Alright! This was a good continuation to Sylvan Captured. First, we were left with a pretty abrupt cliffhanger at the end of book 1 and thankfully in this continuation Sylvan shows a single-minded determination to rescue her missing mate. Losing him seemed to be the catalyst that pushed Syl over the edge to accepting the second member of her harem. (We get to meet the third and fourth members too! The reverse harem is finally coming together. Another hot dragon and surprise surprise a Fae, though it looks like we'll have to wait a little longer for that bond to take place.)
Ty is something else. A dominant man who uses his powerful presence to cover up the inadequacy he feels from his lineage. Even with his faults, I couldn't help but look forward to the next steamy scene with him. He's not just an alpha, but a Dom in the bedroom with a specific kink for bondage.
The story of Cymoid continues hot and heavy. The resistance has found a foothold in one of the six sectors and pushes forward in a freedom fight. The next big baddy is the demon Laleeta, a lust demon who messes up Sylvan pretty badly, to the point that she snaps and hurts somebody. Her spiral of guilt and depression is extreme. With the help of her mates, even the two she hasn't fully claimed, Sylvan gets an awakening in self worth. By the end, another player enters the field and I'm questioning who the heck are the Gladians and how they will play into the next book?
