When the Hacker is Forced to Marry

Rate this book
Lin Yan never thought that as the most useless and ignored Guide in the royal family, she would now be forced to marry!

To avoid marrying a leader of a former mercenary group that had just been recruited by her family, Lin Yan hacked the royal family’s special vehicle and escaped the dreaded Palace.

After spending half of her life as a secluded hacker princess, Lin Yan was quickly bewildered by a world of sensual pleasure and met a graceful, charming, and enchanting Miss Sentinel.

Ah! Indeed, this is the proper way to choose one’s partner!

Miss Sentinel turns around, a flirtatious gaze dancing on her face as she said with a slight smile:

“My name is Kristen.”

What a beautiful name…..wait, isn’t that the exact same name as the arranged partner I’m being forced to marry?!!

This is a story about a soft hacker princess who is protected and loved within the embrace of her alluring lover.

【”I hope that you can live a life full of happiness without worry.”】

this took me wayyyy longer than it should have to read (5 months! wtf!! it's only 60ch!!!)

Anyways this was a good story, although a lot of important plot points ended up just kind of "happening" when it came down to it, and the main characters were quite OP, it was overall cute and entertaining. I also found it a bit weird that the MC and FL just kind of fell in love very suddenly, but the vibes of the situation were very much that the author just really wanted her OCs to kiss so I forgive it. For the majority of the story I was going to give it a solid 3⭐ but the story improved in the last maybe 15ch? so overall I give it a 3.5⭐

HOWEVER I rounded it up to 4⭐ for the unexpected tragic yaoi side pairing?? like bruh my emotions in those last few chapters about them omg 😭 so sad and yet it is the best possible ending for them (no spoilers lmao but 😭😭😭). I came here for the awesome OP yuri and accidentally got destroyed by doomed yaoi in the process.

Anyways, this is also my first time reading guideverse so it has been a learning experience. Tbh I think this novel is a good place to start because the author clearly likes omegaverse so the world settings of this novel were quite similar, making it a good transition novel to get into guideverse stuff.

Finally completed omg😭

When hacker is forced to marry : 4/5

This was such a nice short read (took me more than a month to completely coz I was in reading slump). I actually liked the characters l, love how the plot unveiled. Tbh when I was reading for the first time, I found the book boring😭 but I loved it when the plot started to brew.

Just like author didn't expect that they gonna introduce human rights and stuffs. Ofc our mc was super cool. Also can we talk about fl, she literally reminded me of himeko😭, her outfit and red dress even though they were not similar but still😭.

There is no angst so if you are going for it please remember this part. There are few sad part but not so heartbreaking. If you want to read short sci fi with mecha and space fight involved, do consider this book.

The plot was pretty interesting! The romance was a bit too fast paced for me but it was ok
3.5/5 overall (4/5 for the plot, 3/5 for the romance)

The romance was okay, I guess I wasn't sold on Lin Yan suddenly reciprocating Kristen's feelings after Kristen confessed to her, especially so earlier on, but the plot was intriguing and I've only ever read a few stories with the sentinel-guide system so that's what was really keeping me going. I also loved the comedic bits in the novel and I kind of wish the author went in that direction for the main romance. But the worldbuilding and politics made up for it IMO.
