One month as a shifter, and it’s already up to me to save the pack.
But to do that, I’m going to have to marry the enemy.
It’s a cruel twist of fate that’s left me marked as Rylan’s mate…but not as cruel as he is. From the moment I step into the compound where he bases his army of shifters, he makes one thing very clear.
He will be obeyed.
At all costs.
Taken hundreds of miles away from my own pack into new territory, I soon find I may have more allies than I anticipated. Not all at the compound are loyal to Rylan. I might be trapped here, but at least I’m not alone.
Or I won’t be for long.
If Roman, Teague, and Elon don’t find me soon…the demons will.
A war is brewing, and I’ve found myself placed at the very center of it.
I’ve made the ultimate sacrifice to save my mates, my adopted pack…but it still might not be enough.
Alpha Returned is the third (and final) book in a reverse harem romance trilogy full of rejected mates, surprising alphas, and plenty of steam. Recommended for readers 17 and up.
While this book was better than Alpha Rejected and Alpha Rising, the pacing was still slow to me. At least this book had a few chapters from her true mates POV, just not enough.
Alpha Returned takes place right after the events in Alpha Rising. Sydney has volunteered to go with Ryland as his mate and future bride in order to prevent the slaughter of the Nashville Pack. She has to find a way to get out of this while saving her pack, her sister-in-law, Isla and her own life. She finds a beautiful pack compound but all the shifters there seem like robots. There’s no laughing, joking, or normal interaction between pack members. Ryland runs his pack with fear, intimidation and an iron fist. When word spreads that she voluntarily came with Ryland in order to save her pack she definitely feels sympathy and admiration from quite a few pack members. It’s clear that Ryland is not a loved and cherished alpha.
As I stated before, I feel that the pace of the entire series was rather slow. Sometimes, it felt like a chore reading the book. It’s odd though, because I loved the storyline. I also loved the characters, I just wished that there was more in terms of character building. For example, Teague’s excommunication from his birth pack was mentioned in all 3 books, but never explained. Why not? Teague’s brother and a small contingent of shifters from his pack came to Nashville and I still don’t really understand why. It just took up pages but didn’t do anything to actually advance the plot or story. . . Except that Osion was the one to mention that the alpha’s mate can take over as alpha should they decide they don’t want to do it anymore. Ok, but any other character could have been the one to provide that nugget of info. I thought with Teague’s brother there, it would have been a perfect opportunity to dive into his background more and find out exactly why he was excommunicated.
I also think that there was a missed opportunity to dive into Roman and Ryland’s relationship a bit. They’re cousins. It sounds like both of their fathers raised them rather violently but we have two totally different outcomes in the sons. Did they have any type of relationship as pups? Given the events in the first book and Ryland’s treatment of Roman, I was rather shocked to find out they were related.
All in all, it was an interesting read. I wouldn’t advise someone to skip it, but I would prioritize it lower on the “to read” list.
This was a fun and easy series book read. It’s a pretty straightforward wolf shifter RH. And although it’s not very “Deep” or going to give you the meaning of life, lol, you’ll enjoy it you like easy to read shifter romance and RH.
**SPOILER**
Sydney works tirelessly at a bar that was supposed to belong to her and her boyfriend, Grant. But Grant is a sleeze and tricked Sydney making sure she was not on the lease of the bar. So he owns it, and she’s pretty much a slave. One night things get…weird. She sees the most beautiful woman she has ever seen, Sydney steps out to go to the bathroom and encounters the beautiful woman who gives Sydney her scarf, seems pleasant, and then sprints away
Suddenly Sydney is attacked and viciously bitten by what she believes to be a wolf before she passes out! She wakes to an entirely new world. Sydney was bitten by Roman, the alpha of a small pack consisting of Elon and Teague. While Elon and Teague are happy to move her into their pack, Roman distances himself and tries to convince them just to dump Sydney. Finally they all 3 agree that if Sydney survives the wolf poison from the fangs that bit her, and shifts, they’ll help her. If her body reject the poison, she’ll die. Low and behold Sydney survives and joins the guys on their quest to capture the beautiful woman who is actually a demon - succubus - and has been draining people dry. The evil shifter, Rylan contracted Roman, Elon and Teague with the succubus mission, and when they fail (having turned a human instead) he’s furious and he and his pack go after them. All is hectic and run for your life, until Sydney shifts for the first time to discover she’s mate-marked, and mated to Roman, Elon and Teague. They head to Roman’s old pack (who isn’t happy to see him) since he “abandoned” them years ago, not wanting to be Alpha, even though his was born an Alpha. His sister, the interim Alpha reluctantly allows them to stay on her land and in her house.
But trouble seems to follow Sydney everywhere! Now Alpha Rylan (who is completely coo-coo for Coca-puffs!) is at Roman’s former packs land, demanding Sydney, since apparently she’s HIS mate too, in addition, Teague’s Australian packmates, including his brother, Osiron, come to talk about the succubi and rival packs upcoming war which will have a ton of repercussions on every supernatural, but serious serious ones on the wolfs side!
Sydney really comes around in the series. She grows, she evolves, she educates herself on shifter nature, and she just becomes a great character — going from sassy but sorta sweet, innocent and smart. She has an huge heart, doesn’t like killing, despite her shifter nature. But she’s strong, and gets stronger. Her guys; Elon is gregarious this child like eager personality who is hyper, but oh-so sweet and loves Sydney. Teague is affectionate and mysterious, and violent but only violent when need be it. And Roman is the “typical” hard handed, gruff, violent Alpha, but with a heart of gold. Greer teams up with her guys who have all made it back to the wolf compound ** SPOILERS** they are very NOT welcome, as everyone especially Roman knew it would be so. But because of their mate marks, Isla, Roman’s sister and interim Alpha allows them to stay. Suddenly the incubi, succubus factions are up in arms, AND Rylan insists on claiming Sydney, to force her to marry and then breed her, yuck!
All the characters grow during this series, and you get to come to like and enjoy their different personalities, and their connections with Sydney. It’s a nice, well paced, i.e. shifter romance(with a medium to high heat level) medium because the scenes are “shorter” with some stuff left to your imagination lol, and it’s not an insta-love romance. If you enjoy straightforward werewolf RH/romance. You’ll enjoy this series. **SPOILERS** P.S. One thing I really didn’t like was that as tough as Sydney came across, as accepting and “good” she was, she couldn’t DO ANYTHING. She couldn’t / didn’t know how to fight. With exception of shifting she didn’t really show abilities to lead a pack, save, her deductive skills. And yelling at the end (one speech) to tell everyone (the assembled packs) that she was Alpha, and hey just like that they all followed her…uhmmmm not terribly sure that was the best way to end the book.
This is it. Alpha Returned is the final book in the Feral Mates series and the conclusion to Sydney's story. I've enjoyed the series very much, the characters were great, the story compelling and I got an ending that satisfied me.
A lot was jammed packed in this book. Rylan was more prevalent in this book than he has been before, I got a better look at his personality and his action, and let me tell you I was not wrong, the guy is an ass. Rylan is so much worse than I thought, not only is he controlling, demeaning, abusive, and cruel, not just to his demon slaves (which is a whole other level of evil) but he is this way with everyone, demons, and shifters alike. There is no redeeming for a person like Rylan there is only surviving him.
Sydney has gone from being a human doormat to becoming a strong wolf shifter. Sydney has this brand new life as a supernatural in a pack, with the three mates of her heart, however, it's when she is taken away from them that she finds her strength. Sydney grows throughout the series but it really occurs in this book. With the faith in her goddess and feeling that connection she isn't crumbling without her mates, she stands up to Rylan every way she can. Sydney is taking chances, thinking things through, and considering all lives involved. Sydney has such a big heart and doesn't have the same bias against demons as other shifters might, it gives her a unique look at things and was the reason she was able to make friends with a few demons and get the respect of a guard. Sergei was a welcome ally in this story, it was something about him that felt peaceful and Sydney felt it as well, he was a light in the dark not only for Sydney but for the story as well.
The story was great, learning more about the past and the goddess was interesting, as well as seeing another pack, Rylan's pack, and how it was run was something totally different. The story was more centered on seeing the inter-workings of a pack that didn't have good intentions and Sydney trying to come up with a solution to not only her own dilemma but to everyone else's dilemma as well. Sydney has to make the choice when to fight or not, how the consequences of that fight affect those around her, and what exactly is the right way to defeat Rylan.
I'll tell you this much, Sabrina and Eden sure waited to the last minute when it came to the final act against Rylan. I knew it was coming but how it was happening I didn't. The last little bit did remind me of a movie, the adventure, the action, the will he, won't he, then that very dramatic conclusion, it was great! Not to mention the ending that made my heart happy. Alpha Returned was a great conclusion to the Feral Mates trilogy and I don't know if Sabrina and Eden plan on collaborating again in the future but I will be on the lookout for any books by both authors, separate work, and collaborations.
I found book 2 a little slow but loved the cliff hanger.
Book 3 picks up right after book 2 ends. Sydney has agreed to be with Rylan as long as he agrees not to hurt anyone she loves. Back at Rylan's pack grounds Sydney finds a whole different way of things & must find a way to navigate if she & the ones she loves are to survive Rylan's rule.
It was a quick read but moved a long at a slow pace & found it a bit stagnate. Some parts made no sense, such as stopping Rylan. It seems it needs to be one way to kill Rylan, but Rylan himself displays shifters can be killed another. This plot point was used to help move the story along but in the end seemed irrelevant when look back on certain actions. The authors did put in some interesting plot points / breadcrumbs over the 3 books, I just found most feel flat or nothing came of it, which seemed such a shame. This has an interesting twist on shifters & think if these points had been a bit stronger, would have enjoyed this series much more. But this series is good if you want a light quick read that is light on steaminess.
*** SPOILERS *** Book 3 & still do not know why Teague was excommunicated from his old pack. His excommunication has been mentioned in every book with no explanation. Another thing not answered was in book 2 when Isla took Sydney to the goddess temple & Isla clearly saw something but again this plot point has gone nowhere. It seemed this scene helped Sydney feel connected to the wolf goddess which flowed into book 3, but there seemed more to this that has gone nowhere. Frustrated these were not answered, especially with Teague as would have given great insight into his character.

So this is the third instalment of the series and is how Sydney plans to break herself free of Rylan and kill him which she does.
From that point on she has an attraction to Rylan but not as strong as she has with her 3 other men. It’s actually hot but she feels just aroused not in love with him. If he was different and fair she would have but he was a tyrant and discriminative towards his own kind even and the incubi and their species. She finds ways to slip notes to Isla who is in the dungeon and others to her servants to her three men. After she left, Roman was a drunk unable to get drunk and Elon and Teague were determined to find a way and with Sydeny’s and the goddesses help they found the flower that was shown to her in a dream or a riddle on an island. They did and slipped it to her servants and she fed it to him after their wedding on their honeymoon and he was so naive for drinking it and he shot it back cuz he was so aroused. He was so sweet with her because he wanted to fuck her lmao. Bro she killed him and had no remorse and as she should. He killed one of her maidens for helping her and slapped around innocent incubi as punishment for Sydney. I thought there was going to be a plot twist but no. I loved this series and rate all of it a 4.95/5. The only problem I had with thi is that the romance wasn’t shown much at all but the action made up for it and the love they had for each other as well.
Alpha Returned in a continuation from book two of the Feral Mates series. You’ll certainly want to have read the earlier books before reading this final book. The series wraps up, sometimes too perfectly, with an HEA and our heroine completing her arc. Rylan certainly lives up to his role as the villain and our heroes do their best to save the day from afar. While I may have enjoyed the beginning of her journey more than the end, the entire series has earned a solid 4 stars from me.
What an amazing ending to a great series! Self sacrifice, confidence that wavers, and severe determination make for an amazing main character that proves her worth and strength and keeps you rooting for her along the way! Rylans a snug man that meets his untimely match in our main character on their wedding night, that left me smirking something fierce. 2 men completely devoted and 1 wavering with the idea of losing our main character make for an awesome group of mates that go to the darkest forests to help save their woman! Over all the action and ultimate ending left me in love and also saddened to see these characters go with the end of the series. An excellent fast paced read!
In this book Sydney is forced to go to Rylan’s compound. She struggles being without her men. Sydney does befriend a few people and they help her to survive. The best part about this book was all the unexpected. I have grown so accustomed to the FMC getting everything she wanted and escaping all the traumatic events that could possible happen. This is not that book! It almost literally made me sick the things she done with Rylan. I’m still not over it. This was so surprising and I definitely needed to read it and experience a not so perfect ending!
Great conclusion to the series! It took me a while to get into this one, but once things truly started up, suddenly I was nearing the end and all the action was happening! I'm sad for Sydney, being drawn to someone she didn't actually want to be with. I think it's the only thing I really didn't like about this series. In saying that, it did highlight that fated mates feel a pull, yes, but they aren't forced to have feelings for each other. Nice little epilogue at the end, although I do wish it was a bit longer. All in all, a good read.
Page Turner Sydney really goes through some trauma in this book. Rylan is a fated mate but the Goddess has plans... I like where this book went and how the events played out. It was a page turner because I wanted to know what was going to happen next. There were some time jumps that made time go faster. I think that the men making up the harem are left out a bit in this book. We still don’t know them that well. I’m happy with the ending.
I think this third and final book was my favorite in the series. Sydney has agreed to marry Rylan and is held captive by him in his Miami stronghold. Her connection to the Goddess solidifies and her three true mates (minus stupid Roman) don't give up on her.
Unlike most reverse harem books, this book seriously neglects the relationship aspect. And I mean that in a good way. Sydney loves her mates and they are devoted to her, but this story is truly Sydney's and focuses on her development into what she is meant to be.
Kudos for a great series. I'm here to read more from these authors.
Before I started this series I hadn't read any books by these authors. And I'm so glad I gave them a go. As each book has had my hooked in tight and not let go until the end. This book like the previous has lots of action throughout and with some great characters and growth we see in Sydney is wicked. As it makes the book and the series end with a bang and such an amazing ending that they all deserve. I totally recommend these books
The third and final book did not disappoint! I was really interested to see where it would take our main characters and what the lengths they would go to keep their pack safe. While I wish we could have gotten more interaction of the main group (Sydney, Teague, Roman & Elon) and I was very happy that they all stayed safe and our wonderful authors wrapped up their story beautifully. I am excited to read more from Sabrina and Eden!
Without giving away the entire book in spoilers of a review... I just have to say that I couldn't get behind any of it. There are rape-y vibes and flat out gruesome murders. The ending is predictable enough you knew Sydney was going to become Alpha. It's not shocking as it was set up well but how it got there.... Is pretty inexcusable. I'm not sure I'm going to continue reading from there authors.

This is a brilliant conclusion to a fantastic series. Sydney has promised to marry Rylan in order to save her pack. Now she needs to tread very carefully, if she wants to survive and get back to her mates. The characters are well written and the story holds your attention from start to finish. I look forward to reading more by this author.
Sydney and Rylan are fated mates. She goes through some messed up stuff in this one. To me the book kind of dragged maybe it's because I'm used to RH having a little more romance between characters especially if they're fated. Unfortunately I did struggle a little bit to get into this book not like the first two.
Alpha Returned is the third & final book in the Feral Mates series and the conclusion to Sydney's story. I have enjoyed the series so much, with the character flow, the gripping story and an ending that pleased me. This was a new to me series and author – which I am so glad I got to go on this series/journey. I do wish there were more steamy scenes but overall great book!
I really enjoyed this book and loved the characters and how they came together. I am glad that everything worked out for them and they got rid of Rylan so that Sydney could take over as alpha. I was sad that they lost some allies along the way but at least there is peace fornow.
Although I have problems with the first book, I really enjoyed the series. Everyone has there own take on shifter fantasy and the story was strong I had trouble putting it down.
The ending was anticlimactic considering the buildup. And the main characters ambivalence to her end “situation” was out of character. It was a short read and left me disappointed.
A great ending to a series. Even though Sydney and Isla is torn from their home in Nashville to Ryland's home in Miami, Sydney stays strong with her belief in her true pack. She finds allies in where she was taken instead of only enemies.
And we continue on! The story wraps up nicely with an HEA and overall I enjoyed the series.
Book one was tops for me and we went from there but total stars for the series comes to 4. Worth the read especially if you need something quick, easy, and enjoyable.
I have loved watching Sydney growing as a woman and becoming amazing shifter. The only bad thing I would have love to know more about her baby and what the boys would have said after hearing she was pregnant, the name of the baby. And what was the twins.
Nice very trippy ending. This author didn't do anything normal. Never gonna like Roman, can't change a selfish self centered guy into the prince he was meant to be. The peace between shifter and demon was epic. So I actually finished the books. It was not easy.
I enjoy this book at had a great story to it. I think there should have been definitely more love scenes with details that's my opinion. Cuz there really was nothing like that except for maybe once per book
