I did not know who Ray Kroc was until I read this Mini Movers and Shakers informative book by Mary Nhin. I should have known something because of the Golden Arches behind him. I highly recommend this book on Mr. Kroc's life where he paid attention to the little things and made something of himself. As a child he was a hard worker. He sold everything even plastic cups. His big break was when he was selling milkshake machines. During one of these visits he saw a restaurant that was very different. What did he do?
This book was very well written. It is factual yet entertaining. The graphics are colorful and quite good. The history of the man that grew McDonald's is super interesting. I would see this working for children 4 to 11. I enjoyed it as an adult. I like the timeline at the end to sum up the facts.
This is a great book about how Ray Kroc managed to become one of the top restaurant owners of all time. Through perseverance and persistence, he does not give up and looks for ways to become better while keeping things the same. An inspiration to all children, letting them know to never give up.
This picture book, which can take less than ten minutes to read, gives a brief biography of Ray Kroc and lessons in persistence and visioning which are suitable for grownups as well.
