As Ethan flew to Esconda to meet up with his parents, he had no idea what was ahead of him. Ethan was E-Boy who got his powers from any nearby technology. With Dr Penny out of reach, Ethan had to go it alone – until he discovered himself weakening. He’d stopped the notorious thief, Money Man, with his manipulation of the technology around him, but when he found himself become strangely weak, he sent a text to Dr Penny, hoping she could come immediately.

With Ethan and Penny making a dash through the jungle in search of help, they had no way of knowing Gemini was following them. He was a robot and had been programmed to search and locate both Ethan and Penny. Would they stay ahead of him? Would Ethan be able to get help for his rapidly dwindling powers?

E-Boy: Enter the Jungle is the 3rd in the E-Boy series by Aussie author Anh Do and I enjoyed it. Fast paced with plenty of action from both good and bad, the ending was left hanging on a cliff edge! A series which would be enjoyed by youngsters around 10 years of age and older, I have no hesitation in recommending these books.

With thanks to Allen & Unwin for my ARC to read in exchange for an honest review.

Ethan (E-Boy) is now on his own, suffering under a betrayal from the one person he thought he could rely on. When his parents send a message to him from Esconda, he knows he has to get to them, and soon.

Esconda is a place of sunshine and holiday makers, but lately something is spoiling that - Money Man. He is a man who has an amazing ability to draw coins and bank notes to him by just using his mind. He can walk through a crowd and be hundreds of dollars richer without anyone knowing, but now he is greedy. He demands every last dollar from the people he robs. It's not long before E-Boy sees this thief in action on the streets, and he is keen to stop him.

His fight with Money Man leaves him injured, and this time E-Boy knows it's something serious. Looking for a cure sends E-Boy on a long journey, not knowing someone even more dangerous than Money Man is tracking him.

Something is happening to E-Boy. Now it's not just his arm failing him. Is he powering down somehow....?

Another exciting instalment in this series. With large font and illustrations on nearly every page, E-Boy novels are perfect for reluctant readers or someone wanting a quick, riveting read. They finish in the middle of the action though, so be sure to have the next one nearby if you can!

Enter the Jungle is just that, where E-Boy finds himself hurtling towards waterfalls, tethered by spears to a cliff and surrounded by tribesman in the jungle. No. 4 is out August 2022!

Thoroughly enjoyed the first E-Boy book. Read Enter the Jungle without reading book two. Felt I missed out in bits of the story.
