Book 22 - Coop - Reed Security Series
Coop is the twenty second book in this amazing series and they just keep getting better and better! Wow where do I even begin. This story features around Daniel "Coop" Cooper who we initially met in Cazzo's story then got to know a little more about him in the Phoenix Rising book onwards. He was on the run from the evil Victor Adams with his teenage daughter Kayla and they turned to Reed security for help and have managed to make a home and family for themselves there. When Coop arrived the attraction between him and Becky Harding the tech support who has been with Reed Security since the beginning was obvious but they didn't act on it. Then in A Mad Reed Security Christmas Coop and Becky finally decided to give things a go which was beautiful! So here we are in Coop's story with Becky still working and living away from Reed Security but seeing Coop and trying to make a go of things with him and his seventeen year old daughter Kayla. Things are strained at times between Coop and Becky as he is struggling to make an emotional attachment with Becky and open up to her like she wants him too and he is also struggling to handle his rebellious daughter. When Becky has her Aretha Franklin moment it is everything and she is right. She needs more from Coop and after some time he begins to open up and when he does it is beautiful. Coop gets to experience all he has closed himself off from and it is quite emotional to read. They are finally in a good place in their relationship and Coop is going around like Mary Poppins trying to give advice to his team mates which is so funny and when Cap has to bring him back down to earth, its a shame but needs to be done before he gets himself in trouble with everyone. Through this Kayla is still acting out and putting herself at risk more and more but doesn't see the threats that her father does. When she goes against his rules events that are truly devasting occur and change Kayla and the relationship Coop and Becky have in ways nobody saw coming. The fall out is heartbreaking for all three of them and you wonder where things can go from here. Coop is focused on Kayla and her recovery and completely cut off from Becky who is falling apart. She only has her roommate Delaney and Cap. She is so lost it is so sad to see her strength vanish into heartbreak. Once she is trying to move forward devastation hits yet again and Coop realises what a huge mistake he has made and tries to repair the damage and again it is an emotional roller coaster as he tries to right his wrongs. This fated couple do get their happily ever after but they truly go through hell and back to get there. It is a heartbreakingly beautiful read that has you invested from beginning to end. It is so well written and we see so many sides to characters that we thought we knew but had so much more to give. There is drama, heartache, action and intrigue along with lots of twists and turns all balanced with humour, love and family and that is what makes this author, her characters and books so very special. I loved when Maggie is talking to a distraught Becky and only a few words were needed and Maggie knew exactly what was happening as Cap stood there in awe of her as the hysterical woman whisperer as he called it. That had me howling. I also feel for Tony Tacos who is now dealing with his own situation and fallout from what happened in Coop's story. What will happen next? I cannot wait to find out. I highly recommend that all books within this series are read in order to fully appreciate the characters and storylines. Happy Reading 5 out of 5 stars
Book 23 - TNT - Reed Security Series
TNT is the twenty third book in the outstanding Reed Security Series and it features around Anthony/Tony "Tacos" Russo and Molly Erickson. We start the story right from where Coop's book ended. Now Sean is on his way to arrest the suspect Benjamin Rogers, the murdering psychopath and get justice for the death of Delaney. Delaney was Becky's housemate and we now know Tony was having a relationship with her. Rogers is also being arrested for the attempted murder of Becky. Because Tony was with Delaney the night she was attacked and he is the one to last see her as he drops her at home he feels a profound sense of guilt that he never walked her to her door and checked the house out before he left to return to work. It doesn't help that the guys think he has lost the love of his life and treat him with delicacy instead of the usual banter they all share. He does not wanting to seem disrespectful to Delaney's memory however and the fact the guys aren't listening to him, he doesn't correct them that he and Delaney were not in love but just enjoying a physical relationship together. Tony tries to lose himself in drinking and women but what he doesn't expect is to meet a woman, have an instant and meaningful connection with her then forget all about it. From the moment we meet Molly Erickson we know that she is different. She has this innocence about her, this pure kindness that brings everyone to their knees and eating from the palm of her hand. Everyone loves Molly she is the kindest and sweetest woman that you could ever hope to meet. Molly is a breath of fresh air, partly because of her positive, upbeat attitude and willingness to help others but also only seeing the good in others makes her a unique kind of girl. This innocence drives Tony crazy as she doesn't seem to see threats anywhere or be aware of her surroundings which to a security specialist is infuriating. Tony doesn't seem to get through to Molly that he isn't interested and she is definitely not going to give up on her man. So they find themselves in a relationship which Molly is thrilled about and Tony doesn't understand. Molly does not listen to him and that works out for the best of them really as Molly is exactlywhat Tony was looking for all along. I adored meeting Gus, Molly's boss at The Pub where she works. Molly thinks he is such a Teddy bear, a gentle giant but in actual fact is an ex special forces member and we definitely need to see more of him. There frank discussions were so entertaining. Molly also has a bestie named Jenny and she is a riot, so I hope we see more of her too! In usual Reed style Tony, somehow gets duped by Maggie that the babies are coming and calls for back up when faced with her lie that now appears to be true and the triplets are coming whether Tony is ready or not, so sends for reinforcements in the form of Sinner, Rocco and Cap which is absolutely hilarious. I so want to know what actually happened on that roadside though. I felt for Molly she has a heart of gold yet gets laughed at for her naive and stalkerish behaviours however they are partly how Tony discovers he loves her so they aren't all bad. We also have a visit from Axel, Chris and Ali's son along with his SEAL team buddies Snake, Angel, Ghost, Tiny, Toro, Scrabble and Preacher. These guys definitely need their own stories to be told for sure! Reading Tony pull his "Red" moves was a thing of beauty. Molly's parents Momma an her dad Henry are great addional characters. Overall this story was really well written and wholeheartedly enjoyable from start to end. We definitely need to get a next generation with all the kids coming along. This series still has a lot to give, I know it does. I truly don't want it to ever end. I will be distraught once it does! Lots of action and drama. High heat and comedy moments that will have you laughing out loud as only this seeies can. Another truly great addition to an outstanding series that I cannot get enough of. I highly recommend that all books within this series are read in order to fully appreciate the characters and storylines. Happy Reading 5 out of 5 stars
Book 24 - Nightingale - Reed Security Series
Nightingale is the twenty fourth book in the almighty Reed Security Series and features around the ongoing relationship between Alec and Florrie. Following on from Alec's story we know that these two characters are strong minded, stubborn and have already had a rocky relationship so far. There have been highs and lows but they still came out of it all together. With Florrie having endometriosis and a previous miscarriage the hope of a family didn't seem to be on the cards for them. Then by chance they found Reid. A teenage runaway who they had been granted temporary guardianship of. Now we learn that Reid who thought he had no one actually has other family members that want him in their lives. So his aunt and uncle (The Fullers) seek to gain full custody of Reid. This is a devastating blow to Florrie and Alec who have already fallen in love with Reid and claim him as theirs. After serious thought Alec and Florrie find themselves at odds with one another. Alec being from a similar background to Reid wants him to have the chance of having a life with his biological family, where as Florrie is distraught and can't see Alec's reasons for not fighting harder and feels he is giving up. Not willing to lose Reid after the judges decision, Florrie plans to go on the run with him which leads to fall out unlike what we have seen before. The whole Reed family are at odds with one another, taking either Florrie or Alec's side and are far from the united family that we know and love. An example is that Ice and Chris are on opposite sides but we don't see them resolve their feelings or relationship. Cap has to step in because his friends, his chosen family, their business and future are all under threat if he cannot steer this sinking ship as only he can. This leads to a complete breakdown in the relationship between Florrie and Alec as she just cannot understand his reasoning. Where do they go from here? This story was so well written and packed full of so many emotions, high and lows as Florrie and Alec fight for Reid, fight for each other and their own sanity. Tensions are high, teams are broken, there is so much that happens that you feel like you are on an emotional roller coaster by the end. We still have the brotherhood together, their banter and camaraderie but at points it is fractured. We have scenes from Reid's point of view which is so impactful and even adds to the entertainment side when he discovers his feelings towards girls and kissing and the fear it sets amongst the adults. Sinner is great as is Knight. Craig is laugh out loud goodness. Caitlin is so like her momma it is scary, Cap is going to have his hands full for sure! This is definitely a great addition to a truly outstanding and enjoyable series. I highly recommend that all books within this series are read in order to fully appreciate the characters and storylines. Happy Reading 5 out of 5 stars
Where to begin. Coop: One this is for sure. Coop is the dad you love to hate. He wants to protect his daughter, but at the same time you want to strangle him because he's not letting her grow up and be normal. Always on the run, he's been the protective dad. With a daughter trying to live her life, and a woman he can't seem to get to see his way, Coop has his hands full. Becky is the brains behind Reed Security. She's the one everyone goes to for everything. When she threatens to leave because she needs a life, Coop was supposed to be the one to make her stay. His ways were always the best. Now she's gone, and with nothing to do, but a job that sucks, Becky decides to look into a few things going on around her neighborhood. When everyone brushes it off, Becky keeps looking and ends up putting herself in more danger than anything. Can these two come to terms about things?
Tony Tacos. Let me tell you something about Tony Tacos. This man is not Mexican, but he did work at Taco Bell. That is how he got his name. After the tragic loss of the woman he was dating and Becky's roommate, Tony is feeling a little guilty. He didn't commit the murder, but he lied to Delaney's parents about his relationship with their daughter. He's got the weight of the world on his shoulders. Molly is a special woman. She is just like her mother. Can't cook for crap, but falls too quickly. After meeting Tony one night in a bar, where he's drowning his sorrows, she takes him home because he's drunk and obviously in pain. She listens to him go on about a woman, and the next morning, she's right there trying to fix him. He has no clue who she is, but she keep inserting herself into his life. The men are making a joke of it, but in the end, she realizes that it was all a joke, and everyone took her as a stalker.. Will Tony remember that first night to get her back?
Nightingale Florrie: You either love or hate Florrie. There is an in-between with her, but sometimes you just need to push through just to get away from her. She's an independent woman with one thing on her mind REID. She lost him to family, but will do just about anything to keep him. Even if it means running with him. Alec is trying to be the reasonable one, but Florrie doesn't see anything else. With the whole Reed family going against one another because of her, you want to just hate her, but you feel for her. Even a woman like Florrie needs love in her life. Her story is one that will mostly likely make you angry, but hope that things turn out better for her.
This set of books was really good,it had alot of up and downs! I mean where Coop couldn't seen to over come any one seeing his scars,To where his Kayla getting rape ,and Becky almost dying and losing her friend Delaney! With the help of trust and love he came along ways and so did Kayla with rape and Becky with her almost dying and feeling like no cared when she was trying to help Kayla have some freedom but it backfire! Tnt was laughs in part but sad at the beginning, Molly was plain crazy or dizzy but she learned her lesson not to be so trustworthy all the time! Nightingale was the best of the three books ,I felt that Florence had alot of angry issues and she made me feelthat she was only the right one or you had to see it her way and only her way was right and Alec should of discussed things with her, that how a partnership works. I was getting kick out of Craig when they where in Dr.Sunshine's office and he was going all the pregnancy symptoms he was having! Great books.
Great reads - books 22 - 24 I have read all of the books in this series, one after the other. I have laughed till my sides were sore and often cried too. The backstories are brilliantly thought out and explain why these alpha males and super-alpha females are together. With the addition of the children and the extended families and friends - the suspense is well done and it is so obvious there is never going to be a happy ending for anyone who seeks to take on Reed Security.
ALL GREAT READS , Coop was more intense , and when the situation with kayla came up i had to breathe deeply to get thru it brought back painful memories when i was 16 and what happened to me ... so was rough reading that .. tony and molly were hilarious good calming fun...alec and florrie ... what can i say heartbreaking that she and half the teams all had different feelings and how they dealt with everything ... I was def on alec's side till he let his hurt make him do something foolish but then florrie practically did the same to him... OVERALL Good Reading ...
The first book was extremely sad and I almost cried through the whole thing but it finally turned better. The second book was much more humerous and I laughed a lot. The third book was intense. I felt Florrie was a selfish b###h!! I do not know any man that would put up with her crap. Dividing the teams was horrible. I'm glad they worked through it..but I hated the division.
Hot men with their sexy equally hot ladies/wife this is just reading magic mike but again I think those Reed Security guys are hotter (fanning) 😊 they are on fire who doesn’t want a muscled tattooed man it’s hotness. Reed Security series is one of a heck action book. Amazing author and I love her books 👌recommend 100%.
I have read all the books so far in this series. There are sections that are so funny that I laugh until I have tears. And there are also times that I'm crying sad tears.
This is a great series and I'm so glad I stumbled on the author.
These men and women are flawed characters in the best ways. They own up to their mistakes unless they are named Florrie. Still not a fan of hers no matter how frequent a character she is.
This boxed set had a lot going on and add to the mix the alpha males and their crazy women at times and if anything can go wrong it probably will looking forward to the last boxed set in this series and hopefully there will be more featuring the next generation
These books are so good. Kayla wrecked me , Becky broke my heart and Florrie , boy did she make me feel every emotion. I want more Reid and a Becky update. I'm really hoping it's in the next set.
I love this series. I get aggravated at the characters sometimes because they don’t work out their problems, but it all comes out good at the the end, thought. These are hilarious sometimes too.
Oof TNT hurt my heart so much!!! The amount of pain they all went through!!! And Becky is such a strong character for what she went through!! Love these books so much!!! Can't wit for the next one!!
These guys and girls are rollercoasters!! Yes, more than one - so many emotional twists and turns! So MUCH intensity, tension, bad guys and NOT TO MENTION - the goofy stuff these folks get into! Thank you for your time, talent AND THE STORIES!!
Your books just get better. Every story sexy funny emotional and the characters are just that. I find at times actually laughing out loud or smiling and get looks from those around me and even a tear might show up!!! Now to box set 9!!!!
Another really good boxset. This series is amazing reading and the guys back and forth quips at eachother are just brilliant and have you giggling out loud.
