This book empowers women to take control of their new build or home renovation - from the first planning steps, through to affordable finishes and styling.
Renovating or building your own home is one of the biggest investments (financially and emotionally) you can ever make. For years, the BuildHer Collective have helped women around the world make this a fun, rewarding and empowering experience. Led by dynamic Australian duo Kribashini Hannon and Rebeka Morgan, BuildHer have created a movement. In this book, they're here to share their building expertise, for women of all experience levels.
Whether you're contemplating a renovation, or flipping your third property, this book caters to varying levels of experience in building and construction. (Even those of us with zero experience!) Using case studies and stories from the BuildHer community, Kribashini and Rebeka show how anyone can achieve their goal and become an accomplished BuildHer.
Some beautiful photos. Interesting information. I think I was surprised with the case studies how many of the ladies renovated to make their dream home just to sell it a year or so later. Must not have been the dream.
I picked this up at the library because I enjoy design and architecture. Because I am not in the market to do any building right now, I skipped some of the text but enjoyed the pictures and bullet-point tips.
A decent overview of what to expect when building/renovating. Covers the main tradesmen and rooms with key points to consider. Is Australian based however most of the content would be generic enough.
