"Be my girl, Bubbles."
Already am, Stud."

I was really excited about this book because I absolutely loved the first one in the series, and I could totally related to its heroine. Here, I could easily relate to the hero, but to heroine, not so much.

"Never before had she been reduced to a puddle of need and want by a man's mere presence before."
I loved Russell. OK, he has his flaws and there are certain situations he definitely could have handled better, in my opinion. But he was definitely driven when it comes to his job and to caring for his little girl. He definitely has some trusts issues and a few walls that need to come down ASAP. The fact that he is grumpy helps (for me), so I couldn't help but love him to bits.

"She was sunshine and funnel cake. She was the perfect Peggy Carter to his Steve Rogers."
I found it hard to connect to Sabrina. I understand that she can complement Russell because she's the light side to his dark, but she was strong sometimes, and weak other times. She was a people pleaser, and although that also means she's a kind individual who puts others' well-being in front of her own, sometimes you need to know when to say 'enough is enough'. I wanted her to be stronger, and to really own who she is.

"He kissed her like he had every right in the world, like he was drowning and she was air."
Their meet cute was different, and I enjoyed that. They're obviously attracted to each other from the start, but it takes them a long time to get there. Sabrina's insecurities, and Russell's struggles with admitting what is painfully obvious to everyone else made me want to shake them both, get them in a room together, and talk it out. Or... maybe not talk... maybe something else.

"Sabrina, I'm going to blow my load and you're going to tell the world I'm a shit lay."
"All part of my master plan - then no one else will want to steal you from me."

Make no mistake, these two are hot together. There was a lot of chemistry between them, and a few blue balls and blue lady parts that had me laughing out loud.

I loved his teammates and their banter, and how supportive they were of him, and both of them together. I also loved his mom after a while (it took me a bit), and I definitely loved Jude.
I adored Quinn, and I hope she's getting a book of her own because she's awesome.
Also, bonus point for all the Marvel references. Yes, I'm a Marvel fan!

"Sometimes I'm not going to get it right. Sometimes I'm going to be a selfish ass and take space without thinking about how it affects you. I don’t know how to be that person. But I’m trying."
Due to her upbringing, Sabrina thinks she'll never be enough. Due to his past, Russell thinks the same, but in a different way - he mistrusts people. She needed to be pursued and shown she is loved; he needed to be understood and loved for who he is.

"It's different with you. I want you."
The epilogue was just what I needed. It sets the tone to what their relationship is like, and it shows the reader they're in it for the long haul. They're loving, caring, and supportive of each other, but they're also hot, crazy, and passionate about each other.

I've enjoyed this story so much, the single dad trope is one of my favourite.

Russell is a college student, a hockey player and a single dad of a little girl. He has so many things on his plate he doesn't even imagine he could have a relationship. When he met Sabrina, a fellow student, he uselessly tries to resist their attraction.

I liked Sabrina and Russell relationship, they are sweet and funny, but at times I thought they weren't the best choice for each other because I was scared that Sabrina was too kind and not very assertive to stand up to Russell. In the end they succeed to understand each other mitigating their flaws and trusting each other with their hearts.

Two for Holding is a well written story that kept my interest, fortunately I already have next book in the series and I don't have to wait.

5 star Review Two For Holding (Snow Pirates #1) by Lasairiona McMaster

Lasairiona McMaster is a relatively new author to me. Having read the first book in the Snow Pirates series I was excited to read Two For Holding, particularly since our hero Russell Stewart is a single dad to his two year old daughter, Jude. .

Having literally been left holding the baby, what happens when his past comes back to haunt him? Russell doesn’t know how to be in a relationship and when Sabrina enters his life, she is his opposite. She is sweetness and light to his is a grumpy.

I really enjoyed Two For Holding and I was invested in their story from the first to the last chapter. I liked both Russell and Sabrina and it was entertaining to watch their relationship develop as Sabrina slowly but surely knocked down the walls that he has built up. His only priority has been to protect his daughter but as he lets Sabrina in the chemistry between them ignites and their banter is witty.

There were moments where I laughed out loud and also teared up. Two For Holding was a story of love and romance, of taking a chance and I particularly loved his relationship with Jude, it melted my heart,

Ms. McMaster’s wove a story that will draw you in and keep you reading well into the night.

I was given this ARC for an honest review!

It’s safe to say I loved this book just as much if not more than book one. Russell a single dad, college student and hockey player tries to juggle it all. Sabrina a college student who is under constant pressure from her family, falls for Russell.

This book has everything you could want, banter, amazing plot, pop culture references to Marvel and Fancy like. It also PACKS in the spice, and boy is it hot hot!! Sabrina, Russell and Jude are the cutest family. I can’t wait for ore from the Snow pirates.

This series is a MUST read!

Holy Damn!
Vibrator Girl & Mr Warm and Fuzzy (aka Sabrina and Russell) bring the steam and all the heart pulling emotions in Two for Holding, Book 2 in the Snow Pirates series.

He may be one heck of a grumpy pants, but Russell is also a hot shot on the ice and a seriously sweet single dad to an adorable 3 year old daughter Jude.
His meet cute with Sabrina and his adorable daughter Jude is not only laugh out loud hilarious but you know while reading it you won't be able to put this book down until you have finished.

Sabrina and Russell are actually in French class together and can't deny they haven't noticed each other over time.
Sabrina our heroine is so damn adorable and sweet. Not only does she bring some much needed joy and light into Russell's broody world but also to little Jude's who was abandoned by her mother.
But...
When it comes to matters of the heart and relationships Russell has built some serious walls.
Can Sabrina break down those walls? Or should should she focus more on protecting her own heart? Because....

"She was officially in trouble. She was falling for a man who feared commitment."

Oh boy these two wreaked havoc on my heart and emotions. The banter between them at times is laugh out loud hilarious (I mean damn autocorrect right?? 😂🤣). The chemistry and sizzling steam between them is cold shower inducing, and the angst had my heart aching and me feeling damn frustrated.
And..... cue the swoon, Daddy Russell stole my heart. The way he loved, protected and cherished his adorable daughter Jude warmed my heart and had my poor ovaries aching.

What a ride for these two. I loved and devoured every word of their journey in one sitting. The secondary characters were perfect additions to the story. I love all of the Snow Pirates men and adore how while they have each others backs always they don't sugar coat things and tell it like it is.
And after the teaser for Book 3 I'm so ready. Bring on more Snow Pirates.

A Highly Recommended Read & Series.

I found the characters individually interesting and I was happy to see where challenges and obstacles took them. I absolutely loved Jude and everyone's interactions with her were adorable.

However, as a couple together, it just felt there wasn't the chemistry I was expecting. Russell is pretty selfish, except when it comes to his child. Polar opposite, you have Sabrina who will help anyone who needs it. I ended up just wanting Sabrina to stand up for herself when he was not treating her well.

In the end, I was happy with how things ended, I just didn't fully fall in love with the characters as much as I was hoping for.

Two for Holding ARC Review
by Lasairiona McMaster
5+/5 ⭐️ 3/5 🔥

College hockey romance ✔️
Single dad trope ✔️
Grumpy/sunshine trope ✔️
The cutest 2 yr old EVER ✔️
Marvel superheroes ✔️
POC rep ✔️
Great character arcs ✔️

If you couldn’t tell... I ADORED this book.
Literally from the first scene to the last page, I didn’t want it to end.
It’s BY FAR one of the absolute sweetest reads I’ve read. Definitely need to read more books with the single dad trope!

For all it’s sweetness, there was also a LOT of angst. And y’all know... I love the drama. Especially in this one — when it makes sense for the story and is completely necessary for the plot.

Russell is the perfect dark, tall, and broody love interest. He has a hard time trusting and letting people in. He takes a while to open up, and as Sabrina calls him (which he’s definitely NOT 😂) “Sir Warm and Fuzzy”.
Sabrina was just a great MC! I loved and related a lot to her character. As a people pleaser, she gives and gives without getting anything in return.
Throughout the story, both of them grow so much. I love a good love story, but I also need a great character arc, and this had it.

Releases on November 18th! Also on KU!

It can be read as a standalone, but definitely recommend the first one Two for Interference as well!
It has:
Curvy girl rep
Nerdy girl/ jock trope
Secret identity
Opposites attract

Two for Holding is a college age single dad romance following Russell and Sabrina.

We first met Russell in Two for Interference and I absolutely loved him in there, so I was really looking forward to his story.
The opening scene where we meet him and his adorable daughter Jude in Target was just so hilariously cute.
Sabrina and Russell had a lot of unfortunate run ins initially and crossed wires seemed to plague them, a lot of the way through. Their college ages seem to contribute to a lot of the angst… at times making me want to shake them and say talk it out dudes!

I absolutely love the scenes we get with the Hockey guys together. Their banter is so funny, I found myself silly grinning at some of the things they’d come out with to push Russell’s buttons. They also show how much they care about and support each other, and I’m all for it.

Russell and Sabrina had some fun text exchanges. I love coming across these in books! Also the steamy scenes were hot, and I particularly loved the epilogue scene - I’d love to have seen more of that haha!

If you love ice hockey, and angsty college sports romance then this series is for you! Make sure you start with Book 1 in the series though and meet Linc and Cleo in Two for Interference first.

*** 4.5 Stars ***

Two for Holding (Snow Pirates #2) by Lasairiona McMaster is a new adult, single parent, sports rom-com told in third person, dual POV. Although it’s the second book in a series, it can be read as a standalone. The story follows the relationship that develops between a grumpy single father and college hockey player, Russell, and his sunshiny classmate, Sabrina.

I loved Russell and Sabrina’s story! As characters, they were both likable, relatable, and well-developed. Little Jude was adorable, too. Russell and Sabrina had sizzling chemistry, and I enjoyed their banter. They also each had to face wounds from their pasts so they could find love and happiness together in the present. Two for Holding was humorous, endearing, steamy, sweet, and fun. It was just as good as the first book, and I can’t decide which one I liked better. I’m looking forward to reading the rest of this series.

Between the slow-burn romance, the protective dad, and the swoon-worthy sweet moments scattered throughout this book--there were SO MANY feels rolling off these pages. Sabrina & Russell’s story is beyond what I expected, the twist and turns had me sucked in from the very first words. Their attraction was palpable, chemistry explosive and love was so damn swoon-worthy you felt it deep in your soul. The best part of this book is how rough it is, and I mean that in the best way possible. It’s raw, hopeful, heartbreaking, depressing, and uplifting. It combines all of these emotions, and more into one HELL of a story. Two for Holding had me laughing, crying and gave me butterflies! Well, with the exception of wanting to beat Russell with a hockey stick for checking 😍Jeremy Lewis😍!! Do yourself a favor & read this book (and series.) I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

If the wolf in Twilight had smiled anything like Russell, everyone in the entire world would have been Team Wolf.

I’ve wanted Russell’s book since I finished reading Two for Interference…but I was NOT ready for this book! Russell is a broody, grumpy, smart, Marvel loving, hot hockey player that is completely devoted to his daughter and doesn’t have time for much else in his life. Enter Sabrina, the sweet sunshine to Russell’s grumpypants, who is constantly dealing with pressure from her family, but still manages to work past his defenses and starts breaking down his walls.

Sabrina is smart, sweet, considerate, and always helping others, but she lets her family take advantage of her. Once Russell comes into her life and they start spending time together she begins to get the confidence to finally stand up to her family. She still has her moments of doubt, but seeing her find herself and her confidence was amazing. Although considering that she was the one that initiated the first kiss with Russell, I would say that she already had more balls than she thought she did. Speaking of their first kiss…whew, I needed a fan to cool myself off with it was so hot! The chemistry between Sabrina and Russell is straight fire and you get a lot of it in this book.

Speaking of Russell, my sweet, lovable grump has issues giving up control and because of his past has no idea whatsoever of how to be in a relationship. I will give him points for knowing this and admitting it, but it doesn’t mean that I don’t want to reach through the page and smack him in the head when he acts like a complete bone head. But the utter love and devotion that he shows to his daughter Jude is absolutely heart warming. And let’s face it, a hot guy being all sweet and loving with his child will make my ovaries go BOOM. Every. Single. Time.

I love this book so so much. The chemistry and banter between Sabrina and Russell is amazing and I absolutely fell in love with these characters. I think I may even love this couple and book more than Cleo and Linc, and that is saying something because man I love that couple! And is it just me or does Lasairiona have a thing for embarrassing her female characters when they’re buying a vibrator? If you want a book that will give you all the feels, I mean I laughed and cried multiple times reading this, but you’ll also love regardless of said feels, then give this one a try.

It might not have been politically correct to identify as a piece of cheesecake, but she wanted him to lick her the way he was caressing that dessert with his tongue.

A grumpy, sexy, devoted single-father? Yes, please.

4,5 stars.

This book was so good. Just like the first one in the series, I loved the friendships this author creates and how the main characters and their friends are loyal and willing to land a helping hand.
They're definitely a chosen family.

Even though this book can be read as a standalone, I totally recommend reading the first book in the series (Two For Interference), first of all because it's really good, and secondly because we get to meet Sabrina, Jude and Russel.

Since the very first book I was intrigued and excited about their story. I had a huge crush on Russel and was dying to know how he'd react to a love interest after being burned so badly in the past.
Interestingly, he seemed more put together in the first book.
I mean, he was rational, pragmatic and seemed to be always in control of everything in his life. But he had a huger baggage than I expected.
And to be honest, that made him all the more relatable.
He made tons of mistakes, he jumped the gun a lot, he was definitely guarded and his perception of life was extremely tainted. It was heartbreaking to watch, because even though he was so devoted to his little (and adorable) girl, even though he had so much love to give and made it seem like he had everything figured out, he was actually drowing and suffocating in his past.

Sabrina was way lighter that he could ever dream of being. But she was also fighting her own demons. She was a people pleaser, and that made her a special, nurturing woman, but also a target to people who took her from granted (even Russ sometimes).

They were so good together, specially when they put their guard down, yet they had so much to overcome.
This book was their journey and it wasn't a clear path with an obvious route to follow on. They tried sharp turns, ventured in unknown roads, they failed and fell, than got up and tried again.
They did it apart, they did it together.
And the beautiful thing is, even though they had the hability to keep following their path on their own, they chose to do it together.
And considering their background, their burns and traumas, that choice was the biggest, most unadulterated proof of love.

Holy… WOW🥵🔥

Second book in the pirates hockey series & it did NOT disappoint!

“𝙃𝙞𝙨 𝙚𝙮𝙚𝙨 𝙙𝙧𝙤𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙨。 𝘿𝙞𝙙 𝙨𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙨𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙖𝙨𝙢 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙪𝙣𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙚?”

This book follows characters mentioned in the first book
Russell & Sabrina.

Russell is a single, grumpy dad to a 3 year old daughter named Jude. (He’s also a huge beatles fan)
Not only is he a hot shot on the ice when he plays hockey, he’s studying a double major!(smartypants alert!!)

& if that hasn’t convinced you he’s a total studmuffin & sweetheart dispite being a major grumpypants. HE LOVES MARVEL.🥵

The way they basically exchange words for the first time not at school is at Target, it’s a hilarious moment. I won’t spoil it. I’ll never forget it.

𝙑𝙞𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙤𝙧 𝙜𝙞𝙧𝙡 & 𝙈𝙧。 𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙢-𝙖𝙣𝙙-𝙛𝙪𝙯𝙯𝙮。

Sabrina works at Applebee’s and is very attracted to Russell. They have French class together & end up being chosen to be partners for a project.

“𝙎𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙤𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙗𝙡𝙚。 𝙎𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙛𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙖 𝙢𝙖𝙣 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙛𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙞𝙩𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩。”

Sabrina is a breath of fresh air for Russell once he starts to slowly let her in as she breaks down his walls he’s had built up since Jude’s mother left.

The chemistry between Sabrina & Russell is off the charts, the banter is hilarious & the steamy scenes between them is….
Well you may need a cold shower after🔥🔥

“𝙁𝙤𝙧 𝙖 𝙢𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙨𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙤𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙩 𝙬𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙗𝙚 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙜𝙚𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙧𝙮 𝙛𝙪𝙘𝙠𝙚𝙙 𝙗𝙮 𝙖 𝙝𝙤𝙘𝙠𝙚𝙮 𝙜𝙤𝙙 𝙬𝙝𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙩𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙪𝙚 𝙢𝙖𝙙𝙚 𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙨𝙢𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙘𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙙𝙚𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙥𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙨𝙝𝙚 𝙙𝙞𝙙𝙣’𝙩 𝙗𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙫𝙚 𝙞𝙣。”

I hate to say it, but Russell beats Lincoln for me. I thought I was all about Linc after the first book but ouf, Russell took first place. I’m a sucker for a grumpy man, that warms up from a girl.
Plus, the way he is with his daughter… MY OVARIES🥺

~I cannot be more thankful for receiving an ARC for this book. This has easily become another favorite hockey series for me.

I need book 3…. Like yesterday😫😫😫

Single Dad, Russell Stewart, is use to tending to his 3 year old daughter, Jude, along with his mother but that is it. He has experienced heartbreak not only from Jude's mother leaving but due to the relationship between his mother and father. He finally has his life together with that being school, hockey and his little girl and letting people in to help let alone love, well this is not something he is ready for in his life!

Boy, does that change when his 3 year old runs from him in Target, to the cereal aisle and he finds Sabrina, squatting down interacting with her. The Target interaction is one of many that Russell sees how caring and loving Sabrina is but he has a difficult time realizing that this is her nature and keeps her at a distance. Russell has walls built up and over time, a relationship forms between the two, the sexual chemistry is there and heck, his mom, overbearing and protective of Russell at the beginning, comes to realize that Sabrina is a good one that will find a way in his heart to stay and help him break down these walls.

I enjoyed this book and off the top of my head, I believe it to be one of the first where it is a Single Dad in college. Russell was overbearing, protective and grumpy but those moments when he wasn't, were the absolute sweetest. Sabrina, was funny, caring, compassionate, for a while a little of a pushover. When she found her voice and her confidence, with the help from Russell she blossomed. Although this book can be read as a standalone, I do recommend reading Two for Interference, just because you get the characters from the first book! Their dialog in the book was fun and entertaining. I can't wait and see what is in store for us next! :)

Two for Holding
➖rating: 4.5/5 ⭐️’s

Okay, this might just be my new favorite hockey romance series!

Two for Holding is the second book in the Snow Pirates series and it did not disappoint. I absolutely devoured Linc & Cleo’s story and was so thrilled to be able to jump right into the second book with this arc!

Russell & Sabrina are complete opposites, but boy are they the perfect complement to each other 🥵Russell is a grumpy single dad with towering walls around his heart, while Sabrina is the epitome of sunshiny goodness.

This story gave me so many unexpected feels! I loved that the first half was light and fluffy, but then it transformed into something so much deeper/emotional. Russell & Sabrina are vulnerable, they have insecurities, and they’re just real/relatable characters. Russell definitely had a lot more to work through than Sabrina, but it was so so rewarding to finally see Russell’s walls come down and watch him let in his missing piece! 🖤

If you’re looking for a delicious slow burn with lots of humor, emotional triumphs, and sizzling chemistry, then give this gem a read!

Thank you so much to the author for providing me with an arc to review! I can’t wait to add a physical copy to my shelf 🥰

This series is amazing! We are only on book 2 and they have been my favourite reads of the year!

I went into this book thinking that it CAN'T be better than Two for Interference. Well I was wrong.
I didn't connect with Sabrina as much as I did with Cleo, but I still love her! Russ was a dream boat and his interacts with Jude (3 yrs old) made me melt. A superstar on the ice and a superstar single dad.

***SPOILERS***

While in Target, Sabrina runs into Jude opening some cereal with no parent around. In comes Jude's sexy dad - Russell. When they met up Russ looks into Sabrina's grocery cart and finds a vibrator. What an awkward moment. This begins the times that they will run into each other
They are both in the same French class. Both have a strong attraction to each other. Both of them have walls up when it comes to dating. But do those walls come down?

I absolutely loved this book and cannot wait for the next.

Lasairiona is an amazing writer. Thank you for making me fall in love with the world of Snow Pirates

I received an Advanced Readers Copy of Two for Holding by Lasiriona McMaster, and I swear she is the only author I will read hockey romance from!

Russell is a single dad, trying to cope with school, hockey, and his daughter. Sabrina is a college student trying to balance the expectations of her family with what she wants. A fire burns between them, but it will be enough to keep them afloat?

I truly love this book. Its the second in the snow priates series. Russell is the worst communicator I have ever seen in my life. He just doesn't know how to share a burden, and expects the worst from Sabrina. He needs therapy to deal with his commitment issues. I am proud of Sabrina though, for finding her voice and then using it not only to stand up to her family, but also to Russell when he is being a jerk

I definitly liked Linc, the hockey player in the first book more. He was sweet. But Russell has his charm. I loved seeing how much he loves his daughter.

What a story! I fell tail over teakettle for little Jude. Ms. McMaster captured all the rainbows and glitter in her personality just perfectly. There was no way this little imp would let any reader off the hook without falling in love with her. The author has a gift of creating complex but personable characters that worm their way under your skin even when they don’t act the way you want them to behave. She does offer a range of diversity in her writing which is educational but fun. She also approaches difficult topics with sensitivity which doesn’t suck the joy out of the story. Russell gets all the single Dad points!!! The hockey descriptions were so real that I felt like I was at the game!

Russell can have my heart. I usually hate a single dad trope moment but this guy was always (except for the Act 3 conflict) so direct and communicated the good, bad and ugly to make the relationship work.
A lot happened in this book which felt overwhelming and hard to follow at times. I wish there had been fewer plot points and more depth to each event.

I want a book for Will so bad 😍 but am pumped for a return to Molly and to figure out what Finn’s deal is 🙌🏼

Hockey romance
Single dad, adorable toddler
Russell-- rbf, focused on hockey, his daughter, and school, doesn't do relationships
Sabrina-- tends to be a people pleaser, her initial encounters with Russell have either been embarrassing or confusing
They have French together.
He's very skeptical of people with good intentions, while Sabrina is all good intentions.

To know me is to love me and if you know me, you know I love two things most of all: Hockey players and single dad romances.

Guess what?!

Two For Holding has both!

Yay me!

Mr. Warm and Fuzzy aka Russell has a lot on his plate. He’s in college, plays hockey and is a single dad to an absolutely adorable little girl named Jude. He seems to have his sh*t together. Vibrator Girl aka Sabrina is also in college and trying desperately to keep her head above water and avoid her family at all costs.

When Warm and Fuzzy and Vibrator Girl meet it is instant chemistry. They play off each other so well and bring out the best (even if it’s the worst) in each other. From their (second) meet cute in Target to their oftentimes bumpy journey to happily ever after, I was glued to my kindle. I couldn’t get enough of their witty and sexy banter and was rooting for them from page one. Jude and her adorable princess self added that cuteness factor that only a bubbly toddler can add. All in all, I fell hard and fast for all three.

I’m giving Two For Holding the judy.ann.loves.books stamp of approval, TBR and Enjoy!

Two for Holding is a sweet story about a college hockey player/single dad finding the right partner for himself and his daughter. You can’t help rooting for these two characters to work through their challenges and see how much they come to depend on each other.

Sabrina and Russell begin the story in Target, when Sabrina finds Russell’s 2 year old daughter Jude sitting on the floor eating cereal. She easily befriends the little girl, before realizing that she knows her dad. In addition to being a single dad and hockey player, Russell and Sabrina are both full time college students. Russell is completely overwhelmed by his life, and can’t imagine having time for a relationship. But, as he gets to know Sabrina better, he can’t overlook her kindness or their attraction.

This book was a fun read. I liked the way Sabrina and Russell stick up for each other with their families. Russell’s daughter Jude is adorable, and it’s fun to watch Sabrina’s interactions with both of them. These two definitely have some communication and commitment issues. But part of their charm is watching them slowly work them out, whether by talking or simply watching Marvel movies.

I really enjoyed Sabrina and Russell’s story, along with appearances by the other Ice Pirates’ teammates. I can’t wait to read Molly and Finn’s story next!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

What a fantastic addition to the Snow Pirates Series and if the first two books are anything to go by Ms McMaster’s is sure to have a hit series on her hands. The first book excited me but Two for Holding blew me away and I was captivated in single dad Russell Stewart and Sabrina’s journey from the first page to the last line.
Russell was a player on and off the ice but his life was turned around when he was left holding the baby and he has spent the last two years trying to be the best dad to his little girl Jude. He does his best to balance his life as a dad, a hockey player and a student and that means his no time or no idea how to be in a relationship. Life is about to get real interesting for Russell when Sabrina enters his life, she is the complete opposite to him in as far as she is the sweetness and sunshine in everyone’s life and he is the grumpy man we all try and avoid. For the past two years Russell’s priority has been his daughter so how will he react when Sabrina starts breaking down the walls he has built around himself…..
This is a entertaining yet emotional journey. I fell hard and fast for the grumpy man and my heart melted as I watched his relationship with Jude, I adored Sabrina and I couldn’t put their story down. I laughed, I shed a tear as I watched this couple take a chance on love and a relationship all the while putting the adorable Jude first. I highly recommend this gem of a read and I’m excited for what coming next from the Snow Pirates.

Rate:  4.5 / 5 stars

I was very intrigued by Russell and Sabrina in book one of the series, but wow we only got a very small glimpse at them compared to their true history. And it was beyond anything I thought. I loved their connection, their longing, the connection Sabrina immediately had with his daughter.

And Russell was beyond sweet with his little girl. I loved their relationship. Their little moments. He had a great support system, amazing relationships with his friends. I honestly think this was such a great group of characters. I’m really really happy that more books are coming!

I think the way the relationship grew was so cute. Russell was very scared of commitment because of his history with his baby mama, so he eventually screwed up and then had to do a little groveling or as they called it bring out the big gesture. I love that moment in books eheh. These two were so sweet. I wanted more.

I’m dying for Molly and Finn even more now. So so ready for those two!

-------4.5 Stars!!!!-------

Lasairiona is becoming an insta-buy author for me! I devoured this book the second it hit my kindle. Book 2 of the Snow Pirates series follows Russell and Sabrina or #Suss. Russell is Linc's roommate and teammate (from book 1). Sabrina we meet in book 1 when she goes on a blind date with Linc. Theses books are interconnected standalones.

Russ is a single dad with a lot of self-doubt about being enough for someone. He doesn't date because he is too busy with hockey, school and raising his 3-year old daughter Jude. Sabrina is a super giving young women who is struggling with a family that doesn't appreciate her. Add in a few "interesting" meetings between these two and sparks fly.

Only reason this book didn't get 5 stars was, in my personal opinion, you can't top Linc. But oh my lanta when Russ broods and then says, 'Tu me manques - you are missing from me!' I just about died. So hot!!!

If you haven't started the Snow Pirates series, don't wait! Go read it, you will fall in love with #Clinc and boil over with heat because of #Suss! I cannot cannot wait for Molly and Finn...

Dear Lasairiona E. McMaster, I’m gonna need you to stop giving me fictional boyfriends AND girlfriends. I’m now in love with Russel and Sabrina (and I’m still crying Lincoln and Cleo are fictional, too). My love life is tanked enough, I can’t be obsessing over men and women that only exist on paper. 😂

Just kidding! Keep giving me more to fall in love with, please and thanks!!

What an incredible read. I was already obsessed with the Snow Pirates Series after book one, but Two For Holding blew me out of the water, once again.
I feel like Russel is relatable on a lot of levels for a lot of people. While he is a dark and brooding dude, he has his reasons, but his love for his daughter is really what makes me swoon.

Sabrina is a perfect balance in this book. She is the much needed light shining in.

These characters are authentic. The spicy scenes are perfection. The writing and pacing are on point. I don’t know what more could be asked for. Easy 5 stars!!!

Thank you to Lasairiona E. McMaster for the ARC review copy. All opinions are my own and unbiased.

Russell Stewart is just barely able to manage his life as a hockey player, college student, and single dad. He definitely doesn’t have time to add dating to the mix - at least, that’s what he tells himself when he meets Sabrina Sharma. For a commitment phone like Russell, his adorable two year old daughter, Jude, is the only girl he needs. But as he spends more time with Sabrina, he knows he can no longer deny his attraction to her. The question is - can he let her inside his heart?

Wow!!! I loved this second book in Lasairiona E. McMaster’s Snow Pirates hockey romance series. Russell is sullen and growly, yes, but it’s only to protect himself and his daughter. As for Sabrina, I love how selfless she is. I think their personalities compliment each other beautifully, and I love how caring Sabrina is towards Jude. Even when Russell tried to shut her out, Sabrina never gave up hope, and I really admire that about her. I would give this 5 stars and recommend it to everyone who loves a good hockey and/or contemporary romance!!!
