Some say my ego arrives on the ice before me. Who can refute the fact that I put the most pucks in the net? Girls think my accent is adorable and I’m never at a loss for companionship. But when I find out some chick named Callie in stats wants to trade the player who is the heart and soul of our team I decide I have to confront her and let her know she’s wrong in her analytics.

Alexander is a playboy, who is know for being arrogant, late to practice and never calling his girl friends by their name. Callie works in the management office, here job is to pull the stats and see how the player are playing. When a rumor of trade reaches Alexander, he is determined to put a stop to it, until he meets her.
The author has an amazing what of transforming the characters through out the story. Jagged Ice is a well written story that will pull you and have lost in the journey as Alexander finally opens his heart. Callie is pushed by her friend to start dating again after a year of her ex leaving her. She is hesitant to open up to Alexander as she only know him from what she has heard and read. But the more time they spent together, Callie starts to see the side of him he only let a few see.
Great addition to the series that will take you on a ride of ups and down that you will not want to put down.
I received a free copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This one had the making for a 5-star read, it was in dual POVs, didn't have too much angst but instead had mild steam and enough witty banter. But, then the story just fast forwarded as the final few chapters seemed rush and the HEA was a disappointment, it was more a HFN but definitely should have been a HEA with what was going on with Alexandre & Callie. Overall the book was good and wouldn't have wanted to miss it so would recommend Jagged Ice and the Maine Maulers series. Unfortunately, this book could have been great had it been a bit longer so the ending wouldn't have been rushed. Even though I did receive an advanced review copy of this book, I also purchased the book/read with Kindle Unlimited and am voluntarily leaving my own unsolicited opinion with my voluntary review.
I'm was worried going into this that I was in a reading slump. I had put the boxset aside a month ago after Rookie In Love and have just read a couple of not so great other books by other authors but hoped this would get me out of the slump as the newer books in the series are good. Unfortunately that wasn't the case, not a lot happened outside of lots of self loathing inner monologues. Oh the standard oops pregnancy was more annoying than usual. The cause of which beggars belief really and the timeline was very quick. There were inconsistencies; Callie leaving the bathroom then continuing to head to the bathroom, are his thighs or her boobs big or not. The constant brand name dropping didn't add to his arrogant persona, it was off putting. Sorry but this was a miss for me. I will perservere as I know books 5 & 6 are good.
This is book 2 of the Maine Maulers Hockey Club. A super-jock, woman using player, Canadian Alexandre, goes up against a numbers cruncher in the organization, Callie, because the numbers indicate a particular player isn't holding his own, and Alex wants to protect the player and keep him on the team. This type of behaviour is totally against his known personality, but Callie draws out the caring, compassionate Alex. An entertaining story, with turns and depth. It certainly kept me well entertained. My only wish would be that the eventual reconciliation was a bit more drawn out, with more emotion. But overall, this is a 5 Star book! I loved it. Now, can we have Book 3?
Zoe's stories have just the right amount of hockey without it overpowering the romance to make them onto my must read list. I loved the chemistry between Alexandre and Callie and their HEA was wonderful, it was also great to read how Wyatt and Emily, the couple from Rookie In Love, the previous book in the series, were doing. I read Jagged Ice in a day making it another of Zoe's books I couldn't put down, Zoe's books keep getting better and better. I can't wait to see how this series progresses and to hear more about the rest of the Maulers. I received an ARC copy to give an honest review.
He’s a famous NHL player for the Maine Maulers and well know as a player! She also works for the Maine Maulers in analytics. When Alexandre Holloway gets wind of a potential trade of one of his friends he rushes up to Callie’s office to talk to her about it. He is dumbstruck by her beauty. Thinking maybe he can save Petey from the trading block he decides to use his charm to try and influence her! But one date and he’s hooked! Another ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ book in the Maine Maulers series by Zoe Beth Geller !
Emily and Alexandre had a weird start but it was fun watching them fall for each other.
What started as him trying to save a teammate from being traded ended with him getting a date with the girl from management. Alexandre is such player that no one knows what to do with him when he seems to want to commit. Emily is hiding out after a bad breakup and he is not her type. I love just how opposite they seem but how alike they really are.
Pros: I'm really enjoying this series. Love how the author is dedicating one book to the main players. I like how the author gives the POV of the player on the ice and him being a hockey player is at the forefront of his character. I love that Callie is a nerd to Alexandre's typical jock -- digging the whole opposites attract trope.
Cons: Typos, oh so many typos throughout the book. The pace at the end of the book picks up really quickly and it feels like there is more to Callie and Alexandre's story than what we are getting.
To save a fellow team member. A hockey player storms up to find why the team is contemplating trading a valued friend of the teams players. Little does he know he's met his true love. Excellent!!!
The serial playboy, can he be tamed into settling down? Lots of women have tried in the past and have been left with broken hearts. Now it's Callie's turn to try.
A great story which I enjoyed reading! I received a complimentary copy of the book and I'm leaving a voluntary and honest review.
Nice twists liked the characters. Alexandre was full of himself but he actually cared about others. I like how Zoe includes the team in her pro series.
If you love a bad boy turned sweetheart story, this book is for you. We’ve all dated a guy like this so it’s completely relatable. Zoe Beth Geller never disappoints and always delivers.
A playboy hard working hockey player. It’s a well written book with amazing story line and sexy scenes. You don’t need to read all the previous book from the series to enjoy it but Zoe is a wonderful writer you must read her hockey romance book.
Alexandre Holloway is a professional hockey player for the Maine Maulers. He is known as a player, a love and leave them type of guy never calling his dates by their first name and certainly doesn’t want to settle down. Callie is considered to be a nerdy girl at work where she is paid to be a number cruncher working for the Maine Maulers. She watches the games, study’s the team and runs the stats. She is considered a part of management and they just don’t mix with the players. Alexandre gets a phone call about a rumor trade of his teammate and he’s not happy so he heads up to management and runs into Callie and realizes she’s the one he is going to confront. He decides on a date to try and persuade Callie otherwise. Oh but she’s not like his typical dates. Can he change her mind or will she change his?
