Sarah Meyer has lived a rather interesting life. Conjoined with a Demon that won't let go, she has been under the protective custody of the Sisters of San Francesco. Under the guidance of her mentor, Father Lucian, she helps solve some of the world’s most terrifying paranormal mysteries. These are her stories.
A natural disaster with an unnatural origin, toppled the thousands of crosses that adorn a hill outside Šiauliai, Lithuania, breaking a sacred seal that had entombed a devilish creature that terrorized this small town eons ago. Father Lucian and Sister Sarah rushed to help another bringing Sarah to her first encounter with two of the "keepers" that battled her in the woods in Miller's Crossing. Sparks fly and trusts are frayed, but in the end they must be thier differences together for the same common cause. When it is not enough, Sarah is left with one option, an unforgivable one. Sometimes it takes a beast to defeat a beast, but at what cost?
David Clark is an author of multiple self-published horror novels and anthologies (amazon genre top 100) and can be found in 3 published horror anthologies. His writing focuses on the suspense, horror and sci-fi genres with a writing style takes a story based on reality, develops characters the reader can connect with and pull for, and then sending the reader on a roller-coaster journey the best fortune teller cannot predict. He feels his job is done if the reader either gasps, makes a verbal reaction out loud, throws the book across the room, or hopefully all three.
Crossed is the third book in The Stories of Sister Sarah and, as with the others in this series, it is a captivating read. As Sarah Meyer and Father Lucian head to Šiauliai, Lithuania to help stop a seal from being broken, she will encounter keepers from her past, people who won’t trust her easily. They will need to gather all their forces to battle what is coming, but the cost will be dear. I was unable to put down this suspense-filled, chilling novella. The whole series are great paranormal mysteries as are his Miller’s Crossing books. I received a copy of this book for an honest review.
Very quick read. Written well enough but seemed a bit disjointed from what I had read of Sister Sarah previously. Sent to Lithuania to aid in resealing an escaping demon, Sister Sarah is met by hostility and mistrust. She must fight through that while trying to do what she was brought there for. During the fight she takes a heavy loss and it remains to be seen as to what this means for her future in her coming battles. I received a complimentary copy of this book and this is my honest and unbiased review.
I couldn't put this exciting and hair-raising book down. Like the other books, it is a great paranormal mystery. This time, Sister Sarah is sent to Lithuania to help reseal an escaping demon. Sadly, Sister Sarah encounters hostility and suspicion, and she has to get through it to do what she was brought there for. Will her and her fellow fighters succeed and survive? Read this great book and you will know. I received a copy of this book for an honest review.
This is a wonderful addition to this thrilling series! Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start. Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believable. Great suspense and action with wonderful world building that adds so much to the story. Such a thrilling read that I couldn't put it down. Can't wait to read more of these. Recommend reading.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
This series tells about the demons that Sister Sarah and her entourage have sent back to hell. In this story Sister Sarah suffered some losses and had unimagined struggles to keep the town safe. It has non stop action that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the last page. I received an advance copy of this book for free and this is my honest review.
A powerful demon has infested town in Lithuania. Sarah is tasked with dealing with the demon. However, the other Keepers who are on the same mission treat her as an abomination. What will Sarah do? Give up or Go on? Another gripping book by David Clark on Sarah's exploits.
Another great book in the series and I enjoyed. I must admit though that I haven't read Miller's Crossing yet but it's on my list to read. The Sister Sarah books cover a lot and stand well on their own as a series. I look forward to the next in the series.
