While each novel in the Treasure of Paragon series features one couple’s romance, the overall ARC of the series demands that you listen to this series in the order of their release. Spoilers may be found in this review, regarding the series itself.

Things are escalating quickly now that the witches have the key. They just need to unlock it to get the book needed to end the queen’s reign. In the previous audiobook, Colin’s dragon reacted to Leena, the elf scribe, and she to him. But Leena has made an oath to record history and fears Colin will distract her. She demands that he take her home in order to avoid her growing feelings. Meanwhile, the Queen has attacked the five kingdoms of Paragon, forcing alliances.

The Dragons of Paragon was action packed from beginning to end. We saw tremendous movement in the overall ARC and got a few surprises along the way. In fact, I wasn’t sure if this was the last book until a twist developed.

The romance falls to the side because of the action and plot movement, but Jack manages time for swoons, heat, and more. I enjoyed both Leena and Colin’s story and was delighted at how things turned. Both have sacrificed much for their kingdoms and gods.

Fans of paranormal romance, dragons and witches, will love not only the world Jack has created, but the characters themselves. I love books featuring siblings. We get updates on all of them as they were there every step of the way in their effort to save Paragon.

Holly Adams continues her narration of the series and brings these characters and story to life. Her range of voices for both women and men makes her perfect for this large cast. This review was originally posted at Caffeinated Reviewer

Loved it!!!!

I loved this book, which I was worried about at first. Every book in the series has been amazing so far and I was afraid of it ending to quickly the way some authors do. However she tied up the story in a way that made perfect sense and has me so excited to read the Markus' story.

The Dragons of Paragon is brilliant! The penultimate of a nine book series is definitely not a standalone, and yet I marvel at how skillfully Genevieve Jack reminds us of all the key information from the previous books without breaking the rhythm for Colin and Leena’s story.

Colin is the youngest of nine dragon siblings, The Treasure of Paragon, who are forced to war with their mother Queen Eleanor when she chooses domination and destruction over what is right and good. Colin leads the rebellion, Defenders of the Goddess, who now comprise fighters from all five kingdoms in Ouros. Leena is the elf scribe who has been charged with the safety of the sacred scroll containing the instructions to the whereabouts of a magical tome called the Golden Grimoire. Once belonging to Hera herself, the Golden Grimoire contains the most powerful spells, that can either save or destroy Ouros.

The romantic tension between Colin and Leena is achingly beautiful and heartbreaking. Leena has sworn an oath to the Goddess of the Mountain, to devote herself only to Her service. Colin is in love with the brave and dedicated elf and his dragon will have no other. Temptation. Honour. Sacrifice. Such a powerful love story, embedded inside the mounting suspense of the Three Sisters finding the Grimoire and Eleanor pulling out all the stops to get it from them! The climax is epic! EPIC! Everyone has a role. Everything is in motion. Huge moves are made. Think of Avengers Endgame, except with dragons, witches, elves, fairies and vampires.

Wow! Amazing! Such imagination and so well written. Not to be missed. I can hardly wait for Book 9. My favourite quote: “sometimes the dead don’t stay dead.”

Does not disappoint...

Couldn't put it down, characters still have new dimensions, even though it is a series not a lot of time is wasted rehashing history to bring new readers to the series up to speed. Can't wait for the next book, but don't want the series to end! LOVE THIS AUTHOR!

Dragons OH My!

This series has been spectacular, Colin and Leena are attracted to each other, but Leena has pledged her life to serve the goddess, but war comes, and things get messy. All I can say is just when you think you have it figured out, there is a plot twist. This is a great story.

Loved it!

Loved reading every single one of these books in the series and book 8 certainly did not disappoint! Some brilliant twists in the story that will keep you on the edge of your seats I can not wait for the final book but can not believe they're coming to an end. I won't say anymore purely because I don't want to ruin the surprises that lie ahead of you in this book.

These are getting so long and drawn out, with way too many character POVs.

That said, still a good story and I enjoyed it coming to a conclusion. I'm also excited to read Marius' book, especially because it won't have anything to do with the revolution.

Amazing

This was an amazing book! How co!in and Leena's story worked out to the awesome battle. It was great plus I couldn't put it down. Definitely recommend it and look forward to Marius's story. It would really be nice if at least one of the siblings could had a kid also.

Wow!!

Not what I was expecting but totally welcomed. I have loved the build up from one book to the next, and this one did not disappoint. 9 books in a serious a bit much in my opinion, but I find myself not wanting to put them down. I will miss my dragon friends at the conclusion.

The Dragons of Paragon by G. Jack is book eight in The Treasure of Paragon Series and I think it's the semi-final book in this series.
Everything is coming to a peak. The stars have aligned and its time to take back the Throne of Paragon. Colin, along with his siblings is in the center of its all, and alongside is Leena.
Colin's dragon wants her, but the elf scribe has vowed to protect, not demolishe.
But the heart wants what the heart wants - for both of them.
I was sucked into the story right from chapter one. I read this unputdownable book, cover to cover, in one sitting. I had to know what happens asap.
The story is action packed, fast paced, excellent written and beautifull thought out and beautifully told, complex and complicated - just like I love my fav. stories. A great read.

Wow. Loved the story. Just like the previous stories you are hook from page one until the very end. We are getting closer to the end in this series and it saddens me but is also exciting to see what happens. This story is about Colin and Leena. Colin is in the midst of trying to regain the throne with all od his siblings. But also wants the elf scribe, his dragon is determined to have. Her innocence was adorable and added to the story in a way that made it believable and his persistence was great. The story is action packed, filled with angst, love and everything in between. It was an awesome read.

So much action and suspense!

I loved this book so much! Colin is such a tortured soul but man he has some serious game when it comes to inuendos and flirting. I also loved the innocence of Leena - no experience and discovering the mating rituals and learning the ropes of flirting. Not only is there the build up of sexual tension but there is so much maneuvering and action to keep the story moving. The story has so many insights and hints to future Tanglewood Sisters and the next Paragon book. Can't wait to read the stories as they develop more.

This was absolutely phenomenal! I am absolutely thrilled with how this entire series has played out. This is an epic tale that crosses not only continents, but worlds, and it is just so incredibly well written that you are transported to all these different places in full technicolor. The world building is just that good! This, as with every book in this series is fast paced and gripping. This is a series that I will keep on my shelves and revisit many times to come.

This is a great read from beginning to end. So much action, so many storylines coming together and leading us to the final book in this series, with a love story intertwined throughout the book. Very unique characters, very interesting story with surprises to keep you guessing, really great world building. Loved it!

The excitement, the suspense, and the evil continues

I loved Colin and Leena’s fated mates romantic suspense tale with a side of a life’s purpose. This is a fantastic continuation of this spellbinding series. I was again hooked into the story and the world from the first sentence. The book is not a standalone, the overarching story arc in the series means that to fully appreciate and understand the plot, the books need to be read in order. All of the characters/couples from the previous books contribute to this story as a whole even though the MCs of this book have the central storyline. Colin is a dragon shifter from Paragon, another realm. Unlike the majority of his siblings, he did not remain on earth for long after he was sent there. He returned to Paragon after a brief time and quickly learned the truth about his evil mother and what she had done. He has been fighting with the resistance ever since. Leena is an elf scribe which is a holy calling. She has been sequestered with the scribes since she was nine. She left with Colin only to protect the scroll which may hold an important answer for the resistance. To get to their HEA and thwart the Empress’ evil plans once and for all, they will need to deal with the conflict between love and duty along their individual issues. It’s an epic fantasy with all the suspense and swoons coupled with all the feels. The story includes what you’d expect from this genre - fighting, fated mates, steamy encounters, sweet moments, dangerous situations, paranormal creatures, evil masterminds, henchmen, loyal friends and family, tragic back stories, mystical coincidences, snark, political intrigue, plot twists, and laughs. I am excited to read the next book in the series and the beginning of the new era of Paragon.

Colin and Leena fight their forbidden attraction in this 8th book in The Treasure of Paragon series. I knew they had to find a way to be together as their steamy attraction was too much to resist. Between the impending war and other challenges along the way, it was exciting to watch as their feelings were woven into the story thread of taking back Paragon.

A total page turner from start to finish! I could not put this one down, and I read it straight through - no sleep happened until I finished the last page! lol! There were so many threads to tie up, that I couldn’t imagine how it would all come together, but it was perfect!! I cried to see it all end, but was super excited to see Marius is getting his story told! Thank you, Genevieve, for bringing us The Treasure of Paragon series!

The world of Paragon is about to end up in war against the current ruler.
There are dragons, elves, vampires, fairies and witches.
The current ruler is the mother of the dragons featured in the books. The dragons are working with the Defenders of the Goddess to take back control from their mother and end her evil reign.
Leena is an elf scribe and is responsible to take care of recording history and protecting the sacred scrolls.
Leena starts to fall for Colin, one of the dragon siblings and heirs to the throne.
But Leena and Colin are caught up in the coming war and it doesn't look like the best time to think about a relationship.
Plus Leena has given her vow to be a scribe forever.
Meanwhile, Colin knows she is the one for him.
Lots of action and adventure!

Got to say this story being the ultimate kill Elinor story really wasn’t all that focused on Colin and Leena like the previous books in this series focused of the main couple but that also does t take away from the amazing story that unfolded in these pages.
Everything came together, magic exploded, mountains exploded and lava flowed….
This was such an amazing book with a great ending twist that will lead into book 9 so yes there is more to unravel in this series yet.

This paranormal romance is part of a series that is better read in order because the siblings have a common enemy to face. They need to gather all the magical weapons together to have a chance of winning.
This book is the climax of the series. There are many battles. It will keep you on the edge of your seat. We do still get time for romance. Dragons know who they want and are hard to resist. There are also a lot of surprises, especially at the end. Is it the end? No, it's not. Once again, I've bought the next book.

The time has come. All the fighting and the hard work. Will it be enough?
Raven and her sisters are doing everything they can to find what’s needed to defeat Eleanor.
Will they make everything come together in time? You will have to read on to find out.
I couldn’t put this book down. Absolutely sensational read.
