After a girl’s night out with old friends at Renegades; I found myself naked in bed with Conner a man I just met the night before. He rescued me from walking into a middle of a bar fight. Have you got bored of reading long bulky fiction stories that is not going anywhere? Do you want to read something short but spicy? Do you also want a quick hot steamy romance with ups and downs? If you answered any of the questions in positive, then this book is just right for you. No kidding.
This is a story that revolves around Conner and Layla. But what’s more perfect than getting inside the head of both the characters. Yes, you read it right, we get to read both Conner’s and Layla’s point of view. So, there is a room for less assumption and more action.
Layla and Conner both are strangers who had a one night stand together. They had a hot, steamy, passionate and an unforgetful night. Afterwards, they parted ways but would they be able to find each other after five months? Well, I bet you’re as eager to find that out as me. It was an amazing and quick read, just as I like. This is the first book in the ‘Just Us Series’. I highly recommend it. MUST BUY.

While headed to the bathroom, Layla bumps into Conner. Conner and Layla have an instant connection and a passionate night, but when get gets a call about her dad, she leaves.
Several months later, Conner still look for Layla, when she returns and explains, letting go is the last things Conner wants to do again. Conner and Layla's chemistry is hot and steamy, their brief time together will have you melting with each turn of the page. You can feel the lost as the days slip by without any contact.
This is a great fast read, perfect for a quick break.

A series of three books, revolving around a group of friends who find love. In my opinion it is more about the erotic content than about the story, I personally like a nice story around it. In addition, I do not like the writing style, it is short, abrupt sentences, no nice sentence structure, a bit simplistic, no flowing story. Content is meager, bar owner and ex-marine meet woman of his life, have an exciting night together, but then woman disappears for 5 months due to family circumstances. Fortunately she comes back and meet again.

I enjoyed this book because it’s short and sweet, with all the steaminess you can ask for. If you are looking for a quick read romance that will have you hooked from the very beginning, this is the book/series for you! I love the love and protectiveness Conner has for Layla (even from Dylan at first LOL). Even though it was short, and you might think you can’t possibly know enough about the characters to feel a connection, K.L. Stephens managed to pull it off. Check it out, you’ll love it!

Conner and Layla's Story . . .
Conner is an ex-marine, now bar-owner of Renegades. He was so busy making his bar successful that has hasn’t found love yet. When a beautiful woman walks in, she gets his full attention. A group of bikers had been drinking heavily and he was keeping an eye on them. When the woman got up and headed for the bathroom, she wasn’t paying attention to the fight that started up until Conner pulled her against his chest and signaled his bouncers to deal with the bikers. When he looked down into her eyes, she was almost mesmerized. He let her go and returned to his office before he embarrassed himself. By the time Layla decided she should thank the man for rescuing her, he was nowhere around.
When Conner came out of his office and walked over to her, Layla thanked him and he asked her to dance. By the time last call came, her friend had left so he walked her out to his SUV to drive her to her car. But before he did, he kissed her. She snuggled in and kissed him back. Then he remembered the camera aimed at his SUV, stopped kissing her, and took some deep breaths! Asking, “Your car or my place?”, he drove home with her.
The two of them had a steamy, passionate, memorable night. But an emergency phone call about her father had her racing away to the airport. He hadn’t heard from her in the five months since she disappeared. None of her friends from that girls’ night out came back either. He had no way to contact her. But he can’t forget her. Afterwards, they part ways, but would they be able to find each other after five months? And when he saw her on the camera, not believing his eyes, he rushed out to see her – as a handsome guy put his arm around her and told her he loved her! Had she moved on? Was he too late?

From the first moment Layla enters his bar, Conner is hooked. Chemistry just sizzles between the two and results in a passionate and unforgettable night. However an emergency calls Layla away, and they lose touch for five months They will need to figure out if they can re-connect then. I though this novella was steamy hot and fun to read.
