another. When JJ gets caught up in a plot to abduct the governor's son, she turns to Baz for help. And though he comes to her rescue immediately, she soon realizes the rift she caused between them may be too great to repair. Brantley's keeping a secret, one that affects the future of the entire task force. While he helps the team resolve the mystery involving Dante's disappearance, he has to determine the best way to relay the new that Governor Greenwood has decided to disband the task force. Effective immediately.

I am so in love with these series. With each book I fall more and more in love with these characters. We get to see my two favorites Reese and Bentley fall more in love with each other but then on the other hand Baz and JJ are fumbling their say through their relationship. And then of course there are things going on that the task force needs to handle and that will have you one the edge of your seat like always. Then you have the secret that Brantley is holding on to that will change every one of their lives forever. I don't want to give anything away about this story as I think it is best not to know much about the story before diving in. I loved this book so much and I can't wait too see what we get next in this series.

5 Star Review Deadly Coincidence (Brantley Walker: Off The Books #4) by Nicole Edwards

The fourth book in the Brantley Walker series from Nicole Edwards and I was invested from the first to the last paragraph. Brantley Walker and Reese Tavoularis continue to juggle their professional and personal relationships in Deadly Coincidence.

As their investigations for Off The Books Task Force become involved in another case, Brantley is keeping a secret that will put all their futures at risk. What will happen when all is revealed?

The story was gripping, the suspense riveting, with so many twists and turns which made for a great read. I am really enjoying reading Ms. Edwards romantic suspense novels. There is a good balance between, suspense, romance and steam with characters who you cannot help but fall for.

Adding in appearances from some of my favourite Nicole Edwards characters and it all makes for a captivating read.

Amazing suspense and drama

Another amazing story with Brantley, Reese and the rest of this crew. I really enjoy the suspense and drama that comes up with each new case they take on. I am anxiously awaiting the moment they catch Juliet Prince. Her continued involvement makes my skin crawl, and I hate how her existence torments Travis. It's heartbreaking. I love these characters and how they work together to solve these cases. They definitely keep me engaged and interested all the way through.

First off I have to say you can count on Nicole Edwards for quality writing, great characters and excellent romances that are HOT. One of my favorite things about her as an author is the variety in her series, they are all different, never boring. I mean she does country romance, kink, alpha males etc like no one else (MM, MMF, MF). I’d say there is something for everyone. I really don’t know another author that manages to write in so many romance genres AND do it so well. I’ll leave some MM recommendations under my review for those new to her work or interested.

Okay so I really enjoyed this installment of Off the Books! Deadly Coincidences is an easy romance read that has plenty of STEAM but with in depth plot lines and characters that keep you engaged and invested. It starts up right after the events of Hide and Seek, there is new trouble coming for the task force and old troubles still lurking. The main relationship focus is on Brantley/Reese ❤️ but it also gives us some developments on other main characters. I love R/B, they’re as hot as ever in this and while they’re still figuring things out as a couple, you know the commitment is there and they’re progressing. One thing Im looking forward to most is finding out more on Reese’s background, we know SO little! These two work so good together, you forget that there’s a lot of unknown history.

We also get to see some JJ/Baz, and the chemistry/tension is still there. I won’t give spoilers but omg 😱 Im worried for Baz. Travis makes some appearances too, which is always welcome! I think we will be seeing more of him soon. This book provides so many great updates on story lines and characters on the task force, I really am excited for the rest of this series! The ending was a happy for now, but just FYI there’s a lot of change coming (in a good way I think) and so there’s some unresolved things left in the air … I’m anxiously awaiting the next!

There are a lot of crossover characters in NE’s worlds, so for those who are into the MM genre, along with this series, I really do highly recommend checking out her Pier 1 & Sniper Security series they don’t get enough attention, as well as Ethan/Beau (obviously one of the best MM books all time) in her popular Alluring Indulgence series. I still re-read them from time to time, they’re so good.

Where do I begin?

Deadly Coincidence is the fourth book in the Off The Books series.
Brantley Walker is asked by the local governor to form a task force to find missing persons in the Texas area, he takes up the offer and asks Reece Traviolis to join him as they both have military history. They open and close cases quickly and also take on new ones, the most important to date is the daughter of Travis Walker (Brantleys cousin).
Although they find young Kate, they haven't found her kidnapper!! They know Kate was taken by Juliet Prince and they know why she was taken but as hard as they try, they just can't find her.
The local governor emails Brantley to tell him that a decision has be made not to continue the funding for the force, this leaves Brantley angry and upset, as well as wanting to continue the amazing job that the task force do, he has recently taken on new staff, which he'd like to keep but without funding that won't be possible. Brantley works out ways to keep the force going and he knows just the people that may be able to help him.
In the mean time the relationship between they're loyal friend JJ and they're new employee Baz has broken down, JJ regrets her decision to stand Baz up but she thinks the separation is for the best. She agreed to go for coffee with Baz to talk things through when she gets a call from her ex Dante, he sounds frantic on the phone so she agrees to go home to meet him urgently, leaving Baz alone once again.
Without giving to much away, what happens next at the house is terrifying for JJ. Is Dante who he seems to be? What happens in that house exactlry? who's finger is left? Why can't JJ remember anything? Was it all the work of Dante?was anyone else involved?
All questions that have to be investigated by Brantley and Reece. Once the police are called and Baz takes JJ to a secret hideout, Travis arrives at the house, Brantley and Reece go outside to see why he's there, Travis told them he received a call from JJ a short while before, telling him to come to the house.
At that moment there is an almighty explosion and everyone is blown to the floor.
WTF!!! The house is just a pile of rubble and Brantley takes the worst of the blast.
This is Nicole at her absolute best and you will have to purchase the book to find out what has really happened.
If you haven't read the first 3 books in this series then I suggest you read those first so you can familiarise yourself with all the characters. You won't be disappointed.
This is 100% a 5 star read and I can't wait for the 5th book Alibi, which releases shortly.
What are you waiting for??

4.5 Stars Deadly Coincidence is a must read!!!!!!

Everything I wanted and more from the 4th installment of Brantley Walker: Off the Books series. Nicole Edwards you did it again, giving us more layers of Brantley and Reese’s relationship as well as peeling backs some of the layers of the Off the Books team, who I love. Deadly Coincidence is full of intrigue, suspense, steaming hot sex, love and laughter. Nicole Edwards at her very best!!!!!!

Deadly Coincidence takes the Off the Books Task Force on a new and explosive case that centers around one of the task force members. All the members of the task force are back and Brantley is keeping some information very close to the vest that could affect all their lives, but of course he is planning out what would be best for the Task Force as a whole. I was so happy to get little window into who Trey is and what makes him tick, I can’t wait to hear more about him and his HOT night with a new character to the series (a girl needs details). Baz and JJ are really going through it. Baz may have been pushed by JJ to make a mistake that he can’t take back. We will see what happens with his indiscretion on New Year’s Eve. Brantley and Reese continue to grow in their relationship and you can feel the love between those two coming off the pages. I really love how their relationship is growing and the bumps and curves that it is going through. I am hoping to get some insight into Charlie’s character in the next installment; so far we have only had a little peek at who she is.

I loved that we got to hear from a couple of the other Walker family in Deadly Coincidence, I always love having Travis, Gage and Kylie included and I was very happy to hear from the Curtis Walker in this book given some fatherly advice to Travis. The next installment could possible give wait we have been waiting for some serious get back for Juliet Price!!! She continues to torment and be elusive to the Task Force and Travis in this installment, but something tells me her time may be up soon…we will see what is in store for her next in the 5th installment Alibi…I can’t wait!!!!!

This series really keeps you on your toes. With each book, it seems the author is expanding the world of Brantley and Reese more and more. Don’t worry, this crazy sexy couple is still the focal point. I actually greatly enjoy the scope widening. There’s JJ, Baz, Trey, Magnus. I’m getting just as invested in their lives as I am in Reese and Brantley’s. I’m loving it all.

There are multiple things going on in this story. This series is really meant to be read as a series, as far as I’m concerned. One book leading into the next. The main issue in each book may be solved/resolved, but there is always more going on that is not wrapped up. Such as Juliet Prince, the kidnapper from the first book, still out on the loose. There are plenty of other cases and other issues for this team to investigate, but all the while they are all still invested in bringing Juliet Prince to justice.

The progression of the Brantley/Reese relationship throughout the series is a beautiful thing to witness. As Reese falls deeper in love with Brantley, he becomes more comfortable in his sexuality. Brantley has, for the most part, been extremely patient with Reese finding his way in this discovery. That patience is paying off as Reese is more and more open with his affection while in public. It’s an interesting angle in a love story and I’ve really been invested in these men.

The chemistry with all the characters is, as always, phenomenal. The heat comes off the pages, but so does the love. I’m rooting for everyone on this team to feel at peace and find their person (or people?).

Book given by author for honest review.

Hooked from page 1. For lovers of “Off The Books” series, this is a must read to the storyline. First of, the storyline continues without having any rehash contents from previous books. You are instantly locked into the story.
Brantley/Reese, ah… you have to love these men, and you will if you are a new reader. Do recommend you read in order though. No spoiling, but this is hot in so many aspects. Sexually/emotionally/inquiringly…… it’s all happening.
Both Brantley & Reese are still finding their footing in their relationship, well one more than the other. Hidden pasts (not withheld), do come to the surface, yet….

Nicole has been keeping the characters fresh and forefront. Brantley/Reese, J.J/Baz, Trey/Magnus, names you won’t forget and Travis never too far away. The foundations to the storyline had already been set yet there are still so many plots/settings in the works. O-t-B, intensifies, - mystery, suspense, guilt these are a few nouns to think about. Love, love love.
- Questions
* J.J. constant search on Juliet Prince
* Did it leave a cliffhanger?
* What is going to be Baz’s future? What will become of Baz & J.J?
* Where is Juliet Prince in her revenge? How much longer can Travis co-exist with his circumstances regarding Juliet?
* How will Nicole crossover continuation to upcoming book ‘Alibi’

This has it all. Congrats Nicole on the continuation of the O-t-B series. Praise on the flow of storyline. Leaving you wanting more, wanting you to read in one sitting but also not ending
A note-: though we are aiming at J.J. & Baz, glad Nicole didn’t dive into these 2 from page 1. Reading the synopsis gives you a different impression on contents.

As a reader, you will be caught in the phrase ‘hook-line-sinker’ you will be immersed with the Walkers family and extended family members. Enjoy, for I did and cannot wait for next instalment by Nicole.

Woooow what a thrill ride;)!

I loved it, I loved it, I loved it:)!

I am seriously in love with everything Nicole Edwards writes. She has a way of sucking me into her stories and the world that she has build in Coyote ridge and all the small towns surrounding it.

The Walker family is such an amazing and big family who just embraces everyone and they are very protective of each other and their loved ones.
Nothing and no one is supposed to be able to get into town and create trouble but unfortunately it happens and in this fourth book in the Brantley Walker: Off the books series everything is peace and quiet around Christmas time and New Years until J.J.’s former boyfriend (the governor’s son) Dante in distress contacts her for help and suddenly everything explodes around the task force team. Are they able to save J. J. And Dante in time and why does Travis Walker’s enemy Juliet Prince’s name suddenly turn up in the investigation?

I loved the way this book was written. You are kind of being lulled into a safe haven in the beginning of the book and you learn about how the relationships between the team members are developing and suddenly you are being ripped out of this comfort, the action starts and the plot thickens. The plot points are great and the characterbuilds are amazing and they grow on you more and more for each book.
There are lots of LGBTQIA+rep in these books. Brantley is gay and I am pretty sure Reece is pan. Brantleys brother Trey is gay, Marcus, Travis and Gage are bi too. And there is a lot of steam in their relationships;)!

So if you are into LGBTQIA+ rep relationships, a lot of steam, a lot of drama, great plot twists, swoon worthy heroes, not so clever villains and a very interesting, intelligent and very scary villainess then this book is definitely for you and I very highly recommend it.

Deadly Coincidence by Nicole Edwards is the latest installment in the Off The Books series, and it is one that will keep you fully engaged until the very end. Once again this author has shown her unique ability to weave multiple character story lines while also delivering a suspenseful, sit on the edge of your seat case that requires the involvement from every character in the series.

Brantley and Reese are more committed than ever to each other, but with any new relationship their are always bumps along the way and these two are still learning to navigate their lives together. I love seeing how they have both grown over the course of the four books, how Reese is becoming more comfortable with his relationship and Brantley is learning how to listen to Reese's needs and not be the overly dominating man that we love. They are perfect for each other and Ms. Edwards still delivers their intense, sexy connection with very sexy times in the bedroom.

We do get to see more of JJ and Baz in this story and learn a little more about the two of them. By no means are they perfect and both have many hurdles to overcome. I hope they are able to look past certain issues to move into a wonderful relationship that can be beneficial for both.

This series is a must read starting with the first book. Each book that follows builds upon the previous story, a new case for each book and an ongoing case that continues through all the books. The task force is one that is strong in what they do and in what they can accomplish and I hope we get to see them in a stronger position in future books.

Deadly Coincidence is one more reason to put Nicole Edwards on you TBR list. The latest installment of the Off the Books series was a total surprise for me, not because it was great. I didn't see it coming, storyline for any of the team members. It was unpredictable and refreshing, keeping you wrapped up in what was up next. I wasn't ready for it to be over, I needed more Baz and JJ. How are they going to get passed this new bump in the road of an already rocky relationship? Will Magnus be what Trey needs to help him through what he's dealing with? When will this nut job finally get what she deserves, and will Travis be the one to give it to her before he loses more of himself? Now that Brantley is forced to take the team in a new direction will RT and Hunter be just what he needs to make the move?
I love getting back in touch with some of the Sniper 1 characters and find I need more. That's one thing about a Nicole Edwards book. You will no doubt come across a friend or relative from a previous book and remember just how much history is involved in her storylines. Making you feel like you're visiting old friends you haven't seen for awhile but picking up right where you left off. That goes a long way in her development of each character and it shows in her telling of their stories. If you find yourself looking to get lost in a book where you feel like you've read this story before, like somewhere out there is a master list of stories and all books must pull from this list. Start a Nicole Edwards series and get lost in books that keep you engrossed page after page, and wanting more when you come to the end.

Deadly Coincidence - Brantley Walker: Off The Books series book 4

The book begins with Brantley and Reese spending a few days away staking out Juliet Princes family house, hoping to find the elusive woman who kidnapped his cousin Travis’s daughter. It’s been 106 days since she went on the run and the task team has come up empty once again. The time away also gives the two of them some time to continue to solidify their relationship.
Brantley received news regarding the future of his task team, but has been keeping it a secret just as one of their own gets tangled up with their next case, the kidnapping of the governors son.

Out of all the books in the series so far, I think this one is my favorite. We find out more about Baz and the relationship between him and J.J. I am so happy to see that they are getting closer after this latest case. We also find out how cunning Juliet Prince really is. I definitely was not expecting the ending to this one.
There is so much going on in this book. The original case, still keeping the team on its toes. The new case that has ties to the original case and the ups and downs in the relationships keeps you from getting bored.

I’m looking forward to reading the next book, but sad that it will be the last book in this series.
Hopefully we will get to see more of this team in future books.

Books in the Brantley Walker: Off The Books series -
Book 1 - All In
Book 2 - Without A Trace
Book 3 - Hide & Seek
Book 4 - Deadly Coincidence

This is another gripping installment of a series I’ve come to love a LOT. Brantley and Reese and co are moving along with their task force.. or so they think. There are a lot of feels in this book (man, JJ and Baz kill me. My heart!) and also a lot of heat. Brantley and Reese’s relationship is continuing to develop and deepen, and suddenly they find themselves learning things about the other they didn’t expect. I truly enjoy being able to experience their deepening relationship from book to book. And Trey! And Magnum! And ahhh, I have so many questions I can’t wait to get answers for… though I could really get behind someone smacking some respect into Cyrus because, maaaan, he is annoying the hell out of me when he pops up now. That arrogance and pure disregard for the feelings of those he hooks up with is just irritating. I’d love to see him taken down a notch or two. Or maybe just staying in California and leaving our guys alone. Just saying.

GUYS! Dante is worse than I even believed him to be. Ugh. Just wait. I am so worried for Travis and the whole team trying to find Juliet Prince… the next one is going to INSANE. You can just feel it while finishing this one. With the changes occurring with the backing for the task force and the relationship and character development I know will be so satisfying in every single book, I’m so excited to see where Nicole Edwards takes this task force next!

I want to start this review by stating that I enjoyed reading this book and recommend it for fans of Ms. Edwards. Keep in mind that there is explicit sexuality between M/M and M/F partners and decide whether that is fiction you like to read. I love Ms. Edwards’ writing style and I love even more that this series allows us to follow all the Task Force members evolving relationships between each other and the characters’ romantic interests. Normally, Ms. Edwards focuses primarily on a different romance in each of her books, and the characters we already fell in love with have only minor parts to play. I love that this series allows her to develop the relationships between characters more slowly over time, giving each their moments in the spotlight. Normally, each novel in this series takes us through the evolution of the Task Force and its’ members while a storyline solving at least one missing persons case. This book was much more about the characters and changes in the Task Force itself, with a minor storyline involving the Governor’s son. It felt to me like a bit of the substance which usually drives these books was missing. However, I suspect that Ms. Edwards was setting the stage for the next book, which I suspect is going to be strongly driven by concluding some of the unresolved issues from their very first case. I am happy that the next book will be released shortly. I have voluntarily submitted this review after reading a complementary advanced copy of this book.

Deadly Coincidence
Brantley Walker: Off the Books Book 4
by Nicole Edwards
Narrated by Tor Thom and Charley Ongel

Where to begin? This series has it all. Smoking hot couples, incredible suspense and most of all twists and turns you just do not see coming! I love it! Brantley and Reese and the team continue their search for Juliet. As the clock is about to ring in the New Year, Dante makes an appearance, calling JJ in a panic and asking her to meet him at her house. And from there everything turns crazy. Kidnapping, blood, explosions, one night stands, true love, what more can you ask for? It's exciting and romantic! I love this series (especially Tesha the dog!) and am looking forward to seeing where it all takes us in the next book!

Tor Thom and Charley Ongel continue their fabulous narration of this series. They are these characters and I am so glad they are our storytellers. Thom has his voices down pat, with the accents, the protectiveness and all that can go into a crazy man! He knows his characters and brings them to life. Ongel is amazing as JJ, bringing her feelings out in the open. She has a lot going on, and she lets us feel that closed offness as well as the fear, and helplessness she has. We also get a peek at jealousy which is hopefully a good forecast for our next book! This team is amazing and always bring joy to my ears.

A total 5 star read!! I absolutely love this series. It gets better and better with each book. Nicole Edwards has truly hit her stride with the Off Books series. Wow!! There is nothing about Brantley Walker and Reese Tavoularis that I do not love!! And then you throw in the rest of the Off the Books team...and I am in heaven!! I truly think this the best one of the series! Deadly Coincidence took me on so many twists and turns that I could not put it down once I started reading it. I laughed, rejoiced and shouted "this can't be happening!" as I was reading it. I loved every single minute of all the suspense and intrigue, and the romance not only between Brantley and Reese, but to see the other members of the Task force trying to find their way to their happily ever after really warmed my heart. And umm...of course, there is Travis and the rest of the Walker Clan. You can never get enough of the Walker Clan or Coyote Ridge. What an amazing family and town.

Deadly Coincidence, although you may be tempted to start reading the series from here...Do Not! The series builds on top of each of the prior books, and picks up where the other books left off. Even though each book is a complete story in itself...you want to start with All IN. You won't regret picking up this one at all!!

This is a great series and I am getting more and more addicted to these characters. Nicole Edwards can write erotica the best, but what she also includes is mystery and suspense that will have you not being able to put her books down. This is book #4 and I have loved this one best so far.
Brantley Reese and their team have been running a task force, paid for by the Governor of Texas finding missing persons. Brantley was just told he will have no more funding at the beginning of the year, so they are on their own.
Dante, JJ's EX calls her for help because he thinks he is in trouble. So she meets Dante at her home to help him. Instead it turns out to be a setup and JJ finds herself knocked out and drugged waking up to a very ugly crime scene and Dante missing. Since Dante is the Governor's son, this whole situation goes to hell fast!
CRAZY M/M love scenes, as Brantley and Reese's relationship is growing off the charts! Love reading about how their love is growing more and more in every book. JJ and Baz's relationship is another story as complicated as it is getting. Juliet Prince is still on the run and just when you think they have her?
I LOVE these characters and what an awesome read!!!!!!!

This is a MUST READ continuation of this series by Nicole. The Off the Books task force is at it again and this is one bumpy ride. There are so many twists and turns that once you start this book it will be extremely difficult to put it down. You are on the edge of your seat just waiting for the next event to happen because not only is it better than the previous one but it also leaves you with the OMG that just didn't happen. Whenever I think Nicole's stories can't surprise she goes ahead and gives me this story in Deadly Coincidence. Not only would you enjoy the stories that are being told but you will become so invested in all the characters in this series that you too would be rooting for each and everyone to find their happily ever after. In this series you will also get to revisit with the Walker clan (and everyone loves the Walkers) and the rest of Coyote Ridge.
I highly recommend that you read this series, please DO NOT start with this book, while it is a series in which each book tells it's own story, you will find the series much moire enjoyable if you start from book 1 as there is a lot of back story that you will really want to know to appreciate the story that is being told.

Another gripping case!

No cliffhanger (though parts will carry into the next book)
Not necessarily standalone as each book builds on the last
Told from multiple POVs (8 if I counted correctly)

These books are intense. So many different storylines going at once that all connect to whatever case they are trying to solve in the specific book. It really keeps you on your toes.

There are times I do wish it would focus on just one couples love story, but there are others I love that we get to see so many stories develop at one time.

I don’t want to give too much away from this book. Reese and Brantley are still going strong, but also still trying to find their new normal. JJ and Baz are in a pretty rough spot in this book, hoping the next will have them getting over this hill, and now we have Trey and Magnus added to the mix.

Juliet Prince is still on the run. I was really hoping they would put an end to her but I have a feeling she will be the one case that threads through every book in this series.

This is really just a great series to get sucked into. The suspense keeps things interesting but there are also some pretty steamy moments with each couple that are a great way to break up all the drama.

Can’t wait for the next book.

Having time to finish this book in two days which definitely not easy, but I could not put it down. As with everybody reading the series I really want to keep up on what Reese and Brantley are up to. The beginning of the book has some really sexy scenes in it, and it shows how far Reese has come in his love for Brantley and the knowledge that he is actually in love with a man. There is never a doll moment in this book, so much going on and so many couples to keep an eye on. Brantley has a secret but he’s not sure he’s ready to tell the crew yet, he can’t keep it a secret long. And now Dante, the governor‘s son, has got himself into some trouble. And he has involved JJ. Baz knows he’s in love with JJ, but she pretty much called it off. Now she needs him more than ever after waking up in total chaos. Brantley‘s brother Trey had hooked up with Magnus, One night stand or more. Like I said there is a lot going on in this book, my recommendation is please start the series from the first book and read in order. You really need the information from one book that leads you into another. It is an amazing series, the writing is fantastic and Nicole Edwards never ceases to amaze and surprise me.

This is book 4 in the Off the Books Series and in this latest installment we see the Off the Books Task Force investigating a case that involves one of their members. JJ is targeted as part of an abduction case involving the governor’s son. The more the team investigates the more they are seeing that something is not right and that this could all lead back to an enemy they have been chasing for a while. Could this be the break they need to finally catch her and get closure? During all this Brantley is keeping something from the team that could change all their lives.

I love that through all this Brantley and Reese’s relationship continues to evolve, and they are finding out that they still have a lot to learn about each other. I am looking forward to finding out about both of their pasts and how it will affect their growing relationship. I also cannot wait to see how things develop between JJ & Baz. It was great that we got to see some friends and family from past books and catch up with them a little. I am so looking forward to the next book in the series to see where it all leads.

Exciting, intriguing and seriously steaming hot!

Brantley Walker and Reese Tavoularis and the entire Task Force team are at it again in Deadly Coincidence! So, get ready for an fast paced story filled with fantastic characters, suspense, intrigue that will keep you at the edge of your seat right from the start! One of my favorite things about this series is that is not just focused on two characters but we get to know the whole team and enjoy their interactions whether it is budding relationships, friendships, or just plain crime solving skills!
JJ, one of the task force members, is the target this time around and the team needs to work together in order to figure out what is going on and keep her safe, but there is also the underlying crime regarding Travis and his family that has been a consistent thread throughout this series and as frustrating as it is to all those involved, the major culprit has not yet been brought to justice. So, get ready because there is so much more yet to come and I for one, cannot wait!

Deadly Coincidence (Brantley Walker: Off the Books, 4)

This is the fourth instalment in the series. Each Brantley Walker instalment is a complete episode, but in order to fully understand the storyline, you should read the first three instalments of Brantley Walker: Off the Books before beginning this instalment.

This is a deadly instalment with love, suspense, drama and evolving relationships that is truly captivating. This time JJ gets involved in the kidnapping of the Governors son and she turns to Baz and the OTB team to help solve the mystery. Meanwhile budget cuts causes Brantley has to lead the team in a new direction. And the subplot of Travis Walker and Juliette Price is ramping up and turns deadlier.

The storyline consumes the reader’s attention and is full of plot twists and suspense. The book is hard to put down and leaves the reader wanting the next instalment NOW!

I truly love this series and can’t wait for more instalments. I was given an ARC for an honest review.

Off the books #4

Deadly Coincidence is the forth installment of Nicole Edwards Walker’s of Coyote Ridge off-shoot, featuring ex-SEAL Brantley Walker and his partner (in more ways than one), Reese Tavoularis. (Please read the series “Off the Books” series from the beginning as this is a continuation story, but no cliff hanger).

Deadly Coincidence continues the OTB crew’s search for Juliet Prince, still on the run after kidnapping Travis Walker’s daugther. The OTB team find themselves at a cross-roads as the Governor is being forced to disband the Off The Books Taskforce due to budget cuts. JJ finds herself caught up in Juliet’s pursuit to punish Travis Walker and the OTB crew find themselves one step closer to finding Juliet once and for all. Of course, since this is a Nicole Edwards book, you’ve got great character development, a fast paced plot and LOTS of steamy scenes.

If you’re a fan of Nicole Edwards, you’ll get lost in the story and characters from the Walker family. Loved it! Please read the series!!
