i didn’t really enjoy these characters but what i was most interested in was rosalie and the horsemen and the funeral they kept referring too….IS FOX DEAD ?!?? if fox is dead i will not be reading another book!! also they have a kid now?? i’m guessing it’s fox’s but is he dead?? like i’m not kidding if you plan on killing off fox change your mind!! take anson!!

Great spin off with spice

Jamie, Spencer, and Colten, who would have imaged, years after the Black Falls High series? Their turbulent relationship is exactly what transpires, and their story is wrought with discord of past history, insecurity, and self-doubt. Besides the emotional angst coursing through this second chance romance, juicy tid bits and hints of favorite polyfamily Rosie and her Horsemen from the Black Falls High series infused this story. Jamie is now in college, and Spence wants a second chance. Enter Colten, their new professor with whom they have both had romantic interest.
This forming ménage is sizzling. Not only is it MMF spicy (3.5), but it just feels so adult, relatable with mature themes of turmoil linked with taboo and personal baggage. Experience them work through their conflicts as more obstacles unveil, more angst charges, and more measured strides pace to their path to love. If there was more I wanted, it would have been to spend a lot more time with these complex characters and a little less of the former, albeit well-loved, BFH mentions — not that I didn’t enjoy every minute. Jamie, Spence, and Colt were very alluring on their own.
Written in multiple, first person points of view, this tale ends in an awe-inspiring, clutching your heart cliffhanger, and I seriously don’t know how I’ll wait for book 2. Double Dare You is an emotionally gripping love story, fast-pace read, and a welcome contrast and link between next series. Very much enjoyed it.

I was looking forward to this series ever since I finished the Black Falls High series and the breadcrumbs were tantalizingly scattered right at the end for us. Not to mention the promise of anxiety and stress that Ms Reuss eluded to when it came to some insight into some hard times Rosie and her Horsemen will have faced since we last saw them (anxiously awaiting the Mayfair series!!).
Double Dare you is set as Jaime commences her senior year at Rayton. She is still haunted by the terrible breakup with Spencer, her high school boyfriend and the scathing way in which he broke her heart. Not only that, but when she finally took a chance and opened her heart to someone new, he ghosted her. Now three times unlucky in love, is it finally time for the tides to change, is luck finally back on her side? when not only Spencer but a 'calculatingly' handsome man from her past come crashing back in her life with a double dare she would simply be crazy to pass up.
Though this book was originally meant to be a standalone, it had to be converted into a duology after timing issues (and perfectionism - can't fault that) made it impossible for Ms Reuss to release all together. In true cliffy queen fashion, the ending will leave you aching for more, I pinky swear.

A very different KG story
Double Dare You is a spin-off of KG’s Black Falls High and Mayfair books. There are big parts of this story that won’t make much sense of you haven’t read those as the main characters are from those books.
This is a tale of three romances that ended before they should have…three people who should be together…three hearts to mend and break all over again.
Jamie is drifting. She’s a senior with no declared major and a lot of anxiety.
Colten feels like a failure. He’s getting divorced and has wound up teaching college students much to his dismay.
Spencer is on a mission. He should never have let her go and now he’s determined to get her back.
This story doesn’t have the triggers most KG books have. There’s plenty of angst, but the complications are from the relationships, not other forces. There’s most definitely a cliffhanger that will leave you wanting the next book NOW. Well worth the read.

Wow. I was so excited to read more about Jamie. I loved her as a side character in the Black Falls High series as Rosalie’s friend.
This story starts during Jamie’s 3rd year in college when her old love Spencer walks back into her life. But we also see Colton, Cole’s brother, whom we find Jamie also loves. What starts as a love triangle turns into a ménage.
I love this universe that the author KG Reuss has written. I give the story 3.75/5 and the spice, while there wasn’t a lot of it, definitely give it a 5 for the quality of it.
Excited for book 2!

Such a rollercoaster of emotions in this book!!
I’m so torn over loving this book or wanting to throw it across the room. This isn’t one of KG’s dark romances but it has so much tension and angst it just jumped off the page at you. I loved Spencer and Jamie’s story in the Black Fall High series so I was thrilled they were getting their own story and a chance at redemption and what a sweet sweet redemption story it was for them! Spencer is so dedicated to getting her back and showing his love that it was really sweet. His jealous moments were perfectly placed too and I would’ve loved for Jamie to torment him a little more too.
The other gentleman in the picture took me by surprise. I won’t write the name cause I don’t want to give it away but I loved how his character evolved through the books as he grappled with his feelings for both Spencer and Jamie. They all have history together and their love is so pure that the cliffhanger just annoys me so much. He was such a coward and even though I dislike him immensely I’m just so invested in their love story that I need their conclusion ASAP.
Total side note, those Easter eggs about the Horsemen and Rosalie from when they are at Mayfair is sooo not okay. I’m terrified to find out what it all means cause I’m pretty sure it is going to wreck me.

This is part 1 of an MMF ménage college romance duet featuring Jamie and Spencer from the Black Falls High series and the third MMC is someone we met briefly in the series but I won’t give away who it is. If you don’t want spoilers for Mayfair University then you shouldn’t read this book before Mayfair comes out as there are a ton of spoilers and I’m not gonna lie, the spoilers drove me crazy because all I wanted to do was read Mayfair University and find out what happened two years prior to the events in DDY. Those spoilers definitely ramped up my anxiety for Rosalie and The Horsemen.
I would say this is a slow to medium burn because not everything is smooth sailing between the characters at first. They have a lot of issues to work through between the three of them but they eventually do get there and enjoy each other for a time before KG throws us a cliffy. But everything in between was full of angst, tension, love, heat and spice. I loved getting to know Jamie and Spencer better after seeing them as side characters in Black Falls High and I did feel for Jamie after what she’s been through and the way it affected her/her relationships. She prefers to be in the background unnoticed but there are two men that definitely notice her. Spencer was so sweet and so determined for them all to get their HEA, I really loved how he never gave up on what he wanted. Our third MMC has some big decisions to make in the next book. So angry at him for how he handled everything at the end.

I didn't love this, but I did like it.
As a FMC, Jamie didn't really do it for me. I wanted to like her, but there wasn't much to like with her paper-thin, one-dimensional characterization. Her entire personality seemed to be: girl who had her heart broken twice. She had no likes or hobbies and her friends seemed to only exist to sell other books.
While Colton is ice cold and not my usual type of book boyfriend, Spencer is pure fire and made this book for me. I've been curious about his relationship with Colton ever since their run-in back in Black Falls High and I'm glad I got a chance to see them together.
The ending was sad, but not surprising, considering Colton's history. I guess once a conflict-averse coward, always a conflict-averse coward. I want him to grovel to the other two for breaking his promise, yet I foresee it going the other way, with Spencer and Jamie pursuing him. Don't really think he's worth it, but whatever.
Aside from that, I was shocked by all the reveals for the Horsemen universe. It looks like I might get my way after all, with Rosalie leaving those selfish, controlling assholes and getting with Anson. I don't believe for a moment that you-know-who is you-know-what. If anything, it's a fakeout for Rosie's benefit. Cole didn't annoy me half as much in this book as he did in the last two, but then again, he's no longer hurting Rosie with his selfishness and narcissism. I hope he learns something before whatever big reunion is in the works.

Oh, where to start? I loved this book! It will definitely rank in my top 10 reads of the year (along with Church, obviously)! It was the perfect mix of angst, stream, and sweetness!
Doble Dare you is Jamie’s story with two hot guys! I loved the guys so much!! There was so much heartbreak, wittiness, and love! I just couldn’t get enough!
We first meet Jamie in Black Falls High (BFH) as Rosalie’s bff and get to see her first “love” experience, the aftermath of it. This helps understand her way more and where her weariness comes from.
I strongly suggest reading BFH BEFORE getting into DDY, as we see and hear from the main characters of that series. Also, there is a new series coming called Mayfair that takes place two years prior from the current timeline that involves the BFH characters. In DDY we get all the breadcrumbs of what happened during Mayfair, so if you haven’t read BFH you might get a little lost and won’t fully understand the dynamic and some conversations. Plus, it’s super good!
Tbh, in BFH I really overlooked Jamie, but DDY had me falling in love with her character! The dynamic between her and the two MMC is chef’s kiss! And talk about that cliffhanger! I can’t wait to read the second book in this duology! It’s a good thing KG Reuss mentioned it wont take long for us to get it!

Another absolutely amazing book by KG Reuss. I love her work and her world building between series. This book duo is based around Jamie who is Rosalie from the Black Falls Highs series best friend. This book takes place 2 years after the Mayfair book series that has yet to be released so if you do not want any spoilers for Mayfair you might want to wait to read this until Mayfair has been released.
I loved Jamie in the BFH series she was such a great friend to Rosie. I love her again in this book as well. I totally see myself in her. The best friend who gives their all but doesnt believe they deserve anything for themselves. The girl who got hurt in the past and is afraid to put herself out there again in the fear of getting her heart broken again so just sticks with the status quo even though she is no where near happy with her life.
A couple of men from Jamies past come back into her life and bring up those old feelings again. Spencer made the move to be closer to Jamie because he wants her back. He is totally in love with her and knows he messed up when he broke her heart but he plans on making it right.
What neither of them counted on was the 1 man who broke both of their hearts to show up and put a huge wrench in things.
This book is a medium-slow burn but once it gets to the sexy scenes those scenes are absolute fire. The MM in this book is so amazing I wish there was more!! I absolutely can not wait for the next book in this duo!!!

I promise you can NEVER go wrong with a book written by K.G. Reuss! I love that a lot of her series are interconnected and we get to see familiar faces time and time again!
Double Dare You focuses on Jamie and Spencer and these characters are from the Black Falls High series. If you have not read that series yet; ONE - what are you waiting for?!?!? And TWO - this book will be very confusing to follow since Rosalie and the Horsemen are also brought up multiple times throughout. Those breadcrumbs about Rosalie and her men had me dying to know what the hell happened between them too! Anxiety and FEAR were pushed to MAX LEVEL!
This book also takes place two years after the events of Mayfair (a new series that has not been released yet) so if you don't want any spoilers don't read this book before it comes out.

I have sooo many mixed emotions.
Let me start with I love this author and she NEVER 👏🏼 DISAPPOINTS! 👏🏼
In order to follow this story completely and not be totally lost, you need to read the Black Falls High Series. (Start with In Ruins). Those characters show up here. In Black Falls High, we meet Jamie. She’s Rosalie’s best friend and kind of a backseat character. This book makes her the main character.
Also, please find the road map of these books. This book is intertwined with a few series. The author lets you know in the beginning that this book has a lot of breadcrumbs and happens after the upcoming book May We Rise. It is YOUR choice if you want to wait for all the pieces, or dive in.

Jamie attends Rayton University. She keeps to herself in an effort to protect her heart. She has trust issues from high school (her crush tried to unalive himself and her best friend, Rosalie). She later meets Spencer and falls in love. He studies abroad and ends up breaking things off with her.
She then meets Colton at someone’s funeral (lots of breadcrumbs leading into other series). Colton Scott is the older brother of Cole Scott (one of Rosalie’s Horsemen). Colton and Jamie have a brief romance, but due to his crappy life, Colton walks away. Leaving Jamie heartbroken again.
So now, fast forward to present day. Spencer is back and has transferred to Rayton University. Jamie does her best to avoid him, until he shows up in her Calculus class. But wait…there’s more! The professor, none other than Colton Scott.
Jamie is an absolute wreck as feelings of lust and anger go haywire. But again, there is ALWAYS more!
Spencer is bi-sexual. Something that Jamie was aware of. Sometime between their split and his reappearance, he had a romance with none other than Colton Scott. He fell in love with Colton, and he too got his heart broken. So when Colton walks into their calculus class, Spencer is also shocked to see him.
Colton isn’t ready to admit he’s bi-sexual. He loves Jamie. And also loves Spencer. What a mess! Can Jamie accept that part of him? Can the three of them make it work?
This book left me on the edge of my seat. It was worth every “WTF” moment. The cliff hanger is explosive. And if I know anything about this author, these stories are going to have a BANG when it’s all said and done. This reader is not so patiently waiting to get to said BANG 😂
Let me start with I love this author and she NEVER 👏🏼 DISAPPOINTS! 👏🏼
In order to follow this story completely and not be totally lost, you need to read the Black Falls High Series. (Start with In Ruins). Those characters show up here. In Black Falls High, we meet Jamie. She’s Rosalie’s best friend and kind of a backseat character. This book makes her the main character.
Also, please find the road map of these books. This book is intertwined with a few series. The author lets you know in the beginning that this book has a lot of breadcrumbs and happens after the upcoming book May We Rise. It is YOUR choice if you want to wait for all the pieces, or dive in.

There isn't a book this author writes that I don't love. This one is no exception.
This book is a spin-off from the Black Falls High series and follows Roselie's best friend, Jamie. If you haven't read BFH, stop here.
Jamie was the sweet and thoughtful best friend in high school. She experienced a few heartbreaks and now, her senior year in college, she is emotionally unavailable. A blast from her past suddenly appears as the Big Man on Campus transfer student and turns her world upside down.
Spencer has always been open with who he is. His bi-status was never a secret. He meets someone, but lies about his age (he is an adult). Their connection is undeniable, yet the professor will not accept who he is. He has a burden plaguing him, but doesn't want to disturb the dynamics in his new relationship.
The professor is harboring secrets that he never wanted anyone to discover. He has yet to accept who he is and pursues happiness or go back to responsibilities that he is unsure that are really his to contend with.
As always, the author writes a gripping story that will leave you invested in the characters lives and what the future holds.
This is an MMF duet.

what a double dare ;)
Been anxiously waiting for this book, hoping for a HEA for Jamie. After the Ian drama and being friends with Rosie and her harem. So far the part 1 of the duet didn’t disappoint.
The book happens 2 years after the Mayfair series which is yet to be released but the questions started within the first chapter. K G Reuss has a way of writing her books so that they tangle together.

Reading his love for her was epic but then throw in the hot professor AKA Colten that they both have a past with and still are in love and he loves them. His issues of understanding his true self is such a difference to his enforcer and confident brother Cole but in the end a double dare from Spencer see’s then agreeing to be in a relationship or a ménage and the MM action does not disappoint.
Reading about the horsemen and Rosalie I’m so intrigued to see how the Mayfair series goes.
Finally the drama between Colt’s soon to be ex wife and her pregnancy causing him to run abruptly but the determination in the chase from Spencer is something I’m looking forward too.

O.M.G…I am so confused. Well, not really. I was a little at first as I was wondering what all that happened to Rosalie and the guys and why they were not together. I admit I had to go back to Black Falls High series to reacquaint myself with Rosalie and the guys. I can’t wait to see what will happen with Rosalie and The Horsemen and find out what comes next for Jamie, Colton, and Spencer. Double Dare You was filled with so much twists, turns, things going sideways, drama, angst, secrets, revelations, all the feels, and so much heat. I really really can’t wait to see what Jamie, Spencer, and Colton are going to do next. I have to admit I could not put Double Dare You down and could not stop reading. I highly recommend Double Dare You, Mayfair University world (this book takes place in the Mayfair University world) or should I say series, and K.G. Reuss as and author. K.G. Reuss is definitely on my favorite authors list. I can never get enough and can’t wait to see what comes next as there was so much happening in this book and in related books (characters with cameo appearances and some interacting with Jamie and the guys). K.G. definitely can spin a wonderful story and interconnected series like nobody’s business. Happy reading!!

This book is for everyone like me who absolutely loved and adored Jamie and Spencer in the Black Falls High series. When that series ended I was bummed because I wanted to see what happened with Jamie and Spencer and hoped they’d get their happy ending. This book fills you in on what has happened for these characters since they graduated high school.
Spencer has always been such a great character because he’s like a puppy, I swear! He’s funny, charming, so positive about everything, and very outgoing. Then you have Jamie who has always been a bit timid and shy, very quiet, and just kind of wants to fade into the background. They are the ultimate definition of opposites attract and I am so here for it! You’ll also love the other character that makes their throuple but I’m not going to spoil that for you.
Add in all the teasers about what’s been going on with Rosalie and the Horsemen and a guest appearance by my absolute favorite man and you will be sitting on the edge of your seat to see what happens with these characters! Definitely a great book and it felt like coming home being with these characters again!

Gahhh, this book is amazing.
If you've read The Black Falls High series then you definitely need to read this spinoff! I just love how interconnected K.G. Reuss's books are and like always I could not put it down.
Jamie is in her senior year of college and still trying to figure out what she wants to do after she graduates. Not only does she have to navigate the stress of that but two old flames suddenly come back into her life. The tension and chemistry were off the charts!
Overall, this book focuses on topics of finding/accepting yourself, taking risks, forgiveness, and learning to trust again. Tropes included are second chance, forbidden, MMF, and also MM. I am really excited for the second book, Double Dare Me!

Another fantastic book by KG…But Now I am seriously nervous for my horseman in Mayfair. Double Dare you is a duet with Jamie, Rosebuds from BFH best friend. It takes place during the end of the Mayfair series. And while it gives us hints of the Mayfair universe and what is happening at with the horseman and Rosalie I am now terrified for As We Fight and when we fall. Jamie had a thing with Spencer. We heard about them a decent amount in BFH. But NOT ONLY does Jamie have a thing for Spencer, she is also hot for teacher Colten! Now Colton is Cole’s brother from BFH, one of Rosalie’s men, and he has a thing for Jamie. He gave her comfort and fell for her after the big event takes place in the Mayfair side of KG universe. He also had a thing with Spencer…while Spencer was still in hs. I am out going to say much more but damn..KG always gets me. This is a very tame cliff hanger for KG. I got invested with these characters more then I thought i was going to and now i need Double Dare Me sooner rather then later. I can’t wait for the next installment in the universe that KG has created.

You can NEVER go wrong with reading a book written by this author. I really like how this author’s series are interconnected and you get to always see some familiar faces.
This book is a spin off from the Black Falls High Series. It focuses on Jamie and Spencer, who are characters from this author’s Black Falls High Series.
You need to read this author’s Black Falls High Series before because you will have a harder time following what’s going on.
This was such a great MM/MF/MFM story. It will be part of a duet.
You get to see more of Jamie and Spencer and what they’ve been up to since high school.
It was great to see these characters get a bigger role within this interconnected series. I loved the surprise cameo that pops in. I loved the spicy scenes between the three MC’s.
It wouldn’t be a K.G. Reuss without a shocking cliffhanger. I can’t wait to read the next book to see what’s going to happen next and what kind of journey these characters will go on.

Left me hanging AGGGAAAAIIINNNN 😭
KG can do no wrong to me but daang does she love to tease us with her cliffies
now onto the book, I absolutely devoured this one like the last few of hers…
I loved how the ménage FINALLY came together but I literally could not stand all of them with their “I won’t stand in their way of happiness” like they really couldn’t tell the “other person” were each other lol
I couldn’t stand Clara and I figured she was preggo when she kept contacting Colten but he should just say eff her…I also really hope the baby isn’t his cos she doesn’t deserve to even speak to him
I’m super curious about what happened with Rosie and her horsemen, Cole visiting kinda pieced some clues together but like I need their story now and how Jamie is involved in that…
I dislike how insecure with life and herself Jamie is, I hope being with Spencer and Colten she realizes how amazingly strong she is and how amazingly beautiful she is….I hope the next book shows how she changes and embraces herself and her relationship with the guys.

I don’t know how K.G. Reuss does it (actually I do, she’s one of the most talented authors out there). In Double Dare You, you will get Jamie’s story (if you’ve read Black Falls High, you’ll remember that Jamie is Rosalie’s best friend).
In this Black Falls High spin-off, we find Jamie in her senior year of college, being faced with the return of two men she loved very much. However, will Jamie and her men be able to navigate as a throuple? Or will one of them run?
This is a must-read book. It is H-O-T, with both MM and MF scenes, where it is also professor/student(s). I do not know where to start. I have a lot I want to say, but how do I word it?! I guess to start this book was chefs kisses. It was everything – no more – than I expected from Ms Reuss.
This book was somewhat a slow burner, but it was justifiable. You got to learn about the characters I felt and understand why they have their reservation and what made them. You also watched them grow into their relationship and realise that they are meant for each other. Even when they realised that you still got to see their demons. My heart broke for each and everyone one of the main characters, and the characters from BFH in their cameos.
Now am I happy with the cliffhanger? No. Did I want to dock stars off for it? Yes. Yes, I bloody did. But I didn’t because I knew the author will make up for it in the second book and I’ll be screaming and crying simultaneously.
On a final note. Can I just say the ending 🥵.

Okay I knew this was going to happen, I knew that gold digging s**** Carla was going to say that just to get Colt to come back.....She trapped him bc she wants his money, not him. She sleeps with anything with a d***.... Ooh I hope Spence throttles his a** when they go after him... If she is pregnant it's more and likely by one of her f*** boys... And plenty of people have babies together but aren't together. It's selfish to make child see you unhappy and think that they have to sacrifice their happiness for someone else. That isn't teaching them anything good. I was damn glad my sons father and I split, he couldn't keep it in his pants either... Colt doesn't need to be with her to be a father. And she can't tell him that he either stays or goes. He has rights if it's his. She just wants his trust...... he is DUMB AF.....I'd love to throttle him...js... another great one K.G. Reuss....

This is the story of Jamie, Rosalie's best friend from Black Falls High. It's set 2 years after the Mayfair series, which isn't yet completed so this story has little breadcrumbs and insights into what happened at Mayfair which causes all sorts of questions because we don't yet know!
I loved this story though and I'm so glad Jamie got her own book. This book ends on a cliffhanger and its a frustrating one for sure! But still definitely worth reading Jamie's story the now.

It is more slow burn with medium spicy scenes and lots of angst. Spencer is my fave character since he seems the most mature. I still have yet to like Colt since I could feel we were going to have the most drama with him.
Everything we learn about Rosalie and the horsemen is heartbreaking, and gives me anxiety not to think of them all together. The glimpses of their life were the most interesting part of the book.

I freaking love Jamie and I love had story, but all these little hints about Rosie and her Horsemen have my blood pressure skyrocketing and my anxiety on overload!!
Double Dare You is one of my favorites I have read this year! KG wasn't kidding when she said it's gonna hurt on the way to the HEA!! This book is full of action, drama, broken hearts, amazing spice and you can just feel the love these 3 have for each other.
That cliffhanger has me dying to know what happens next!

What an amazing and emotional read! I loved the Black Falls series so I was excited to dive into this book which features Jamie and Spencer from the series.
Jamie has been through a lot since the Black Falls series including a lot of heartbreak. She has closed herself off to love and so many other things to protect herself. I love Spencer’s character! He’s so optimistic and determined to get what he wants. The third character in this ménage is hot! I wanted more of him but then he ripped my heart right out and I just wanted to punch him.
This book left so many breadcrumbs for what’s to come in Mayfair that I can’t wait to read that later this year. I’m also so excited for the end of the duet. I need to know what happens and I definitely want more spiciness from these characters!!!
