Just how much pain can someone experience before they break? How much more loss can they suffer when there’s no end in sight?
In the wake of unimaginable tragedy, chaos reigns. Not only have the stakes gone higher with Cronus and his allies attacking from all sides, but there's a new player in the game. Someone I trusted and cared about, someone I called a friend. Not only has he betrayed me, but he's also responsible for taking my best friend prisoner.
As we tirelessly search for answers, Earth has become a battleground. Each day, it seems the moment we get close to solving one problem, another crops up greater than the last, leading us to something not even the Olympians could see coming.
Lucy is the author of the Tessa Avery series and the Half-Blood Rising series. She grew up “down the shore” in New Jersey, where her love of the mythological was born when her middle school English teacher introduced her to the Odyssey.
In her spare time, Lucy loves to read, cook, and go hiking with her husband and two daughters. Chaos is her debut novel.
War has come to Olympus and Tessa and the others have to fight for the survival of the whole world.
This is the last book in the Tessa Avery-trilogy, and I didn't want it to end! I received an ARC from the author and should have given my review in the beginning of this month, but I wanted to spend more time with these characters, so I've been reading very slowly...!
As in the previous books a lot happens. The story line is interesting and well planned and I have no real complaints, but this series wouldn't have been quite as good without all amazing characters. Sure, there's a lot of them and not always easy to keep track of, but they all have their own personalities and quirks. I love all the different relationships: siblings, parents and children, lovers and friends. I also love that Lucy Roy has made the gods somewhat human in their actions and ways; it makes them more "approachable".
Now I just have to come to terms with not seeing these characters again...
Oh. My. Gods. I’d give this one 10/5 stars if I could. The book hangover is ridiculously real!
First, fair warning - 🛑 Spoilers Ahead 🛑
Entropy kicks off with Gods, Goddesses, Titans and our favourite Titaness blazing into the war against the evil half of Tessa’s family.
The revelation quickly comes that this isn’t about winning and ruling Earth. This is about destroying it, restarting the world order at any cost, and the bad guys are actually the minions of Chaos. Who is Chaos, you say?
Just one of Tessa’s closest friends from Renville, and the only being who was with her during her years in Chaos.
There’s so much that happens in this book, but Lucy Roy manages to give everything the detail and attention it needs. I’ve loved seeing Tessa, Nate and most of their family delve even deeper into their development as characters.
One of my favorite characters is Mary and I adored the way that her trauma was dealt with and the beautiful relationship that develops between her and Dionysus. Oh my gosh, that got me right in the feels!
The final showdown was incredible and I loved that it was a group effort, because it’s this cast of characters that I’ve fallen in love with and it wouldn’t have felt right for it to be a Tessa only production - although she does absolutely kick butt, which I loved!
The best thing, is that like SJM giving us ACOFS where we could breathe and just love on our characters, Lucy Roy does the same - as the mourning ends and life after the war starts again, everyone heads off for a vacation to Disneyworld which was just so heartwarming and the perfect note to end on.
I love knowing that out there, these characters I’ve fallen in love with, are living happy fulfilling immortal lives ❤️
The only bad part about this book is that it ends, but thankfully, reading the compilation meant I got to read the bonus scenes (so worth it!) and Chaos’ short story, as well as a peek into Mary’s world post-war. It’s all that’s keeping me going, I swear!

I loved it! I read the entire book in 2 days. It was an easy to read book. Paced just right. Not too fast not too slow. I very much enjoyed the mystery around Josh. Slowly obtaining more and more information and then finally figuring out what he is exactly. There were so many things to love: Tessa becoming stronger and learning more about her powers, going back to Renville and the growing relationship between Mary and Dionysos. And the mention of the Netherlands! As a dutch girl who pretty much only reads English books, I don’t see many references to my home country. Maybe a mention here and there. But some characters actually went there for multiple chapters and a couple cities were named. It was something I didn’t know that I need. The reason I didn’t give it 5 stars, is because of two things. First I missed Hades. I absolutely loved his character and have a feeling I didn’t see enough of him. I would have loved more character development of him and his relationship with Tessa. In Paradox I was actually kind of shipping them. The second is I have a feeling that there are too many characters. Both Tessa and Nate have so many family members it is hard to keep track of who is who and what kind of relationship they have. I think because of that some on the relationships lack some depth. But all and all it is one of my favorite series now. It is a very entertaining triology that introduced some powers and creatures that I hadn’t read about yet. The ending with all of them going to Disneyland is everything. Again it was something I didn’t know I needed. A good ending to a great series!

I have loved this hole series and the last last book was just as amazing as the other books in this series. I love how the relationship between Tessa and her brothers had developed and how hard it was for Altas to stop trying to protect Tessa from doing what she need to do. with everything that was thrown at tessa and what was done to her friends made her stronger and more determined to fight for what was right and with Nathaniel by her side she also find the courage to stand up for herself. I have to say I loved how Mary and Dionysos seem to start to form a relationship I loved these to characters and with what Mary went through to have Dionsos there helping her was lovely. Then the curve ball that was josh and how that played out as they had been friends for many years to find out that he had betrayed them and used them to meet his needs no matter what the cost.
These are the first books I have read about the Greek gods and I have really enjoyed reading this series I would recommend you to read them and I can’t wait to see what Lucy Roy’s next book will be about I have absolutely loved this series.
I loved the series finale! The development of the characters and the Relationships they built with each other were so relatable. I felt like I could feel what the characters felt as I read through the pages. Through the words on the pages I was able to create what I thought each character would look like and could envision each scene being described. I loved that the Gods still had a sense of humanity in them and had such distinct personality traits. The quirky personalities of the gods actually made me LOL. There were twists and turns throughout the book and just when I thought I figured something out something else would happen that had me second guessing myself. The epilogue was so enjoyable and light hearted but made me sad that the series was at an end. I strongly recommend this series. The author is incredible and creates a world where you can sit back and escape reality and just enjoy!
Lucy has done it again. She seamlessly integrated us into a vastly different world with so many beautiful lives to watch. The conclusion to this trilogy was well worth the wait.
Tessa, Nathaniel, Yana, Anette, Mary, Dionysus, and so many more truly gave me the happy ending I was hoping for. To find our friends spending time together on the happiest place on earth, outside of olympus was amazing. Lucy gave us a story of family and friends and love, but also of creation, trust, and more than a little bad guy.
When reading, just remember not everything is as it seems. And sometimes, every now and again, the story is even better than you might think.
Thank you Lucy for the pleasure of this novel, these friends, and your wordsmithing. You and your stories truly are magical.
I could have continued to read book after book about Tessa, Nate, and the rest of the Gods. There was a small part of me hesitant to read this book because I didn't want it to be over. Boy am I glad I finally sat down and read through it. My heart broke for Tessa time and again as enemies take from her and she is betrayed. But I also laughed at the fun personalities the Gods have, rejoiced in Tessa's successes and ended the book with a huge smile on my face after reading the epilogue. I can only hope Lucy Roy eventually writes more tales of side characters so we can get a glimpse at what Tessa is up to next.
What an end to a fascinating, and utterly gripping series. I honestly can't put it into words! Usually in reviews, I'll write a little about the story (minus spoilers) and give my opinion, but somehow, this story is much too complex, with so many layers to explain. We find out all about Cronus and his allies, who the heck is causing so much chaos, the relationship between the gods, deities, and Zeus, and so much more! If you've read the other books, then I can happily say, Mary has quite a few chapters. She's a firm favourite of mine and her story - within this story - is fantastic.
I want more because I don't want it to end! This series got better with each book. The twist in this last one was so fantastic! There are so many pieces of the puzzle that is Entropy that my brain got a work out. Relationships, both existing and ones I really hoped for, are so beautifully written. It is difficult to write about it without giving things away. I am proud of Tessa for gradually realizing she doesn't have to listen to her overprotective brothers all the time. And honestly, I just love Dionysus! Looking forward to more books from Lucy.
Entropy is the 3rd and final book in the Tessa Avery series. This book made my heart hurt several times as Tessa and the others deal with the loss and betrayal. Tessa has grown so much in this series and I loved watching her find herself and find her love. Nate is so good for her. He helps bring out the best in Tessa and that's a great thing to have in a lover. I'm sorry to see this series end but I can't wait to see what Lucy Roy has planned for her future books.
I was Lucky enough to be an Advanced reader for this book. I was excited as it was book 3 in this series. It’s characters of Tessa and Nathaniel and even Zeus and Hera. The character come across as real with emotions and feelings. I was glued to this book from start to finish. I hope you enjoy this read

Unfortunately I felt this final book in the series was too slow and weighed down by too much dialogue. I wanted a lot more action for the huge showdown overall. I found myself frustrated at the over the top over protectiveness of Tessa - let the poor girl be!
I knew I could barely wait for Entropy to come out It did not disappoint!!! I absolutely loved chaos,Paradox and love the world that Lucy Roy has created. Seeing the bonds built in Chaos grow during all three books was amazing. You will love this series!
This was just absolutely brilliant! I even felt a tear run down my cheek at the memorial! This trilogy has been such a pleasure to read with amazing characters! I love the idea behind it and love reading what people to with the legendary Greek gods and titans! Would thoroughly recommend!
This book was an amazing finish to the series. I really hope she continues in the same world with maybe Marry and some other God that shall not be named....
I hate saying good bye to Tess and all her friends.. hoping to have a spin off about Mary and a certain someone .... loved this book. The author tied up all the loose ends and kept the action coming.
