Well, to be honest, I don't really know why I read that. So, yes of course the cover is to blame and my need to read a quick Daddy/boy story.
And yes, more smut than plot was my intention too. But the plot here is soooo stupid. Well, at least it was a super quick read and I'm cured of that urge again for now.

Oh boy.
I should start off by saying yes, I’ve read some of Jayda’s books. I am aware her thing is insta-love.
This took it to a whole new level though. So much so that I really didn’t enjoy it. I found the first sexy times encounter utterly unbelievable and the big dramatic conflict toward the end so over the top and violent that a violence warning was needed at the beginning of the book. I’m just not really sure what I just read... it’s one thing for there to be personal preference when it comes to themes, but this was just poorly written.

I lOVE insta-love when there is a reason for it - fantasy, paranormal, sci-fi world building, you name it, I'm here for it. But I don't really buy into it when it's a contemporary romance set in our real world. Everything moved SO fast.
I really loved the opening when they first meet, but things just kinda fell apart for me after that first meeting. And then things got really intense and it seemed like that came out of nowhere!

Everything happens at warp speed but the story has enough detail to make it believable. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and can't wait for the next book in this series. Highly recommend.

A great start and it got me glued to the story. Smoking hot scenes included with a little public scene for a submissive virgin Julian. A huge height difference for them both. Hmm Ryker had a secret life he'd never told Julian but it was very dangerous for him. Violent fighting and attacks scenes are not pretty. This concluded and HEA for a fast paced love story.

Julian 23 sure had smarts to bad remarks but his flirting was gold.

I normally love Jayda Marx' books but this one just wasn't for me. It took me 2 months to finish it (normally I read them within a couple of hours). I just didn't feel a click with either of the characters.

Big Daddy + Fem boy = 🔥🔥🔥
I love Jayda Marx books. They always have the perfect combination of sweet and sassy and steamy sex. Not to mention the feels! I really enjoyed this book about big daddy Ryker and his feisty fem boy, Jules. I love the Instalove and the kink, and the slightly darker secret that Daddy Ryker is hiding. I love how tough Jules is, despite his smaller stature and his affinity for feminine attire, and how he pulls through for his Daddy when he needs him most. Big Daddy is a sweet, romantic story with a sizable portion of heat and I absolutely devoured every morsel. I'm already looking forward to the next book!

I'm a little conflicted on this one. I love MCs like Julien and Daddies like Ryker and these 2 didn't disappoint. Unfortunately other than the characters I wasn't overly fond of this one. I knew going in that Jayda writes OTT instalove but this level was so extreme and made it very unrealistic. I also am not a fan of Rykers extra curricular activities so the plot was just ok for me.

Love Jayda Marx
I’ve always been a fan of jayda’s books but this one I really love. You start off meeting Ryker who is this demigod of a man who’s super tall, strong, and fit. Then you meet Jules, he’s this sassy boy who is short and every opposite of ryker.
There really isn’t a character development as to going into depth with the characters but I feel like this book could’ve been longer. I think what made me really love this book is that yes it’s a fantasy as a short man I’d love to have a really tall man fall in love with me but the reality of it is, is that most guys like that will only like guys who are an exact twin of themselves. Sometimes I just want to be treated like a princess.
I love the whole contrast between the 2 but just sadly in reality you’ll never truly see it. I feel like most gay men cause they like the same sex tend to like almost everything identical to them and that’s just really sad. I feel like jayda is one of the only authors to tackle this topic. It’s not enough to read a m/m book but it’s even worse when you read one to where you can’t even relate to it. I love this book because I can relate and it is one of my fantasy. - okay fighting ring, now we’re getting somewhere
- LOVE CONFESSIONS AND THEY HAVEN’T KNOWN EACH OTHER FOR 24 HOURS
- i liked the domesticated bliss part, that was super sweet
- and the sex scenes are great (although i did assume they’d be rougher)
- this was one was just a bit unhinged for me and not in the enjoyable way…?
- like i dunno there wasn’t enough ooomph? like the third act conflict was great, and weirdly funny and heart warming either Julian taking the fall
- but then the bad guys not getting anything done to them? like he just walked away from fighting instead? bit boring
- i read this in the wrong order and REALLY loved the second one and it was equally as feral but i think because it was mafia it didn’t matter that it was unrealistic cos yannoe… its the mafia
- where is this these two just work normal jobs (yes minus the underground fighting) so just felt so unnatural
- super sweet and spicy epilogue tho!

Julian gets more than his fair share of abuse for dressing in high heels and makeup but when he attracts the attention of muscly construction worker, amateur cage-fighter, and self-professed daddy, Ryker, things start to look up. I loved the premise and this had lots of interesting aspects but I felt like the story skimmed along the surface and ultimately, didn’t satisfy. The rushed instalove pacing made my head spin with talk of love and marriage early in the piece. Apart from the restaurant scene, I didn’t really see much ‘daddy’ in Ryker - the term got used a lot but I wanted more examples to understand him. I did like the exploration of Julian’s in-your-face femme side, how that caused problems publicly, and how Julian and Ryker supported each other. I found the audio narration by Justin P Lopez a little slow and flat - upping the speed a little didn’t resolve this. Overall, the cover was the best thing about this.

If you don’t like insta-love low-angst happy stories then this book isn’t for you. I enjoyed this book. I thought Ryker and Julian (Jules) were great together. Their chemistry was completely off the charts, as well as hot as hell. Ryker and Julian met when Ryker was at work on a City construction site and a couple of his co-workers were checking Julian out thinking he was a women, and Ryker had great pleasure mentioning to his h*mophobe workmates that they were checking out a man.
The a*seholes then started yelling ab*se at Julian telling him that he shouldn’t dress the way he is as it’s disgusting, Ryker was ready to tell them to shut up but Julian being the sassy little thing told them that they’re just jealous that his heels are height are longer than their d*cks. They started to chase him and as he was running away his heel broke, as Ryker’s work mates were laughing Ryker went to check if Julian was okay, he picked him off the ground, cleaned his scraped knee and lastly glued his heal back together. They felt an instant attraction to each other, and the rest is history.
From their first date to saying I love you was extremely fast, but that’s part of Jayda Marx’s charm. I really enjoyed that Ryker loved the way Jules dressed, and that he liked pretty things. Ryker likes to show he cares about him by giving him sparkly gifts, like Louboutin’s and a diamond necklace. I wish the bad guys wouldve gotten their a*ses handed to them, as they totally deserve it and the whole danger aspect was kind of swept under the rug but I suppose when it’s part of an underground fighting ring it makes sense. The first rule of fight club is don’t talk about fight club. I’m looking forward to reading the next book in the series. I’d recommend this book, series and author to others.

When his co-workers were whistling at this sweet thing walking up the street, thinking it was a woman he had to inform them they were wrong it was a man. They were appalled, he on the other hand was very happy and especially when he sass them about their insults. When they were acting like they were going to go after him,he turned to run and fell breaking a heel that was Ryker's chance to not only help him but to meet this gorgeous man. Julian didn't know what to expect, but was prepared for a beating yet he got help and a date. He couldn't take big hunk a construction worker truly wanted he, but not only did he want a date he wanted to keep him and be his Daddy. I am not new to Jayda Marx (I have actually have read all of her books). And this one did not disappoint! She is the queen of instant love books that are cute and full of quick relationships that go super fast! She also adds a little bit of kink in some of her books and this one includes a“femboy” who loves makeup and dresses and sparkly heels and a big buff construction worker that falls in love quickly! This is a “daddy” book in the sense there that there is a small age gap (about 11 years I think) and the younger man calls the older man Daddy. No age play is involved.
If you love a quick read where the characters fall in love at first sight then this book (really almost any of Jayda Marx's books) would be a great fit for you!

This story is basically fluffy insta-love with tons of smut between a huge "daddy" and his feminine twink. I guess overall it's a quick and entertaining read, but it's not really one I would recommend unless someone wanted an easy read that wouldn't be hard to put down at an interruption.

I must say the more I read this author's work the better I like her writing. This was particularly low angst but a highly sexually charged book. The difference in the height and characteristics of the main characters from height and size and daddy to femboy was very hot and tantalizing. I enjoy how the story line played out, the hero of this was not the one you would imagine. I look forward to more work by this talented writer.

I enjoy Jayda Marx stories and I really liked this story. Yes it does have insta-love but who could complain about Julian and Ryker! Both so sexy and strong and loved how being with Julian gave Ryker the courage to get another job after he lost his due to being almost beaten to death. I was so upset when it happened and so impressed with Julian helping him and understanding why he lied to the police even though the assholes who almost killed him got away with it.

I really like books by Jayda Marx because they are most often cheesy and a little silly and super cute. They are feel good books to me. This was one was no exception. I loved the bulky man that adored his feisty princess. I also liked the story about the fighting but I would have wished for an a little different ending. In general the end felt kind of rushed. I still think this was a good book and really enjoyed reading it.

Another great short read
I love Jayda’s short stories. You always know you’re going to get laughs and a HEA.
This story had me giggling from the start and I have to say I won’t be looking at a banana in the quite the same way again 😂

Always fun
I am never disappointed with a Jayda Marx book. She gives me exactly what I want. Sexy MCs and a sweet and steamy story. Julian was an absolute blast. So sassy and I laughed out loud several times reading his dialogue. Ryker was definitely and alpha male and I was down for it!

Devoured every moment
I loved every moment! I loved the sassiness, the sexiness, and everything in between. Tyler and his adorablely snarky princess Julian are just perfection. This was everything you expect from Jayda Marx: the insta-love, humor, a little bit of angst, and heat for days. I can't get enough and will reread many times.
